Effect. For the duration, you can sense the presence and location of poisons, poisonous creatures, and diseases within 30 feet of you. You also identify the kind of poison, poisonous creature, or disease in each case.

Special. The spell can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.

At Higher Levels.

3rd or 4th level: The duration is 1 hour.
5th or 6th level: The duration is 8 hours.
7th or 8th level: The duration is 8 hours, but the range within which you can sense things is expanded to be within 100 feet of you.
9th level or higher: The range within which you can sense things is expanded to be within 300 feet of you.
