Azari the Devourer was a powerful pit lord that the warlock Rin Lostspanner attempted to summon into the heart of Mechagon City via a portal to the Twisting Nether.
Description
Azari was a beast of a pit lord that had ample fat over still-powerful muscle. His head was wreathed in green fel flames, and his maw was a gnashing mess of jagged fangs that fit poorly together. He had burning orange-yellow eyes and wore a bull ring in his nose. Unlike some other annihilan, he lacked the massive horns that jutted out from the sides of his head, though it was unclear if they had been torn off or if he simply never had them grow.
Like most pit lords, Azari was demanding and cruel, and craved destruction and war above all else.
Biography
Chapter Five: Civil War
Azari was the pit lord that was being summoned by Rin Lostspanner in the Enlightened Assembly of Arcanology, Alchemy and Engineering Sciences. When the portal that would draw him through to Mechagon City was nearly complete, he managed to draw the gnomish warlock Wilfred Fizzlebang through and quickly disposed of him. During the conflict that unfolded between Velameestra Windrunner, Rin, and Velameestra's companions, Azari continued to try and force himself through the portal.
Unfortunately for him, however, Velameestra and Liiraluma were able to successfully collapse the portal. Before he was completely cut off from the Timeless Isle, he managed to draw Rin into the portal with him.
