Biography

Bakaz made his name and his reputation in the Second Troll Wars. Fighting through many battles and playing an important role in many of the Amani victories in the war, Bakaz earned well his standing with the Amani. As the war has ended and time has moved on, Bakaz has become disillusioned with the direction that the Amani have taken. Specifically, Bakaz sees the Amani's role in joining the Horde as a fool's errand. Bakaz believes that Zul'Jin wants to retake Silverpine without a plan as to how the Amani will hold this land again, as they do not have the numbers with which they can realistically hold onto their original homeland. Seeking to protect the Amani from further devastation, Bakaz now seeks a new source of power that he can use to challenge Zul'Jin's rule and lead his people away from what he believes will be their doom. Additionally, Bakaz seeks a new patron Loa for his tribe, as he despises Hakkar.

Pre-Campaign

While scouting for resources, Zar'Kaa, a young Darkspear headhunter, was captured, along with his comrades, by Bakaz and his Amani hunters. Bakaz and his group killed some of the Darkspear warriors and took the rest, including Zar'Kaa, as prisoners, planning to interrogate them and later use them as sacrifices to Hakkar. While in captivity, Zar'Kaa and Bakaz had a long conversation, during which each troll found that they were very similar. Bakaz took a certain liking to Zar'Kaa in that single interaction, remarking on how he would not enjoy torturing Zar'Kaa for intel on the Darkspear or feeding his soul to Hakkar. Fortunately for Zar'Kaa, who endured great pain at the hands of Bakaz, his soul did not find its way to Hakkar's gullet, as Zar'Kaa was able to escape Bakaz's custody, along with a Fastrider high elf whom Bakaz did not know. Both Bakaz and Zar'Kaa still remember one another and have kept their ears to the ground, looking forward to the day that they might settle the score.
