Adept: Way of Shadow
Original Source: Player's Handbook
Monks of the Way of Shadow follow a tradition that values stealth and subterfuge. These monks might be called ninjas or shadowdancers, and they serve as spies and assassins. Sometimes the members of a ninja monastery are family members, forming a clan sworn to secrecy about their arts and missions. Other monasteries are more like thieves' guilds, hiring out their services to nobles, rich merchants, or anyone else who can pay their fees. Regardless of their methods, the heads of these monasteries expect the unquestioning obedience of their students.
Shadow Arts

You may cast these spells at a higher level by spending 1 additional focus per level. You may cast them at 2nd level when you reach 5th level, 3rd level when you reach 9th level, 4th when you reach 13th level, and 5th when you reach 17th level. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Eyes of Shadow
3rd-level Way of Shadow feature
You have trained your eyesight to work in even the darkest shadows. You gain darkvision to a range of 120 feet. If you already have darkvision from another source, its range increases by 90 feet. You can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, in your darkvision.

Greater Shadow Arts

You may spend 3 focus to cast invisibility on yourself without providing material components. You may also cast shadow blade at 2nd level for 3 focus, or at 3rd level for 4 focus. Additionally, when you use your Shadow Step, you can spend 1 focus to remove the requirement that you must start and end in Dim Light or Darkness for that use of the feature. As part of this Bonus Action, you can make an Unarmed Strike immediately after the teleportation.
Master of Shadow
17th-level Way of Shadow feature
As a Bonus Action while entirely within Dim Light or Darkness, you can spend 3 focus to shroud yourself with magical darkness for 1 minute, until you have the Incapacitated condition, or until you end your turn in Bright Light. While shrouded in darkness, you gain the following benefits:
- Invisibility. You have the Invisible condition.
- Partially Incorporeal. You can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain, but you take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside a creature on an object.
- Shadow Flurry. You can use your Flurry of Blows without spending focus.
