Battle Tactics
At 3rd level, you learn maneuvers akin to a master of battle.
- Maneuvers. You learn three maneuvers of your choice from those available to the Battle Master archetype. Many maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. You can use only one maneuver per attack. You learn an additional maneuver of your choice at 9th, 13th, and 17th level. Each time you learn new maneuvers or reach an Ability Score Improvement feature, you can also replace one maneuver you know with a different one.
- Superiority Dice. You have an amount of superiority dice equal to your amount of Sneak Attack dice + 1, which are d6's. This die is used to fuel your maneuvers, and is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended superiority dice when you finish a long rest.
- Saving Throws. Some of your maneuvers require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver's effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
- Maneuver save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice).
Dirty Fighting
Also at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in medium armor, and learn an additional way to use your Sneak Attack. You don't need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature when they're the target of one of your maneuvers, and if you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll. All the other rules for Sneak Attack still apply to you.
Underhanded Knowledge
At 9th level, your knowledge in being dirty handed makes it harder to trick you in turn. You have advantage on ability checks and saving throws against being grappled, proned, blinded, deafened, and forcefully moved.
Trick Adept
At 13th level, your tactics are never empty-handed. When rolling your superiority dice alongside sneak attack damage, you can treat your superiority dice roll as if it was the same roll as your highest damage roll in your Sneak Attack.
Contempt Master
At 17th level, you regain 1 superiority die when dealing your Sneak Attack damage if you have no more than half your superiority dice left. You can regain superiority dice in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after a long rest.
