College of Wild
Followers of the College of the Wild see the potential of growth in everything. Experts in the art of botany and raising, these bards are capable of growing plants through song alone and attracting animals through a single tune. Seeing potential in any creature, these bards can raise their allies and call upon nature to fight when the going gets hard.
Nature's Knowledge
When you choose this college at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Nature and Survival skills, and you learn one cantrip of your choice from the druid spell list.
Tunes of Growth
Also at 3rd level, your musical inspirations can grant creatures a temporary growth in size. Whenever a creature uses one of your Bardic Inspiration die, its size increases by one category until the end of its next turn, allowing a Small creature to become Medium for example. If there isn't enough room for the creature to increase its size, it attains the maximum possible size in the space available.
While in this new size, the creature gains the following benefits:
- Their reach increases by 5 feet.
- They have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws
- Their Armor Class increases by 1.
Call Upon Nature
Starting at 6th level, you can call upon the wild to aid you. As an action, choose a plant or beast with a Challenge Rating equal or lower than half your level in this class. They appear in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. This creature remains for 1 minute, until it is reduced to 0 hit points, or until you die. It is friendly to you and your companions.
In combat, this creature shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the creature can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge.
When you use your Bardic Inspiration feature, you can command the creature as part of the same bonus action you use for Bardic Inspiration.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Speak for the Wild
Also at 6th level, you know the speech of plants and beasts. You can communicate with any plant and beast as if it had an Intelligence score of 3 or higher, allowing you and them to understand one another as if you shared a common language. You also have advantage on any Charisma check you make with plants and beasts.
Forests Touch
Starting at 14th level, your research in nature has granted you rare spells. You learn two of the following spells; Awaken, Commune with Nature, Tree Stride, Transport via Plants, or Wrath of Nature.
The chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don't count against the number of bard spells you know.
