Circle of Blight Spells
You have an intrinsic link with the inevitable death of all things that live. This link grants you access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of Blight Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Druid Level | Spells |
---|---|
2nd | arms of hadar, inflict wounds, sapping sting |
3rd | blindness/deafness, silence |
5th | spirit shroud, vampiric touch |
7th | blight, shadow of moil |
9th | destructive wave, enervation |
Defile Ground
You can use a Bonus Action and expend a Wild Shape to corrupt a patch of land or an area of water in a 10-foot radius centered on a point within 60 feet of you, or on yourself. When you use your Wild Shape to transform or conjure a creature, you may activate this ability as a part of the same action, but you must center the point on yourself or one of the summoned creatures. This corruption lasts for 1 minute, until your Wild Shape ends, or until the creature it is centered on drops to 0 hit points.
The corrupted area is difficult terrain for creatures that are hostile to you. Additionally, when a creature in the area takes damage from an attack or spell for the first time on a turn, it takes an extra 1d4 necrotic damage. If you targeted an area, you can move this patch of corruption up to 30 feet as a bonus action. If the corruption is centered on you or another creature, it moves with the creature it is centered on.
Starting at 10th level, the area of your defiled ground increases to a 20-foot radius. Additionally, the extra damage dealt by your defiled ground increases to 1d6 when you reach 10th level in this class, and 1d8 at 14th level.
Blighted Shape
Your physical form begins to show effects of the corruption you wield, tracing blackened veins across your skin, producing gnarled, bony protrusions, or other eerie phenomena. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill.
Additionally, while you are transformed by your Wild Shape, you gain the following benefits:
- Blight Armor. While in a wild shape, your armor class equals 14 + ¼ your druid level (rounded down).
- Blight Spines. If a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, the creature takes the necrotic damage from your Defile Ground ability.
- Blighted Casting. You can cast spells that deal necrotic damage, even if they have a range other than Self or Touch.
- Blighted Resilience. When you would gain a temporary hit points from assuming a wild shape, you gain twice as many temporary hit points.
Call of the Shadowseeds
As in Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn
Foul Conjuration
As in Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn except added a note that it applies while transformed via Wild Shape.
Incarnation of Corruption
Your physical form begins to take on the tainted traits of the land you are bonded to. Your skin grows ashen, and your eyes darken or turn completely white. Spines and jagged spurs emerge from your body, granting you the following benefits:
- You gain the benefits of Blight Armor, Blight Spines, and Foul Conjuration, even while not transformed with Wild Shape.
- Whenever you start your turn within the radius of the corruption created by your Defile Ground feature, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. When Defile Ground ends, you lose any remaining temporary hit points from this ability.
