[Alliance] Chapter Two: Session Six
0:00
During the last two weeks of downtime, Erin started to improve his repore with Tess while also teaching her the poisoner’s kit.
Erin is also introduced to Mia, Tess’s mother. Tess explains he said he was from Gilneas. Mia’s eyes narrow. She is suspicious. She asks how he found them.
Erin explains it wasn’t easy, but he explains that, as a Gilnean spy, he has to be good at finding people. However, he’s glad she made it out safe.
Mia asks for more. She asks again how he found out about them.
He explains he had help with other members of the agency, and he heard that they had managed to make it out around the same time the wall was being built.
Mia comments there were others that made it out, then.
Erin confirms. Mia’s eyes narrow again, and she asks for further proof.
Erin produces the paperwork, and Mia looks over it, somewhat astounded. She states they are completely legitimate. She asks if he had word from beyond the wall more recently, and he said he didn’t, but he’s sure the king was well taken care of.
Mia asks Erin if he can send word to others that made it out to see if the Gilneans that had survived so they can try to regroup. Erin says he will, and Mia mentions that it may be time to pay a visit back to Gilneas soon.
Mia apologizes that she had made it difficult to find them, and Erin said that it was best she did given the circumstances. Mia comments it’s surprising to see a half-elf from Gilneas, and Erin comments it’s a long story, but his lineage has its advantages. And he would be doing what he can to watch over them.
Mia mentions that she will keep Tess appraised of Krennan’s condition.

The day after Uther’s interaction with the mysterious crystal in the chapel, Uther takes breakfast and goes about his daily routine. However, as he goes to head down to the training yard, he is found by his mother.
Jaina isn’t wearing her normal dresses. Instead, she is wearing a traveling outfit as well as her violet cloak. She has her staff as she makes her way toward Uther, though she doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry.
She comments she was looking for him.
Jaina then explains that there was a bit of a… event. She says he may find it interesting. She had just received a message from King Kael’thas. Apparently Uther’s friend Gil had just run aground with a small cult of demonic warlock. He was able to disrupt their ritual and is fine, but the situation seems to be more complex than originally expected. Kael has requested her presence to help.
Uther has a brief flash of panic and asks if Gil was alright.
Jaina confirmed he only took minor injuries.
Uther asks if she could use a companion for the trip, and Jaina said she was just going to ask him. After all, he was already introduced to situations involving warlocks. In addition, one of the daggers--the same Zandali dagger as before--was used in the summoning. It may have connections to the situation with Zalazane, or the warlocks they previously encountered.
Uther said they should be on their way, and Jaina said she was going to invite Tess as well as it was not wise for her to be too far from Uther’s eye.
Uther thinks for a moment, and then he said he will collect his things.
Jaina said that they are not in a rush as she will get them to Silvermoon before day’s end. She reminds him to say goodbye to his sisters, and then meet her at her sanctum.
Uther goes off, and then Jaina goes and finds Tess. As Tess and Erin are working on some of their things, and Tess greets her. Jaina asks Tess if she was interested in a bit of a journey. Namely, to the kingdom of the elves. King Sunstrider had contacted her and the warlock situation is a bit more complicated than anticipated. She then explains the full situation, and mentions she already spoke with Mia.
Tess agrees to go, but then asks about her “friend” Erin, who had been sent to be a sort of bodyguard. She asks if he could come as well. Jaina agrees.
Uther says goodbye to his sisters, armors up, grabs his weapons, and gets ready to go. As Uther heads to meet up with his mother, he runs into Arator and Elissa, both of whom are practicing a bit. Arator waves at Uther and comments he looks like he is ready to head off somewhere. Uther agrees, and mentions his cousin had gotten into a spot of trouble. Arator asks which one, and Uther clarifies it was Gil. Uther states it was an altercation with demons, and Uther was accompanying Jaina to Silvermoon.
Arator asks if he could come with, as he has technically not been reassigned anywhere, and some time in the forests of his homeland may be good for his health as well.
Elissa asks if she can come as well, and Uther said that he will charge Elissa with protecting Arator at all times.
However, Falric cuts Elissa off before she can speak. Falric says he does not feel it would be wise for Lady Cross to accompany him. There are certain expectations that are levied toward one that holds a noble title, especially those who are knighted. While he has no doubts that Lady Cross has his best interests at heart, she has received no formal training in knighthood. That was something to be remedied. She was also the first, and only, knight of Lordaeron of half-elven descent.
Falric mentions this could be a rather important point, and mentions it would be wise for Elissa to stay in Lordaeron to receive more formal training. Elissa’s shoulders sink slightly, and she looks at Uther, almost pleading.
Uther counters that, “drills every day are no substitute for experience.”
Falric closes his eyes, and he agrees that one of his mentors (him) had said at that point, however, a true warrior knows best how to balance a great many skills. Ultimately, it was Uther’s decision, but Grand Marshall Valenforth and himself were of the same mind.
Uther then remembers Garithos’s previous reaction, and he gives Elissa a sorry look, and mentions that Falric was right.
Elissa says she will do him proud, and that she may “have better handwriting than Vel by the time he gets back.”
There is a small series of laughs, and Falric said that he believes Uther made the right decision, and he will take care of her in his absence.
Elissa bids them farewell, and then realizes she forgot something. There was something she had to bring to them. She will bring it to them before they leave.
Arator said he will gather his things and meet Uther at Jaina’s study.
When they get to the study, Arthas is already there, and he looks rather perturbed. He is asking Jaina why *she* has to be the one to go, after all, Silvermoon was full of powerful mages and archmages that would be capable of solving the situation.
Jaina asks him if he believes she isn’t good enough.
Arthas said that wasn’t what he was saying, and Jaina counters she would be well taken care of. She looks over at Uther as he arrives.
Lianne and Ashwynn are also present, and behind Jaina also stands Rowan--the bound spirit who had been a member of the royal guard for ages. Mia and Rafia are also present, as is Krennan, though he is leaning heavily on a stick.
Arthas greets Uther, and clasps him on his shoulder before telling him not to get into too much trouble.
Ashwynn is asking Jaina to reconsider as she wants to be reassigned to this mission, but Jaina said that Lianne needs her help here. She needs to watch over Lianne and also her father. After all, that’s her responsibility as a member of the royal guard.
Ashwynn relents, as Jaina is right.
Lianne comes up to Uther and gives him a big hug, and Uther hugs her back. She readjusts her circlet, and says that he has a big gift to beat out, but she’s looking forward to seeing what Uther brings back for her.
Mia also says goodbye to Tess, as does Krennan. Krennan gives Tess a small token. He also promises to get better by the time she gets back.
Jaina then summons her magic, and a teleportation circle begins to shimmer through the rug of her study.
Just then, Elissa skids to a stop before them. She has a satchel stuffed full of things.
Tess laughs and asks if she came to kiss her goodbye, and Elissa is caught off guard, but said she had some things. She hands them the satchel, and mentions they were all labeled, but not to open it until everyone was back together.
She explains she got a couple things to say thanks given she had a *lot* more money than she knew what to do with.
Tess hugs her thanks, and Elissa runs off to regroup with Falric.
Uther comments that making Elissa a knight was one of the best things he could have done, and Arthas confirms that she has potential, and the Light blessed him when they came across her.
Jaina then finishes her incantation, and a shimmering portal appears in the center of the circle.
Arthas mentions there was one more thing he had to take care of before they went, and he dips Jaina with a big passionate kiss. Jaina is taken a bit by surprise, and the portal flickers a bit, but she collects herself with a faint blush.
They then go through the portal, and Rowan steps after Jaina as well.
However, when they step through the portal and look around, they are not in Silvermoon. They are in Dalaran.
Uther asks if they were making a short stop. Jaina mentions there was someone else rather important they needed to pick up. After all, they weren’t going to go to Silvermoon without another arcanist with some experience.
Besides, Vel would want to know her brother is okay.
Jaina does not miss Uther’s look, and she makes eye contact with him, before she leads the way to Vel’s new abode. As they pass, Jaina greets many people as they go, including, casually, Archmage Khadgar.
Jaina leads them to the outer districts of the city, and they see a magnificent, but humbly decorated manor that seems to be a little bit overgrown.
Jaina comments Vel did quite well for herself.
Jaina knocks, and a few moments later, there is a call of “Coming!”
It’s Talath who opens the door. Talath mentions that Vel told him Jaina was coming soon. He also greets Uther and Tess, as well as Arator. Last time they saw him it was in Silvermoon.
He also looks at Erin and mentions they hadn’t met. Erin introduces himself as an acquaintance of Tess.
He gives Erin a firm handshake.
Vel heads down the stairs, her things packed. She greets those present, and bids goodbye to Talath. Talath gifts her with a sending stone earring that he had made so that he could keep her appraised of things at the home front. He shows her his own, matching earring.
He gives her this in front of Uther.
Vel thanks him.
1:02
They leave, and Jaina opens another portal, this time to Silvermoon. Kael’thas Sunstrider is awaiting them. He greets Jaina as Jaina Proudmoore, and Jaina corrects him that it is Jaina Menethil.
Kael also greets Uther, as well as Vel, who he mentions it was wise to have been brought along given her association with the Kirin Tor and her previous experience with the warlocks.
Kael also informs them there would be a meeting later that evening, that they were all expected to be present for.
A pair of Spellbreakers escort the group to the Farstrider Square, where Gil was staying. As they walk through the spire, they take in the magnificence of the palace.
As they arrive to the ranger’s lodge, the Spellbreakers bid their farewell and inform them of the time and place of the meeting before leaving.
At that moment, Gil is heading out for lunch. He then sees the group. Most of which he knows. Plus Erin.
Gil goes to meet up with them, and asks what brought them there.
Vel comments that it was news that, in under a week, he was able to get into trouble. Gil asks how they knew about that, and Vel’s eyes shift to Jaina.
They then fill Gil in on their invitation to the Convocation meeting, and Gil asks that they don’t make him explain everything only to explain it again to the Convocation.
However, his stomach growls, and Jaina suggests they go get something to eat. Jaina pays for it.
As they are finishing up lunch, Vel sees an attendant garbed like those at Sunstrider spire. She had seen her out of the corner of her eye in the spire. The girl approaches, and she looks a bit tenuous as she looks at the group. She seems to be pacing and fiddling with a letter.
Gil waves her over.
The girl approaches, and greets them. She has a letter for Vel. Vel sees the seal of the Sunstrider family.
She opens it.
It’s from Kael’thas. The letter states he is more pleased about her presence here than he cares to admit. He apologizes for not asking for her presence personally, but he is glad Jaina chose to bring her. He is requesting she meet with him after the meeting as he has some things he would like to speak with her in regards.
She pockets the note, and Jaina asks what it was about. Vel explains, and Jaina gets a bit overprotective of Vel as she mentions Kael’thas can get a bit *intense*.
Arator then brings up the package from Elissa.
Uther had received a blue cape, as well as the picture Elissa had drawn of Uther before she actually met him. There seems to be something special about the cloak, but he isn’t sure what it is. As Uther shows off the cape, the cape begins to billowing behind him, like it’s from a dramatic gust of wind. However, there’s no wind.
It’s a cloak of billowing.
Tess then opens her package. It’s a beautiful outfit of travelers clothes in Alterac-y fashion. Vel has seen clothes like this before. They are absolutely pristine. They are clothes of mending. She also has a hunch they won’t tear as a worgen. There is also an adorable picture of a puppy with its tail wagging.
Vel throws a bit of wine on her sleeve, and the color just fades off. She comments that she “thought so.”
The package for Gil is clearly a lute. As Gil strums, a small cascade of flower petals falls to the ground. Vel identifies it as a lute of illusions. There is also a picture of him laying in a field of sunflowers laughing.
There is a small piece of paper with a doodle of Vel relaxing with Arkha’din, smiling at her mana wyrm. Elissa had gotten her a wand of magic missiles as well.
There is also a package for Zap, as she had bought him something hoping to find him. Inside is a key shaped kind of like a question mark. Vel takes a closer look. It’s a mystery key. It has a slight chance that it could work on any lock, but whether or not such a thing works is rather up in the air.
Vel explains what it is, then expresses that she hopes Elissa didn’t get scammed. Arator mentions that Erin has experience with lockpicking and such, right? Erin comments that’s profiling. Besides, he has his own skills for that.
Vel comments that, perhaps, he will find something out of his skillset.
Jaina covers her mouth with a small chuckle at the shade, and Erin grumbles and takes the key.
The gift Elissa gave Arator, in addition to a drawing of him looking at the sun, was a wand of smiles. He successfully uses it on Gil, and Gil and Tess both tell him to use it on Vel. He tries it, with hesitation, but it fails. He apologizes to her. He then uses it on Tess, and it also fails.
There is some laughter at the gimmick.
Gil then asks Jaina about the memory gem Meryl had given to him. Jaina explains that mana gems were not things seen in recent times. Vel also recognizes the name.
Vel asks where he found such a thing, and Gil explains that he didn’t find it, but going into that is effectively going into his report. Vel then asks what he can do now, and he explains that he can understand and speak Eredun.
Kel’Thuzad is listening intently now.
He also explains he can sense portals opening, protect others from demons, it seems, and short range teleport, like the blink spell.
Specifically, Gil was worried if it affected him in some way. Jaina mentioned that Gil, as an elf, was already more attuned to arcane energy than humans were, but if anything came up, he could let her or his sister know.
As they finish up their food, Vel goes and purchases an Ice Lance scroll and copies it into her spellbook.
As the group is wandering about, they see a bit of a commotion in the corner. There is an elf who seems to be shouting, rather loudly, about the end coming. He is shouting about a dark shadow stretching across the sky. The sun will burn and blot out the moon. An endless night is coming for them all. He is shouting for people to repent. There is the decided smell of alcohol coming from the doomsayer.
He gestures to the group, saying that they had “seen the shadow” and know what is to come. He calls for them to beg their ancestors for forgiveness before the sky falls upon them all.
Vel goes up next to Uther and mutters the man is drunk. Uther agrees, he can smell it. Vel raises an eyebrow and Gil tells him to go fix it.
Uther goes up and talks to him, then uses lay on hands to remove the buzz. The man asks Uther what he’s done. He removed what was keeping him sane. Uther comments he seems a lot more lucid now. Then he said that Uther knows. Uther asks what he knows, as he knows a lot of things.
The man explains that he can’t put things into words when sober. He also can’t say when he found these things out.
At that moment, two knights of the Eternal Spring approach with an arcane golem and ask what the problem is. Uther says the problem was resolved. The knights know the man, and identify him as Balothar, who they have had problems with in the past.
However, given Balothar had calmed down, and Uther had it under control, they moved on. Balothar thanks Uther, and explains he would have probably been thrown into the Morningtide Prisons again. They don’t listen to his warnings.
Uther expresses that, perhaps, he should be a bit more specific.
Balothar expresses he is right. People think he’s a lunatic. He then asks Uther if he thinks he’s a lunatic. Uther expressed experiences have proven that there is… something to a coming darkness. Balothar then identifies Uther as a knight of the Silver Hand, and thanks him. Uther said the alcohol wasn’t doing him any favors, and Balothar said he would try to stay away from it.
Uther asks Balothar if he had an address, and the man explains his wife left him some time ago. Uther then gives him 10 gold pieces, and tells him to put himself up in an inn for a few days. Balothar is amazed, and Uther said he will come inquiring after him in a few days. Maybe then he can sort out more about the coming darkness.
Balothar bids him farewell.
As Uther rejoins them, Vel comments Balothar wasn’t hexed. She checked. As if in indication, they note Arkha’din now curled around her wrist.
2:12
Later that evening, the group heads to the Court of the Sun. They get some glances as they go as they are a mix of elves, half elves, and humans. There are animated objects just around, such as brooms sweeping the streets and the like.
Eventually they get beyond Sunstrider Spire, and beyond the sea sits the isle of Quel’Danas, where the Magistrate itself resides outside of Silvermoon. There is also the pillar of light shooting into the sky from the Sunwell itself.
They head down the stairs to the meeting site of the Convocation of Silvermoon. The Convocation is already seated.
Kael’thas thanks the arriving group for their punctuality, and thanks the rest of the Convocation for gathering on such short notice.
Vandellor then announces that a Zone of Truth will be utilized. He asks if there is any aversion to the magic, and no one makes a move to oppose. Vandellor taps his staff, and the zone activates.
Kael’thas then looks to Gil, and asks for him to explain what happened first-hand. He then mentions to the Convocation that he had requested Jaina’s assistance as an archmage of the Kirin Tor and a foreign ally. He then mentions Dar’khan was a dear friend, and he will not rest until he finds who is responsible.
He then turns the floor over to Gil.
Gil explains the situation, starting with his encounter with the man being hunted by three felhunters. He explains he went into the portal when it opened in pursuit of the man that helped him, who had been pulled through.
Kilnar asked what was beyond the portal.
Gil states it was an eredar.
Belo’vir repeats the name in surprise, and mentions they were the demonic lords of the Nethers. He mentions that the tale seemed rather far-fetched, doubly so by the fact Gil was still alive.
Gil mentions his companion was a powerful mage.
Borel asks who the companion was.
Gil said that he asked him not to use his name, but he can say that he was much older than he had any right to be.
There are a few whispers among the Convocation, and Borel comments that the answer was quite cryptic.
Gil explains that he claimed to be one of the original 100 humans that learned magic from the elves.
Belo’vir’s eyebrows shoot up, and he comments that that was thousands of years ago. The oldest humans maybe reached 200, which was far from that.
Gil stated he didn’t think he was alive.
Borel follows up and asks what he meant, and Gil said he didn’t have a proper answer.
Vandellor smiles and leans forward. He says he understands that, what Gil says, may very well be the truth. There was no question of that. But the realm of the Twisting Nether, demons and chaos, is one that is… is known to addle the mind of those who try to reach too deeply into it. He asks Gil if, what he speaks, is the tried and honest truth for as much as he is aware.
Gil says it is.
Sylvanas says she believes him. Gil had been nothing but an extremely talented and successful member of her organization. He takes his responsibilities with a dire attention. Whether or not what he saw was true or false, it was what he believed, and therefore that means it is worth investigating.
Belo’vir smiles and mentions that such was high praise from the Ranger-General, and he knew Sylvanas well enough that she would not say things unless she meant them. She was not one for nepotism. That said, the news of the mage was a concerning thing. Belo’vir mentioned he was there when those 100 were trained. He could go through each and every one of the names, but none of them had that time, and he respects the wishes of the man… if he does exist, and if he did help Gil, as honor to that ancient pact between his and my own.
However, if Gil encounters the man again, Belo’vir asks to implore him to reach out to the Magistrate.
Gil mentions it seems the man was dealing with the Burning Legion.
Kilnar’s eyes narrow, and she asks if he heard that phrase from him as well.
Gil said it was not initially.
Kilnar explains that it was an ancient name given to the force of demons that were fought back time and time again. It was curious that name came up now, especially in reference to recent events such as the death of Magister Drathir. Everything seems to be coming together far too neatly for there to not be a correlation.
The rest of the Convocation nods.
Jaina then steps forward and expresses she believes Gil, and regardless of any possibilities of his mind being altered, whatever person or monster that was able to do that did so for a reason. She asks them to disregard any doubt they have, as this may be far more dire than they thought.
Gil said the demon, Balaadur, talked of the Burning Legion coming.
Jaina reaches into her pouch, and she explains that, from tales of Gil’s encounter, the warlock in question was wielding a bone dagger. She shows the dagger retrieved from Zalazane, and Gil produces the other dagger.
Jaina explains the daggers were created by the trolls, and by those daggers many lives were taken. She said they were referred to as blood bone daggers, and the wounds inflicted by them cannot be healed by magic, and the lacerations stay until their heal naturally. The blood they let can be wrapped into blood magics. There were over 100 daggers 20 years ago, and there’s no telling how many there are now.
Belo’vir asks if there is a way to destroy the daggers, and Jaina mentions that will be the focus of her own research.
Belo’vir mentions that they needed to get to the bottom of things as soon as possible, and everyone agrees. Kael’thas then asks if there was anything else they needed to bring up.
Meanwhile, Velameestra was watching Kael’thas and Kilnar. Kael’thas seems to have things on his mind, and he has not spoken a lot throughout this. He also seems to be genuinely relieved as the group is talking, especially in regards to the daggers and them looking into them. He almost seems afraid, whether that’s for his people or what, but it seems to be assuaged by the way this meeting has gone.
In regards to Kilnar, there’s a mixture of pride as she listens, as well as unmistakeable dread. Especially considering she seemed to be the one most knowledgeable about the Burning Legion and and the demons. The dread seems to grow more and more as the meeting goes on, and she also seems to be watching Kael’thas like a hawk.
The others are just kind of taking things all in.
Vandellor then mentions there was one more thing. He asks Liadrin to bring in the other witness, and Liadrin comes in accompanied by Thal’ena. Thal’ena looks absolutely terrified.
Vandellor asks for Thal’ena’s side of the story. Thal’ena looks at Gil, fear on her face, and he reassuringly smiles back at her.
Thal’ena swallows hard, and presents her side of things. She had met up with the individuals who attacked her. They claimed they knew the one responsible. That they knew who had done it, who had killed the magister, and that I needed to know. They promised everything would be fine. She had followed them, and brought a dagger to defend herself. They brought her to the place Gil had found her, and her mother was there. She was the one that was responsible. She did it. She killed the magister. Thal’ena had been looking into it, and she thought she found some things she hadn’t supposed to.
She states it was her mother the entire time. Her mother tried to kill her, and she would have succeeded if it wasn’t for Gil. When Thal’ena woke up she was already gone. But she said that Lana’thel Dawnseeker, her mother, was responsible for it. She was the one that tried to kill her, to save herself. Or something.
She was afraid to say something, and she’s now terrified.
Kael’thas mentions that they will watch out for her. He then commands Lor’themar to see to it that she has guards outside her door.
Vel follows up and asks how sure Thal’ena was that it was her mother, or is it possible that it could have been some form of illusion.
Gil confirms Lana’thel was under house arrest after asking when it had happened.
Lor’themar asks Borel if it was possible that Lana’thel could have gotten out with outside help, and for as much as he was concerned, Borel wanted to say no, but he couldn’t say for absolute sure.
Vel then provides that, in theory, an illusion could have easily been used as a precaution. In the event that Thal’ena did manage to escape, she would then have a truthful, as far as she was concerned, account incriminating her mother, potentially turning Lana’thel into a scapegoat.
Borel agrees, but will look further into it. They dismiss Thal’ena.
Gil asks if he was able to ask a member of the Convocation a question, and Vandellor said of course.
Gil asks General Borel why he chose the magisters he chose to be guarded. He said it goes without saying. Dar’khan and the others had drawn a lot of attention to themselves. Is it not logical to ensure such people do not become targets?
Gil counters that Borel hadn’t extended the protection to every magister that stood with Dar’khan. He asks why he chose them specifically, and Borel responds they were the most outspoken, and the ones who had drawn the most attention. He couldn’t redirect the entirety of the guard to give every magister a private platoon.
He then asks Gil if that was a sufficient answer, and Gil nods.
Borel seems to obviously be telling the truth, but it seemed he was still hiding something.
Belo’vir concludes that they will have the full support of the magistrate in finding out the culprit, and the group is dismissed.
3:31
Once they leave, Gil pulls the party aside in the investigation room, where Vel is also given free reign to examine Dar’khan’s body.
Jaina suggests they make the investigation room their home base, and Gil gives a quick overview of his encounter with Kilnar. He also states that he knows, for sure, General Borel is hiding something.
Gil also mentions Vel needs to touch base with Kilnar, and she says she already made arrangements. She then proceeds to poke around the dead body, along with Arkha’din.
Some questions are exchanged as Vel takes a closer look at the burns. It seems the burns were not a single spell. There were a number of different spells. It seems like he was killed by more than just one. She points this out.
Erin mentions he can go to the crime scene to poke around, and Vel mentions that if there were multiple people, they could potentially use that. If they get on one person’s tail, they can flush out the others. Effectively use them against each other.
Jaina tells Erin and Tess to be careful. Lor’themar’s words frightened her. If there was corruption in the organizations, people may try to obfuscate information.
Vel comments she has something that can help, and she casts invisibility on Tess and Vincent.
Jaina then goes and retires to the quarters prepared for her, and Vel goes to meet with Kael’thas. Jaina reminds her to be careful.
Gil then follows after Tess and Erin.
Uther and Arator accompany Jaina back to the palace.
3:30
Gil catches up to Tess and Erin, and he happens to see a flicker that identifies Tess. He greets them quietly and keeps walking.
A voice calls to Gil, and Gil sees two members of the Knights of Eternal Spring. They ask for his business, and he says he is investigating the crime scene. One says he thought he saw something behind him, and Gil says that he didn’t see anything. The Knight states he doesn’t believe Gil is being entirely truthful, and mentions they were supposed to be on high alert for everyone, including Farstriders. Gil says they can accompany him if it would make them feel better.
Meanwhile, Erin and Tess dip to come in from another direction.
The group gets to Dar’khan’s manor and one mentions that it’s rather creepy, and he’s worried about Drathir coming back to haunt them. The other counters that ghosts don’t exist.
Gil raises his eyebrow at that.
As they continue, they see scorch marks still around.
Meanwhile, Vel makes her way in Sunstrider Spire to the sanctum that belongs to Kael’thas. The door is closed. Vel knocks, and there is a sound from inside. The door opens to reveal the private arcane sanctum of Kael’thas.
It’s a beautiful atrium with massive windows and clear stained glass that can be seen through from the inside, but not the outside.
In the very center there is a narrow, copper colored piece of metal, and above it, connecting off of hollow rods are massive balls of steel, silver, and gold moving around the massive atrium.
There is a beautiful painted mural of the Sunstrider sigil across the floor that seems to glitter with fire. Lining the room, 20-30 feet tall, are rows upon rows of bookshelves that would could climb up and browse for books.
Standing up on the second tier, walking with his hands folded behind him and no longer wearing his fine, presentation robes, Kael’thas looks down at Vel and smiles. He steps off, and stone tablets come from the wall nearby and match his step before flying back.
He then greets Vel, and Velameestra greets him in return as “your highness” and mentions his library is quite impressive.
Kael’thas returns with, “Please, call me Kael.”
