Talent of the Living Rift
While many conduits manifest the planes through rifts and distant spells, others seek to become living avatar of the planes. Embodying their title, these conduits gain the ability to channel planar might from their very flesh and soul, becoming one with the magic that binds the planes together.
Planar Infusion
Upon taking this flair at 3rd level, you have learned how to manifest rifts through your very being. Each time you create a planar rift, you can choose to center it on you. Doing so causes it to move with you, and provides you the following benefits:
- You can choose to be immune to the rift's effects.
- When you cast a spell with a range of touch, you can instead target any one creature within your rift's area.
- When you cast a spell that has a range of 5 feet or greater, you can instead change its range to be the rift's area.
- You ignore material component requirements from spells in your Favoured Plane spell table.
Repose Beyond the Material
At 6th level, you can rest between the planes to quickly recover. As an action, you disappear to a demiplane, returning to your space after 1 minute. Upon returning, you gain the benefits of a short rest, and can cast your Favoured Plane's 1st level spell once without expending a spell slot before the end of your next long rest.
Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Slip-Through
Upon reaching 10th level, you can manifest yourself wherever you create a rift. As part of creating a planar rift, you can teleport to its space. Doing so immediately centers it on you.
Moreover, while you have a planar rift active and cast a spell from your favoured plane spell table, you can ignore the harmful effects of your spells if you would be affected by them.
Otherworldly Protection
At 14th level, you can infuse yourself into the fabric separating planes, protecting you in turn. Upon centering your planar rift to you, you gain resistance to all damage for the rift's duration.
Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 4th level or higher to use it again.
