[Alliance] Session Twelve

The scene opens right after Tess told the group that the two merchants were members of the Syndicate. However, curiously enough, they didn’t say anything about Rai.

When they checked on him, he was actually disguised as a young human man with red hair. Apparently he had been trying a new trick, though he was having difficulty getting a human accent down.

Velameestra tries to pull the focus back on the subject of the Syndicate after a few snide questions about whether or not she’s impressed, and they return to the focus of the Syndicate and Ashwynn agrees they should probably get to the bottom of the situation - quickly.

Ashwynn, Uther, and Vel go to speak with the mayor after it is decided to enter Hillsbrad separately.

Rai goes with Tess and Gil to investigate the tavern.

Elissa and Zap go to look elsewhere.

First stop, Elissa and Zap go to check on the cemetery real quick to make sure no graves were disturbed, and fortunately everything seemed to be fine. However, there were no guards here like there were in the elflands - just an old hump-backed gravekeeper planting flowers.

They then stroll into the town and see a couple guards. Two of them have bandanas tied around their wrists while the other does not. Zap flags them down, and asks if there is any trouble they should be aware of as he is traveling on the road.

One of the guards says there has been troll troubles and the guard has been heightened. In addition, word was received from Alterac that they were starting to mobilize and, as a result, they needed money - which meant more taxes for the war fund.

Zap: “Ahhh. If it was one things me pappy said to look out for it’s tariffs and sheriffs.”

Zap thanked them for the heads up, then asked about the bandanas that two of them were wearing. However, he asked if there was a festival going on. As one of the guards looks at Zap, there’s a flash of “this guy knows too much” and then he said they were good-luck charms.

The guard without the bandana said his daughter hadn’t heard of that yet, and he should get one for his daughter.

Zap said he should get a daughter so that he could get one, and Elissa offered to get him one even though she wasn’t his daughter. Zap expressed that she was the best daughter he could ask for.

As soon as the trio were out of earshot, Zap filled Elissa in. on what he realized. Elissa had no idea the one man was lying.

They decide to get some bandanas themselves anyway - just a different color - but they wouldn’t tell the others what it meant.

Unless they asked.

At which point, they’d invite anyone in the party who asked to join the “gang”.

They then go to the forge and see a burly man, who greets them. He does not have a bandana. He expressed he doesn’t see dwarves often in Hillsbrad.

Zap: “Well if you’re not seeing dwarves enough, perhaps you should look a couple feet downwards.”

The man likes him already.

Zap asks for some information about the goings on in the town. The man said that it was about time for a lunch break and he asked the pair of them to lock the door and join him.

Zap gleefully said to set a table for four then, at which point Colonel Nutters pops up and startles the man temporarily.

The man looks around and then lowers his voice after the door is locked. He asks who they are, and Zap introduces himself and Elissa introduces herself as well. Zap explains they are affiliated with a “certain prince of a certain human kingdom” and they were passing through.

The man was really relieved and said he wasn’t sure word had gotten to Alterac. He had started to think that the tariffs were really unfair concerning a “war fund” and he thinks it’s going to put his business under. However, despite it, there weren’t any added security.

The increase was an additional 40%.

Zap asks if the people collecting the taxes wore bandanas, and the man wasn’t sure. It was typically the guards, the tax collector, or the mayor himself.

There was not anything else particularly strange though outside of some folk getting sick. When they were, they were escorted to Alterac to get better “medical care” though no one was sure what was up with the illness.

Zap isn’t sure the illness is a plague or a disease.

Zap: “My grandpappy used to say that there are three types of deeds: good deeds, bad deeds, and land deeds. And this isn’t the first or the last one.”

He then asked if there was anyone else that may know anything, and the man offered that likely the tax collector and the barkeep. However, only a fool would trust a tax collector (Zap laughs). He suggests Zap head over to the Sleeping Lady (a nicer tavern) or the Heroic Watchman (a seedier one).

Amusing how it worked out like that.

Zap thanked the man, and Elissa expresses that the man should be careful, and he also thanked them for looking into it.

Zap also offered 10 gp to the man to help him with taxes as a “fee for sharpening our weapons.”

Man: “UhhhHHHH! By the bloody Light, how did you get this much money? It’s more than I make in a month!”

Zap said he just sells some questionable powders, and the man wasn’t about to ask questions. He thanked Zap again, and Zap asked for his name. It was Bradley Hampton. Zap told him to come find them at one of the taverns if anything else would come up.

As they were going to leave, Bradley stopped him as he DID actually have some lunch and he’s been feeling under the weather so didn’t have as much of an appetite as he normally did. He pulled out some apple tarts.

Zap devoured one of them.

The blacksmith also said if there was anything he could do concerning their weapons or anything, he’d be happy to do it.

As they head out, Zap asks what tavern Elissa thinks they should go to. She suggests that seedier people would likely go to the seedier inn.

Zap purposely picks the non-seedy one as a result.

At the Sleeping Lady there seems to be a small crowd of law-abiding citizens. The barkeep is a rather attractive human man. There is some arm wrestling and some people are a bit tipsy, but nothing crazy is going on.

---

Meanwhile, Gil, Tess, and Rai are heading toward a tavern. They, however, choose the seedier one: the Heroic Watchman.

The sign has a beautifully painted watchtower, but the bar itself is clean, but incredibly run-down. It’s a small, one-room building. As soon as they approach there is a drunk person stumbling out, and the delicious scent of fresh meat is wafting through the air.

Gil: “Tess, you like meat, don’t you?”

Tess: “....I mean who doesn’t?”

Gil: “Well, I guess, rabbits?”

As they enter they are keeping a watchful look on the crowd. Tess notices almost all of the patrons in the tavern are armed. There is also a hunting hound tied outside that barks at them. Rai flinches as it barks.

In addition, Tess notices a few people with bandanas. Just a few. They are pretty spread out, but they are keeping an eye on things. One fellow is talking to two other people with bandanas, and both of them seem to be off-duty guards. Every once in awhile they are speaking with Thieves’ Cant. She sees some numbers, but she can’t pinpoint them.

Tess tries to sneak closer, and the one man not dressed as a guard glances at her, looks away, and then glances again. He nods to his two buddies and they get up and walk out.

As Gil looks around, he notices the bartender. She’s a girl. She doesn’t seem to have noticed the pair of them come in, and she walks over to three armored women and sets large tankards in front of them. Of all of the people here, the three armored women seem to be the most heavily armed of the patrons in the tavern.

There are a few pockets of off-duty guards - one in the corner and then the group that left. There are two young farmers talking to the sole tavern wench (who is horribly overworked). It seems that the tavern wench and the bartender are likely related, and both are working like crazy. However, there are a lot of eyes on Gil seeing elves don’t come down this far south too often.

Gil sends Rai off to grab an empty table, and Gil goes to talk to the bartender. Gil orders a dwarven ale. Specifically three glasses. She freezes and mutters about how she thinks she has enough for that. Gil says it isn’t a problem if not, but she managed to get three steins.

One of the armored women comments on Gil’s good choice, and Gil points out they seem to be a bit heavily armed to be just travelers. He asked where they were heading, and she asked who was asking.

Gil introduced himself, and she introduced herself as Vittoria. She was heading from Stromgard, and commented she was surprised the accent didn’t give it away. Gil admitted he hadn’t been this far south before.

Gil says he and a few friends were heading to the Hinterlands, and she said that they should bring some thick coats and thicker steel as there trolls spotted in the area. Apparently she was hoping they’d run into a few on the way there.

Gil asked if she enjoyed fighting, and she admitted there was a certain “elegance” to it. Specifically, however, Stromgarde isn’t a big fan of the trolls.

She ended up admitting an old friend was having a celebration in Lordaeron and she was heading in that direction. Gil asked if it was anyone famous, and she said that one could say that. She admitted it was Prince Uther Menethil, and Gil spits out his drinks

Gil asked if she was looking for him, and she said not exactly as from what she understood he was up in the north.

Gil: “...He may be closer than you think.”

Vittoria is a bit suspicious.

Gil writes down “Uther is here” to a piece of paper and passes it to her.

Vittoria looks at her with a “weird elf being weird” look, and then squints at the paper and looks at Gil. “You’re fucking kidding me.”

Gil: “Who do you think I’m traveling with?”

She smiles. “You’re fucking kidding me.”

Gil: “Not even a little.”

Vittoria asks what he was doing this far out of his way, and Gil says they had a lot going on. Gil offers to explain to her elsewhere.

Vittoria agrees and whispers her full name: Vittoria Trollbane, heir of Stromgarde. She downs the rest of her drink, and then looks at her guards and says they should go talk to “twinkle-toes” referring to Gil.

Gil leaves with the women, and Rai tries to get his attention. Gil signals for him to hold the table. Rai is very nervous.

---

Meanwhile, Vel, Uther, and Ashwynn head to the town square. As they go over, there are a few people walking around. A man in a pomp-and-circumstance outfit. Likely the mayor seeing he’s flanked by two guards, and there is a man with a monocle and a giant book - clearly the tax collector likely.

The mayor and tax collector are speaking to each other. “Certainly with our most recent contribution to Alterac they should be to handle ALL of these problems! Bandits and troll incursions!”

Tax Collector: “Yes, Mayor, but truthfully 40% tarriff on outgoing goods is a bit… much. You understand we have only a single blacksmith. Mr. Hamptom does have a family to take care of. There are limits. A 40% increase over a few weeks is a bit much, don’t you think, mayor?”

The mayor expresses desperate times call for desperate measures.

He mispronounces the tax collector’s name (which is corrected to Constantinus Melton),, but then greets the trio and introduces himself as Mayor Magnus Malcovich.

Uther asks if they were interrupting him, and he said no, he was just going over some ledgers with the tax collector (whose name was mispronounced again). Uther asks for a word in private, and the mayor agreed.

Constantinus: “Uhum, sir, we still have ledgers…”

The mayor said the ledgers would still be there, and Uther reassured him they would only be a moment. The mayor asks if they want to stroll or meet in his office, and Uther said that a stroll would be fine.

Uther feeds some innocent information out loud, but then quietly asks if the mayor knew of the Syndicate activity. The mayor was not aware and seemed surprised.Uther continues to feed him some information about the group they had seen while Vel and Ashwynn trail behind. Vel is keeping an eye out.

Uther said he simply wanted to bring the matter to his attention, and expressed that, as a knight of the Silver Hand, he was willing to offer some aide. However, he was not going to keep him overly long.

The mayor mentions a missive about the road, and expresses that, seeing they were on the road, it may be relevant. It was an alert that looks completely official from Alterac.

Caution: In the chaos of recent events there have been reports of mercenaries and brigands of mercenaries and brigands taking on the appearance of false knights in an attempt to leverage positions and make profit of this war. If any suspicious activity is reported, please alert Alterac authorities as soon as possible.

Uther gets a disgusted look on his face. The mayor seemed to agree with the sentiment.

There was a click, and something clinked against Uther. He turns around, and there’s an arrow that shattered itself on his armor.

Mayor: “Yes, I had hoped that would not be the case, but now here we are, a man prancing around pretending to be princes. GUARDS!”

As Ashwynn and Vel look, Vel catches a glimpse of a bandana on the mayor’s wrist.

There are militia bells ringing, and several guards approach.

Velameestra makes a comment about not being so free with their information, and Uther said he couldn’t be blamed for not expecting the mayor of the town to be in on it, because then there was no point in keeping up the pretense of being a town. He draws his sword.

---

Zap took some silver off a tavern table where some people had been gambling as they rush out to see what’s going on.

---

Tess is almost hit with an arrow as a bunch of guards charge their group and shouts that they are with the imposters.

Vittoria draws her greatsword and shield (and wields it with one hand) after Gil identifies the guards as Syndicate.

The mayor rushes at Uther and misses a few times, but he drives a dagger deep into a gap in his armor. At that point, Uther sees the bandana as well.

As soon as Zap sees it, he holds out a glove and his dagger goes sailing into the glove.

There is a bad attempt by Zap to intimidate the mayor. Uther laughs.

Vel gets shot by an arrow, but the second one goes wide.

Tess attacks one of the thugs, and then the archer that shot Vel looks and whistles at his dog. It rushes at Tess and bits onto Tess’s arm.

Another Syndicate member attacks Rai and it narrow cuts him as he ducks out of the way while shouting “I”M TOO YOUNG TO DIE.”

Another guard attacks Uther, but it misses.

Another member misses Tess as well.

Ashwynn notices that the two guards in front of her and Vel do not have wristbands, and she opts to not attack them. She instead runs to back up Uther.

The dog once again charges Tess.

Another arrow sails at Gil and misses and sticks in a tree. “Huh, free arrow,” Gil comments and removes the arrow and knocks it. He fires it into another archer.

Vel, seeing herself surrounded by non-Syndicate guards, disappears in a flash. She rematerializes on the nearby roof and hurls two orbs of frosty energy at the archer that shot her and the mayor that attacked Uther. Ice spreads across their limbs immediately. As this happens, the rooftop is crusted over in ice, however she has no problems balancing on it.

Several more attacks are made by guards and Syndicate members, but they miss.

Vittoria brings the huge greatsword down on a guard, and comments that they picked a fight with the wrong people.

Another mastiff charges at Gil, but misses and bites some shrubbery. He yelps and runs away.An archer fires at Uther, but the arrow is deflected by a shield of light.

One of the guards tries to attack Rai, and Rai cries out that they aren’t imposters. One of them seems to believe him and tells his buddy to stand down, but that one tells him to shove off.

Elissa conjures a shield of faith around Uther (+7 TO AC AT THIS POINT).

Uther: “People of Hillsbrad, the Syndicate has infected your town. Look to their wrists to see who they are. I am the Prince of Lordaeron, I am not an imposter. If you do not raise your weapons against me, I will not do so against you, but if you do I will not hold it against you… but you will not have my mercy.”

Mayor: “DON’T LISTEN TO HIM. That’s exactly what an IMPOSTER would say!”

The guards kind of look around, but they don’t know what to do.

However, Uther swings in with his sword at the mayor, but it goes wide.

Mayor: “Ha! Missed! If you were really a true prince you would have probably hit me!”

Uther comments that if he was actually a mayor, he probably would not be able to use underhanded tactics and he would have hit.

With that logic, all the guards turned to Uther’s side. After all, the mayor was incompetent before.

Zap smiles and waves the mayor’s sword at him. The mayor disengaged from Uther with a backflip, and shoots at Zap with a crossbow.

The shot goes right at Zap’s hand and grazes across his fingers, and Zap dropped the short sword. He looks as if he’s going to make a run at it.

Gil fires at one of the guards, but it sticks in a building behind him.

A mastiff continues to attack Tess, but it keeps missing.

Another guard charges at Uther, but glances off his magical barrier.

Ashwynn cuts down one of the Syndicate.

Elissa attacks a Syndicate guard and is able to nick him a little bit.

Meanwhile, Rai clammers away and ducks out of the way of an opportune attack. He rushes to Tess and his hand starts to glow as he casts cure wounds on Tess. There is a green aura, and she feels a rejuvenating sensation that almost smells of pine needles.

Tess leaps over and runs her rapier through the nearby archer, and the two mastiffs that were attacking her glance at each other - their master gone - and flee.

The archer Vel had attacked fires two arrows at her and one buries itself into her leg while the other grazes her cheek. She gets knocked prone in the process, but strangely enough does not slide on the ice that covered the rooftop.

Zap, meanwhile, readies an action and hovers his hand over a weapon at his hip.

Vittoria manages to intimidate another guard into dropping his spear. As he does, she bashes him in the face with her pommel.

However, Vel drops to one knee as blood drops from her face. Her vision blurs, and she can hear her own heartbeat as she drops unconscious. However, the ice seems to cling to her, and she doesn’t slide off the roof.

Elissa and Zap cry out, and Elissa exclaims to Zap that he needs to save Vel.

Uther, meanwhile, uses desperate prayer and Vel feels a rush of holy energy surge through her as she starts to regain consciousness. He charges past the enemies engaged with him and Ashwynn and charges the mayor. He swings in and his blade hums with holy energy as he strikes at him.

Zap, meanwhile, runs to get to Vel. He loads up his grappling hook and fires. He manages to stabilize himself on the ice, turns the dial on his glove from a frowny face to a happy face and zaps her with his defibrillator. She is now very much awake and, surprisingly, feeling a bit better.

Gil goes after the archer that shot his sister and ANNIHILATES him with an arrow to the chest.

Uther is still going after the mayor and misses. He dashes over to his shortsword and picks it up, then whirls around and attacks Elissa. However, as he goes to swing, she whirls around and hits him in the nose with her shield.

Vel, meanwhile, had already started to materialize several arcane missiles. However, her original target now down, she hurls them at the mayor. Elissa follows up, and the sunflower on her shield begins to glow. Spectral vines leap off her shield and wrap themselves around the mayor, and he is thoroughly held in place.

Mayor: “WHAT THE DEVIL IS THIS??”

Ashwyn swirls around and hits one of the remaining syndicate guards, and calls out to her allies to reinvigorate them.

Tess runs forward but misses the dog she strikes at. Rai, however, darted over and hid behind a building.

Gil shifted over a bit to take aim.

Vittoria: “You said your name was Gil, right? Well, whatcha say we get this done and over with, aye?”

Gil nods and fires at the mayor. It sinks right into the mayor’s chest. Mayor: “Arright! I’m done. I”m DONE. I fucking surrender!”

Seeing the ringleader surrendered, the others did as well.

Zap: “I definitely won’t be voting for him next election…”

Uther calls for the guards to put all the Syndicate members in the cells, and the guards mentioned they weren’t sure if they would fit.

Vittoria commented her girls would help. And at that moment, Uther realized she was here.

They greet each other, and Vittoria asks why he wasn’t at his celebration. He briefly explains there was a situation.

They talk about what to do with the mayor. Vittoria is personally for just taking off his head, but others want to question him. Uther isn’t too worried about getting information out of him, but afterwards he was more than willing to hand him over seeing they attacked royalty. A declaration of war, perhaps?

The mayor babble about the real mayor being alright. Zap called out from the roof about the 40% tax.

Uther said that it was actually, likely, Alterac’s decision.

The mayor gets wide-eyed because they might as well take his head now.

The mayor quickly confessed the mayor was in the manor, and the money was there too. He just wanted to be let go and didn’t want more trouble.

Gil and Vel make comments about what could be on that arrow Gil shot in him.

Zap brings up the sick people that were being escorted out of town. The “mayor” admitted they were also all in the manor and he tried to make a threat about the hostages already being taken care of.

Uther is not concerned as he starts to talk about the reputation of Daval Prestor. The man seemed to have grown some guts as he said he was already a dead man walking.

Uther offered to give him the night to think it over.

However, he threatened the hostages were probably already dead if word got out.

Gil walks over and rips the arrow out of his chest. There is a sudden loud roar/screech, and over the manor that the man was referring to, there was a black shadow. Strafing over the hill is a large winged creature. It reels back, it’s black scales shimmering, and a stream of fire washes over the manor.

A black drake.

It screams again, and the fire washes over the manor.

Gil looks at Vel. She confirmed it wasn’t supposed to be there.

Vittoria is grinning.

They immediately get their horses and set off. Vel goes to rip the arrow out of her thigh, but Gil and Rai immediately stops her.

They ride hard. It isn’t too far to the east. The black drake screams again as it incinerates the shrubbery nearby.

And then there are more screams, like the black drake, but they are smaller. Peeling out from the flaming woods are three black dragon whelps. They scree a challenge at the group.

One of the whelps flit toward them, and breathes a small swath of fire at Elissa, Vel, Tess, and Vittoria. They try to duck out of the way, and Tess succeeds, but the others don’t. The corner of Tess’s sleeve catches, but she puts it out.

Vel, Vittoria, and Elissa are spilled off their horses in the inferno.

Gil fires an arrow at the whelp, but it spins over it.

Likewise, Tess fires her gun at it and it drops out of the sky a bit.

Vel steps to the side and shouts to not use fire - having done studies on the five dragon flights - before hurling an icy sphere at the whelp.

Rai blesses Vel, Tess, and Uther as he quietly says something - either an incantation or a frantic prayer for his mother.

Another whelp goes to flank Vel and snaps at her, but she manages to duck out of the way.

Ashwynn charges the original whelp and whirls around with her spear and sword. It begins to drip blood and she pins it to the ground by hurling her spear through it’s wing.

Noticing Vel was getting attacked, Uther charges for that whelp and leans out of the way so Zap can take a shot. Uther’s blade scrapes over it’s scales, which provides an opening for Zap to hit it square in the chest. It gets hurled into the forest.

Uther: “Good shot, Zap! That is much louder from this close!”

Zap: “Any good king deserves the best artillery!”

The third whelp swoops around and tries to fire a blast of fire at Ashwynn and Vittoria. Vittoria ducks behind her shield, but drops down to one knee as the flames overwhelm her. Ashwynn, however, is still up.

Elissa, however, ran forward and used lay on hands on her. Vittoria thanks her, and Elissa says no problem just as the first whelp chomps at her and she starts and bashes it away with her shield.

Vittoria braces against Elissa and looks at Ashwynn. “I see ya haven’t lost your touch, Ash. And I see you haven’t let Uther lose either. We have a lot to catch up on, lets get this finished quickly without getting incinerated, aye?”

Gil fired over the shield-wall that Vittoria and Elissa had formed, and the arrow pierces into the pinned whelp. Ashwynn tries to stab the same one, but misses.

Vel finishes it off with a flurry of arcane missiles and then hurls her final glimmering sphere at the one heading towards Gil.

Uther dives into the forest after the whelp. It’s a bit warm, but Zap seems to be alright. Uther misses as he swings his sword into a tree, but Zap once again has an opening. He readies an action, and it starts to try and swoop around them to breathe fire. It gets blasted with a sticky wad of glue.

All the fire does is melt the glue, and it looks very confused, though it’s mouth is free.

Rai, meanwhile, reaches out a hand and touches Vel’s shoulder as his uses cure wounds, but then immediately retracts his hand and apologizes. Vel gives him a very strange look.

Vittoria charges and hits the whelp heading towards Gil, and Elissa heals Ashwynn.

Gil hurls around with Stalwart and his own sword and slices at the whelp.

Rai cowers behind the group.

Tess fires her pistol at another whelp, and it hits.

Vel fires a chromatic orb over the cowering Rai’s head, and it blasts into the whelp near Gil. She notices the drake flying overhead as it’s head shifts as it seems to have finally noticed them. She calls out a warning.

Uther cuts into the whelp and some of its blood spatters across the trees.

The warrior women all gang up on the whelp near Gil. It isn’t looking too hot. It disengaged and tried to take off towards the flying drake. However, the other whelp does not hear the cries of its sibling, but it also tries to flee.

Uther cracks it with his sword as it does, and it quickly bites Tess as it goes by and dripping, burning saliva drips onto her skin. Vel immediately hurls an icey orb a creature and it promptly frosts over and drops to the ground. It breaks a bit.

Gil nocks an arrow and clips the last fleeing whelp’s wing. It gets shot out of the sky and falls into the forest, dead.

Just in time for the drake to scream in rage and drop down in front of them. Vel picks up the draconic language of “NO” and “HOW DARE YOU” as it lands and it’s mouth opens

Ashwynn shouts to get down, but just then, something hurls in the direction of the drake. Zap was able to identify it as a mortar.

“WOOHOO! Ya see that one?! THAT WAS FUCKING BRILLIANT!”

The drake slams into a tree as several other mortars hurl toward it. It incinerates them in the air, but hurls itself back into the sky and takes off toward the south.

The group takes off to see where the mortars came from. There are two dwarves. Both are balding, one has white hair and the other one has bright orange. They are dancing in circles around the mortar.

They notice the group arriving and greets them, still ecstatic about the shots.

Zap compliments them on the mortar, and the smaller dwarf gleefully shouts out a number.

There are a bunch of knights and townsfolk around the house. There is a priestess healing some burn wounds, and the mayor is there. He is staring at the building in terror, as if waiting for something.

There is another knight of the Silver Hand, and she is prodding another dragon whelp with her rapier. She reassures the mayor his daughter will be fine. She greets Uther upon seeing them. Her armor is a bit lighter than typical, and she is a member of a “special operations” branch called the Justicars.

Uther gives her the Silver Hand salute, and greets her in return. “Justicar, you have me at a disadvantage.”

Julia: “Julia Celeste. You needn’t worry about the situation any longer, we have it under control.”

Zap says, however, that Uther’s personal fire brigade has it. He approaches the front door, but just then a figure breaks through the front door holding what appears to be a small child.

“Here we are! Don’t worry sir! She’ll be just fine!” He hands her off to the mayor, and then sees Uther.

“Well, well, well! Of all people I imagined to see my successful rescue of this young damsel in distress! My dear cousin! You’re quite far from Lordaeron.”

Uther greets him in return.

Victor explains that no one else was inside, but apologizes for taking all of the glory.

Vittoria offers that Victor may not have taken all of the glory as he missed the whelps and the Syndicate.

Victor asks for introductions from the “lovely ladies” and Uther’s group. They are given. Zap introduces himself while being blown back by his geyser He is supported by the two other dwaves.

Victor goes around to kiss the ladies’ hands, but Vel doesn’t allow it.

Victor mentions that there were five whelps, and the Syndicate had them as eggs. There were only four dead currently.

Julia insists they should press the advantage, but Victor wanted to know why Uther was this far from Lordaeron. Uther gave him a vague response, and Victor said the success of his mission relied on Uther being there. He was in.

As was Vittoria after Vel mentioned they were hunting trolls.

Julia, however, was parting ways, as she was going to investigate the worgen problem after hunting down the dragon.

Uther, however, pulled her aside to update her on the status of the trolls.Julia expressed that Turalyon is prepared for the return of his son. She also expressed if her own mission didn’t take her elsewhere, she would have accompanied them. Uther reassured her that they all have their orders, and she agreed, though she said it was an honor to meet him as his father was a bit of a legend.

Uther said that it was quite a large shadow to come out from under, but she expressed they carry a quite incandescent torch.

Gil pulls Tess aside and asks her if she wants Julia to know what they know. Tess doesn’t really want that. Gil pointed out that they may be able to contain them better, but they also didn’t know that they were still people.

Tess relented that it may be best to show them that they were still people. She’s really nervous. Gil reassures her.

Gil calls Vel over and asks her if she can make a copy of Krennan’s notes. She said she could likely do a brief summary in an evening seeing they would likely.need a rest. However, she asks Gil if he could get the arrow out of her thigh.

Rai offers to help, and Gil puts her in Rai’s hands while he went to go talk to Uther. However, he caught sight of the Holy Light symbol on her thigh. He smirks as he sets off.

However, at the moment, there are decisions to be made and conversations to have.
