Awakened Blade
The most prominent source of bearers, or at the very least the most notable amongst adventurers. These relics are also the most frequent in their own demise. Such a relic is built entirely for battle and bloodshed, enhancing itself and its wielder so that the earth below them remains fed with blood and bone. Many may keep their relic in its initial shape, but many more may find its inner powers through everchanging forms.

Relic of War
Upon taking this archetype at 3rd level, your relic manifests as one of the melee weapons on your person, if it wasn't already. Such a relic provides you the following benefits:
- Your relic counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
- When teleporting your relic to your hand, as a bonus action, or upon rolling initiative, you can change the form your relic uses (see the Weapons section for melee weapon options).
- Any weapon your relic takes the form of gains the Thrown property with a range of 20/60, and returns to your hand on a hit or miss.
- You don't suffer any penalties from the Heavy property if your relic has it.
Honed for Violence
Also at 3rd level, your relic's fluid shape enhances its effectiveness. As a bonus action, or as part of changing your relic's form, you gain one of the following benefits of your choice until the end of your turn, so long as your relic has that property.
- Finesse. Upon hitting or missing a creature, you can immediately move up to half your movement. This does not provoke attacks of opportunities.
- Heavy. Upon hitting a creature one size larger than you or smaller, you can force it to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you push it 5 feet away from you, at which point you can immediately move into its previous space.
- Light. You create a hollow copy of your relic in your other hand, making a weapon attack with it as part of this bonus action. This copy disappears after a hit or miss, and adds your damage modifier on a hit.
- Reach. You treat your relic's reach as 5 feet further. On a hit, you can force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw, pulling them 5 feet towards you on a failed save.
- Thrown. You double the range of this attack, ignoring disadvantage when attacking creatures in its long range. Throwing it within its close range grants you a +1 bonus to its attack roll.
- Two-Handed. On a hit, you treat a roll of 1 on a damage roll as the highest number for the dice.
- Versatile. Upon hitting a creature, you can increase the relic's damage dice by one size. Wielding it one-handed allows you to reroll 1s on its damage rolls, while wielding it two-handed allows you to reroll 2s.
Warfare Connoisseur
At 6th level, your relic provides you an innate knowledge on the carnage of war. Choose Entangling Strike, Ice Knife, Searing Smite, Thunderous Smite, Wrathful Strike, or Zephyr Strike. Each time you expend a trigger, you may cast your chosen spell once during the duration of the trigger.
Damage Expert
Upon reaching 10th level, you can enhance or specialize your relic for battle. Each time you finish a short or long rest, you can add or remove one weapon property of your choice from your relic. Removing a property increases your weapon's damage die to a d10. A d12 or 2d6 weapon instead becomes 2d8.
Empowered Weapon
At 14th level, your relic naturally enhances how it deals damage. You score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. Upon scoring a critical hit, you can perform one of the following benefits based on your relic's current damage type.
- Bludgeoning. Each hostile creature in a 30-foot cone must succeed a Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 feet away from you.
- Piercing. Each hostile creature in a 60-foot line must succeed a Dexterity saving throw or have their movement reduced to 0 until the end of your next turn.
- Slashing. Each hostile creature in a 10-foot radius of you must succeed a Constitution saving throw or take damage equal to the critical hit damage.
Once you have used one of these benefits, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Relic of Massacre
Upon reaching 20th level, you can attack three times, instead of twice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
