Omens of Overgrowth
''You have laid witness to a world overtaken by a primordial age. Perhaps it is an ancient past of verdant greens, a future overgrown in fungi or roots, or a current maelstrom of regrowth. Your visions in time allows you magic shared by druids and their kin, weaving the growth and might of nature. You may seek to aid the world where it is at its most dying, seek out the den to slay an unborn monstrosity, or secure seeds to extinct treants from long ago.'
Omen Magic
You choose your omen spells at the Harbinger levels listed.
| Harbinger Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Ensnare, Find Familiar, Goodberry |
| 5th | Spider Climb, Spike Growth, Summon Beast |
| 7th | Erupting Earth, Fly, Plant Growth |
| 9th | Grasping, Vine, Guardian of Nature, Polymorph |
| 13th | Awaken, Insect Plague, Wrath of Nature |
Roots in Time
Upon taking this omen at 3rd level, you can manifest vines across time to slow and ensnare your foes. When rolling initiative, choose another creature you can see within 60 feet of you. They must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or gain one of the following until the end of your second turn, depending on if they rolled a higher or lower initiative than you;
- Higher Initiative: Stasis Stalks. Magical roots ensnare your target. The chosen creature has their movement speed halved on their next turn, and can only take an action or bonus action on their turn.
- Lower Initiative: Vernal Bloom. A wave of plants grows rapidly around your target in a 15-foot radius. Hostile creatures treat these spaces as difficult terrain, and treat any other creatures in these spaces as being heavily obscured.
You can spend your bonus action to extend this effect until the end of your following turn. When doing so, the target creature can roll this saving throw at the end of their next turn, ending this effect early on a success.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expending uses after a long rest.
Primal Vision
Also at 3rd level, time has allowed you to see the cycle of primordial growth. You gain one of the following based on your chosen time.
- Seeds of the Past. You know the Thorn Whip spell, and can cast it as a bonus action.
- Bark of the Present. You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
- Mulch of the Future. You ignore difficult terrain, as well as obscurement, caused by vegetation.
Rewind the Senses
At 6th level, you can channel primal senses into others to enhance their own. If a foretell roll would lead to a successful attack or ability check, you may have the affected creature gain a +1 bonus to their AC until the end of their next turn. If the roll would be a failure, you can instead grant them temporary hit points equal to your level in this class.
Burgeoning Self
Upon reaching 10th level, time has ingrained itself into your very being. You gain 3d4 inches in height, and you gain one of the following benefits based on your chosen vision.
- The Past is Rooted in Me. You gain resistance to bludgeoning damage. Moreover, you cannot be physically moved against your will, and have advantage against falling prone.
- The Present Blooms through Me. You gain resistance to piercing damage. Moreover, you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
- The Future Grows within Me. You gain resistance to slashing damage. Moreover, you gain proficiency in three skills of your choice, and gain expertise in one skill you are proficient with.
Primordial Growth
Upon reaching 14th level, your control over time allows you to warp and control beasts to aid you. You always have the Dominate Beast and Polymorph spells prepared, and can cast either of these spells once without expending a spell slot. Once you have done so, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
When casting Polymorph this way, you may choose one of the following: - You choose the beast's challenge rating be equal to or less than your level in this class, rather than based on the target's CR. - You may have the target turn into a plant, rather than a beast, of an equal to or lesser CR.
When casting Polymorph using a spell slot, you may also expend a Foretell use to use your Character Level for the spell.
