Talents of the Worldly Ambassador
In the search of greater knowledge about the otherworldly, one is bound to encounter the residents of the planes they study. Many conduits may not be the most charismatic of individuals to represent our world, and so the rare few gain the moniker of Worldly Ambassadors. With great grit and silver tongues, these figures share a natural resistance to the charms of the otherworldly, and give new perspectives to the life outside one's own world.
Planar Tongue
Upon taking this flair at 3rd level, you have taught yourself how to better interact with extraplanar creatures, providing you the following benefits:
- You know Primordial and one other exotic language of your choice.
- Whenever you make a Charisma check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to half your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1). If this check is against an Elemental or creature not native to your plane of existence, this instead increases to being equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
- You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, or Persuasion.
Elemental Perspective
Also at 3rd level, you can impart to others a brief connection to the planes. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your planar rift to enhance a willing creature within 30 feet of you. For the next minute, they gain the following:
- Their creature type changes to Elemental.
- They gain your Favoured Plane spell table as if they had a conduit level equal to half your own. If they can't cast spells, they can cast the cantrip and can cast the 1st level spell once, using your spellcasting DC and modifier.
Intermediary of the Planes
At 6th level, you can speak to any creature tied to otherworldly magic. You can communicate with and understand Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, and Fiends, even if you don't share a shared language.
Moreover, you gain proficiency in Charisma saving throws.
Greater Perspective
Starting at 10th level, you can impart a greater bond to the planes. When using your Elemental Perspective, you can expend two uses of your planar rift. Doing so provides the additional benefits for the duration:
- They manifest your favoured plane's rift in a 10-foot radius.
- They can cast the 2nd and 3rd level spell from your favoured plane spell table once, using your spellcasting DC and modifier.
Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Incorruptible Diplomat
At 14th level, your spirits outdoes the essence of otherworldly beings. You are always under the effects of a Protection from Evil and Good spell.
