Chapter Five: Civil War

The band of ettins under Koroth had become even more of a menace in recent times as she sent her boys to attack those traveling the roads in pursuit of her banner, which had been stolen. Mia Greymane and Lorna Crowley became subject to one such attack, though fortunately Liam Greymane, Uther Menethil, and their companions arrived just in time to intercept the attack thanks to the fact Velameestra Windrunner had scryed on Mia and determined they were on the way.

Koroth and her ettins were swiftly forced into an attempted retreat, but they were trapped so that Uther could attempt diplomacy to seek out a more permanent solution. After pressing Koroth for the reason behind the attack, Koroth admitted she didn't know who stole her banner specifically, just that she had found human-sized boot prints in the area. Uther eventually suggested a deal: that they would help her find her banner if, in return, she would cease attacking any humans traveling the High Roads. Koroth clearly did not like the idea and resented the group for besting her, but she wanted her banner back, and ultimately recognized she had been bested. She agreed, and the seeds were planted to instill a rivalry towards Alpha Prime as well, because she clearly wanted to be infamous as the strongest creature in the area. It was decided the group would come to her den after she and her boys had time to patch up their wounds so that they could investigate the crime scene.

Koroth was allowed to leave without further harassment, and the group continued escorting Mia and Lorna back to Greymane Manor.
