"You think we are abandoning you, condoning you for thinking differently then we do. I wonder if you even see the major threat to us." Dog would be the first to speak up, walking over to Costello, slumping over and at his feet. Dog would bend down, using both hands to pick the large Au Ra up, standing him back up and on his feet.
"Ishgard isn't the threat to us. They won't leave their front gates. The Dragoon lass will come back, there's no doubt in my mind that she will. She will be back for Dawn, she will return for me, and she will return to attempt to kill the dragon. She will rally up as many of her allies as she can, and all we can do is stand and fight back. But Ishgard itself isn't the problem." Dog would say this, looking into Costello's eyes.
"Tell me, Warrior. What will you do when she returns. Will you tell her that you killed the dragon she was tasked with slaying? Will that bring her masters life back, undo the betrayal Dawn wrought on her? Will it bring back her ally that I killed? Tell me Warrior!" Dog would push the Au Ra back a little, immediately it would seem he would catch himself, taking a second to retrain his thoughts. "Or will you stand with us, with Dawn. Surely you know what kind of rage that will be, when it comes knocking at our door." Dog would pause again, taking a second to size the Au Ra up, as he had done many a time. He would continue.
"The dragon isn't a threat either. Its a nursing mother, it'll be months before the eggs hatch. You have my promise that those hatchlings won't harm anything. The biggest threat they provide is only to those that will attack them out of spite. They will hunt, they will grow, they will roam, but they are very unlikely to approach any settlement willingly. We can work on relocating them at another time. But. "Dogs eyes would glare at Costello. "If you do what I think you are implying, know this. I will be there. I didn't protect her just to give the OK for another member to go and attempt to execute her!" Dog would again seem to shake, the conviction in his voice very clear. Again, he took but a mere second to calm down, his voice ringing in Costello's face again.
"The major threat we have right now, is this right here. Why do you not trust us Costello! You speak like your decision is the correct one, the only one. You say that our decision WILL cause tragedy, without there being any other way! Whatever decision you made in the past, that was then! If you force us to live in your past, then nothing but tragedy will befall!" Dog would finally press the Au Ra against the wall behind him, letting go of his shoulders, continuing the stare off he was undoubtedly in. "Instead of this doom and gloom, this one way of thinking. Why don't you instead focus your energy on whats to come. Your solution doesn't fix anything, its just more killing. I can't be the only one tired of pointlessly slaughtering because I'm told to." Dog would pause, his eyes for once averting from Costello. He would press on, "If you truly care for those around you, I implore you to start showing it. I'm unconvinced, as I simply feel like a strong ally is just abandoning us. And for nothing more then doing what the group felt was right." Dog would say his final statement, leaving the Au Ra pushed up against the wall, returning to his seat.
