Belmont was a Venetian mage hunter that spearheaded the raid on the warehouse where Heigan Capless and his Cult of the Damned had orchestrated their plague production. In the process of raiding the warehouse, he was struck by the plague and raised into undeath.
Description
Belmont was a wiry, lithe man, and in undeath his silhouette was only emphasized as his body became more emaciated and bone and sinew showed. He had pallid, drawn skin and bright, glowing orange eyes. His shoulder-length blue-white hair was normally styled into thick spikes, which made him easily recognizable even at a distance. As a former mage hunter of Venetia, he was a skilled assassin with a talent for targeting and shutting down mages of all varieties.
Belmont was a grim, macabre man with a stern seriousness. He was confident in his abilities and approached matters with ruthless efficiency, but utilized gallows humor at opportune moments - normally when it was most apt to disconcert the living.
Biography
Chapter Five: Civil War
When Uther Menethil returned to Venetia to meet with the mage-lords and request their aid against the Scarlet Crusade following the routing of Heigan Capless, Belmont was the mage hunter that led him to the audience chamber to meet with the mage-lords. During the small-talk as they walked, Belmont mused that the lot had left quite an impression, and he seemed grimly interested in the notion the Scarlet Crusade had been responsible for funding the operation in Venetia. Before he left Uther to meet with the mage-lords, he expressed a hope that the young prince could convince them to send aid, as he wouldn't mind another raid if it meant he could settle a score with the Scarlets.
Sure enough, Uther was successful, and when it came time to raid the Scarlet Monastery, Belmont led a contingent of mage hunters from Venetia into the fray where they expertly downed priests and mages of all kinds.
