Circle of Harvest

The Circle of Harvest grants druids a powerful connection to vitality and life, of which they use to cultivate plants and creatures in order to sustain more life. As such, these druids are an essential to any drought or poor harvests, allowing the hungry to survive off of their now enriched food that would have failed to feed them before. Just pray that through these acts of "kindness", these druids aren't enriching you for some other creatures.

Circle Spells

When you follow this circle at 2nd level, your connection to life and death grants you spells that allow you to manipulate both aspects, granting you access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of Harvest Spells table.

Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the Druid Spell List, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

You can also do this by spending a reaction when a creature within 60 feet of you dies. You decide which plant grows from this corpse, choosing from the options below.

  • Fruit of Plenty. A creature who eats this fruit regains hit points equal to two rolls of the deceased creature's hit die.
  • Stout Vegetable. A creature who eats this vegetable has advantage on the next saving throw they makes before the end of their next turn.
  • Remedial Herbs. A creature who eats these herbs gain resistance to poison damage, and has advantage on saving throws against poison and diseases until the end of their next turn. If this creature was poisoned, it is instead no longer poisoned.

Creatures of your choice within 5 feet of this plant can pick it up and consume it as a bonus action, gaining the plants benefits. These plants last for a number of hours equal to your proficiency bonus before wilting away.

You can manifest these plants a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after a long rest. Once per long rest, you can spend a use of your Wild Shape feature to regain all expended uses of this feature.

At 6th level, you can empower a creature with lifeforce, leaving them ripe for the killing. As a bonus action, choose a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. For the next minute, their size category increases by one and they gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to your level in this class. If they lack the room to grow, they remain as their current size. Undead and constructs are immune to this feature.

Reap and Sow

Upon reaching 14th level, your connection to life allows you to fully transfer a dying creature's essence into the environment around it. You can cast the Plant Growth, Giant Insect, or Grasping Vine spell once without expending a spell slot.

Additionally, you can cast these spells as a reaction when a creature within 30 feet of you dies. Doing so provides additional benefits based on the chosen spell.

  • Plant Growth. You can cast either uses of the spell as a reaction, rather than their standard time.
  • Giant Insect. Damage can't break your concentration on this spell, and each creature gains temporary hit points equal to your level in this class.
