Hazirawn
Hazirawn was a sapient, magical greatsword of Netherese creation, which seemingly used techniques of the Raven Queen in its manufacture. The soul of a Netherese general by the same name had been imprisoned within the blade.
History
At some point, the blade had found its way into the horde of the copper great wyrm Tazmikella, where it was kept safe and secure. However, Hazirawn had managed to convince a mortal visiting her to steal him from the hoard, as he despised being in the custody of a dragon.
The blade eventually fell into the hands of the half-dragon Rezmir.
Tyranny of Dragons
Hazirawn was wielded by Rezmir through much of her time in the Cult of the Dragon, including during her confrontation with the Spellforged in the tunnels beneath Skyreach Castle. However, when Rezmir was defeated, the blade was instead claimed by the tiefling Odd. While Hazirawn had criticisms about his new wielder (namely that she did not conduct herself in a way that befitted an ancient and respected Netherese general, and that she was not particularly intelligent) he relented that it was ultimately better than being wielded by a half-dragon, and he surmised that Odd was potentially someone that he could readily mold into a more ideal wielder.
And she at least was good at killing dragons.
It also appeared that Odd had a connection to the Raven Queen, thus could trade raven tokens gifted to her in exchange for valuable memories in order to further upgrade the capabilities of the sword.
When the Spellforged treated with the council of metallic dragons for allyship against the cult, Tazmikella was present and recognized the blade that was stolen from her. She requested the blade be returned in exchange for her support. While the Spellforged attempted to barter with her to delay the return as Hazirawn had proven useful in the battles against the cult, her demand remained firm. Hazirawn declared that if Odd returned him to the dragon he would never forgive her.
However, at the urging of Nayiss Ourobori (who claimed over a telepathic bond that this was a test being conducted by Tazmikella), Odd returned the sword to the great dragon despite Hazirawn's enraged proclamations.
After the metallic dragons agreed to help the Queen's Rout council, Tazmikella returned the blade to Odd as she agreed that the sword could do more good in the hands of someone fighting the cult, she just simply wished to have an item that was stolen returned to her. Hazirawn gave Odd a firm cold shoulder as she had been willing to give him away, but even he could not hide his glee at being used in the trial of combat that the platinum dragon Bahamut used to test the mettle of the Spellforged.
And that he was instrumental in successfully defeating the god's aspect.
