Enchanted Evening

5th-Level Transmutation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: VS
Duration: 8 hours

This spell allows you to change the clothing of any number of creatures that you can see within range. You choose the style, appearance, quality, materials, and functionality of each outfit worn by the targets. An unwilling target can make a Charisma saving throw, and if it succeeds, it is unaffected by this spell.
The spell transforms the outfit or armor worn by the target into another type of outfit. Outfits transformed by this spell can have functionality added or removed to the clothing based on the transformations, but magic items and armor affected by this spell retain any magic effects or AC benefits regardless of shape. For example, rags transformed into a heavy coat gain the benefits of winter clothing, but a suit of plate armor transformed into a fancy ball gown still grants its AC benefits. Otherwise, the extent of the transformation is up to you. Weapons and other worn or equipped objects can have their appearance altered to fit the outfit's appearance as long as the target is wearing or carrying them, but they must still be recognizable as the items they are–a longsword must still appear as a longsword. The spell lasts for the duration, unless you use your action to dismiss it sooner.
The changes wrought by this spell hold up to physical inspection. For example, rough leather transformed into silk feels smooth, and accessories added to an outfit remain physical objects until removed.
A creature can use its action to inspect a target and make an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, it becomes aware that the target's clothing is altered or conjured by magic.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the duration is 24 hours. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level, the spell lasts until dispelled.
