Win'thas Keenblossom was a student of Duskwither Spire and was deeply involved in the warlock cabal that had sprung up at the academy. One of the ringleaders of the group, he was responsible for orchestrating several of their movements, and aided Orican Runesight in capturing one of the power crystals that kept the school floating. He was ultimately captured, but escaped during the Sacking of Silvermoon.

Win'thas was among the members of the Shadowsword that Orican Runesight sent as representatives to the meeting of Arthak Saurfang's Clipped Wing coalition, which had been organized to deal with the Blood Shrike and the members of the Thalassian resistance that had taken root in the sewers below Silvermoon. His imp familiar served as a translator for the Shadowsword elves that were present, as very few of the Shadowsword knew orcish, and a likewise few orcs knew thalassian.
