Saltstone Dunalisk
Saltstone Dunalisks are a variety of Basilisk that can be found in the open, barren reaches of the Shimmering Flats. They are capable burrowers and are intelligent enough to strategize among their group, such as leading and chasing prey into ambushes.
They are identifiable by their sandy brown skin, which is frequently covered in jagged spikes. The eldest and most powerful among them, such as matriarchs, can flex these spikes to imitate a cage trap, which they use to trap prey they have burrowed underneath.
Saltstone dunalisks have a paralyzing toxin in their bite, which can start to petrify targets that succumb to it, and they also are capable of exhaling a hyper-heated breath that can wear potential prey down through heat exhaustion.
