Drew stared at the canvas in front of him. He’d been trying to lose himself and even more so his own thoughts in painting for well over an hour now. The Wylds conquered his thoughts however especially the urge to go back.
He sighed to himself the dragon even silent as he worked over his own thoughts. He didn’t like where things were left with Eli, he hated disappointing his best friend. He didn’t like himself, How could anyone? I’m not worth anything. The thought bubbled through as he was just about to finally begin to paint his brush millimeters from the canvas.
He picked up the brush again and again put it down as the voices of the cherubs chorused in his head. They didn’t say anything he didn’t already know but the harsh truth still made him wince.
He unlocked the door then swallowed his insecurities for long enough to speak through it. “Eli. Can we talk?”
