Sorcerer: Stone Sorcery
Stone Magic
Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Psionic Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an abjuration or a transmutation spell from the druid, sorcerer, or wizard spell list.
Table: Stone Magic
Sorcerer Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | compelled duel, mold earth, thunderous smite |
3rd | barkskin, branding smite |
5th | elemental shield, wall of sand |
7th | staggering smite, summon construct |
9th | banishing smite, steel wind strike |
Bonus Proficiencies
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with shields.
Stone's Durability
As an action, you can gain a base AC of 10 + your Constitution modifier + your Charisma modifier if you aren’t wearing armor, and your skin assumes a stony appearance. This effect lasts until you end it as a bonus action, you are incapacitated, or you don armor other than a shield.
While benefitting from this ability, your hardened skin can be used as an offense as much as defense. Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage, and can use your Charisma modifier for the attack and damage rolls unarmed strikes.
Stone Aegis
Starting at 6th level, your command of earth magic grows stronger, allowing you to harness it for your allies’ protection.
As a bonus action, you can grant an aegis to a willing creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The aegis is a dim, gray aura of earth magic that protects the target. The aegis grants the target the following benefits:
- It has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.
- It has advantage on saving throws against poison, and resistance against poison damage.
- A critical hit against it becomes a normal hit.
This effect lasts for 1 minute, until you use it again, or until you are incapacitated.
In addition, when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you hits another creature protected by the aegis with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of the attacker. You can teleport only if you and the attacker are on the same surface. You can then make one melee weapon attack against the attacker. If that attack hits, it deals an extra 1d10 force damage. This extra damage increases to 2d10 at 11th level and 3d10 at 17th level.
You can use this special reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Stone Phalanx
Starting at 14th level, when you use your Stone’s Aegis, you can choose up to three creatures to gain its benefits.
Stone Soul
Beginning at 18th level, your body becomes tough as stone. You lose the ability to deactivate the AC from Stone's Durability, and gain the following benefits:
- You no longer require air, food, drink, or sleep, and can’t be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as keeping watch.
- You deal double damage to objects and structures.
- You gain a magical burrow speed equal to your walking speed. You can burrow through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone. While doing so, you don't disturb the material you move through.
- You are immune to poison.
