You speak a word of adjudication, denouncing the sins of the target. If the target can hear you (though it need not understand you), it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 5d4 holy damage and is stunned for 1 round, or half as much damage on a successful save.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage is increased by 1d4 for each slot above 3rd.
