"I thought as much, a-at least I was on the correct path." Seasil sighed again, contemplating Penelope's words.
"There will most certainly be complications abound, then." She pursed her lips and leaned forward. "I... I s-see where the trouble you had came from. Simply put, going against the grain is g-generally frowned upon, even in new cultures. I'm sorry, as that could not have been easy for you. Still, you... you f-found a way."
Seasil sat back and sighed, shaky as always. Her eyes moved and her pupils dilated with a thoughtful look. "T-truly, a lady from the North would be a much smarter, political, choice for any of the more powerful, Southren, Zodian houses. If th-there is dissent and malcontent there... I c-can't imagine that two of the most eligible bachelors in Zodia choosing... anyone but a Northern lady... would be..." Seasil's voice fell to a whisper, almost afraid to say what she already knew, "... foolhardy and something viewed as a slight."
A heavy sighed followed. The dragonelle broke her gaze with Penelope and looked to the ground. While she was certainly not ashamed, Seasil clearly was wrestling with the concept.
