"I remember Millicent, Connor.  And I will for as long as she is part of me.  I know what these magics are capable in the hands of someone who thinks themselves greater than everyone else."

Alstroe nodded, though once again she appeared deep in thought.  Though she still met her brother's eyes it seemed she was looking past him.

"This is also something that we do not carry alone.  I believe that Davian is leading the charge in Lagalla as far as that is concerned, no doubt some information has been or will be disseminated into the next generation of Paladins.  Then there are Mistral and her Revenant Knights on the Zodian front.  Seasilia also has brought up concerns, as it is a pressing issue in the long term.  I believe our generation will do well to explain things to the next when the time is right.  I have already began seeking out those outside of our original compatriot circle who could also be entrusted with this information.  However, it is slow to build such trust.

Even with what I know I can hardly imagine the threat we could face in the Antecedents.  Aisling was vague to Arlen, both to her intentions in doing what she did in Lagalla and to the threat she left us to face.  But, I can hardly blame her from wanting to hide things from her children, especially in light of this conversation.  And well... Siah is Siah."

She sighed, thinking to Siah.  She could still feel her presence far, far off in the distance.

"But regardless, Adrian is a special case.  Even without the distant looming threat.  I do not know what kind of person he will grow up to be, nor what choices he will make.  I suppose I can only hope what he has received from both you and Warren steer him on an altruistic path," she said with a serine smile.
Connor laughed “I’m afraid he inherited his ability to dig his heels in from both of us. Though I hope we taught him and Lanon both to care for their fellows. Last thing we need is restart the inheritance of hatred we have taught so hard against.”

He stood and offered a hand to his sister. “We still have a long way to go it seems but you’re right when you say we aren’t alone. We have achieved a lot, just have to follow through at this point.”
Alstroe nodded to her brother.

“Yes, there is much and more that needs to be done. In any case I believe we have covered all we can for now.  I plan to inform Adrian of this option at his next birthday.  Then it will be up to him if he wishes to follow this path.”

She offered her brother a reassuring smile.

“But with that, I believe that brings us to the end of our business.  Unless you’ve had any pressing concerns we have yet to address?”
Connor met his sister’s eyes with his own and smiled. “I think that’s all the business in fact. Nothing less then the future of all my loved ones to a greater or lesser degrees. Business as usual really.”

He stood up and offered his hand to her. “I am trusting you with one of the most important things in the world to me.”
There was slight hesitation before Alstroe reached out her own hand.  More out of surprise then trepidation.  The two of them had come so far, after all.

"I understand, Connor," She said as she took his hand, her smile brightening.  "I will do my best to look after him."
