Dracthyr
Ancestry Traits
Size. Your size is Medium.
Speed. 30 ft.
You are a Dragon.
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of magical energy in 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10). You can use your Breath Weapon a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Because of your wings, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can't use this flying speed if you're wearing medium or heavy armor.
As an action, you may polymorph into one of your two forms: your visage form–a specific humanoid shape of your same sex– or your draconic dracthyr form. Your statistics are the same in each form, unless otherwise noted, but you cannot use your Breath Weapon or Flight trait in your visage form. Any equipment you aren't wearing or carrying isn't transformed, and you revert to your humanoid form if you die.
Paragon Options
Dragon Fear
As in the racial feat from Xanathar's Guide to Everything except the ability score increase is replaced with proficiency in the Intimidation skill.
Empowered Breath Weapon
Your breath weapon is greater than most, and can be used in special ways. You gain the following benefits:
- If your breath weapon is a cone, it becomes 30 feet. If your breath weapon is a line, it extends to 60 feet.
- You gain a second breath weapon. When you use your Breath Weapon trait, you can replace your breath weapon with an exhalation of energy in a 30-foot cone. The save DC for this breath is 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. Whenever you use this trait, choose one:
- Enervating Breath. Each creature in the cone must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or become incapacitated until the start of your next turn.
- Repulsion Breath. Each creature in the cone must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pushed 20 feet away from you and be knocked prone.
- Sleep Breath. Each creature in the cone must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious for 10 minutes. This effect ends for a creature if the creature takes damage or someone uses an action to wake it.
- Slowing Breath. Each creature in the cone must succeed on a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature can't take reactions and its speed is halved until the end of its next turn, and on its next turn, it can't make more than one attack, and it can use either an action or bonus action.
Increased Wing Strength
Your fly speed increases by 10 feet, and you can now use this flying speed if you're wearing medium or heavy armor.
Neltharion's Warding
You gain a deeper connection to your draconic masters. Choose two of the following: acid, arcane, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or radiant. You gain resistance to the chosen damage types. If you chose poison, you have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself.
