Camrus Bloodstar was a ranking member of the Syndicate that was being held as a prisoner of Durnholde Keep. He escaped during the prison break orchestrated by Velameestra Windrunner, but was recaptured and eventually executed.

Appearance

Like most elves, Camrus was an attractive man, though he has jet black hair and the glow of his eyes appears to be far more vibrant due to his addiction to a rather controversial elixir that empowers magical abilities.

Personality

Camrus was cunning and arrogant when his addiction was satiated, as was found in the abrupt difference in character between the desperate, hungering man held in the cells of Durnholde and the individual that came after. However, his arrogance ultimately proved to be his end, as after his escape was aided by Velameestra, he was recaptured, and promptly turned to attempting to blackmail her to help him escape a second time rather than simply take any debts as paid.

Biography

Camrus's previous history is presently unknown. However, at some point he was captured and contained within Durnholde Keep, from which he ultimately escaped when a riot erupted in the prisons.

It was found out later that he was successfully re-captured when Durnholde was retaken.

Death (June 26th, 632)

Camrus was executed at the hands of Prince Victor Prestor for his crimes against Durnholde after he attempted to blackmail Velameestra Windrunner into helping him escape a second time. She appeared to agree, but then promptly spoke with Victor in private, informing him of Camrus's intent and then proceeding to confess to her own involvement in Durnholde so that Camrus could not use it against her, and ultimately lost any bargaining ability he had--sealing his fate.

Chapter Three: The Scales Tip

An illusory image of Camrus was used by Velameestra to question two dead assassins that were found at the scene of the attack on Arthas Menethil's entourage though the use of the speak with dead spell provided by Remnii. The illusion was used on a hunch that the assassins may have been related to the Syndicate, and due to the fact the animated bodies were cooperative with Camrus's image, that involvement was able to be confirmed.
