July 31st

The group takes a moment to take a deep sigh of relief, realizing they had, in fact, managed to defuse all the magical explosives. Maraad immediately goes over to Remnii and pulls her into a hug as she stands, looking around at the Exodar. Remnii freezes, and then shakes as she starts to sniffle and cries into his armor.

Maraad says [draenic]: It’s alright, Remnii.
Remnii says [draenic]: I understand… what has been lost… but it’s everywhere I look… their home isn’t safe. Our home… we don’t have one. It’s never enough. I’m sorry, but thank you.

Remnii sniffles again, looking quite distressed, but she releases the hug after the paladin heals her with his lay on hands.

Remnii says [draenic]: Thank you.

She keeps a hand on Maraad as she looks to the rest of the group.

Velameestra Windrunner says: Do we want to try and find any signs of the other Rangari?

Remnii nods.

Remnii says: I would be lying if I said I believed we were done. I don’t know if there are anymore bombs or anything… but if there was a set-up here, there is likely more work to be done. The Exodar is not a small facility, and neither were its sisters. I did want to thank you though. All of you. I know you all would have done such for anyone’s home, but this is all we have, and I appreciate the effort all of you put forth.
Maraad says: The resources here will be valuable to our people. You have my thanks as well.

Maraad bows with a nod.

Remnii says: If there’s nothing else to do or say, I believe we should press on. I know a number of my sisters asked if we could find medical supplies. Things are limited, and given what we just saw… I believe some investigation is in order. If that is okay with everyone.
Medivh says: Well. I think most of us have a fairly good layout of the Exodar at this point, so we could split off and see what we could find. Maybe find some evidence of where the rest of the Rangari have gone, possibly, and possibly find these medical supplies?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Likely in pairs at least, yes. In the event there is anyone lingering.

The group agrees to maybe take a moment to rest as well so Remnii can coordinate information back to Azure Watch and also to Elissa. Vel goes over to the ur’zuls and gets more of a sample size of their venom and then starts to look for any clues of other activity or the whereabouts of where the missing members of the Rangari might have been taken along with Medivh, Seria, and Makasa.

The blink foxes also help while they are around, searching for any signs of movement. There are signs of salvage teams, but no more signs of conflict or any enemies. However, from what Seria can tell, there is foot traffic. Some of it had been hidden, but there is also evidence of large creatures like ogres moving through the area in one specific area. Vel and Medivh are unable to find exact evidence of where the other Rangari may have been--the area cleared much in the same way the priestess’s attack site had been. However, as they investigate the area where Seria had been looking, something catches Vel’s attention: the ground is upended and broken, and there are draenic sigils that seem to be a teleportation circle. It’s been broken, though it could be repaired. The glyphic edges seem to connect to the walls, and there are strange tablets in the area that the glyphs seem to connect to. The entire chamber is humming with conjuration magic.

Vel takes a closer look at the glyphs and they seem to have been mostly destroyed in the crash, but there is some sort of tampering that would indicate someone had tried to do something with it. The magic done on it was… off. It appears to be fel in origin. There are small amendments to the teleportation circle. Medivh also takes a look.

Medivh says: This is the demonic tongue… someone has tampered with the teleportation magics here.
Velameestra Windrunner says: I wonder what they were doing…

Vel starts to cast [Identify], and she feels a spike of activity and a mental disruption that strikes her mind. She just got hit with a [Mind Spike], which seems to have been a permanent contingency placed on it. It had been attuned to a specific person--the lingering energies of the teleportation circle had been rerouted to a specific individual.

Medivh says: This appears to be encrypted in some capacity, but I believe the true name of the demon responsible is embedded in this… give me a moment.

He starts to analyze the runes, and Vel is able to note that the runic codes are attached to one of the long, flat, transparent panels in the corner.

Velameestra Windrunner says: You don’t suppose they were using this as some sort of communication device as well, do you?
Medivh says: Communication or transportation. This could explain how our assassin has been able to move as they have been.
Velameestra Windrunner says: I wonder if it can be traced back to them.
Medivh says: It’s possible, though, uh…

He glances around at the magical technology.

Medivh says: I’m unsure how to do so. But if we could, that could be… that’s it! It seems this bypass was created by Sironas, the individual in question, but there’s something else here. I don’t… oh.
Velameestra Windrunner says: What is it?
Medivh says: I think I may have found where our missing Rangari leader went. I think this Sironas and Sarona may be the same person.
Velameestra Windrunner says: ...Ah.
Medivh says: At least, that’s what this true name seems to suggest. I could double check it, but… that would explain…
Velameestra Windrunner says: Especially if they were able to set up everything in the Exodar before the crash and immediately after.
Medivh says: That said, if we can find a way to reverse engineer this, we may be able to use this signature to… well, quite literally get to the heart of this.
Velameestra Windrunner says: They certainly wouldn’t be expecting it.

Medivh glances at the transparent panel.

Medivh says: You wouldn’t happen to know how to interface with devices like this, would you?
Velameestra Windrunner says: I’ve… never had experience with draenei technology. I interfaced with a titan panel in the past, but I doubt they’re all that similar. I’m sure some of the other draenei could.
Medivh says: Do you think they could spare an expert to come and look at this?
Velameestra Windrunner says: That may be more a question for Remnii than me.
Medivh says: Well I suppose we can go ask her!

Vel takes a quick look at the panel, and it does not seem to be powered. The crash had made the power nonfunctioning, and it’s unclear how that could be bypassed.

Medivh and Vel return near the end of the hour while the others were resting.

Medivh says: Good news and bad news! We found something but have no idea how to follow up on it.
Remnii says: What have you found?
Velameestra Windrunner says: There was tampering with the teleportation circle here. Evidence found in the tampering implies Sironas and Sarona are the same person.
Remnii says: That… would make some degree of sense.
Maraad says: They must be one of the Sargerai traitors then.

Remnii nods.

Remnii says: More context for all of you… the Sargerai were a splinter faction when Shattrath fell on Draenor. They left the draenei for the power of the Legion… they sound more like us, and they speak more like us… I’ve assumed we would find some trace of the Sargerai in all of this. But, it does not make it easier to swallow…
Velameestra Windrunner says: Theoretically, we may be able to trace the signal the teleportation circle is now attuned to using some of the devices here, though unfortunately the draenei tech is beyond me. But it may be a more direct route to the core of their command center.
Remnii says: I’m sure Exarch Romuul would be fine with sending someone out… we would just have to figure out some way for them to get here while maintaining the hold we have on the Exodar now.
Medivh says: If you don’t believe you’ll be able to facilitate that, I can get us there and back, but I’ll be largely tapped as far as transportation is concerned.
Remnii says: While I am loosely familiar with the technology of the naaru, I believe leaving that to an artificer would be the smartest idea.
Velameestra Windrunner says: We could always open up a direct passage via one of the trees outside to Timbermaw Hold.
Medivh says: If we can message them, perhaps we can set that up--if such a thing is within your capabilities.

He looks at Tol’vas and Seria.

Medivh says: Otherwise I can pop back and return… but that will require a fair amount of my own strength.

Tol’vas and Seria both express they can cast [Transport via Plants] again, and Remnii opts to send Romuul.

Remnii says [sending]: Exarch Romuul, it’s Remnii, we are at the Exodar. We could use skilled expertise in deciphering a teleportation circle we found here. If you have anyone to spare? It would be appreciated.
Exarch Romuul says [sending]: Krono ki cristorr Remnii, we are bogged down, but I can send someone provided it does not take over long. I will set things up and contact you again soon.

About ten minutes go by, and in the meanwhile Seria plants her staff and morphs it into a magnificent fir tree.

Exarch Romuul says [sending]: Ambassador Remnii, I’ve secured assistance for you. Let me know how she’s getting to you, and I’ll make sure she does.

Remnii relays that the person needs to wait by a specific tree, and they wait long enough for the artificer to get the that tree before Tol’vas casts [Transport via Plants] on the dragonleaf fir tree. A few moments later, a tall figure steps through.

It’s the draenic artificer that Vel had met--the pale lilac, androdgynous draenei with dark purple hair. They are carrying a toolbox and have a sleeveless black turtleneck.

Velameestra Windrunner says: Ah. Luma.
Liiraluma says: Hello. I am Luma. Common only half good so far.

Remnii and Luma converse in quick draenic and Luma looks at the group.

Liiraluma says: We are here to help. Romuul, brother, sent me to help. Show way.

Vel starts to lead the way, but then Luma sighs and turns to the rest of the party.

Liiraluma says: I should be nicer. What are names?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Oh. Sorry. I am Tol’vas.
Uther Menethil says: Uther. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Medivh says: You can call me Medivh.

He bows, and Luma looks down at him.

Liiraluma says: Vel.

She points at Vel, and the others also introduce themselves before Luma heads into the translocation chamber. There is a string of curse words as well as “fuck” as they the mess it’s in. The draenei starts to get to work, and Vel watches the clear expertise the draenei has. At some point they hold up a tool to Vel.

Liiraluma says: You, you are smart. Hold this.

They then looks at Maraad and Uther.

Liiraluma says: You two, Maraad I know you, and mini yellow Maraad, you two, drag that big crystal over here.

Maraad looks at Uther.

Maraad says: I think they're talking about you.

The two paladins heave the crystal over and Luma takes the tool back and starts to work away at rigging the crystal up to the panel. There are some glitches at first, which they quickly work their way through. Tol’vas starts to duck away.

Liiraluma says: Don’t touch anything!

They are able to determine that someone had rerouted an external power supply of extreme power from a vast distance away--which diluted the power and rerouted its functionality to another location. It’s terribly dangerous and not good for any of the devices involved.

Liiraluma says: Assholes!

Only a few things could put out enough energy to do that, and most likely one of the vector coils would be the object to be used--however, the lingering functionalities here could trace the power source and open a very temporary, tenuous gateway.

Liiraluma says: Ready to tell you what I am… I can get you where you want to go, but only one way. And also, heh, horribly dangerous! Fucky technology! Bullshit use of bigger powers. Anyways. Go get the tall one.
Medivh says: Which one is the tall one?

They point off after Tol’vas.

Liiraluma says: Also get Maraad and the yellow one… Uther?
Medivh says: Right!

The group is gathered.

Liiraluma says: Every ship has a power source. The Exodar’s was taken or fell off. They, whoever did this bullshit, is using it to teleport it back and forth. I can get you in, but not out. If you want to do that, I recommend preparations get made, as you will not return here afterwards. The Azure Watch camp should make their way up here.

Remnii nods.

Liiraluma says: If we wish to keep the Exodar secure. But that is not in your… um? Pay grade? But what they did is bad, and should be stopped, as it will cut them off from here. So… what do you want to do here?
Velameestra Windrunner says: When you say dangerous… how do you mean? A splicing situation?
Liiraluma says: Well, it’s akin to using a teleport without a direct locale. So maybe not slicing, but perhaps dicing?
Medivh says: And what does that entail?
Liiraluma says: I need a teleporter.
Velameestra Windrunner says: I can teleport.
Medivh says: As can I. Either of us.
Liiraluma says: The power source, the vector coil, will act as a loose homing beacon to bring you to wherever this is going to take you.
Velameestra Windrunner says: It’s certainly an option. We could perhaps go first thing in the morning, after we’ve recouped?

Aramar furrows his brow.

Aramar Thorne says: The vector coil… isn’t that the place you told the consul this group were working out of in the first place?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Yes, so it seems like this is the key for us to get into the heart of their operations--as opposed to the bait and switch plan we had previously discussed. Which, Aramar, I know you weren’t there. There was talk of using Remnii as bait.
Maraad says: I like this idea more.
Remnii says: I will do whatever this takes.

Luma raises an eyebrow.

Liiraluma says: I won’t tell the Prophet. Whatever you all want to do. This thing has enough power to get us going.

They slap the top of the device.

Maraad says: It will only be a matter of time before they learn what happened here. While we could rest and strike them at full strength, if we wish to get the element of surprise, we want to go as soon as possible.
Medivh says: One other concern… if we’re going to sever this connection with the vector coil, how are we doing that? I suppose we can break it, but would you be upset if we did that?
Liiraluma says: As much as I would wish to keep the power sources up and going, if I go with you… I have one arm. I do not want to be here alone. If I go with you, I can maybe break it in some kind of way that would not be forever broken. But fuck the Legion and fuck the people that did this. If we have to break it, then we break it.
Medivh says: Well, you could come with us. We could ensure you aren’t in any danger until the time comes to do this crystal artifice…
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Can we actually promise that? We don’t know what’s on the other side.
Medivh says: We don’t. But perhaps you could salvage something, or we could break it, which would be easier…

Luma sighs.

Liiraluma says: This was my home. This place was nearly my death at the same time. Whatever it is going to take to put an end to the bullshit that is happening here that will let us rebuild in the first place… I knew what I was getting into, and I will not be deadweight. That you do not have to worry about.

Medivh nods.

Medivh says: Very well. I should be able to get all of us… but what do we think? Do we want to press our advantage now, or wait it out?
Uther Menethil says: I see no reason to waste our advantage.
Remnii says: My mana stores are fine… for those that found time diffusing the bombs… your insight would be most wise. Even if we cannot have the element of surprise every time, we would be better prepared…

She looks at Vel, Seria, Tol’vas, and Medivh.

Velameestra Windrunner says: I… personally am fine with the rest we had here.

Luma looks at Seria.

Liiraluma says: What about you, grumpy?
Seria says: I’m fine.
Liiraluma says: Hi fine. Luma.

Vel chuffs.

Liiraluma says: Well, we are fine, we are good, and I see no reason to not try. I would like to see people give them hell if I cannot give them hell myself.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Give us something to sink our teeth into.

Maraad looks at everyone.

Maraad says: We should be prepared for everything. So any preparations you wish to make, do them now.

Vel ritual casts [Telepathic Bond], catching everyone except Maraad and Makasa.

Medivh says: Alright everyone, be ready for anything. This may be a bit bumpy… but I’ll do what I can to keep it as straightforward as I can.

Medivh starts to connect with the magics of the area, and sparks start to rain off the crystals. Medivh grits his teeth and magic starts to course around them. They all feel pressure on the back of their skulls, and the sparks dance across their flesh as he tries to focus. The magic is almost a bit too much. There is a pulse of magic, and they [Teleport]--hurling through the leylines.

There is a significant amount of magic around them as they find themselves in a blood red grove--forcibly ejected from a crashed piece of draenic technology with a blast of arcane magic. There is a massive, scintillating coil of energy and oscillating panels above them. They quickly realize they are not alone.

To their immediate right are two ogres: one a male with a gray pontrail, and the other a female with a massive greatsword. Beyond them is a human--Malus. At the center of the oscillating panels is a draenei with Rangari armor, her black-violet hair pulled back.

Sironas says: I thought you said they were supposed to be dead?

Malus blinks.

Malus says: They were supposed to be. I suppose this means the Exodar is in one piece, aye?
Uther Menethil says: We keep disappointing people in that way.
Malus says: I do really, really hate to be disappointed.

He holds his hand out, and in a surge of shadowy energy and fel fire, a blade of jet back energy appears in his hand. Sironas types a few things into the vector coil’s panel before grabbing a bow from her back.

Sironas says: What do you say we rectify this error?

She whistles, and two small bushes part as a large ur’zul charges in. There is chittering of ravenspeech from the woods nearby.

Medivh generates a [Wall of Force] around Luma.

Medivh says: Stick close, and be ready to pounce on that thing when we clear you a path!
Remnii says: If you all stay close, I will do my best to heal your wounds.

Ssavra, one of the arakkoa, chirps at her brother.

Ssavra says [ravenspeech]: I’m with you, brother!

She casts [Shield of Faith] as a jet-black shield of pure shadow covers the other arakkoa’s body.

Vel runs for one of the ogres and promptly slices into him with a [Heart Strike], but as she strikes again, the ogre grabs her blade and shoves it aside. Malus shoots at her with a pistol he had pulled from his belt. It seems to be propelled with shadowy energy.

Malus says: The boy is mine. See to it that the others do not interfere.

Ssarbik drops to his knees and exalts in a language no one understands as four vaguely humanoid shapes emerge from the darker shadows of the woods and foliage.

Makasa Flintwill says: Aramar, we take him together!

Makasa runs to back Vel up at the ogre, but she swings and her harpoon jus bounces off the creature’s thick armor and flab.

Throgg says: Is that the best you got, little human?
Makasa Flintwill says: Not by a long shot!

Meanwhile, the shadows start to close on the group and Sironas types something into the panel. The oscillating steel blades go faster and faster as the vector coil powers up. Everything crackles, and magic jolts off in every direction.

Suddenly there is a blast of lightning that spikes from the trees and jolts through Vel, dropping her temporarily down to one knee. A massive fel lord steps from the trees in the distance, carrying a massive weapon that is coursing with electricity. Bright green eyes shine beneath the shadow of his hood.

Medivh steps towards the shadows.

Medivh says: Well hello there, little monsters. I’ll be ready for you later!

He flips his staff around and sends a [Lightning Bolt] careening through Sironas, the fel lord bounty hunter, and the massive ur’zul. The lightning crackles through them, and a shadow claws at Medivh, but he swings his cape--deftly dodging aside.

Medivh says: Nice try!

The bounty hunter shoots at Vel again, but it glances off the ground at her feet. The ur’zul runs into the oscillating vector coil, trying to close on the group.

Sironas looks at Remnii and spins an arrow between her fingers. She attaches a small device to it, and then grins wildly as she fires at Remnii. Remnii narrowly evades it and the arrow collides on the stone behind her, erupting into flame. Her second shot also misses, but her her third attack connects even as Maraad tries to intercept the damage.

Maraad says: Get down!

The arrow pierces her arm, opening a bleeding wound. Remnii braces herself against Maraad and casts a 7th level [Mass Cure Wounds]. She then uses gift of the naaru on Makasa.

Malus waves his hands and shadows start to seep around Vel, Makasa, Aramar, and the two ogres as he casts [Scatter]. Vel is able to resist, but Makasa and the two ogres get shafted back to the rest of the group while Aramar appears right next to Malus.

Malus looks at Vel with dead tired eyes.

Malus says: If you know what’s good for you lass, I would not interfere.

Vel feels a shadowy weight on her and the bounty hunter fires another lightning shot at her, which again goes wide. The female ogre looks down at Uther.

Karrga says: You’re fighting me, little man.

Uther rounds on her with his hammer and then looks at Tol’vas and Seria.

Uther Menethil says: Think you can handle it?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Doesn’t sound like you’re going to leave me a choice.

Tol’vas sighs.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Go be a hero.
Uther Menethil says: Much obliged!

He then runs for Malus and quickens [Hold Person] on the man, forcing the spell through. However, with a flick of his wrist, Malus shatters the bindings.

Malus says: Didn’t I say not to interfere?
Uther Menethil says: You’ll have to forgive me, I’m something of a slow learner!

Malus clicks his tongue and slashes at Uther. There is a surge of shadow magic that seems to pass through Uther’s armor. He then holds up his pistol and shoots at Vel, which goes wide.

Velameestra Windrunner says: If you don’t want me to interfere, why don’t you stop shooting?

She snarls, clearly being snarky. Meanwhile, Medivh shoves a shadow back with Atiesh.

Throgg says: Don’t let them get to the boss!
Karrga says: I’m working on it!

Throgg sweeps his weapon around and then brings it down on Remnii, but it pierces the ground next to her. Tol’vas uses [Wrath of Nature], overgrowing the ground around the ground. A rock is thrown at the back of Karrga’s head, knocking her to her knees. A tree then wallops against Karrga and Malus, branches clawing at their flesh and wrapping roots around Karrga as Malus slashes vines aside.

The fel lord bounty hunter fires at Tol’vas, but the shot goes wide, and Karrga struggles against the roots.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: If you stay down, I won’t kill you.
Karrga says: You think you’re so tough? You’re NOTHING!

She swings at Tol’vas while restrained, but the attacks glance harmlessly off the shield on his arm. Meanwhile, the shadows go for Medivh, and one manages to claw through his defenses.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Seria, I don’t think she’s going to give up.

Seria cracks her neck and transforms into a giant scorpion. With a flurry of attacks and screeching, Seria unloads a full round of claw and stinger attacks--shredding open wounds as the ogre is helpless on the ground.

Maraad brings his hammer down on the nearest shadow, exploding it in a flash of light as he carries the attack over to Throgg.

Medivh moves through the shadows and casts [Arcane Blast], destroying two of the remaining shadows and blasting Throgg--which also yanks the ogre closer.

The vector coil continues to power up and motes of arcane energy start to shoot around, blasting into various people. The fel lord continues to approach Vel and he shoots a canister over her head--landing at Tol’vas’s feet and then surging with a pulse of arcane energy. It enraptures Maraad, who winces and freezes up. He then fires his shock lance at Tol’vas.

Sironas says: Get him!

Sironas whistles and she points at Tol’vas as she attaches another device to her arrow as she fires. It slams into Tol’vas and explodes in a jet black ichor that covers him, restraining his limbs. She fires two more shots, peppering him with arrows.

Makasa Flintwill says: We need to do something about her!
Remnii says: Once we can get there, I intend to.

Makasa swings her harpoon at Throgg, stabbing him with two deft strikes.

Makasa Flintwill says: I’ll handle this one!

Lightning crackles around Vel and she bursts a surge of mana to expel the crackling effect before she casts [Steel Wind Strike], dropping Karrga and slashing into both the ur’zul and fel lord before she appears next to the ur’zul--straight in the midst of the dynamo.

The fel lord shoots a bola at Vel, but she slices it in half.

Fel Lord Bounty Hunter says [eredun]: Tch. Wasn’t my job anyway.

Remnii uses her channel divinity to heal up Tol’vas and partially herself.

Remnii says: We need to start moving towards Sironas!

The bounty hunter sees Remnii start to edge forward and he runs toward her, firing off another electric shock.

Fel Lord Bounty Hunter says: You have a pretty price on your head though..

Uther runs for the fel lord--Imonar the Soulhunter--and swings his hammer into him. The hammer crackles with holy light and knocks him back.

Imonar the Soulhunter says [eredun]: Paladins…

He snarls, his attention now on Uther. He grabs Uther’s hammer, but the human checks his arm and smashes the hammer into his chest with another brilliant flash. Uther swings a third time, quickening [Green-Flame Blade] as he smites the demon again. Sironas continues to rain alchemical arrows, leaving Maraad momentarily stunned.

Uther Menethil says: I don’t suppose I have a price on my head, do I?
Imonar the Soulhunter says: No… no you may be just for sport.

Meanwhile, Vel is sparring with the massive ur’zul, and it bites at her, but with a clang she parries the slobbering bite aside.

The last shadow slashes at Medivh, tearing aside more of his strength.

Medivh says: Is that the best you got?

He cracks it with his staff, and it bursts into shadow.

Medivh says: And stay down!

Throgg turns and starts to sprint at Vel, but Makasa stabs him in the back of the leg with her harpoon.

Makasa Flintwill says: You aren’t going anywhere until you’re done with me!

Throgg growls and hurls a javelin at Makasa, but it misses.

Ssarbik notes Vel and creeps forward, then casts [Mental Prison]. Vel’s deepest fears start to creep into her mind, but her eyes flash, and she counters the spell. Ssarbik balks and backs away. Ssvara dives into the dynamo and tries to infect Vel’s mind with madness, but she steels her mind against it and it fails to take hold.

Malus says: You shouldn’t be fighting me, boy. We should work together. Your father… you hate him don’t you?

Malus strikes at Aramar with a few slashes.

Aramar Thorne says: You leave my father out of this!

Aramar slashes into him in return and they continue to dance around each other. However, Malus’s eyes flicker toward the rest of the group and he starts to cast [Mind Sear]. Medivh, however, looks over and promptly counters it.

Medivh says: Not so fast!

Medivh is panting.

Medivh says: Nothing… to it!

Seria closes on Imonar and attacks him, grappling him in her claws.

The vector coil is now growing incredibly brightly and Vel is thrown from the center of the dynamo and sent sprawling across the ground.

Liiraluma says: If a priestess is outrunning you, Vindicator, you’re doing it wrong!

She shouts at Maraad, who manages to shrug off his stunned state.

Malus closes on Vel.

Malus says: It’s nothing personal. You just killed my crew.

He stabs his blade into her, but Uther uses [Righteous Defense] to take the blows.

Malus says: ...What a trifle.
Medivh says: Alright! This is about the most I can do! How attached are you to this Luma?
Liiraluma says: It would be great if you did not blow it to smithereens!
Medivh says: Alright. Last resort then!

Medivh casts a [Fire Bolt] at Ssarbik, which scorches his feathers and the arakkoa squawks loudly. Tol’vas casts [Wraith of Nature] again, and Malus manages to counter it. However, he has to use a great deal of energy to do so. Tol’vas growls and opts to gather the remnants of magic and cast [Rejuvenation] on Remnii instead. He then plants his bear totem.

A [Shadow Bolt] comes careening at Vel from Ssarbik, and it strikes into her.

Malus strikes down at Vel again, but she is able to deflect him from the ground, and he shoots at Uther but the attack goes wide. Imonar struggles against Seria, but is unable to break free.

The ur’zul runs through the oscillating blades and unleashes a flurry of attacks on Vel. She drops to the ground beneath the barrage, her body ravaged by the creature's fangs, and Imonar tries to hurl his grenade on the ground, but Seria strikes his hand with her stinger.

Sironas shoots at Remnii and she goes sprawling to the ground. She then fires twice at Tol’vas, sending him sprawling down as well. Aramar runs at Malus and grabs him by the ponytail and yanks him backwards.

Aramar Thorne says: Your fight is with me, asshole!

He strikes into Malus with a critical hit and drives him into the ground and drags him away. Aramar strikes again and again, unloading a series of attacks. Malus tries to protect himself from the assault, but Aramar is bringing his sword down over and over again. He then heals Remnii. Seria continues to wrestle with Imonar.

In a fury, Uther unleashes a series of attacks that completely obliterates the ur’zul, and it bursts into golden sparkles. All that remains is an old draenic doll that falls onto Vel’s still chest. He then swings into Imonar with another flash of holy radiance.

The bounty hunter remains standing.

Uther Menethil says: You’re a stubborn one. I’ll give you that.

He swings again, and the demon splits in a column of light.

Imonar the Soulhunter says: You… I’ll make sure there’s one on you when I come back…

He flicks a switch, and his shock lance beeps. Ssavra moves forward and gets in a defensive position. She reaches out and tries to inflict Uther with madness, but it fails.

Remnii conjures a 5th level [Death Coil] which she hurls at Vel, whose eyes open, and she sees a children’s toy on her chest.

Throgg rounds on Makasa and swings into her.

Imonar’s weapon continues to beep, and Seria jumps on it--completely nerfing the explosion as it washes over her carapace. Sironas shoots at Remnii, her aim getting shaky.

The vector coil swirls, sparking and exploding in radiant energy which blasts Vel on her back again as her consciousness wavers once more. Uther runs over and pumps his lay on hands into Remnii before charging for Ssavra. He quickens a [Thunder Step], exploding the spell on Ssvara so he can close on Sironas.

Sironas says: What!?
Uther Menethil says: I’ve had about enough of you.

Throgg backs away from Makasa and shoves Tol’vas out of the way. He grabs Karrga’s body and starts to run towards the dynamo. However, Tol’vas strikes at him with his staff--leaving the ogre barely alive. Medivh launches a fire bolt at Throgg, which sends him spilling to the ground. Aramar continues to swing at Malus over and over again, who is still trapped under him.

Ssarbik casts [Blink] and appears next to Ssavra.

Malus looks up at Aramar.

Malus says: This has been… fun. But we’ve seen enough of this.

Maraad goes over to Remnii and also pumps his lay on hands into her.

Remnii says: Thank you, Maraad.

He then casts gift of the naaru on Tol’vas.

Malus suddenly teleports out from beneath Aramar and reappears next to the two arakkoa and unconscious ogres.

Sironas says: Malus! We need to finish them!
Malus says: You need to finish them. A captain goes down with his ship.
Sironas says: What!?

Malus then casts [Plane Shift] on himself and the rest of his crew, and they disappear. Tol’vas casts [Banishment] on Sironas. He tries to push it, but she resists.

Sironas says: I’m not finished yet!

Tol’vas drops back, extremely winded. Remnii casts another 5th-level [Death Coil] on Vel, bringing her back to consciousness.

Remnii says: We need to finish this… We’re not done yet Vel! Hang in there!

Remnii runs through the oscillating blades, as does Seria, who closes on Sironas. The panels swirl and pulse, throwing Remnii straight back to Maraad.

Vel gets shakily her feet, her armor and body covered in her own blood, and uses [Blink] to close on Sironas.

Velameestra Windrunner says: You’re done here.

She strikes with her sword, her eyes burning a bright magenta, and Remnii gets to her hooves as well and casts [Exorcism] on Sironas. Tol’vas casts [Call Lightning] and it rains down on Sironas.

Sironas says: It’s over, but I’m not leaving without one of you with me!

She fires at Vel in melee, but Vel deflects it with [Shield]. She grabs Vel’s arm and tries to jab her in the gut with an arrow, but it gets redirected to Uther who used [Righteous Defense].

Velameestra Windrunner says: My companions... are far better than yours.
Uther Menethil says: You have been abandoned. Yield or be destroyed.

Sironas starts to cackle.

Sironas says: You think failure is an option for Lord Tichondrius?

She drops to her knees.

Sironas says: Whatever you do to me would pale in comparison. So go on then. Finish it! The damage has already been done! The kaldorei will fall, and their precious world tree with it!

With a strike of Uther’s hammer, Sironas is knocked on her back, just in time for Vel and Seria to drive their blade and stinger into her chest. The fel green light leaves the woman’s eyes.

Sironas says: Where are… the reinforcements?

The vector coil flashes one more time, and Uther, Vel, and Remnii are tossed out of the dynamo and sent sprawling across the ground. At that moment, Liiraluma dives in, Medivh having dropped the wall of force and immediately works on defusing the system. There is a beeping, harmonious sound, and the vector coil shuts down.

As the adrenaline of the battle fades, it seems the area is secure.

There are also sounds of battle nearby--and there is a pathway. In the distance, there is unmistakable sheen of armor, and they see draenei starting to approach. A satyr comes running out of a tree, and it hits the ground--three arrows in its back.

Exarch Naielle exits from the trees after it, and she nods in their direction.

Makasa runs over to Aramar.

Makasa Flintwill says: Are you alright?
Aramar Thorne says: I’m fine. How about you?
Makasa Flintwill says: I’d be better if that snake did not escape.

Aramar grins.

Aramar Thorne says: Not all of him escaped.

He holds out his hand, and there is a compass dangling from it--the point the same color as the diamond blade.
