"Och'krokul." Remnii smiled, letting the image of Akama, too, fade away. "I like it! I must tell the Ati-Kaso of this, I believe it will gladden their hearts and bring peace to them while we work to close the physical distance between us."
Animated and thoughtful, Remnii's tail swayed, churning through Velen's words, the expressions on his face, and the air about him. His cursory acceptance of her self-given cause gave her hope, yes, but Ishanah's words wove through her mind, she knew her sister's words to be true. Truly convincing Velen of the importance to finally, physically, build the Army of Light... and the role he would have in it by virtue of who he was?
At least I could reach him with the concept. This is something I should not, and cannot, rush. If I must wager a guess... he will spend many hours, after this, in meditation about the reality and depth to the crux we sit upon.
In her thoughts, Remnii laughed to herself, and she could not help looking to Velen with a look of warm adoration. Still, they were onto serious matters, so she tempered her expression and soon turned to refocus on the lost crystals. For the first time, she sighed, a little exasperated at the daunting task of gathering all of the wayward relics. She chewed on the inside of her lip. Still she squeezed his hand.
"I will stop at nothing to negotiate proper terms of the release of our people and those relics dear to us." She spoke with quiet intent, "I do not anticipate it being easy, yet I have a number of pieces in my bargaining arsenal that I believe will be valuable, if not life saving, for every party. It is imperative that we work as one in the future, especially if the Exodar is lodged in their lands.
"For now, though, they will likely be kept safe." She gave him a small, cajoling, smile, "it it not much comfort, but... I imagine they know power when they feel it. They are a wise people, from what I know of them. As for the other crystals, I will explain as I go."
As they strolled through lavender fields, Remnii regaled him with tales of survival and peril, taking care to embellish the little moments between scraps with Orcs and near-starvation. Those little moments, the naming of the Ati-Kaso, the comical scuffs between the now-mated Hama and Behrmis, any of the antics that could bring levity, she told. On his arm, she went at his pace, leisurely and unhurried, away from the real world's troubles, despite the heavy nature of their conversation. The tale of the Ati-Kaso was one of hardship and strife, yet what wove the story together was hope and a great deal of love. Wherever they had gone, they had been able to support one another.
It nearly gave Remnii a headache to think of how packed with change the last year had been. She stopped short of the mission that changed the trajectory of her life forever, the one that opened her eyes to what, exactly, needed to be done and how she would achieve building the foundations for the Army of Light.
Before she continued, she looked to her Vakas. "This is a long story, I know. I have not spared many details, nor will I."
Bending down, Remnii reached into one of the many violet bushes and plucked two blooms. She kept their hands linked but stepped before him, stopping them entirely. She tucked one flower behind his ear and she added another to the one he had added hours ago, now. With a smile, she searched her father's tired face.
"I also know that between endless visions and the contemplation of today, tomorrow, and the next day... you will take time to dissect the stories I've told you." Remnii's tone wound between serious and loving in every word, "You, Vakas, will somehow allow me to occupy that space in your mind. Yet, I did not bring you here to simply regale you with the trials and tribulations of my time on Draenor. No. This is for you, as much as it is for me-- as I intend to meet you here every night until you get sick of me, or at least until we begin to move and I must dedicate my mana to healing once again. I have plans, and I am excited to show you these beautiful vistas!"
She laughed and relaxed her shoulders, pushing back her sense of urgency and need to progress. That could, and would, wait.
"So what would you say to enjoying the rest of this dream? The world is pressing, yes. I would never be so insensitive as to forget for a moment... but let us at least take my tale in bite-sized chunks. How about we enjoy a walk for a walk's sake? You deserve a reprieve, Vakas and I would see you take at least one per sleep... starting immediately. I know, otherwise... you will never allow yourself this time."
Beginning to walk again, slowly, Remnii tugged at his hand with a gentle smile, hoping to coax him onto a lighter path for the rest of the night.
