Ancestry Traits

Size. Your size is Medium.
Speed. 30 ft.

Creature Type.
You are a Fey.
Darkvision (1 point).
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Bite (1 point).
Your fanged maw is a natural weapon with the Finesse property, which you can use to make unarmed strikes while in your hybrid or vulpine form. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Keen Hearing and Smell (1 point).
You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Shapechanger (1 point).
As an action, you may polymorph into one of your three forms: that of a specific single human form of the same sex, your quadrupedal vulpine form, or your hybrid anthropomorphic fox form. Your statistics are the same in each form, unless otherwise noted. Any equipment you aren't wearing or carrying isn't transformed, and you revert to your vulpine form if you die.

Paragon Options

Effortless Trickery

When you cast an illusion spell with a concentration duration while already maintaining concentration on another spell, you may choose to combine the concentration of the two spells together. If you do this, the duration of each spell becomes 1 minute if it was longer than that, unless both spells are illusion spells. If you lose concentration on one of these spells, you lose concentration on both spells.

Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Evasion

When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Frolic

You are practiced at bounding through fields, forests, and meadows. You gain the following abilities:

Kitsune Magic

You learn more advanced magic of the kitsune. You learn either the dancing lights or prestidigitation cantrip. You also learn your choice of two of the following spells: charm person, color spray, disguise self, hypnotic pattern, invisibility, mischief, or suggestion. You can cast these spells once each without spending mana and without material components. Once you do, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

You can also cast these spells using mana if you can cast spells of the appropriate level.

Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this culture).

Magic Resistance

You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Nine-Tailed Fox

You grow an additional number of tails. When you gain this trait, choose a number between 2 and 9 (or roll a 1d8 and add 1 to it). You grow that many tails. When you or a creature you can see rolls the number of tails you have on a d20 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may treat that roll as if you had rolled a natural 1 or a 20 on the d20. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
