Components: SM* (a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp that does piercing or slashing damage)
Duration: Instantaneous

Target. One creature within the reach of your weapon.
Attack Roll. Melee weapon attack with the weapon used to cast the spell.
Hit. The weapon attack's normal damage, and the target begins Bleeding. The damage of this effect is 1d4 necrotic damage, and the Constitution saving throw and Medicine check to end the effect is equal to your spell save DC.
Cantrip Progression. This spell's damage increases when you reach higher levels. At 5th level, the melee attack deals an extra 1d4 necrotic damage to the target on a hit, and the bleed damage increases to 2d4. Both damage rolls increase by 1d4 at 11th level (2d4 and 3d4), 17th level (3d4 and 4d4), 23rd level (4d4 and 5d4), and 28th level (5d4 and 6d4).
