Outland Day 48

As the group steps into the pool, they find the water is very cool and has a certain magical elemental to it that is reminiscent--in some ways--to the magic at the springs where they had first encountered the Netherwing dragons. However, this pool is even more pure and infused with magic.

Tyri also slips into the pool, though Kalec opts to remain outside it.

Noriyaku says [common]: I had been speaking to Kalec since he arrived not too long ago, and he’s informed me of many of the things beyond places I’ve seen during my time here. He’s also told me of your coming, and that he believes you and I share the same goals.

Halno opts to serve as a translator for the common.

No'Rash says: It would appear so.
Nyxxa says [common]: We’ve learned a couple things about you, but I’d like to hear them from you.
Noriyaku says [common]: There’s not much to tell. I don’t remember much--only from when I first awoke in the dread wyrm’s custody. When the earth trembled, I was able to escape with many of my children, but many more were left with my mate. I’ve done what I could to nurture my young so we could rescue my beloved and the rest of my children.
No'Rash says: This was on Azeroth?
Noriyaku says [common]: It was here, on this broken world.
Nyxxa says [common]: When the dread wyrm was ousted from the Horde, she sent her followers to Outland before it shattered.
No'Rash says: This must have been after I took my leave of the Horde.
Nyxxa says [common]: I’m sorry you can’t remember anything.
Noriyaku says [common]: I remember what I have to, and what is important. I remember my children, I remember my beloved, and I remember Sinestra and what I have to do to save my family from her.
No'Rash says: You have focus, and that seems to be working out.
Nyxxa says [common]: And I can relate.

Noriyaku cocks her head.

Noriyaku says [common]: How do you mean?
Nyxxa says [common]: Through different circumstances, I too lost a lot of my past. After I was transformed into this.

She gestures to herself.

Nyxxa says [common]: I suppose you wouldn’t know, but the type of demon I am wasn’t always a demon. But… that doesn’t need to be addressed now. I understand, more or less.
Noriyaku says [common]: We are strangers introducing ourselves to each other. I know of the demons. That they are chaotic and they rule this fragmented world. By and large, my children have kept away from them. The same could be said of the orcs. We have tried to keep to ourselves and nourish our strength.
Nyxxa says [common]: Both those decisions are wise.
No'Rash says: I cannot blame you for that. I cannot speak for all orcs, but the Horde is more warlike and destructive than the clans were when they were seperate.
Nyxxa says [common]: The demons will try to either bring you into their fold or destroy you.
No'Rash says: The orcs would likely do the same.

Noriyaku’s eyes flicker between those here.

Noriyaku says [common]: You are demons as well, aren’t you?
Nyxxa says [common]: Yes… though, we are…

Nyxxa looks over the rest of the group.

Azgadaan says [common]: You should all be more specific. When you say demons, you mean the Legion. When you say the orcs, you mean the Horde.
Nyxxa says [common]: Things are complex. If you were to run into a demon, they would likely harm you. I would recommend you err on the side of caution. We are… though I do not like to say this, exceptions to that rule.
No'Rash says: Most of us.
Nyxxa says [common]: We stand against what a lot of our people represent. I only say this to give a warning…
Noriyaku says [common]: I appreciate the warning, and I’m glad for the lessons. My children and I have much to see and discover about this world, and all the others beyond the stars. But is is refreshing to see that not all orcs and demons are dangerous, even if many are. There are many similarities between your peoples and dragons. For the longest time, I believed that I was alone with my children. That all other dragons were cruel and evil. And then I met Miss Tyri and Kalec. They showed me kindness amongst dragons, and that there are dragons on faraway places that would show love and kindness towards me and my family. While I do sincerely desire this to be sure, I will always use the caution I learned. And I will do the same with your people as well. Demons, orcs, and others that look like you.

She glances at Halno.

Nyxxa says [common]: That is refreshing to hear. I’m glad what happened to you hasn’t tarnished your kindness.
Noriyaku says [common]: I think kindness should be earned, but it should be given once it is.
No'Rash says: That’s a good way to put it. Not everyone who is kind can give it. I think you are right it should be earned in some way.
Nyxxa says [common]: Despite the fact I know kindness can be exploited, I don’t think it’s ever wasted. But you have to do what you must, and take each instance as they come.
No'Rash says: And perhaps consider those you trust…

He gestures to the other dragons.

No'Rash says: It is not a weakness to rely on them.

Azuka is glaring daggers into the back of No’Rash’s head at the comment.

Nyxxa says [common]: That aside… while it is good to learn about each other, we should talk about our intentions in coming here. We are planning on attempting to take down the dread wyrm.
Noriyaku says [common]: So you are seeking to slay her?
Nyxxa says [common]: Yes. She is a great threat to both this world and others. So she must be dealt with.
No'Rash says: But she is not the only one. We have another target. Noriyaku, what do you know of the Legion? At least the Legion as they exist here?

Noriyaku shakes her head.

Noriyaku says [common]: Little. I know they construct titans of steel, and their magic burns green and fills me with trepidation.
No'Rash says: Here on what was Draenor, only a portion of a Legion stands. Their operations are led by a powerful demon called Mannoroth. A pit lord. He commands the forces on this world. And currently those forces are at odds with the opposing dragon.
Nyxxa says [common]: We’ve been requested to kill this demon, and in the process of setting up a good place to stage taking him down, he has been mustering forces against Sinestra. We plan to use the chaos to take out both of them, so neither can rule Outland.

Nyxxa glances at both Tyri and Kalec. Kalec’s eyes widen.

Kalecgos says [common]: I see… that is no short order. I have never faced a pit lord in battle, but I know they are terrifying opponents, and Mannoroth was one of the commanders during the War of the Ancients. You will not have an easy time, especially if you are fending off Sinestra.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yes, if they come to blows against each other, then that’s the best chance we have. As well as for getting away with it without getting caught…
No'Rash says: The enemy that does not fight as one, does not fight at all. Or at least, they fight poorly.
Nyxxa says [common]: We want to offer you the chance, Noriyaku, to use that chaos and save those you weren’t able to take with you.

Noriyaku nods.

Noriyaku says [common]: I do not know if my children and I can help you with this pit lord, but you will have us flying at your back when the time comes. We would be fools to not take advantage of such an opportunity. If a battle will occur at Sinestra’s hold, then my family will be there to lay waste to her operations, and liberate those in her grasp.
Nyxxa says [common]: If we have people focusing on Sinestra… our main target needs to be Mannoroth, but others focusing on Sinestra reduces her odds of escape.
Kalecgos says [common]: I’m under the impression from first-hand accounts with the Alliance Expedition that during the Shattering of this world Sinestra and Mannoroth fought outside the Dark Portal. Mannoroth had the upper hand. Black dragons are… prideful and dangerous, but they aren’t fools. I’m unsure she will be goaded into fighting Mannoroth in a fair confrontation. You could at least try to benefit to weaken one or both.
Nyxxa says [common]: I know some steps have been taken to embolden her.

Arthak hums from where he is leaning against a nearby wall, smoking.

Nyxxa says [common]: I’m not sure if she’ll take bait, but efforts have been made to make it more enticing. And Mannoroth is planning to march on her stronghold.
Kalecgos says [common]: For what it’s worth, I don’t know how much assistance the two of us can render, but we have a vested interest in ensuring the survival of the Netherwing flight.
Tyrygosa says [common]: We’ll be there. I won’t let anything happen to Nori or her children.

Kalec switches to draconic for a moment.

Kalecgos says [draconic]: We will have to speak with the others members of the Alliance--
Tyrygosa says [draconic]: This is something we have to do. We are not beholden to Khadgar and the other mortals. We were sent for our own reasons.
Kalecgos says [draconic]: I… understand.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Khadgar already knows most of what I’ve said here… for what that’s worth.

Kalec nods.

Kalecgos says [draconic]: On that, I’m not surprised. Considering that the two of you had been in communication, I suspected as much.

Nyxxa opts to transition back into common.

Nyxxa says [common]: I’m also planning on asking him what he can do given the Alliance is a stone throw away. There are other things at play. I’m not expecting a whole lot, but whatever chances we have to even the odds to ensure both of them go down… I’m going to try. At the very least.
No'Rash says: Especially because we will enter the battle with a disadvantage.
Azgadaan says [common]: There is that large elekk in the room which needs to be addressed.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yes, that was something we wouldn’t mind input on… though first, Noriyaku, if you wanted to address anything else?

Nori shakes her head.

Noriyaku says [common]: When the time comes, our primary objective will be to rescue our family, and then ensure Sinestra is brought down. I know she is more powerful than I am, but I will not let her lord that over me. Even if I can buy time, that will be enough.
Mordenaku says [common]: Mother, you can’t throw your life away.
Noriyaku says [common]: I don’t intend to, my son. Don’t worry, I won’t let my desire for vengeance cloud my judgement. I won’t allow myself to perish at her claws. I will never give her that satisfaction.
No'Rash says: The time for battle will be upon us soon. How will we contact you?
Noriyaku says [common]: My children have lairs at various places around the shattered world. When the time comes, we will know, and we will arrive.
No'Rash says: Then, when the battle does come, if I can ask something. In all likelihood, Mannoroth will be commanding forces of my people. The Horde has long been led astray by the Legion. Long have we fought and killed at their whim. Myself included. We must also own our sins and the things we have done. My people are not beyond redemption. Because they will be in the battle as well, if it can be avoided, I would ask my people not die needlessly.

Nori considers.

Noriyaku says [common]: I’m not one to take life without reason, but Sinestra command many of your people as well. I will only take the lives that need to be taken, and that stand in the way of my family.
No'Rash says: That is a fair assertion.
Noriyaku says [common]: My focus will be on Sinestra and her minions. Of that I can tell you.
No'Rash says: That assurance will be enough.

Halno is staring at No’Rash like he grew a second head.

Nyxxa says [common]: That aside… it’s unlikely orcs can land a blow against Mannoroth. We were wondering if that is something you may have insight on?

She looks at the blue dragons.

Kalecgos says [common]: The history between the orcs and demons is not fully known to me. Without further context, I can only make guesses.

Go’el explains the situation based on his knowledge of the circumstances, explaining that Gul’dan had come to the Horde with the power of the fel, and how many of their people had imbibed the power not knowing where it came from. However, in more recent times, it had become obvious that the power came from the blood of the pit lords--specifically the blood of Mannoroth.

Kalec nods.

Kalecgos says [common]: I see. I have some theories, but little more than that. My guess is that your people are bound to his strength, and the reason you can’t strike against him is because the strength he granted you can be controlled by him. Overcoming that would be no small order… but it may be possible.
No'Rash says: What would you suggest?
Kalecgos says [common]: Unfortunately, with just a few theories there’s not much I can offer beyond bolstering your own fortitude. If you were able to resist the curse in your blood, then perhaps you could overpower it. But it would be difficult. Alternatively, you could try to bypass it magically I suppose.
No'Rash says: We have contemplated communing with our ancestors to see if they could aid us.
Kalecgos says [common]: It is possible they may have answers.
No'Rash says: Beyond theories, is there anything else you could do?
Kalecgos says [common]: There are many things I can do. I suppose I need guidance. In what way do you mean?
No'Rash says: Regarding the battle. Bolstering our fortitude, what does that mean?
Kalecgos says [common]: Any sorts of magic that would make you more resilient against effects that would try to manipulate you through your constitution. My guess is that the curse in your blood is what you must overcome. However, it could just as easily be something mental as well.

No’Rash contemplates for a moment.

No'Rash says: The fel curse runs strongly through my blood and my body. I have been able to stave off hte full effects for a long time… but… I was able to attack him once… but not beyond that… perhaps it was greater for me.
Kalecgos says [common]: You have a greater presence of the fiendish variety in your body, it seems. So it may be more difficult to overcome.
Nyxxa says [common]: So the further along one is, the harder it may be to face him?
Kalecgos says [common]: It’s possible, yes. I’m not really sure.

Nyxxa nods.

Nyxxa says [common]: They’re at least questions we may be able to ask. It’s a lead at the very least, now that we have some questions we could have confirmed or denied.
Levia Blackflight says [common]: Yeah… the more I’m hearing about this, the more I think I might be in trouble too.
Nyxxa says [common]: What’s the problem?
Levia Blackflight says [common]: The process I went through was a lot like the ones the orcs went through. So… I might be in the same boat as No’Rash here. But… that could also be avoided by me helping in other ways.
Nyxxa says [common]: You can definitely help keep us alive.
Levia Blackflight says [common]: Yeah. That shouldn’t be a problem…
Nyxxa says [common]: And that would be good to have!

Nyxxa laughs nervously.

Nyxxa says [common]: These are things we could ask. The spirits or otherwise.
Go'el says: We could try.

Levia nods.

Levia Blackflight says [common]: Yeah. Right.
Nyxxa says [common]: They’re leads at least. It’s still helpful, Kalec.
Kalecgos says [common]: Of course. It’s an intriguing puzzle. If we had a few years, I could likely get to the bottom of it, but it seems we don’t have that time.
Nyxxa says [common]: Though given this seems to be the method the Legion uses… it seems new. The satyr curse is a bit different, but… were you there during the War of the Ancients?
Kalecgos says [common]: Oh. No. I’m not quite that old.
Nyxxa says [common]: Oh. I guess I’m the oldest person here then. But what I was getting at is that it would be know how to counter this in the future. Especially if they’ve used this on the elves too. They’re not doing what they did during the War of the Ancients.
Kalecgos says [common]: The demons have been doing this for a very long time. I would not be surprised if they had many ways. This route seems to be a less acute transforming. One other things to consider. If the pit lords are the source of the blood curse, slaying him may have ramifications--most immediate and long term. If your people have been addicted to the power that he has granted for several of your mortal generations, removing that strength may have… effects. I can’t stay what they are, but be prepared for that.
No'Rash says: Mannoroth must be destroyed. Even if there’s a cost.

Nyxxa nervously glances over at Arthak.

Kalecgos says [common]: It’s not something that could be dealt with without a great amount of study that’s not in the time table.
Nyxxa says [common]: Well… we’ll keep an eye out.
Kalecgos says [common]: It would be wise for you to extract yourselves quickly afterwards.
Nyxxa says [common]: That is a good idea. For a multitude of reasons. I believe that’s… everything.

Noriyaku nods.

Noriyaku says [common]: You are welcome to stay here if you need to rest.
Azgadaan says [common]: I actually may be able to teleport us elsewhere.
Nyxxa says [common]: I would like to rest here for the night, personally.
Halno says [common]: I’m fine with anything, but I don’t know if she wants me around here.

He points at Tyri. She mutters under her breath.

Tyrygosa says [draconic]: Is it that obvious?
Kalecgos says [common]: Truthfully, the two of us should return and report on what we discovered--and ensure our old arrangements are put in place.
Tyrygosa says [common]: I have a couple of allies that may be able to assist us as well.
Nyxxa says [common]: I wanted to talk to you both about something.
Kalecgos says [common]: We will likely be leaving tomorrow.
Arthak Saurfang says: If we’re planning on making preparations, I wouldn’t mind getting back to Varok’mar. There are things I want to take care of at Hellfire.
Nyxxa says [common]: If we prefer to go, then we can go. But, if I could talk to you two?

Noriyaku stands.

Noriyaku says [common]: In the meantime, I am getting hungry! I’m going to go eat with my children. If you are all hungry, we can catch you some food, we can get you some, though I’m unsure if it will be to your standards.
Azgadaan says [common]: Oh, yes, speaking of food, the dragons elsewhere really enjoyed this.

Azgadaan gets out his alchemy jug and conjures some honey and offers it to her. Nori dabs her pinky in it.

Noriyaku says [common]: This tastes… familiar somehow. It’s very good.

Azgadaan offers the jug to her so she can offer it around to her children, and Nori heads off to the open ledge. Two wings emerge from the back of her dress, and she takes off the side and disappears--a massive pink dragon emerging once more to take to the sky with the alchemy jug in her claws. The other nether dragons take off after her.

Nyxxa turns to Kalec and Tyri.

Nyxxa says [common]: It’s… her, isn’t it?

Kalec and Tyri’s expressions dim.

Kalecgos says [common]: I would calculate a 99.9% chance, yes. It seems the poor dear’s forgotten everything. If she was a red dragon, she doesn’t remember the dragon queen’s name, nor their sacred charge, or anything, unfortunately.
Nyxxa says [common]: Do you suppose she’d want to remember?
Kalecgos says [common]: I don’t think she’d want to. But…
Nyxxa says [common]: It’s coming from someone of my experience… to have strangers come to you and tell you that you had people that once loved you that you can’t remember… it’s assuredly painful. I made a promise to someone that I would find her and tell her he was looking for her, and he wanted to know she was alright… but I’m not sure such a message would do anything but cause her pain.
Kalecgos says [common]: As much as it could, a part of me believes it would be the right thing to do. That life may be behind her, but everyone deserves to know their past. And if we have the capabilities to give her the tools to repair some of that damage, it may be for the best.
Tyrygosa says [common]: For once, I actually disagree. I don’t think we should tell her. Nothing any of her loved ones tell her will bring Noristrasza back. She has a family. She has a mate. Dwelling on the past will just caused unnecessary suffering. I think her time and energy should be spent on the future, not the past.

She switches to draconic.

Tyrygosa says [draconic]: A lesson the blue dragons might learn as well.
Kalecgos says [draconic]: That… is neither here nor there, Tyri.
Halno says [common]: Shouldn’t that be her choice?

Tyri chuffs.

Tyrygosa says [common]: A shockingly heroic notion, but you all know she’s far too curious and will want to follow through. You’ll be making this decision one way or another. She’s a sweet girl that doesn’t deserve that pain, but there are points to what Kalec said as well.
Kalecgos says [common]: And there are points to what Tyri said as well. We will be leaving this to you. You made a promise to your companion. You can tell him you found her alive but she’ll never be the same, or you can let her reach out.
Nyxxa says [common]: So she is the type to be curious if I say anything?
Kalecgos says [common]: Yes. She’s curious, and she’s keen. She may already suspect it, but I don’t think she would ask unless you brought it to her.
Nyxxa says [common]: I know what you’re saying is… I’ve been there before. I know you’re right, but I also don’t like lying… what do you all think?
Azgadaan says [common]: I think we should preface it may be very painful. Especially if we can maybe bring those memories back.
Kalecgos says [common]: I actually don’t think that’s possible. We could tell her what we know, and she can seek out answers on her own.
Nyxxa says [common]: It’s likely what memories we can bring back would be what Sinestra did to her…

No’Rash muses.

Go'el says: I believe there’s much to know for knowing our pasts, even if it’s difficult and painful.

He glances at Nyxxa.

Go'el says: If you had the ability to learn of the things you have forgotten, and you were in her position, what would you want?
Levia Blackflight says [common]: I don’t think that’s fair, Go’el. This is a bit different. And honestly, if I could forget some of my history, I wouldn’t be upset. I think Tyri is right. She has a new life.
Halno says [common]: Some people forget things on purpose.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yes. We do.
Go'el says: This is a unique situation. One where my wisdom is limited. My past has made me stronger. It may not be the case for everyone, but it could also.

The majority, however, seems to be in favor of telling her.

Tyrygosa says [common]: I suppose you’ll have the opportunity to do so once she’s finished with her family.
Nyxxa says [common]: I suppose I’m torn on this… I guess I was glad to learn I had a wife and child at the very least.

No’Rash cocks an eyebrow at her.

Azgadaan says [common]: Huh.
Nyxxa says [common]: It was something that was done to hurt me… but I don’t think I regret knowing. I don’t think we should baby her either.
No'rash says: All we can do with facts is judge for ourselves what they mean. By not telling her, we are denying her that chance.
Nyxxa says [common]: And I suppose the least I can do is ensure she learns it in a better way than I did.
No'Rash says: Of course. I’m not saying she should suffer more than needed.
Nyxxa says [common]: I can break it to her gently.
Tyrygosa says [common]: If you don’t mind, demon, I would like to be there as well. In case things go poorly.
No'Rash says: If you need… I can be there for you as well?
Nyxxa says [common]: I wouldn’t want to overwhelm her. And I will be okay.
No'Rash says: As you say.
Nyxxa says [common]: I’m gonna try to do this as best as I can.
Azgadaan says [common]: I believe in you. You can do this, Nyxxa.

Go’el is looking at Nyxxa incredibly sadly.

Nyxxa says [common]: For what it’s worth, I’m sorry I didn’t tell all of you earlier. There was just never the right time.
Azgadaan says [common]: It's fine. That’s personal. And close.
No'Rash says: Your past is your past, and it only belongs to you.
Nyxxa says [common]: The gods seem keen on making me face my past. Thank you all. I’m grateful for all of you.

She had started to tear up.

No'Rash says: Be grateful for yourself.

No’Rash gives her a gentle pat on the back.

No'Rash says: I suppose I will sequester for a bit.

No’Rash opts to go out onto the ledge and look into the shifting skies over Outland. He could see Tempest Keep in the distance--which seemingly had re-emerged when Draenor shattered. Meanwhile, Nyxxa and Tyri go out to watch Noriyaku playing with Mordenaku.

Tyrygosa says [common]: She seems happy, doesn’t she?
Nyxxa says [common]: She does.
Tyrygosa says [common]: I’m not going to let anything interfere with that happiness. I hope you’re making the right choice.
Nyxxa says [common]: I hope so too. But at the same time… sometimes the best thing you can do is say something painful. Burying it under happiness is… well… I understand your intentions are good.

Tyri crosses her arms and chuffs.

Tyrygosa says [common]: It’s not like I need a lecture from you, demon.
Nyxxa says [common]: I know. But better someone like us tell her, rather than Sinestra using it to taunt her.

Up above, Mordenaku is wrestling with five whelps hanging onto various parts of his body. He makes a mock sound of pain, and dives into one of the crystals--disappearing into it and making a sound that was kind of similar to a mountain crashing. Then he lands on the ground, being dramatic as he lets the young ones overtake him in victory.

Noriyaku laughs, snatching a whelp off Mordenaku..

Noriyaku says [draconic]: Alright, young ones. Get back to your mothers. I’m sure uncle Morden will play with you all night if he had the opportunity.

The whelps seem to moan in disappointment, but fly off. Nori watches them go off and then looks down at her son.

Noriyaku says [draconic]: Are you alright, my son? It seems they did quite a number on you.
Mordenaku says [draconic]: I never thought I would escape from them!
Noriyaku says [draconic]: You will be a great father someday.
Mordenaku says [draconic]: Mother! I’m--

He looks bashful, and then notices Nyxxa and Tyri.

Mordenaku says [draconic]: Oh, hello!
Nyxxa says [draconic]: We would like to speak to you, Noriyaku.
Noriyaku says [draconic]: Of course.
Mordenaku says [draconic]: I should get going then!

Mordenaku takes the distraction to take off, and Nori approaches Nyxxa and Tyri--shifting back into her humanoid form.

Nyxxa says [common]: He’s a good son.
Noriyaku says [common]: He is. He’s very protective of me. Has been since he hatched and he was the size of those young ones.
Nyxxa says [common]: You raised him very well.
Noriyaku says [common]: Thank you, Nyxxa. They do grow up so fast!

Tyri blinks, fully absorbing the literal truth of that statement.

Tyrygosa says [common]: I do hope to become a mother someday myself.
Noriyaku says [common]: I do believe you’ll be a wonderful mother!
Tyrygosa says [common]: That’s not what we came to talk about!
Nyxxa says [common]: Noriyaku… I have a question for you.
Noriyaku says [common]: Of course!
Nyxxa says [common]: If, by some chance, if you had the opportunity to learn about your past before this all happened, would you want to know?
Noriyaku says [common]: What a strange question.
Nyxxa says [common]: I ask because I’m in a similar situation. I had a life before this… and as I’ve traveled, I’ve been given glimpses into my old life as temptations and promises…
Noriyaku says [common]: I don’t believe you’d be coming to me for advice. Especially with how naive I am of the world. Are you asking me because you know something about my life before I remembered?

Nyxxa takes a deep breath.

Nyxxa says [common]: I do.

Nori looks over at Tyri.

Noriyaku says [common]: You and Kalec knew as well.
Tyrygosa says [common]: Because Nyxxa told us, yes.
Noriyaku says [common]: It’s strange… not having any knowledge of my life before, but I knew I had to have something. After all, I did not hatch from an egg. I did not remember my name, but I remembered my mate and I remembered Sinestra. So I knew there was something I forgot. I assumed it was gone and lost. But you said you knew something about my life before.
Nyxxa says [common]: Only a few things.
Noriyaku says [common]: What do you know?
Nyxxa says [common]: All I know is your name was Noristrasza and that someone that cared about you a lot asked me to look for you, because he wanted to know if you were okay.
Noriyaku says [common]: That was very kind of him. Noristrasza? So… does that mean I was a red dragon then?

Tyri nods.

Noriyaku says [common]: I suppose that makes sense as to why Kalec was asking me if I knew the name Alexstrasza. At least, that was what he seemed to be getting at. He is poor at concealing his emotions. I don’t know what to tell this… old friend. I don’t believe I’m the person he remembers. I would not want to disappoint him, as I am not Noristrasza any longer. But if you think he would want to know that I survived, then I suppose that would be good to know.
Nyxxa says [common]: I understand that. If that is what you wish, then I will let him know. Perhaps it will be enough to know that you’re okay.
Noriyaku says [common]: I suppose that is likely the same for my Barthamus. So my children are likely related to the dragons of Azeroth. So I have a request for either of you… whoever is better to facilitate this.
Nyxxa says [common]: If it has to do with dragons, likely Tyri.
Noriyaku says [common]: Very well then. Miss Tyri. Once we have rescued the rest of my family, would it be alright if some of my children went back to your Azeroth? I would like to someday meet some of these other dragons. I think it would be good for them to see them. To bring what knowledge they have to us so we can thrive like they have.

Tyri smiles softly.

Tyrygosa says [common]: To be frank, Noriyaku, I think the dragons of Azeroth would have more to learn from you than you would from us.
Noriyaku says [common]: I don’t think that’s the case, Miss Tyri.

Tyri laughs.

Tyrygosa says [common]: You might be surprised. But yes, under one condition. Would you be alright if I stay here with you? I want to help your flight as well. So if some of yours return to Azeroth, I can stay here, and all of our flights will grow stronger for it. How does that sound?

Nori’s eyes sparkle.

Noriyaku says [common]: I would love that! You’re so wise and beautiful! You have so much to teach us!

Tyri puffs up a bit.

Tyrygosa says [common]: Well, you don’t need to compliment me, but I do appreciate it. And it’s the least I can do for the kindness you have shown me.

Nyxxa grins, and Nori looks at her.

Noriyaku says [common]: Someday, perhaps, I’ll be able to find this friend. What is his name?
Nyxxa says [common]: Gilveradin Windrunner.

Nori nods.

Noriyaku says [common]: I’ll keep the name in mind. Perhaps someday I can apologize for worrying him.
Nyxxa says [common]: You have nothing to apologize for. That was clearly the dread wyrm’s fault.

Nori nods.

Noriyaku says [common]: Perhaps you are right.
Nyxxa says [common]: But I suppose in your circumstances, I have said similar things… so maybe I should reflect on that as well. You’re a lot stronger than I am, Noriyaku.
Noriyaku says [common]: You are kind to say so, Nyxxa, but I believe you underestimate yourself. You’ve saved many lives. That is telling of your strength.
Nyxxa says [common]: I was talking strength of spirit. But thank you. I was happy I was able to meet you.
Noriyaku says [common]: And I you! I hope this is not the last time we’ll cross paths--the battle not withstanding.
Nyxxa says [common]: Though we may not have time to chat. And thank you for listening.
Noriyaku says [common]: And thank you for sharing. That was very brave. I hope you know, Nyxxa, that despite the fact I didn’t know you before, the person I met here has been strong and good. And I know that without knowing your past.
Nyxxa says [common]: I don’t think you’re a good person. But I do what I can. I just show kindness when I get the opportunity to. And I relish that chance.
Noriyaku says [common]: I think that makes a good person, Nyxxa.

Nori approaches and hugs Nyxxa.

Nyxxa says [common]: Other satyrs are not like me. But they may act like it to exploit you. So I don’t want to set the wrong impression.
Noriyaku says [common]: I’ll be sure to pin them to the earth first and ask what their intentions are.
Nyxxa says [common]: Perhaps singe them a bit to be sure.
Noriyaku says [common]: Perhaps I will.

Nori bids Nyxxa safe travels before taking off again.

Tyrygosa says [common]: That went better than I expected.
Nyxxa says [common]: I think she’s stronger than we gave her credit for.
Tyrygosa says [common]: She’s far wiser. I think if someone told me that, I would tried to eat them alive.
Nyxxa says [common]: I would have cried.

Tyri chuffs.

Tyrygosa says [common]: You’re such a strange demon.

Nyxxa asks Tyri if Khadgar knew about all of this, and Tyri confirms--though he was one of the few that did and she and Kalec would like to keep it that way. However, she also warns Nyxxa not to let Khadgar fool her, as he didn’t know everything.

Meanwhile, two dragonspawn return to Azgadaan with his alchemy jug. Apparently they had heard of the “honeybringer” and they were in no small amount of awe.

The group reconvenes and Azgadaan casts [Teleport] to carry them back to Varok’mar. There are some shouts of panic and confusion in orcish, but then they recognize who had appeared. A few people breathe in relief.

Mother Kaza says: Quit your bitching! It’s just the chieftain and his warband again!

Mother Kaza starts to make her way towards the group.

Mother Kaza says: Well? What do you want? What are you here for? What do you need?
Azgadaan says: We’re just dropping off Arthak. And we want to put a potion order in--
Mother Kaza says: Yeah yeah, you’re always bossing me around! Make your own damn potions for once! But fine, I can whip something up for you.
Azgadaan says: Thank you.
Mother Kaza says: What!?

She cups her ear.

Azgadaan says: Thank you Mother Kaza.

Kaza chuffs and then stalks away muttering.

Mother Kaza says: I heard him the first time but I wanted to hear it again.

However, as she heads off, four young orcs surround her, their weapons drawn.

Broken Blade Orc says: Get back, Mother Kaza, this one is trouble.

They are staring at No’Rash.

Nyxxa says: This one is with us. In our custody.

No’Rash looks at the younger orcs.

No'Rash says: Are you sure this is how you want to play it? If you know the trouble I can cause, I do not know why you wish to have that trouble unleashed upon you--and so soon before the coming battle.

The orcs shift their stances.

Broken Blade Orc says: I’ve heard of the devastation you wrought. I won’t be intimidated by you!
Arthak Saurfang says: Then how about by me?

Arthak steps forward.

Broken Blade Orc says: C-chieftain!

Arthak gestures to Nyxxa with a thumb.

Arthak Saurfang says: You heard what she said. Blades down, or I’ll put them down for you.

The orcs look at No’Rash, then at Arthak. They look like they’re about to say something, but then stop and storm off. Other orcs seem to have recognized No’Rash and are shooting him dirty looks.

Nyxxa says: They were just trying to protect Mother Kaza.
Mother Kaza says: Oh yes, I’m very popular with the young men around here.
Nyxxa says: Of course.

Kaza waddles over to No’Rash and grabs his beard. She tugs it so he bends down. One of her eyes is slightly lazy, but she looks at him closer.

Mother Kaza says: You’re not so scary. You’re pretty handsome too!

She lets go of his beard.

No'Rash says: That… would be a first.
Mother Kaza says: Where did you find this one, chieftain?
Arthak Saurfang says: Around.
Mother Kaza says: Very well, keep your secrets. You know where you can find things to restock if you need.

Arthak informs the group he’s going to be heading out, and he tells them he will send them when he gets there, and when he’s heading back. He also informs No’Rash that if he doesn’t get his shit together by the time he’s back, they will be having another talk.

Azuka gives Arthak a salute, and he returns it before patting her on the head.

Arthak Saurfang says: Until I return, Azuka, you are in charge.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: Wait, what?

Ignoring the statement, Arthak heads off.

After a bit, No’Rash approaches Go’el--using his club as a walking stick.

No'Rash says: We haven’t spoken much since we came back.
Go'el says: Things have been busy.
No'Rash says: Yes. And difficult. I have to admit something about… Garadar. I know there are people there who I have hurt in my past, and I am afraid to face them once again. I know that is shameful, but is also true.
Go'el says: There are only two paths you can take, No’Rash. Forward, or back. It’s how I’ve gotten this far.
No'Rash says: Ever since you were a boy you’ve found a way to move forward.
Go'el says: And you will need to do the same. The things we are trying to do cannot be done unless we keep moving forward. I understand your fear. I understand the dread of facing someone you failed, and the pain and loss. But we don’t get to hide. We don’t get to turn away from our fears. Arthak showed me that.
No'Rash says: He has grown wise in such a short time. It is encouraging. Inspiring even.
Go'el says: You were gone, No’Rash. I believed you dead. I helped you as much as you helped me.
No'Rash says: True. I was not there for you during your greatest hardships. In getting to know Arthak...and young Azuka, it reminded me of what it is to be in a clan again. It also reminded me of what I have been running from. That has brought me to a place of despair. Yet, events of the last few days, it’s given me time to consider… I’ve not been fair to Azuka or Arthak, nor have I been fair to you.
Go'el says: So, what will you do? Now that you have this wisdom. What will you do?
No'Rash says: I sense a weight heavy on my heart, Go’el. I will not suddenly change. But… I believe that perhaps I owe it to you and everyone else to make room in my heart for other things besides grief.
Go'el says: Then that is what we will focus on. In this moment of calm before the storm. When we return to Garadar. We will go to the Throne of the Elements. And perhaps, if we are lucky, where those steps must be will be revealed to you.
No'Rash says: And even if they are not, and we fail, and the spirits do not grant the assistance we wish to seek, we will do so together. And for that, I am grateful.

Go’el nods.

Go'el says: That first step is the hardest.
No'Rash says: Especially when you have made it countless times over.

Go’el nods and they sit in silence for a bit before No’Rash heads off to find Nyxxa. He greets her and they chat for a bit with pleasantries.

No'Rash says: You have a knack for making friends everywhere.
Nyxxa says: I can only hope. Things are gonna be a mess when this goes down. But… I imagine Argus was a lot?
No'Rash says: When you first began telling me of the size and scope of the Legion, it was difficult to imagine. But in seeing the homeworld of the Legion.... It was both illuminating and terrifying.
Nyxxa says: It’s different to be told something, and to see it with your own eyes. It’s a lot to take in, especially since… well, I’ve been exposed to it several times and I’m still not used to it. That’s a lot for a person…
No'Rash says: I felt on edge. Not just because I was surrounded by demons, but like the fel blood makes me sensitized to these things as well…
Nyxxa says: So the effect of the fel on you makes it easier for you to find creatures tied to the fel?
No'Rash says: I learned how to track them. It was different than tracking a beast. But on Argus, those senses were going off everywhere. It was hard to focus.
Nyxxa says: I can imagine that would be hard. On top of everything else. My own senses can be overwhelmed too. I can focus my sight to see magic, but if I do that in areas of intense magic it can become painful.
No'Rash says: What does it feel like? The pain?
Nyxxa says: Like… hm… I imagine it’s similar to how a bag might feel if it’s forced to hold too much. Its insides push out… it’s not drowning, but it’s too much.
No'Rash says: When you don’t want to feel it, that must be particularly intense.
Nyxxa says: Yes. Has it lingered after you left?
No'Rash says: No. As soon as I stepped off the world, it faded. What happened after we came back was more difficult.
Nyxxa says: What happened?

No’Rash sighs.

Nyxxa says: Are you referring to the fight? I don’t know what happened exactly.
No'Rash says: It is no secret, if you wish to know.
Nyxxa says: I think I do. Perhaps you might want to talk about it?
No'Rash says: I told you before--at least to some extent--why I left the Frostwolves.The hunter Sadras…
Nyxxa says: She is my friend.
No'Rash says: Not surprising, knowing you. She and I were from the same clan, and we were very close. She referred to me as her uncle. Called me Uncle Rashy even…

Nyxxa chuckles.

No'Rash says: I was there when she was born. I was there when she first met Summerpaw. Many experiences that she had, I shared. Despite our closeness and love and care, the fel does not pick and choose who I turn on when the heat of battle is on me. You’ve seen what happens.

Nyxxa nods.

No'Rash says: You have not seen the worst of it. I will attack anyone and anything that is in my way. And on one hunt, Sadras and I were in the Frostfire Ridge, and we tried to protect each other. Though we drove the beasts away, I went after her.
Nyxxa says: Oh. I see.
No'Rash says: She had the same look as the draenei I slaughtered so long ago… the same look of fear, and the same realization of what I was in that moment.

His voice starts to crack. Nyxxa puts a hand on his shoulder.

No'Rash says: Go’el decided not to banish me. He said I needed help. I could not believe it, or accept it. I did not want to hurt Sadras or anyone in my clan. So I left. Since then, I have sought my death. Not for honor or glory, but because I felt it was the only way that could pay for my sins. Arthak confronted me about it. To my greater surprise, so did Azuka.
Nyxxa says: So that’s what that was about.
No'Rash says: Yes. In truth, I still do not feel I deserve that redemption or solace, or the care of all of you. Perhaps it doesn’t matter what I think. I’m just some old, clanless orc. It is not for me to worry about what I want. The only thing I have to worry about is what I must give back. I think that’s what I’m starting to realize.

Nyxxa nods.

Nyxxa says: I understand why you might be hard on yourself given everything that happened. And to be frank, I did something similar once. To someone I care for. No one here.
No'Rash says: Your family?
Nyxxa says: No. I don’t think I saw my family after I became a demon. They probably think I’m dead. That’s… complicated. But after being a demon for a long time, I found another demon like me. We found comfort in each other. But our demonic urges got the better of me, and I attacked her. I would have succeeded in killing her had she not killed me first. That’s why I became this.

She points at her blindfold.

Nyxxa says: I knew I had to get control. But even then, I felt I deserved to die for everything I had done. But… I suppose I’ll ask you a question, No’Rash, one that I came to ask myself recently. If Azuka or someone her age came to you and told you the same story you told me, what would you tell her? Would you be as hard on her as you are to yourself?

No’Rash breaks eye contact and lowers his hood.

No'Rash says: We judge others not by what we see, but what we do. I could tell someone that age whether or not I approved… but I suppose, no, I would not be as hard on someone else. Why do you ask?
Nyxxa says: I think what I realized is that when facing the evils we’ve committed, we forget we’re people, and we make mistakes like everyone else. While we need to attone for what we’ve done, making mistakes are inevitable.
No'Rash says: When I was younger, at least at the beginning, I took the fel into myself willingly. I agreed during the war with the draenei to the the experiment done, and I did not consider the cost. The cost was Sadras and my clan.
Nyxxa says: You couldn’t have known though. It’s easy to be hard on yourself for what you know now.
No'Rash says: I did not know my future would transpire. Sadras was not even born. But there was a part of me that knew it was wrong. When I returned to my people, I was no longer needed in the war. I lied to Durotan. I told him I was forced. That the war required me to take the fel. So I was not banished. The only price I had to pay was my chieftain and friend’s trust, and then the cost came later.
Nyxxa says: Well… now you’re a person that reflects on it. And now understands and wants to do right by it. I was once told by a friend that as long as someone wishes to do better, then they can. It’s not what you did back then, it’s what you do now.

No’Rash places his hand on Nyxxa’s.

No'Rash says: I suppose I owe you all that much.
Nyxxa says: When it’s hard to move forward for yourself, you can always have others to look towards. Make the world better for them. I believe in you, No’Rash. You’ve made mistakes in the past, but I know you’re trying, and I think that’s enough. Honestly? Gods, spirits, ancestors, they’re the ones that will decide which sins we have to pay for, and they’ll present our reckoning. We don’t need to think about those things except if we need to reflect. Focus on what you can do. Not what you think you need to.

No’Rash nods slowly.

No'Rash says: Suppose I’m not the only wise ass in the group.
Nyxxa says: I am 10,000 years old. Suppose it’s good for some things.
No'Rash says: Were I to reach that age, I hope to be as wise.

Nyxxa blushes. No’Rash gets to his feet.

Nyxxa says: You should talk to Azuka though.
No'Rash says: It’s on the list. But first I must lay myself before the judgement of the spirits when we go to Garadar. Besides… though I know she has had a difficult life, she can understand this for a bit longer.
Nyxxa says: She is allowed to be mad at you! But she’ll understand more in time.
No'Rash says: If not, then it’s another price I must pay for being who I am. I will leave you for the evening.
Nyxxa says: Thanks for coming to me with it.
No'Rash says: Thanks for lending an ear.
Nyxxa says: I have big ones!
No'Rash says: I suppose you must take the time to brag! But I will leave with this: it’s not shameful to seek the things you want for yourself in other people.

They bid good night and No’Rash shambles off. Nyxxa messages Altruis to tell him the battle will be coming soon.

Outland Day 49

The next day, the group (sans Arthak) teleports to Garadar to work on some projects and research, which they opt to stay for a bit preparing. Halno completely dissects the notes he had gotten from the necromancer at Kirin’Var, while Nyxxa and Azgadaan work on their various magic items.

As they arrive in Garadar, No’Rash is in awe as he takes in the small village atop of a massive floating earth mote.

Go'el says: We’re here. That magic is useful, Azgadaan. Thank you.
Azgadaan says: That spell is coming in handy.
No'Rash says: It is much appreciated.

No’Rash slowly gets down to one knee and puts a hand on the earth to see what it feels like. It feels fertile.

No'Rash says: The earth finds a way…
Go'el says: Lets head in. I’ll let Kroll know we’ll be staying here a few days.
No'Rash says: I hope I will be welcome here.
Nyxxa says: You’re kind of stuck with us.

Go’el nods with a smile. They head into a small crowd that is finishing up a communal breakfast, and No’Rash makes note of several broken draenei. Almost all the orcs here are mag’har. And then they hear a piercing, loud shout in orcish.

Geya'rah says: DAD!

Go’el ducks down and holds his arms out to greet his daughter.

Go'el says: Geya’rah! It’s good to see you again. You’ve been doing well? No trouble? No breaking your curfew?

Geya shakes her head.

Geya'rah says: Nope! I’ve been good, I promise. And I made sure Dornaa didn’t get into trouble either!

Dornaa, a non-broken draenei, starts to approach as well.

Dornaa says: It’s good to see you all!
Azgadaan says: You as well. Did you get an inch taller again?
Dornaa says: I’m not sure. I’ve been too busy doing chores and being grounded… did I get taller?! Geya am I taller!?
Geya'rah says: I don’t know. Lets go measure!

Geya says goodbye to her dad and they hurry off to a totem to measure themselves. Go’el chuckles.

Go'el says: That is Geya’rah. My daughter.
No'Rash says: Have her the same pretty blues I see.
Go'el says: She’s got a strong heart. I couldn’t be more proud of her, even if she’s as stubborn as my mother was.
No'Rash says: That she was. We will have to get acquainted at some point.

Nyxxa had already found Kroll and was giving him a hug. He’s laughing and patting Nyxxa on the back before he looks over to everyone and greets everyone else, including Halno, jovially. Halno immediately starts going into a tirade catching up with his cousin.

No’Rash’s eyes immediately go to Lokra, Sadras’s mother, as he recognizes her. She looks at him, her arms crossed.

Lokra says: Well well well. I knew that Nagrand was a land where the spirits walked among orcs. But I didn’t expect to see a dead man walking into Garadar.
No'Rash says: Stranger things have happened since the sundering of the world.
Go'el says: Aunt Lokra, I can--

Lokra raises a hand.

Lokra says: He’ll speak for himself, Go’el.

Go’el nods and steps back.

No'Rash says: I’m not dead yet.
Lokra says: Give me one reason why I should not remedy that. It’s a long fall.

No’Rash looks back towards the edge.

No'Rash says: Wouldn’t be the first time you’d best me. Not that I have much reason to fight back. But it makes me wonder why you didn’t take the chance all those years ago.

Lokra tilts her head to the side.

Lokra says: Why do you think so, elder? What would you have done?
No'Rash says: Not for me to say. I was the vanguard. For me to say what I would have done is unbecoming, and undeserving. But, that’s why I am here. Perhaps it is the time to seek the judgement of the spirits and the ancestors. If you will be the one to carry it out, then that’s how it is--my old friend.
Lokra says: You dare to call me friend? After you nearly slew my only daughter.

Lokra’s eyes burn, and her fingertips steam as molten magma forms in her hand.

Lokra says: You dare to seek the judgement of the spirits after all this?

She hurls her hand back, but another voice chimes in.

Karg Bloodfury says: Bury me in a snowdrift, is that you No’Rash?!

The lava lobs forward, and singes some of No’Rash’s hair and face. It slams into a rock behind him and melts part of the rock before it hardens.

Lokra says: You’re as pathetic as you were when you left us, No’Rash. But… Garadar is a home for outcasts. Even those too consumed by their own grief to understand how to make amends for their own sins. Besides. Your life is not mine to take. That honor should go to Sadras.

Lokra turns and walks away, revealing her mate--Karg--being pushed in a wooden chair. The right side of his body has severe burn scars, and his hair and right eye and ear are also gone. However, he’s smiling.

Karg Bloodfury says: Holy fuck. You’re still alive! You look like shit, and that’s saying something coming from me!
No'Rash says: True. I don’t look as good in black and red.

The chair is being pushed by Palkar, who looks at No’Rash for a moment before looking away.

No'Rash says: For what it’s worth, I’m glad that half of you is still here.
Karg Bloodfury says: That makes two of us! And that’s for the best. Wouldn’t do good for an orc with my looks wandering around. I am a mated man, after all. Gotta give the other lads a shot. It’s good to see you. I know things were dicey when you left, and my mate isn’t keen on what happened, but…
No'Rash says: She has a right to be, as does her daughter.
Karg Bloodfury says: Yeah. They do. But we all made mistakes. Back then. Now. Today. Tomorrow. Yesterday. The fact you’re here means you’re willing to face them one way or another.
No'Rash says: Perhaps not by being melted to a pulp.
Karg Bloodfury says: Don’t recommend it.
No'Rash says: Don’t think I’d smell very good, and I already smell like shit.

No’Rash looks at Palkar.

No'Rash says: Last I saw you, you were still training under our mentor.
Palkar says: A lot has changed.
No'Rash says: Yes. Some of that we bring upon ourselves.

He removes his blindfold and holds it out.

No'Rash says: This was given to me as a gift, but what was given to me is for me to pass on…
Palkar says: That isn’t for me to carry. I wasn’t Drek’Thar’s only student, and I’m better suited for a supporting role. If Go’el saw fit to give that to you, then I won’t refute that. It’s not my place to do so. Keep it. His spirit will need to guide you more than it will need to guide me.
No'Rash says: I only hope I still have the sight for it.

He puts the blindfold back on.

No'Rash says: I suppose you are all wondering why we’ve come?
Karg Bloodfury says: Not really, no. You’re welcome here, and you got your own business.
Go'el says: Carefree as ever, Karg.
Karg Bloodfury says: Someone gotta keep the spirits up! Especially since Arthak isn’t here, you’re probably up to something, right? Though it may be for the best he didn’t show up after last time. I suppose Sadras is off doing something?

Nyxxa nods.

Karg Bloodfury says: Just like her. I’ll catch up with her later, it’s fine. But I can give you a tour if Palkar don’t mind being my wheels.
Palkar says: Of course, Karg, that’s not a problem.

Karg shows No’Rash around and Go’el accompanies them. One of the younger orcs who is sparring sees them, and then stops.

Durak says: Chieftain?

The orc that he was sparring with him looks at him.

Young Garadar Orc says: Eyes on the prize, Durak.
Durak says: I’m taking a second.

He goes over to the group and checks in with his father, and then looks at No’Rash.

Durak says: Who are you?
No'Rash says: No’Rash.
Durak says: Oh. I heard about you. You protected my grandsire and great grandsire, and then you almost killed Sadras, right?
No'Rash says: Right. That… is me.
Durak says: You didn’t come back to finish the job, did you?

Go’el jabs him upside the head.

Go'el says: Durak! Respect your elders!
Durak says: Sorry. A little tense…
No'Rash says: It’s not a big deal. One little jest is, well, easier to shrug off than others.

No’Rash holds his hand out for Durak’s weapon.

No'Rash says: May I?

Durak shrugs and hands over his axe, and No’Rash gives it an experimental swing.

No'Rash says: Good weapon. How's your reach?
Durak says: Good enough.
No'Rash says: Hm.

He hands the axe back over.

No'Rash says: I first started using axes. Reach was easier for me. Little taller. But it was the footwork that was difficult. For some reason, a club seemed to work better.
Durak says: ...Yeah. I think only a mountain like you can use that. That thing is fit more for an ogre.
No'Rash says: I suppose I’m not far off.

Azuka mutters something under her breath from behind him.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: Yeah, and he’s not much further behind.

She was referencing Durak. Durak glances at her.

Durak says: I didn’t hear you. You’ll have to speak up.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: I said that was a clumsy fumble. You still don’t know how to fight.

Durak snarls at her.

Durak says: What the fuck do you know about it?
Azuka Stormbreaker says: More than you.

Go’el steps in.

Go'el says: If the two of you are going to fight, Azuka why don’t you join their exercises. Your unique skills may show them something.

Azuka looks at Go’el and there’s a hint of a grin.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: Okay.

She approaches the other orc and shoves him aside.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: My turn.

She brings her sword into a reverse grip as she turns towards Durak and gestures for him to come for her.

Durak says: Alright. Fine.

The two start to spar and No’Rash crosses his arms with a sigh.

No'Rash says: He’s going to overextend, isn’t he?
Go'el says: I wouldn’t be surprised if they both do.
Nyxxa says: They’ll sleep well tonight then.

They continue heading towards the other edge of the earth mote, and No’Rash starts to recognize the statues around the perimeter of the mote are of orcs. Karg pauses.

Go'el says: No’Rash, I’d like to introduce you to someone. And the rest of you.

He puts a hand on a statue of an orc woman with a high ponytail.

Go'el says: This is Aggralan. My mate and Durak and Geya’rah’s mother.

He gives the statue a sad smile. Two older frost wolves are also napping nearby--likely Go’el’s and Aggralan’s. Their eyes open in acknowledgement.

Go'el says: She was one of the many who gave their lives to protect Garadar. Had they not, the island may have sunk into the lake below us. While some may have survived, we would have lost many. It was by their power that they were lifted above the shattering of the earth and spared.
No'Rash says: Indeed… The cost may have been great, but what she achieved was greater.
Go'el says: And she didn’t do it alone.

He gestures to other statues, including one of Greatmother Geyah. No’Rash gets down on one knee to show reverence for them. He mutters a prayer.

No: Were I able to be in your presence once again, Greatmother.

He rises again.

Outland Day 50 - Outland Day 51

The group gathers together and starts to use [Commune] over the next few days to maybe get some answers. They decide to coordinate with multiple sources.

Cn the blood curse that prevents attacks against Mannoroth be listed?
Yes, but only by killing him.
Is the curse more severe for those touched deeper by the fel?
The spirits didn’t know, but whatever Levia communes with says that fiends touched by the demon blood would have a worse time, but is unsure about full demons.
Is overcoming the curse a trial of the body or the mind?
The Light does not know, but the spirits believe it to be relevant to the body.
Would remove curse suppress the effect?
The spirits are unsure, but the Light source says no.

Meanwhile, Azgadaan starts to probe questions with his own version of commune. He specifically asks if the entity he is communing with is Sargeras. He gets an answer of no, which feels like his body temperature drops as if he was in the vacuum of space.

Are you a being of chaos?
He gets a yes.

He informs Nyxxa and Levia that he thinks he is communing with a demon.

Nyxxa says: Are you going to keep talking to the demon?
Azgadaan says: Uh. Maybe? Yes?
Levia Blackflight says: That sounds like a terrible idea. But I support it as long as you don’t get yourself killed.
Nyxxa says: I would be cautious in taking… just be careful.

The next day he asks three more questions.

Do I know you?
He gets both a yes and a no.
Are you the one that’s been facilitating my new abilities in the past month?
He gets a yes.
Do you have my best interests at heart?
He gets a yes.
