College of Courtesy
To those who follow the ideals of kindness and generosity, the greatest joys in the world is the spirit and potential of those around them. These bards are found as butlers, maids, courtiers, personal counselors of kings and queens, or as right hand men of great heroes. Through their clever quips, professional advice, and charming skills, they push the best out of their comrades through kindness and aid.
Skills for the Job
Upon taking this college at 3rd level, you know that no gentleman is not without their set of specific trainings. You gain proficiency in a tool, game set, vehicle (land or water), and a skill of your choice.
When performing a skill check with any of these proficiencies, you treat a d20 roll of 7 or lower as an 8.
True to Your Word
Also at 3rd level, you know how to back up your advice and commendations. When a creature rolls one of your bardic inspiration die, you add half of the total to the next roll you make. This roll must be of the same kind, and must be done no less than 1 minute after the creature uses the bardic inspiration.
After You
At 6th level, you aid your comrades before the battle even begins. You gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.
Additionally, when rolling initiative, choose a friendly creature that rolled lower than you. They now start immediately before you.
Once you have used this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Faithful Companion
Also at 6th level, you have advantage on concentration checks made to maintain a spell on a friendly creature.
A Gentleman's Last Words
At 14th level, you can bend your magic so that you take the hit for your allies in their time of need. When a creature would fail a saving throw or skill check while using your bardic inspiration die, you can spend a reaction to re-roll it as if you made the save or check. When doing so, you also reroll the bardic inspiration die and take the better of the two results. If it would still result in a fail and is a saving throw, you suffer the effects instead.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. You can spend a spell slot of 4th level or higher to regain a use of this feature.
