The Lord of Vengeance: Tenebre
Be wary of the night, my kin. Be wary of the world when our mother’s heart falls below the horizon, for humanity has taken the darkness as their own. We sought to ruin our sister for her empathy towards these sacks of flesh, and what was left of her has blessed them with her rage. I can hear her roars in the night, calling out our names, our blood, our souls. Be wary of the night, of the caves of endless depths, of every corner where darkness creeps; what once lived now burns with vengeance for all that has wronged her. - Disputed statement by Regnatus, slain elder dragon.
The first source that brought Galderan people together under one banner was not an idea of peace nor survival, but that of retribution. Since man could scribe their own history, their pages were stained by the tyranny of dragons. Some of these dragons took pity on these mortals, and so behind their kindred’s backs they taught humanoids the wonders of magic. Stories tell that soon elder dragons would discover this spark of a gift, and in turn would banish the leader of this blasphemy. The name of this leader has been burned from history, leaving only behind the chars of a title she is known as today; Tenebre.

Queen of the Void
The ruler and only soul of the Realm of Void, Tenebre has lived millennias trapped in a world absent of all senses and matter. The only light that keeps her sane is said to be that of her radiant horn, and of the unrelenting revenge that burns within her heart. In the eons she has remained there, mortals fueled by revenge and fury have found themselves under her wings, gifted with weapons of darkness and draconic magic so that they may claim victory against their sworn enemies. Countless have succeeded, countless others have failed, with both leaving in their paths others burning with revenge they seek to quell.
Her chosen revel her as the source for the fall of the Draconic Empire, for it was so that her gifts of magic and fangs allowed mankind to overthrow their despots. In Galdera’s history since this event, countless heroes and villains have claimed their source of power to that of the Lord of Vengeance, to the viridian dragon of the night.
Lordly Affiliations
The Lord of Vengeance knows few allies amongst the Lords of Temptations and Gods of Galdera.
- The Lord of Love shares a kinship to the elder dragon, the two fueling mortals with passion towards each other. Er'aeis zealots are known to try and soothe the unbridled fury harbored by Tenebre's zealots, often to no avail. Many seem doomed in being blinded with vengeance, rather than to look beyond and foster a healed heart.
- The Lord of Immortality is despised by Tenebre, for she sees within nothing more than an echo of her kin; a beating heart refusing its dead body. Varment in turn cares little for the Lord of Vengeance’s motivations, though claims exist that the lich seeks a cure to her life so that he may claim her corpse as his own.
- The tale between the Lords of Hope and Vengeance are founded in similar tragedy. Both banished by their kin, both echoing an urge to aid mortals. Countless times has Miradez failed to save his old love from the realm she lies imprisoned in, and countless times has he failed. Even still, perhaps the desire for one sunset together urges both still.
A Vengeful Influence
The circumstance you found yourself to work for Tenebre, or that she found you, are often stemmed in that of violence. You may have found her through;
- The complete destruction of your home, of which you swore to your dying breath to avenge.
- Surviving a near death experience from someone you trusted your soul to. Now, you wish nothing more than their heart in your hands.
- Swearing yourself to the Hunter’s Guild, to push back against and extinguish the feral dragons of the north.
- Being left to die or be sold by a figure of authority, all for their own benefit. You will stop at nothing to watch the light extinguish in their eyes.

Tenebre’s Ideals
You increase your renown with the Lord of Vengeance and her zealots when performing the following deeds;
- Assisting another in the path for retribution, be it solving a dead end, securing a powerful weapon for their vengeance, or leading to the death of those that sparked their misery.
- Slaying a dragon, or laying waste to their unhatched spawn.
- Securing the escape of a creature imprisoned for far too long.
- Finding a powerful means to travel between realms, or open a near-permanent gate between two realms.
Your renown with the Lord of Vengeance and her zealots will diminish when accomplishing the following deeds;
- Denying resolution or revenge from someone you know closely, be it reviving or slaying the source of their misery, or killing them before they can accomplish their goal.
- Dooming an innocent or someone outside your scope of vengeance to a life of servitude or imprisonment.
- Knowingly assisting a dragon outside herself, or aiding in the return of their reign.
- Fostering reconciliation or comradery between two hated opponents, rather than aid in slaying the aggressor.
