Rainbow Lotus | World of Warcraft: Redux
The Rainbow Lotus is a magical plant that blooms in freshwater.
The petals of these flowers can be used to make pigment, and used to make ink and dye all over Azeroth. As the name suggests they come in a variety of colors.
Kaldorei use the petals of flowers grown in the Well of Eternity as ink to be used in their coming of age facial tattooing ceremonies, and the markings that adorn druids when they choose their Circle. It is also considered good luck to gift a student a lotus blossom, that they can then use to make ink to use on their exams. It is considered an insult to give a lotus flower to someone who is not a student, as it implies they have something to learn.
While the petals are the most well known, all parts of the plants can be used. The root, stem and seeds are edible and the leaves can be used to wrap and flavor food. The root also has medicinal uses.
