Senegos says: I understand that you’ve come here to speak on matters from the organization you represent.

He looked at Nyxxa.

Nyxxa says: It seems there’s been a misunderstanding. I seek to clear it up.
Senegos says: indeed. First I would have the names of the brave travelers that saved one of our kin. If you would share.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Nyxxa Murkthorn.
Sol'chi says: Sol Murkthorn.
Arthak Saurfang says: Arthak Saurfang. Warchief of the Horde.
Zar'Kaa says: I’m Zar’Kaa, captain of the Darkspear tribe.

There was a twinkle in the dragon’s massive eyes.

Senegos says: Darkspear you say? Hmph. It truly is a small world.
Zar'Kaa says: Oh?

Senegos smiles mischievously.

Senegos says: I have met some of your people. It was long, long ago. But I remember my time there quite fondly.
Zar'Kaa says: I’m glad to hear it.

Zar’Kaa looked up at the large dragon nervously.

Zar'Kaa says: Yes, that sounds like a good story. Maybe some other time I’ll ask you for it?

Senegos waved his claw.

Senegos says: of course. At my age you find yourself reminiscing swiftly and often. I would love to speak with you more about them. I’m curious how Vah’jin is doing these days.

He turned his eyes back to Nyxxa. He lowered his head and squinted down at her.

Senegos says: Judging from your aura and your magic… I wager you are a representative from teh strange fel magic wielders we discovered, yes?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We are the Illidari.
Senegos says: Are all of them satyrs?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That’s just me. I was fortunately enough to be welcomed into their numbers to stave off some effects of the curse.

Senegos nodded.

Senegos says: Interesting. Well, if one of your Illidari is willing to risk their lives for our people, then perhaps we misjudged you. When we first encountered your allies, it seems, we had not known to make of them. When we learned from the Wyrmrest Accord that they had recently learned of free agents tapping into the fel… our first contact was not ideal.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: What happened?
Senegos says: Nothing serious. Simply people snooping where neither wished it. On both sides. I hope none of the injuries on your side were serious. I know no lives were lost on ours.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I understand the initial incident was an accident. I don’t even know if they were looking for anything.
Senegos says: I believe the inciting incident was the increased activity of fel magic practitioners on the island. It made our guardians… spooked. They were concerned your agents were the ones that called them here, though it seems the opposite may be the case, especially with you here.

He looked at Arthak and the other orcs.

Senegos says: I’ve only encountered one other orc in my long life, and he was no friend of the Legion. At least judging from his battlecries. I did not speak with him personally.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We are no friend of Legion. We intend to deal with the incursions here.
Senegos says: Well, you have my sincerest apologies. I suppose I should have thought to ask him. Master Gilveradin was at the Wyrmrest Accord recently. Perhaps he would known more of the source of the rumors. I apologize for our first encounters, but I’m glad we can resolve them.

He looked at Stellagosa.

Senegos says: Ensure word is spread to everyone. We don’t want more hostilities. Though I believe it would be beneficial for me to speak with your leader. I want to know more of the magic you wield. Fel is a dangerous and corrupting force, more so than many. I believe it would be wise for me to see what strange incantations they have made.

He looked at Nyxxa’s tattoos.

Senegos says: It seems to be some sort of modified circle of binding, which is curious. Do all your brethren have such markings? Or is that just because you are a demon?

Altruis stepped forward.

Altruis Shadowwsong says: No, we all have them.
Senegos says: Oh? Could you step closer?

Altruis stepped closer again, and it was obvious Senegos’s eyesight was not great.

Senegos says: Curious. The powers you use are derived directly from a demon?
Altruis Shadowwsong says: You can say that. We derive our powers from demons we devour body and soul.
Senegos says: By the arcane, not what I expected. It would be good for me to speak with your leaders then.
Stellagosa says: Grandfather, the last thing you should do at your age is going for a joy fly. Let me go.
Senegos says: Tut tut, my starlight. I am capable. Where did you say your people are making their base of operations?

Nyxxa looked at Altruis, who nodded.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Black Rook Hold.
Senegos says: Ah, the old kaldorei fortress. A well-fortified place, or at least it was many years ago. I will drop in when I get the opportunity and speak with your leader and perhaps whoever crafted these remarkable tattoos of yours.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I will inform her of your coming.
Senegos says: Excellent. If I get bored enough I may beat you to it. I am glad we are able to get this misunderstanding sorted out. At least the beginnings of it. You must forgive us. The blue dragonflight has suffered many losses, and safe havens like this are rare and hard to come about since the Broodlands were shut off from us.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s your home. It makes sense you’d want to protect it.
Senegos says: I am glad you understand. The tragedies that unfolded during the war… they deprived us of a great many of our children and of the next generation. Though it is an unfortunate contest we find ourselves in with the black dragonflight for the number of broodmothers. Though my dear starlight is coming of age to lay her own children.

Stellagosa rolled her eyes.

Stellagosa says: Perhaps in a few centuries, but we don’t need to talk about that with outsiders.
Senegos says: of course. I simply hope I’ll still be here to meet them.
Stellagosa says: I’m sure you will, grandfather.
Senegos says: Yes. pardon my query, the young whelpling with you…

He looked over at Neth.

Senegos says: You said his name was Nethrandamus, yes?

Neth nodded.

Senegos says: You’re a netherwing dragon like the young man before, yes? It’s a pleasure and a wonder besides. I never thought I would see a new type of dragon appear in my life, but the world and its mysteries never cease to surprise one even of my venerable and well-traveled experience. But you are distant travelers of many different varieties. I presume you are also here to investigate the strange occurrences? I can only assume you are likewise hunting the strange malcontents that made themselves known on our shores?

The group went into the general situation with the Scepter of the Sargeras.

Senegos says: Very curious… this Gul’dan is seeking the Scepter of Sargeras, and should he succeed, you believe he can open another dark portal. I can see why that could be troublesome.
Altruis Shadowwsong says: On that note, venerable elder, you would not have known of the Tomb of Sargeras, would you?
Senegos says: Tomb of Sargeras… no. Unfortunately such a place is not known to me. The name is of course one I’ve heard of. The name of the dark titan… a twisted facsimile of the great beings that watch over this world. But a tomb… I’ve never heard such a thing, or why a being such as he would need a tomb. I wager such a place would be a place where they would keep the scepter. It is curious you brought up this… I’m sure you encountered the disruption. The fel disruption. The disturbance. That makes communication outside the Broken Isles difficult. If there was a tomb or scepter, I would not be surprised if that was its source.
Altruis Shadowwsong says: Our sources might suggest the same. We were hesitant to share it, because we weren’t able to corroborate, but… the Reliquary had made contact with individuals that had knowledge of the source of this disturbance. They’ve been led to believe it was a powerful wizard. A woman named Aegwynn. She betrayed Azeroth, and from what I understand, was nearly responsible for destroying the planet. According to the tale we were given, she was possessed by a fragment of Sargeras. This tomb may be where she’s imprisoned, and if the stories are to be believed, where an avatar of the dark titan lies dormant as well. That’s part of what I’m going to be looking into. This Xhilag creature may be protecting something. If that is the source of the disturbance, it may be the tomb itself. But if it’s at the bottom of the ocean, well, that brings forth a large number of problems. Doubly so if this creature remains.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It does make sense if that were the case. That someone so powerful could be twisted…
Senegos says: Aegwynn was a friend of the blue dragonflight, though I never met her myself. She had friends amongst us. If this tomb is at the bottom of the ocean, that is possible. There were main ruins that were consumed by the Sundering. I know nothing of a tomb, but my knowledge is far from comprehensive. There are any number of answers as to what this could mean. But on the plus side, if your adversary likewise seeks this tomb, he will have to contend with the same circumstances. Referring to it being at the bottom of the ocean. I suppose with the right magic there are ways to circumvent that… especially if this Gul’dan is as dangerous and resourceful as he may seem.
Zar'Kaa says: This is something that can be accomplished by fel magic?
Senegos says: The fel is magic of change and destruction. There are any number of ways it can be used to shape the circumstance. Powerful magic is capable of twisting and manipulating reality in unexpected ways. With enough creativity one could even find their way to the bottom of the sea, or make a place so it was no longer there. This land is one which would have means to accomplish that.
Zar'Kaa says: Hm. So. if I’m hearing you right, that means that in order for us to access this tomb, we need to go find these means before Gul’dan does.
Senegos says: It may be wise, yes. There is one I can think of that would be dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. The Hammer of Kaz’goroth. An ancient relic left by the titans. The eponymous of which was responsible for shaping the world as it is. The tool was left in the care of Neltharion, the former aspect of the black dragonflight… but his was the charge that was left to him by the same entity. After his betrayal, the hammer was recollected by a great warrior named Huln Highmountain. I don’t know its whereabouts, but his descendants may be more knowledgeable.
Zar'Kaa says: Those in the Highmountain region?
Senegos says: Yes, the great protectors of the deep places of the earth and the noble folk of the mountains. If not them, perhaps Neltharion’s servants, the trogbar. The great and mighty durable folk beneath the earth who live in the caverns the black dragonflight once called home. I sent Gilveradin and his partners in that direction! They seek tools of their own. Perhaps your paths will cross again in that area. If this Gul’dan were to learn of such a relic, I fear what he could do with it. It is dangerous and powerful and one that could shape the earth and the seas both. I would recommend… checking in on it, at the very least.
Zar'Kaa says: Yeah…
Senegos says: There are of course other relics or artifacts that could accomplish similar feats. But that one… that one is on these isles. Or at least I have reason to believe. The others… I cannot say. Nor could I say if they would be useful.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We at least have reason to go in that direction too.
Senegos says: Do you? Wonderful news. I don’t imagine that Huln is still around, but if his descendants are half as honorable as he, then you’ll find staunch allies, I’m certain.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That is reassuring to hear!
Senegos says: As you are all newcomers, I have been around these islands for many millennia. If there is any information you seek, I’d be happy to answer to the best of my ability. If we are going to be allies and you seek to chase the burning shadow from the island, I am duty bound to share with you what I know. Or if you wish to chat! It’s nice to speak with travelers. A rare gift here, by our own design, of course.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Of course. We can’t stay too long, but if you wouldn’t mind us being here, there’s much to talk about.
Senegos says: Of course, of course.
Sol'chi says: Are there any other factions or groups we should know about here?
Senegos says: Quite the question. These isles are home to many folk. From those of the Highmountain and the drogbar and their allies… is there anyone in particular you are seeking information on? I ramble, if you have not noticed.
Arthak Saurfang says: Might you have any knowledge of the vrykul?
Senegos says: I do, yes. They are a noble and great folk. One of their larger settlements is located in the region known as Stormheim, the easternmost territory. They are a proud and noble race of giants who… sometimes… our flights do not always see well with them. Historically. They have caused problems in the past. Less the ones here, but the clans to be found in Northrend, for instance, have hunted our people in the past. They are a proud race of warriors. They keep their gods… great and mighty giants larger even than they. We refer to them as Keepers and Watchers, great beings who, in ancient times, guided our people and taught us a great deal. They too look to them for guidance and power. Some of them are less fond of dragonkind than others.
Arthak Saurfang says: Out of curiosity… do you happen to have any knowledge of their tongue?
Senegos says: Yes. I am a bit of a polyglot myself. You learn to speak many languages while you come to reach my age.

Arthak nodded and quickly carved out one of his runes on the stone.

Arthak Saurfang says: Is this similar to their language?

Senegos got real close to the etching.

Senegos says: It is similar, though theirs is… different, all the same. I recognize these glyph. They are unusual, but I recognize them as the language of giants, yes? From my understanding, the orcish folk are not from Azeroth. Impressive you’ve come to this tongue, different though it seems.
Arthak Saurfang says: Our world has its own giants. It appears they share a tongue.
Senegos says: Well, the titans… they are beings whose goals and reach extends far beyond Azeroth. Perhaps their touch was felt upon your own world as well. I cannot say for certain.
Arthak Saurfang says: Interesting…
Zar'Kaa says: I didn’t know you could speak giant. Damn. Cool.

Arthak raised his arm to show the rune on his forearm.

Senegos says: It is indeed quite cool, I agree.
Arthak Saurfang says: A gift from an old friend.
Senegos says: Seems to be a wise friend, that.
Arthak Saurfang says: He was.
Senegos says: My condolences.

Arthak reached back and pushed Runas to the front.

Arthak Saurfang says: Another point of interest. This gentleman has spoken of the survival of a place known as Suramar.
Senegos says: Right! I had nearly forgotten. He was quiet.
Runas says: I was just waiting my turn, is all! Good and noble Senegos of the Azurewing Repose! It is an honor. I am Runas. I would be more than happy to share everything I know with you and others!
Senegos says: Indeed. I would be curious to hear your tale, Runas. The beings that we have espied like you in the pass, and the ones that assailed the egg you sought to liberate from our Repose.

Runas shrank beneath Senegos.

Runas says: A thousand pardons, Master Senegos! I simply wished to bask in your magnificence one day.
Senegos says: And you sought our magic, yes?

Runas looked down.

Senegos says: All will be forgiven, Runas, if you share everything you know. Then perhaps, should we find your information acceptable, I will even grant you a reward. And a reminder to never try what you did again.

Runas swallowed hard.

Runas says: Of course! Of course. I am a man who knows better than to make the same mistake twice. So, what did you wish to know? Right. Suramar. Well. As I had mentioned, Suramar is still there, for the most part. Parts of the city were submerged, and some of the territories were lost, but the city itself still exists on the coast line. The area has been covered in an illusion that is connected via some strange towers of sorts that makes the place inaccessible unless you are given leave to enter. I have tried. Those who do not know of its existence simply find themselves staring at the open ocean. I have been exiled for running amok of the wrong individuals, which happened many many… much too long ago. But I do not know much of the current goings on, or how to enter, unfortunately. It would not be efficient to tell your exiles how to re-enter. I do know there is a way, though! I have seen some of Elisande’s men exiting and re-entering. Though they would likely kill me on sight and I like my head attached to my shoulders.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Did you see where?
Runas says: No. The entire place looks different… the sun itself you can’t even see within the shield. It’s an everfglowing blanket of night that protects the city and beyond it you see life as it is.
Zar'Kaa says: What of this Elisande?
Runas says: She is the grand magistrix, the leader of Suramar and the master of their Convocation and their council. She has ruled Suramar since before the war of the ancients and she iss incredibly power. From what the rumors are said, those able to talk their way into her bed never want for anything. Not that I ever attempted such a thing.
Zar'Kaa says: What kind of leader is she?
Runas says: An imperious and wise leader who is said to see the future before it happens. Her intellect is beyond reach, and she is a phenomenal public speaker. The night well was her creation, and under her protection as well, which is why none of its energy reach those outside the city limits.
Sol'chi says: Why are there so many of you outside the city?
Runas says: It is a convenient way to remove what you need to. There is no need for a prison if you can simply cast those you don’t want in the city.
Zar'Kaa says: A death sentence.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Seems worse than death.
Arthak Saurfang says: So that’s the sort of leader we are looking at.
Runas says: There are others! Though most eventually succumb to the fate of the withered.
Sol'chi says: Do you know what the mechanism is for your people to wither?
Runas says: Yes. Well. By experience, unfortunately. Our exposure to the shield that was erected before the War protected Suramar from the cataclysm… the locus of power they used was the night well. I don’t know anything about how it works, but it makes everything dark and hidden… I didn’t even know ther ewas an outside world before! There were hot debates on whether there was life beyond. I had a feeling. There were people I knew who passed through the barrier and returned. But yes. The nightwell gives the barrier strength, and also preserves us as we were. That is why we are still around. Or, well, I was. It’s not like elves are normally immortal. We live for a few thousand years then we die, but thanks to the nightwell, many of us are veterans of the old war. Ten thousand years if you believe it!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I do. Most of the kaldorei people are still around for other reasons.
Runas says: Do you have a nightwell of your own?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s a bit complicated.
Runas says: So you were a survivor of the war!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Not that I really remember it.
Runas says: I apologize for not giving you the respect as a war veteran! I was born after.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Probably for the best you missed it.
Runas says: I certainly believe it!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I mostly just remember the burning… but anyway!
Runas says: The nightwell, its energies can be collected and transfigured into a potable form that can be distributed amongst hte populace. They are given the chance to endure everlasting! Hence why I’m alive today. Iw ould be a fair bit older than I am today if it was not for the arcwine, or arcjuice, for the children. It’s fabulous stuff. I… miss it very much. I digress again! Yes, it is an invaluable resource to the nightborne.
Arthak Saurfang says: Which the grand magistrix controls access to.
Runas says: Precisely! Well. Most. Back in my day, I was part of redistribution…
Arthak Saurfang says: A smuggler.
Runas says: You… could say that, yes.
Arthak Saurfang says: It’s a valuable trade. No need for shame in that.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I was one for a bit.
Zar'Kaa says: Same.
Runas says: Seems I am among friends! I dealt with some items that were smuggled in from the outside. If you ever need someone with connections in the city… I’m sure some of my friends will be happy to help if you get in, of course. I never learned how the goods got in…
Sol'chi says: So this arcwine keeps you stable?
Runas says: Yes. It teems with mana, which is why mana itself is able to stave off the tide, so to speak… the arcwine preserves your youth and beauty as well. It is… It’s hard to describe. I had the most wonderful, gorgeous hair… you have to believe me. It wasn’t drab and deflated like it is now…
Sol'chi says: I’ve seen cases similar to… what I imagine has been going on with you. If we can, we may bring you somewhere else where you can get some help?
Runas says: oh. Is it that place you talked about earlier?
Sol'chi says: Perhaps. That’s up to others here. But I think you could get some help there.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I think that would be useful for a variety of reasons.
Zar'Kaa says: Including the fact I need to take a look at you and see what’s going on with this effect.
Stellagosa says: And so someone can keep an eye on him.
Runas says: I won’t object!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s good to get you from the temptation of this place.
Zar'Kaa says: There will be plenty of eyes on you!

Zar’Kaa smacked Runas on the back.

Runas says: Anything will beat slumming around the wilderness! So you won’t have complaints from me…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Plus the Slayer will like to hear your perspective as well.
Runas says: Of course! You need only ask. I am a jack of all trades you can say… if you need shoe shining! I’m your man. Really anything.

He looks down at the lack of shoes.

Runas says: Maybe not the shoe shining.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I think your information will be found more than useful. We didn’t know Suramar still exists.
Runas says: See! Runas is already helping!
Arthak Saurfang says: There will be many people that can find use for you.
Runas says: Good… though your smile, my friend, is frightening… I will be as small and unproblematic for all of you until we get back to this hold!

Zar’Kaa looked at Senegos.

Zar'Kaa says: Do you need anything more from this one?

He pointed at Runas.

Zar'Kaa says: An apology perhaps?
Runas says: Of course, I would gladly apologize a thousand times over, master Senegos. If there’s anything that you or your allies need…
Senegos says: There might be a few things. If you and your friends are not in any rush. Before you leave.

Senegos gets a mischievous grin. He looked over at Stellagosa.

Senegos says: Starlight, would you have him help the whelp tenders? I think there are no shortage of tasks someone with his talents could help with.

Stellagosa also grinned.

Stellagosa says: Of course, grandfather. Runas.
Runas says: Coming along! Of course!

Stellagosa and Runas disappear from the chamber as Senegos chuckled.

Senegos says: A scoundrel, that one. But I suppose if he’s going to be at the hold, I can harass him there as well. I can tell he’s harmless even if his actions nearly caused harm.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Desperation brings out the worst in people.
Senegos says: And it seems these nightborne exiles may be pressed to no small amount of desperation.
Sol'chi says: They all seem to be suffering from addiction.
Arthak Saurfang says: Not dissimilar to things we’ve observed with the quel’dorei.
Senegos says: It sounds less like addiction and more like dependence. These poor folk, to degenerate into monsters and mindless beasts… I don’t believe you can recover from that.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It seems like it might be used to keep these people in line.
Senegos says: This Elisande sounds powerful, though perhaps not the most benevolent. But this is just one small perspective. Perhaps others will explain more.
Zar'Kaa says: This doesn’t put her in a good light, you have to admit.
Senegos says: I don’t know this Elisande. But perhaps there are actions that do.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Perhaps Lady Whisperwind knows a thing or two if we can catch them before they leave.
Zar'Kaa says: Good idea.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Another reason to head back quickly.
Sol'chi says: Yes.
Arthak Saurfang says: I am satisfied. Thank you, elder, for your wisdom and information.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: And your understanding!
Senegos says: Of course. I’m glad to help. These old bones don’t get around much, so it’s good to guide the young to feats of heroism I wish I could still partake in.
Zar'Kaa says: There’s still time yet!
Senegos says: Yes, I suppose there is.

The group was given leave to stay within the Azurewing Repose for the day. Arthak opted to have a few words with Khadgar, as the archmage and Kalecgos were also remaining at the Repose until they could accompany the group back to Black Rook Hold. Khadgar was chatting with Telagos when Arthak found him.

Khadgar addressed Arthak in orcish.

Khadgar says [orcish]: I presume this language would be most easy, correct?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I can do Darnassian or Zandali, but my native tongue is pleasant to use.
Khadgar says [orcish]: Then orcish is fine by me. I had a feeling this would come in handy.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Languages often do. Can we have a word in private?
Khadgar says [orcish]: Of course. This place is wonderful. Teeming with magic, growth, and wisdom all at once!

They walk together to a sheltered alcove.

Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: It is interesting. There are many layers to this world.
Khadgar says [orcish]: That is one of the most true statements I’ve heard in my life, my friend. Likewise the same could be said about your own, and its people.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Indeed. Commonalities.
Khadgar says [orcish]: What were you hoping to speak on, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Changes. As you have guessed, there have been many changes in the Horde.
Khadgar says [orcish]: So it seems. Warchief was the title, yes?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Yes. redefined, but yes. My responsibilities lie in dealing with external forces. Either with force or with words.
Khadgar says [orcish]: I presume you are intending on dealing with Gul’dan using the first, yes?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Yes. The forces behind Gul’dan and the Legion need to be dealt with. Some I have hope for, but Gul’dan, alas, is too competent to be allowed to live.
Khadgar says [orcish]: There are worse reasons to not be allowed to live, I suppose, but I believe that’ for the best.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: It was meant as a compliment.
Khadgar says [orcish]: You are unexpectedly kind to your enemies, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Kind is not the word I would use. But respect is important.
Khadgar says [orcish]: So what happens after you bring this rogue warlock to justice?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: We begin the work of forging the Horde’s future. Obviously that will be a complicated thing given how far we have come, and what we have done on the road to here. Many corpses litter that path.
Khadgar says [orcish]: Indeed.

Khadgar is clearly trying to figure out what Arthak wanted by approaching him.

Khadgar says [orcish]: I don’t presume you are seeking to find aid from me?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: When last we spoke, you said you were a man who did not want to look back and realize he had missed his chance.
Khadgar says [orcish]: What chance are you referring to?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: A chance to tip balances and change the course. Things are going to be complicated in the days to come, even after our victory here. You have acted as a back channel in a sense for Nyxxa.
Khadgar says [orcish]: I have.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Should and when the time comes, I ask if you would ask a back channel for me.
Khadgar says [orcish]: That is a dangerous request, warchief.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I know.
Khadgar says [orcish]: It is also a promise I cannot make here. Not alone. As I’m sure you know, the Kirin Tor is a neutral organization. One that is allied with the Alliance. The same Alliance your people have warred against. Even if you are trying to build a future of peace, your peace won’t be something that can be simply brushed beneath the rug.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Nor should it be. And I’m not looking to extract a promise now. This is laying groundwork.
Khadgar says [orcish]: What I can tell you is this. The Kirin Tor is a neutral magical organization that strives to protect Azeroth. If you are ever going to prove that your people would be worthy of being considered a friend of the Kirin Tor, you have a great deal of work before you reach that point. Now, if you can, then you would get no opposition from me. But there are allies of the Kirin Tor, friends for many years, who would take a great deal of convincing. Convincing that we are not going to be doing on your behalf. But the fact you are asking me is promising, at least. You have a lot of work ahead of you, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I always do. Ultimately we are here to save Azeroth. Should we succeed and prevent a Legion invasion… might that be something you could report to your organization?
Khadgar says [orcish]: It’s something I will be telling my colleagues. But I will also be required to inform them it was a problem of your own creation. But I see what you’re doing, Arthak, and I respect that. If there’s one thing you don’t need to worry about, it’s me taking a biased stance against you. I have reason to understand the place you come from, and I also see the respect that Nyxxa gives to you. I know that would not be given to someone without good reason.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: Likewise to you. Were it not for Nyxxa’s trust, we would not be having this conversation, nor the rest.
Khadgar says [orcish]: But keep catching Gul’dans, Arthak. Eventually it may be enough. And if it’s not in your lifetime, then well… at least you’ll have gotten it started. Lets focus on this Gul’dan first, yes?
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: He will be taken care of.
Khadgar says [orcish]: I’ll provide what assistance I can. Regardless of personal desires, we have a common enemy. That I recognize. You need not fear reprisal from me. You have plenty of that to face on your own.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I cannot begrudge what is justly deserved. It is what it is.
Khadgar says [orcish]: I wish you the best of luck, Arthak, and I hope the dream it seems you have, is one you can realize someday. If you are the man you seem to be, that is.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I seem to be many things to many people. We’ll have to see. Thank you for your time, archmage.
Khadgar says [orcish]: Of course. And should you and your friends need anything, I conjured up some sweets for the young dragons. You’re welcome to them.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: I’m not one for sweets, but I’ll pass that along.
Khadgar says [orcish]: Something told me that would be the case.
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: If you have coffee, however, I’d be glad to.
Khadgar says [orcish]: Let's save that for the morning, my friend!
Arthak Saurfang says [orcish]: …If that’s your wish.

Zar’Kaa went to go and find Runas after he was done doing his tasks, and he found Runas on his back just staring at the sky.

Zar'Kaa says: No time for rest now.
Runas says: Is there anything I can do to help you? I had no idea baby dragons could be… so… needy…

Runas sat up.

Runas says: I’m here to help.
Zar'Kaa says: Good.

Zar’Kaa yanked Runas up to his feet and they went off so that Zar’Kaa could get a good external examination of the elf.

Runas says: So what exactly are we doing?
Zar'Kaa says: Well. I’ve been learning a bit lately about people, when their physiology is dependent on a source of magic, taking that away affects their biology. You match that parameter. So I’m checking out what’s going on with you.
Runas says: You’re not going to dissect me, are you?
Zar'Kaa says: This isn’t the first time I’ve done this.
Runas says: Dissecting me!?

Zar’Kaa put his spear and axe to the side.

Zar'Kaa says: Better?
Runas says: No!
Zar'Kaa says: Alright. I won’t dissect you.
Runas says: That’s all I needed! I want to keep my organs on the inside, generally. So whatever you need, I can open my mouth, turn my head and cough… whatever you need.

There does seem to be similarities to the waned elves, but it's not exact. The condition seemed to be affecting Runas’s behavior in a different way from the waned elves. He was entirely dependent on magic, while the waned actually were not. It seemed Runas had, so far, been able to stave off degenerating further through getting lucky in finding what stores of magic he could.

Zar'Kaa says: So. When you get back to the hold, I might put you in touch with another person who has similar interests. Her name is Shinfel. She’s… helpful. Really smart. Just don’t let yourself be examined by her alone.
Runas says: Okay. Would she be trying to dissect me?
Zar'Kaa says: I… don’t… know…
Runas says: I’ll keep an eye out for this Shinfel! But, well, I’m glad that I could be of assistance… if there’s anything Runas can do for you, let me know.
Zar'Kaa says: I’ll keep you updated. Based on what I’ve learned so far, who knows, we could find a better alternative for you.
Runas says: I jusst assumed I’d be like this forever!
Zar'Kaa says: I’m not an expert on magic. But there are plenty at the hold that are. I have a mage with my crew. We can see what we can pull together.
Runas says: I haven’t had this many people fretting over me for a while!
Zar'Kaa says: I spent a lot of time alone too. I know what’s that like.
Runas says: If you ever need a friend, you know who to ask!

Sol entered the room.

Sol'chi says: Zar’Kaa, Runas, how are things?
Runas says: I didn’t get dissected!
Zar'Kaa says: We’re wrapping up. I made some notes, but there’s not much we can do from here.
Sol'chi says: I have some questions. How long have you been an exile?
Runas says: It’s been at least a couple of decades. I’ve lost track of the years, however. I was an exile long enough that at least ten years into my exile I did see a comet once that burned brilliant violet in the western sky. Oh, and I think I was here before that thing showed up! Whatever Senegos was talking about. The disruption. But I can’t say, I don’t use magic. If that’s a fram of reference. But it’s been a minute. It’s been a few minutes…
Sol'chi says: I just need to organize my thoughts on that.
Runas says: I think I’m the only one that’s been able to make it out here that long.
Sol'chi says: Have you met any others with their minds?
Runas says: I have. But eventually they turn on you. They get desperate and all your magic gets sucked from you like an arcwine juice box.
Sol'chi says: If you know of anyone else, maybe we can find them as well. And maybe they'll have more information.
Runas says: Of course. Few of the exiles leave the Suramar area. Less competition out here! So I bounce around. But most will be closer to Suramar.
Sol'chi says: I imagine there are more mindless withered as well?
Runas says: Oh yes. Wherever you find nightfallen, you’ll find withered as well. That’s what we’re referred to as. Nightfallen. But old Runas is an expert.
Sol'chi says: Well. Thank you. Once you get to the hold, you’re welcome to the magical mansion there.
Runas says: I beg your pardon?
Sol'chi says: There is a magical mansion in the hold that produces food. It should last for another 7 or 8 days.
Runas says: All magic in there??
Sol'chi says: Yes.
Runas says: Maybe this gig won’t be so bad after all! I appreciate your generosity and kindness. If there’s anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask.
Sol'chi says: Your best behavior.
Runas says: That goes without saying! But you can still say it! Not my place to tell you otherwise!
Sol'chi says: Alright. Zar’Kaa, Runas, let me know if you need anything. I have some divinations at my disposal, but not many.
Zar'Kaa says: We should be good for the night. But appreciate it nonetheless.
Sol'chi says: Take care.
Zar'Kaa says: Likewise. You.

He pointed at Runas.

Runas says: Me?
Zar'Kaa says: Yeah.
Runas says: I don’t need anything!
Zar'Kaa says: Don’t go wandering off.
Runas says: of course! I won’t go anywhere! The last thing I want to do is make anyone worried! I am right here, not going nowhere!
Zar'Kaa says: Uh huh. Okay. Get some rest.

Nyxxa had sat down to unpack everything and was smoking her pipe.

Khadgar says: Is that new, Nyxxa?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Yes. Normal tobacco doesn’t work anymore, but this does!

Khadgar smiled.

Khadgar says: No where did you get your hands on this?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I made it.
Khadgar says: Yourself?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Yes, based on some notes that makes poison work on demons.
Khadgar says: Impressive! Both the research on toxins that can work on demons as well as this. Can I look at this?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Of course!

Nyxxa also gave him some of the toxins and Khadgar looked at it with fascination.

Khadgar says: Incredibly clever! You know, this would probably work against the undead as well. Worth giving it a shot.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Good to know!
Khadgar says: And the craftsmanship on this pipe is impressive. And it’s a creative enchantment as well. What do you call it?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: A pipe?
Khadgar says: You know… we actually have things like this at Dalaran as well.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Really?
Khadgar says: Yes. They are called Khadgar’s pipe of insight.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Oh! So you… made them.
Khadgar says: I have one with me right here! I think I may have used it in front of you before but I don’t think I let you use it. Unfortunately, I am the one responsible for creating these, so I do own a patent. So you making this is actually a big problem, Nyxxa.

Nyxxa’s ears flatten.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Are you going to have to kill me?
Khadgar says: I will have to sue you.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: What’s suing?
Khadgar says: It’s a legal process. It could come out to anything. Reparations for damages… sometimes one being sentenced to death.

Nyxxa has an expression of pure dread.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I’m so sorry.
Khadgar says: Nyxxa. I can’t joke about this anymore. You look like you’re going to cry. I do own the patent, but I won’t sue you. You aren’t trying to sell it, I wouldn’t win. And I won’t sue you anyway, Nyxxa, I’m just joking!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Okay…
Khadgar says: I apologize. I thought it might be a bit of teasing.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s fine! I… they kill people on Argus for that sort of thing.
Khadgar says: Ah. Well that was careless of me to bumble into, so I apologize.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s okay… it’s… actually quite funny. I’m sure we’ll laugh at this soon!
Khadgar says: And I suppose great minds do think alike!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I’m glad you think so. I didn’t mean to!
Khadgar says: Not a problem! I’m impressed you created it. And I wasn’t joking when I said the craftsmanship was top notch.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Thank you! I… was looking to find you. There was the matter of what Sol mentioned earlier.
Khadgar says: Yes. The matter he was discussing.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Sol is Azgadaan. Who he is now.
Khadgar says: I see! That makes sense.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That’s a secret, obviously, but he trusts you.
Khadgar says: I shan’t be sharing it, he need not worry. Not to mention the information won’t be all that relevant. But that does make sense, given he is now working with you and the Horde that has rebelled.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Yes. And it’s his identity now.
Khadgar says: I see! Well. Good for him. Reinventing oneself is something that transcends realty really.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s true. Though, there was also something I meant to tell you on Outland but never got the chance to… you remember Kirin’var village, yes?
Khadgar says: Yes.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Um… well… in the case that comes out in the future, Sol actually died there. And we had to bring him back. That was also why Arthak changed his mind on meeting you too. I was afraid to tell you. I didn’t want you… I was worried you might think I was trying to make you feel guilty. I didn’t tell Vargoth either. I wasn’t in the best place tod efend your decision. So…
Khadgar says: It’s for the best you left that out. I’m glad you told me. I know the circumstances were dangerous, but I didn’t know it would be that dangerous. I’m glad he was able to recover, especially given the status of Outland… that may have been the end of him otherwise.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We needed to go to Argus to get a resurrection, but we are fortunate we could get him back.
Khadgar says: I’m sure that was harrowing.

Nyxxa nodded.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Doubly so now that, you know, he took my name. I adopted him.

Khadgar smiled.

Khadgar says: I believe that you will do a fantastic job as his guardian. You are a creature with boundless compassion, and I’m sure he’s glad to have you watching over him.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I only hope that I take care of him well and that you’re right. It’s also funny. I recently adopted a murloc too.
Khadgar says: A murloc?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Murky!
Khadgar says: Murlocs are a fascinating people. Very different from what most would recognize, but they have a very deep and rich history, just one that most people can’t understand.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Murky is but a hatchling, so.
Khadgar says: Well, if he is half as brave and strong as his mother, he will become a paragon!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: You’re making me blush!
Khadgar says: I promise that’s only partially intentional!

Nyxxa was wagging her tail.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Well, I guess you were right about me. About becoming a satyr. I learned some things…

She quickly summarized what she had learned.

Khadgar says: I see. I had a hunch that that might be the case. Someone does not… the kindness that you display is not one that is… it reminds me more of flexing an old muscle rather than a new behavior. I can’t explain how or why, but just a hunch.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I appreciate it nonetheless! And… I’m glad it’s part of me.
Khadgar says: We are the sum of our parts, but we choose how that sum comes to build itself. But I’m glad. And again, I do hope to aid your people with all your hopes to put an end to the Legion here. If there’s anything I can do to help you, Nyxxa, in your quest to reinvent yourself, you don’t even need to a sk.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I appreciate that more than you know.
Khadgar says: It’s the least I can do after everything you’ve done.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s nothing I wouldn’t have done anyway.
Khadgar says: Exactly.

There was a long pause, and Nyxxa’s blush deepend.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Khadgar, there is one more thing. I… I suppose more than a warning.
Khadgar says: A warning? For what?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I feel as though I’ve grown a weakness to your kindness.
Khadgar says: How do you mean?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I mean… with the kindness you’ve shown me, I think I might be feeling more than friendship for you, and if you would give me an additional kindness, I ask that you turn me down gently please!
Khadgar says: Oh.

There was a long pause.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I do not wish to… make things awkward between us.
Khadgar says: No no no, you don’t need to worry about that, Nyxxa. First off, regardless of how this conversation plays out, I will always be your friend, for as many years as I have left in me. But…

He laughed softly.

Khadgar says: Well, I guess I should… I am touched. I never even intended that to be the case, nor did I expect it would.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Something I never intended to…
Khadgar says: No. That is also something I disagree with. Your capacity to love is a strength. Never apologize for that. If everyone in this world had the capacity to love, I think we would have fewer wars to fight. But I don’t talk about myself in such ways often. I talked to you about my life before. About my early years. When I met Medivh. Anachronos. And the people that built me into who I am today. All of my life, I was trained. I was under the impression for so long I would be the next Guardian, that the time would come where I would take up the mantle and protect all beings of Azeroth. I’ll admit, when I was very young at the Kirin Tor, I engaged in a few childhood romances. A fling here, a lover there. Nothing serious. But when I went to Karazhan, well, everything began to change. I began to see the world differently, and people differently. In time, I realized that, well… the love that I had felt for those schoolyard romances… it wasn’t how most people feel. Now, with Medivh as my teacher, I had quite the lecher to compare to. Rarely had he ever ceased his chasing of skirts, but… I asked him once why he had never taken an actual lover. His mother had. So why had he not. He told me it was because he was afraid. Now I shouldn’t be airing Medivh’s dirty laundry, but I’m still cross with him, so I don’t mind. He was… he never had the choice to be the Guardian. He was born for the purpose. And it nearly robbed him of his life, and did rob him of his freedom. He took it in stride, but I always felt there was a distance. Like he felt like he wasn’t even human. Like myself and Anduin were the only ones he could ever open up to. Then when Andruin passed away during the troll wars, I was the only one left. But I never had that. That distance. I think it’s because I could have walked away and said no, and I could have chosen my path. And my capacity to love others changed with it. Nyxxa, I do love you. But it is in the same way I love Medivh, the way I loved Anduin Lothar, the way I loved my most beloved companions. And the way I love everyone I come across. I know now, well, at my age, I may never become the next Guardian. I don’t know. Mayhap I will. I’ll serve a tenure of my own for a century. Or maybe I will not. But in that time, I don’t see myself… feeling… I never see myself with a romantic partner. So I guess, in a rather roundabout verbose way, what I’m trying to say, is I would be honored to spend some of my life with you, but it’s not going to be in the way you would wish. I hope that’s okay.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I just wish to be your friend.
Khadgar says: Well that you have unconditionally.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: As long as you can be someone I can count on, and I can be someone you can count on.
Khadgar says: Nyxxa, you taught me things I wouldn’t imagine. You reminded me I’m never too old to learn. I’d be honored to continue being your friend. But if my presence ever brings you pain or sorrow, Nyxxa, just tell me.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I don’t think it could. Besides, it would be irresponsible of me to take a romantic partner right now. That’s not what I’m looking for. I don’t know if I’m capable of that anymore.
Khadgar says: That I know isn’t true.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I… I can’t in good conscience.
Khadgar says: Then do it in bad conscience, Nyxxa. You deserve to follow your heart, and you deserve happiness. I can only imagine the courage it took to tell me.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It was… just a warning… So long as we stay at each other’s side, that is all I want.

Khadgar wrapped an arm around Nyxxa’s shoulder.

Khadgar says: That sounds nice.

Nyxxa sighed.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: On the matter of learning, I actually started writing notes if you’d be interested!
Khadgar says: How about we go over it and light these babies up!

He held up the pipe.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I’d like that!

Khadgar smiled, and there is a sadness in his eyes, but there is also a joy in being able to share the moment, and there's a certain degree of closeness there.

Arthak went to go find some place to meditate, and he glimpsed Nyxxa, who looked genuinely happy.

Arthak Saurfang says: Have a good conversation, Nyxxa?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I told him the truth, and we are to be friends for the rest of our days.
Arthak Saurfang says: So you got what you wished for?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I did!
Arthak Saurfang says: Good. I am happy for you. So I imagine Lantresor and Altruis are next then?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: …What?
Arthak Saurfang says: Your tail, Nyxxa. Still.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: U-um… I just like to be around them. My tail wags for other reasons, Arthak!
Arthak Saurfang says: When they are talking and they say something you appreciate it’s the same manner of swishing your tail. I assume you had realized. My apologies.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I haven’t really had much time to think about it given… gods dammit… I thought I was done!
Arthak Saurfang says: They are both individuals whose wisdom you respect and have been kind. I assumed the pattern would have been obvious to you. Well. You may want to have some similar conversations with those two.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Now that you mention it… the pattern makes sense.
Arthak Saurfang says: When it comes to men there’s a certain personality you are attracted to. With women it’s priestesses it seems.

Nyxxa blinked.

Arthak Saurfang says: You also had not thought of that, have you?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Kor’vas made that… clear as well. Well… thank you for pointing this out again.

She walks by and taps Arthak on his pauldron.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: But at this pace you better stop being nice to me too.
Arthak Saurfang says: We already know where that is.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: As you said, there’s a pattern. It’s not like I can control it, it seems!

Nyxxa had taken out her pipe and was smoking it as she started to walk away, speaking over her shoulder..

Arthak Saurfang says: You… should watch your tail. And we already understand where I am in those sorts of areas. So.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Thanks Arthak. I appreciate your friendship.
Arthak Saurfang says: Likewise, Nyxxa. Good luck.

Arthak found somewhere to sit down and meditate on what he had learned. There were clearly different varieties of giants on Azeroth, some of which were called Keepers or Watchers, which seemed to be worshiped as gods. It was likely best to find out what those entities were, potentially through the vrykul.

As he meditated on the origin story of the orcs, where the ogres descended from the gronn, and orcs from ogres. Grond, the primordial giant that Draenor was, was believed to be the blood of the mountain that spawned the gronn, ogres, orcs, and likewise. It was possible the powers that Arthak was tapping into were leading him on a path that could take him in a direction that may lead him back up that ancestral path. Everything seemed to tie back into building worlds, and then protecting them. Theoretically, it could be that Grond had been placed on Draenor specifically to kill the Evergrowth. There was a consideration that, perhaps, he could become a part of the Azerothian infrastructure in a similar way.

Arthak opted to try and get a map of the leylines across the islands. He was directed to Stellagosa.

Stellagosa says: The leylines would be considered the blood vessels of the world. Protecting them is… ensuring they are safeguarded is the charge of the blue dragonflight. I would be remiss to share that information with any mortal. I’m sorry.
Arthak Saurfang says: Interesting. So. Each of your flights serves a similar purpose, then? The circulatory system is the blue dragonflight. There was a reference to a different aspect that was given a different charge by Khaz’goroth.
Stellagosa says: Yes. The black dragons, before they betrayed the others, their responsibility was to shape the mountains and safeguard the deep places of the earth.
Arthak Saurfang says: So the deep places of the world is also part of the construction. There is purpose behind them?
Stellagosa says: I suppose. I don’t know much. I was born after the War of the Ancients. I’ve never actually met a black dragon. I’ve barely met dragons of the other flights. But if you can ever meet a black dragon that wasn’t trying to kill you, perhaps they could tell you. The red dragonflight are guardians of life. The green dragonflight of nature and the Emerald Dream. The bronze dragonflight of time itself, actually.
Arthak Saurfang says: So continuity is by design. Life and nature are separate then?
Stellagosa says: I’m not an expert. I’m sorry.
Arthak Saurfang says: I don’t mean to pry into information beyond your purpose.
Stellagosa says: Senegos is friends with several red dragons. Perhaps he can tell you sometime. He went down for a nap, but there may be time to ask him in the future.
Arthak Saurfang says: Absolutely. Time. Life. I wonder if that’s sapient life versus ecosystems…
Stellagosa says: I’m not sure.
Arthak Saurfang says: Okay. Interesting. But then there are the Keepers who oversee other systems in this world… Hm… thank you for your time. This is interesting.
Stellagosa says: Of course. I’m glad to help.
Arthak Saurfang says: Have you considered the fact that this world is constructed, or perhaps shaped, with intricate systems of defense, perhaps even things are built with a purpose in mind?
Stellagosa says: Yes. That’s accurate.
Arthak Saurfang says: So what is the purpose?
Stellagosa says: To protect the world and its denizens.
Arthak Saurfang says: But if those denizens are also by design, then they serve a purpose.
Stellagosa says: Does something having a purpose exclude it from being a reason as well?
Arthak Saurfang says: No. But what if there is a deeper purpose. If you make a tool, it’s supposed to do something. What if Azeroth is supposed to do or be something. What if there is a purpose beyond all this work beyond just living here.
Stellagosa says: Entirely possible you’re correct. I can’t say I’ve ever considered it. I also don’t think knowing the truth will change my mind.
Arthak Saurfang says: I doubt if this world was built for a specific end goal it was a malevolent one. But it’s something to consider.
Stellagosa says: That would go even deeper than grandfather. If you have an opportunity to speak to an aspect or Keeper, perhaps they can tell you more. Good luck. If you find out more, let me know. I’m curious as well. Maybe in the future I can show you how we would go about tapping a leyline.

Arthak thanked Stellagosa again and went back to continue musing.

September 10th

Nethrandamus and Altruis were preparing to leave from the Azurewing Repose. Altruis smiled at Nyxxa as she went to see him off.

Altruis Shadowsong says: Did you sleep well?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Yes. Better than the last few nights, at least.
Altruis Shadowsong says: One day at a time. I’m glad to hear that.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Take care of yourself and be safe, especially with what we just learned.
Altruis Shadowsong says: Yeah, between Suramar, the Legion, this tomb of Sargeras… there’s a lot happening. But I’m not planning on taking any fights.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Good, but you may be heading straight into the fire.

Altruis nodded.

Altruis Shadowsong says: I promise i’ll look after myself. And Neth of course.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That I know. Neth is in capable hands.
Altruis Shadowsong says: But if we do not meet again, die well. But that being said…

Altruis moved closer to Nyxxa, and his hand slipped behind her back. He reached up and brushed some of Nyxxa’s hair away before kissing her. After a moment, he pulled back. Nyxxa was stunned.

Altruis Shadowsong says: Come back safe.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Don’t die. I don’t want you to die.

Altruis smiled.

Altruis Shadowsong says: Well. With that kind of encouragement. I have no choice.

Altruis moved away and headed over to Neth. He glanced back at Nyxxa with a smile before he flipped onto the dragon’s back and took off into the air.

Arthak Saurfang says: You really didn’t notice?

Nyxxa had her hand over her mouth as she unpacked the encountered. She jumped as Arthak spoke.

Arthak Saurfang says: You did not notice? You did not notice?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It’s been two days!
Arthak Saurfang says: That. Has been building for more than two days.

Nyxxa raised her cloak to her mouth and screamed into it.

Arthak Saurfang says: Now that Nyxxa has said goodbye to her mate…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: No. No! NO NO NO! We need to talk out what that is!
Zar'Kaa says: That looked pretty matey to me.
Arthak Saurfang says: Seconded.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I don’t do mates anymore. I can’t!
Arthak Saurfang says: Your tail disagrees. Still.
Zar'Kaa says: Is that how you tell?
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes.
Zar'Kaa says: Ohhhh.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Can we please stop roasting me in front of the blue dragons!

There was a blue drakonid that was trying not to laugh.

Sol'chi says: I’m going to let you figure that out.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: If this needs to continue, it can continue on the ship!

Sol resummoned his vehicle and they loaded up into it. The dragons, dragonspawn, and other draconic creatures bid them farewell. Emmigosa flew up to wave goodbye, and another dragon whelp sat up on Senegos’s head to see them off. Kalecgos, Khadgar, Tarecgosa, and Mordenaku shifted into their visage forms to also board the ship.

Khadgar says: Hm. Interesting vessel. You conjured this with magic?
Sol'chi says: Yup. It’s as real as you or me until the engine gets ruined.
Khadgar says: Well lets avoid that, shall we!

They took off and started to fly toward the Illidari Stand. The mountains started to give way to lowlands, and they could see lands that were ravaged by time and water. As they flew low over the lands, they passed over where they could see the ruined city of Nar’thalas, which they knew was just teeming with ghosts.

Nyxxa had been given signals to use to indicate they were a friendly unit so the people at the Illidari Stand didn’t panic. Sol used [Invisibility] to cover the vehicle in a cloaking device, and Nyxxa flew down to the Stand to give the signal that allowed the vessel to approach safely.

They could see the first bit of the island of Faronaar. They could see an active battle on a no man’s land. There were demons of different varieties holding the line and moving forward to skirmish. On the other side of the river was a kaldorei war camp. There were tons of night elves at the ready with night sabers as well as rows of archers that were loosing rains of arrows. However, all the elves were translucent. Not a single one was physically there. The arrows pierced the demons, and a group of felguard was melted into fel ichor, but then the arrows vanished.

Some of the night elves were cut down, but then they reformed again somewhere else. It was a constant skirmish.

Further out, there were the beginning parts of Legion infrastructure. As Sol looked through his looking glass, he could see a Legion ship that was docked. Sol recognized the ship. It was the Soul Render, which was one of Jaraxxus’s flag ships.

When the group landed at the Illidari Stand, they saw a small amount of demon hunters. Kor’vas was one of them, and she ran over to give Nyxxa a hug. Nyxxa heard another voice she had not heard since her arrival.

Familiar Voice says: Well if it isn’t the traitor in the flesh.

Nyxxa looked over and saw Izal Whitemoon, who gave her a smile. There were more beasts present than they were Illidari, specifically felbats and felsabers in addition to a small vilefiend. Izal put her hands on her hips.

Izal Whitemoon says: Glad the rumors were false though.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Incredibly exaggerated!

Izal held out her hands as she knew Nyxxa liked hugs, and Nyxxa summoned her wings and immediately tackled Izal. Nyxxa then summoned Mischief to show her off, and Izal was immediately entranced by the tiny cat as she asked if she could pet her. Nyxxa translated Mischief’s response, and Izal was completely blown away by the fact Nyxxa could understand the cat, and then hurried off to get a treat for the cat. Mischief declared that she liked Izal, and there was obvious relief on the demon hunter’s face.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I didn’t think that would be hard. The felsabers love you, after all.
Izal Whitemoon says: Well of course they do!

Nyxxa heard the felsabers talking amongst themselves, musing that they hoped Nyxxa was an enemy because they hungered for demon flesh. Mischief started to antagonize the felsabers, and Nyxxa threatened that she would scoop her if she didn’t stop. The cat eventually relegated herself to curl up on Nyxxa’s shoulders.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Everyone, this is Izal.
Izal Whitemoon says: Wonderful to meet you. Izal Whitemoon. All the felbats have been lovingly trained by yours truly, including the Slayer’s queen. If you need transportation, let me know. I’ve been keeping eyes on the situation here, and keeping the other emissaries appraised. I heard you got a promotion Nyxxa, I guess you’re my boss.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: …wow.
Izal Whitemoon says: Seems you saw the situation. We don’t want to approach the ghosts, because this has been a valuable listening post for us.
Zar'Kaa says: So… what’s the Legion doing trying to fight a bunch of ghosts. What do they want?
Izal Whitemoon says: Fantastic question. The Legion arrived here in Faronaar a month or two ago. When they tried to make their way further east, they began to run into the territory of the ghosts of Nar’thalas. They didn’t take kindly to that. Since then, they’ve been marching on the demons. They never push into Faronaar, they seem to dissipate. I have a feeling it has to do with the curse that binds them there. We’ve listened in on them as much as we can, and they seem to believe it’s still the War of the Ancients. I don’t think they realize the city is destroyed. They spoke of a man. His name is Prince Farondis.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I know that name! Someone I knew was from the city before it was destroyed. She spoke of him often.
Izal Whitemoon says: He doesn’t seem popular. Every other word is a curse on his name.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: He was beloved before…
Izal Whitemoon says: Well you can tell that to the ghosts, but I don’t think they’ll listen.
Arthak Saurfang says: Do we have any insight to the Legion’s objectives? Are they trying to get into the city?
Izal Whitemoon says: We aren’t sure. They seem to be preparing for something. They are summoning in creatures from the Nether. I’m not sure what they would find in the city. I know the Vault of the Wardens is south of here, but I don’t know why they wouldn’t try to make landfall there unless they are trying to cover their strike. The Wardens would be prepared for them, I suppose.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Perhaps this was a territory easier to hold. They probably weren’t expecting ghosts.
Izal Whitemoon says: No. And Faronaar was an easy win for them. One concern is that they’ll eventually seek to try and capture the spirits to use them in one of their soul engines. We will try to sabotage them where necessary.
Zar'Kaa says: Is there any count of their numbers?
Izal Whitemoon says: The demons? Plenty. They have orcs here as well, though it doesn’t seem to be the bulk. This group is primarily demons.
Arthak Saurfang says: Have you identified any banners?
Izal Whitemoon says: They would be associated with the Stormreavers.
Arthak Saurfang says: That makes sense. The most experienced warlocks, and the best equipped to bring reinforcements.
Izal Whitemoon says: I don’t like it. Things have gotten more complicated too.
Azgadaan says: It seems these are my father’s forces here.
Izal Whitemoon says: You are Azgadaan? So your father is Jaraxxus.
Azgadaan says: Yes.
Izal Whitemoon says: Well, if he’s present here, we’re going to have our work cut out for us.
Arthak Saurfang says: You said this had gotten more complicated?
Izal Whitemoon says: Right. That leads us to this.

She looked at Kor’vas.

Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: On my way over here, my felbat picked up on something. We investigated and found a dead drop of some kind. It’s encrypted.

She pulled out a small slate that was recognizable as Legion.

Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: It’s in eredun, but we can’t make heads or tails of it. I’m far from an expert in this.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I have something for this!

Nyxxa pulled out the Raven’s Eye that Illysanna had given her and looked at the slate. The slate was immediately decoded and translated before her eyes, and another line of text superimposed itself almost like a comment that described what was being communicated.

A, things are getting hot here, have you figured out what J is doing yet? Any allies? Need to find them. Can’t do this alone. Haven’t heard from Z or T. Let me know if you hear anything. Dark Titan (don’t) watch over us. Y.

It was a clandestine communication between two people. The two people were seeking to discover what J (likely Jaraxxus) is doing, as they needed to get allies, how it seemed it was not in line with what the Legion desired on the island.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Oh. Spicy! That’s fun. This is useful. It seems two people are working against your father, and potentially some others. How long ago did you find this?
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: Yesterday.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It might be good to return it.
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: I was thinking that, and staking the place out. If they are seditionists, we might be those allies. I’ll be careful. If it’s a trap I don’t intend to fall for it.
Azgadaan says: Good idea.
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: But this is huge. If we can get some allies on the inside…
Arthak Saurfang says: You were talking about sabotage.
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: We were.
Azgadaan says: This seems like a small operation.
Arthak Saurfang says: And having more communication means higher risk of discovery.
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: It was pretty far north on Faronaar.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Plus it’s probably a bit too encrypted to be a trap.
Izal Whitemoon says: Knowing that cipher isn’t a bad idea, in case we run into anything else.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I can run it to Sol so he can take a look at it in the vehicle.
Izal Whitemoon says: I’d appreciate that. We’ll keep an eye on everything and let you know if we find out anything. Or at least let Jace know, and he’ll let you know. There have been sightings of giants to the south. I don’t know how much help they’d be, but I wager they have opinions of their own about all this.
Arthak Saurfang says: Vrykul?
Izal Whitemoon says: No. Sea giants. We’ve avoided them for security’s sake. You can always look into them, and of course further south is the Isle of the Watchers. If they let you know Lady Whisperwind was with you, maybe they won’t throw you in the prison…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I don’t think they’d believe me.
Izal Whitemoon says: Yeah. That’s fair.
Zar'Kaa says: These Watchers are kaldorei?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: They are in charge of the laws and imprisoning those that go outside the laws.
Izal Whitemoon says: Which is us!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Even with Lady Whisperwind’s approval, especially given she is no longer high priestess, I don’t think that would do much.
Izal Whitemoon says: Oh shit. Whose the high priestess now?
Kor'vas Bloodthorn says: Maiev Shadowsong.
Izal Whitemoon says:What? Damn. We did miss a lot. But yeah, they’d probably want to hear from the new high priestess herself. But they might be useful allies, if you decide to look into it.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Maybe we can ask them to write a missive. But honestly wardens are best when left to their own devices.
Izal Whitemoon says: Oh! We have also reported shipwrecks on the southeastern edge of Azsuna. If you are up for some treasure hunting, you can look there, but I’m sure you aren’t the first ones to have that idea.
Zar'Kaa says: perhaps if we were looking for something specific. But that doesn’t sound like a priority.
Izal Whitemoon says: In that case, you probably want to avoid it.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We could pass it onto the Reliquary. They are interested in relics.
Izal Whitemoon says: True! But that’s the situation here. I can give you a basic map of the region as we identified it.
Zar'Kaa says: We’ll make some headway. I think the hold is our immediate destination?
Arthak Saurfang says: We need to report back to the Slayer, and then work out our next objective.

Izal handed them a small felsteel rod that was engraved with the name Illidari Stand on it.

Izal Whitemoon says: This should help you return here. I was told you had magic to facilitate that?
Azgadaan says: We do.
Izal Whitemoon says: Well good. That should help. In the meantime, it’s good to see you again Nyxxa. Master Hunter.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: You’ll be a master hunter before you know it. And maybe the Slayer will let you keep your position.
Izal Whitemoon says: She better, or I’m saying no. Take well all of you. If we don’t meet again, die well.

There was also a moment where Kor’vas and Khadgar were formally introduced as well. When they returned to the ship, Zuni smacked his head on the invisible doorway.

Zuni says: Found the ceiling! Found it! I’m okay!

Sol used [Teleport] to get the ship back to the Black Rook Hold. The new arrivals look around immediately.

Kalecgos says: This place is steeped in history. I can practically feel the magic.
Tarecgosa says: Are you sure that wasn’t the fact we just teleported here?
Kalecgos says: Maybe you’re right.

Khadgar walked by one of the large sigils of House Ravencrest and the raven on it.

Khadgar says: I like their sense of decoration around here.

The first thing that the group saw when they arrived was the Slayer. She was over in the arena that was empty aside from the initiates that were staring into it, as swooping around the arena on massive wings was Senegos. However, his form was translucent and light blue, indicating it was probably an illusion.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Oh. He beat us here.
Arthak Saurfang says: He’s providing the report for us. Alright.

Jace was also present, and they turned to greet the group.

Projection of Senegos says: Ah! My friends, it does seem I beat you here.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: You do have tricks!
Projection of Senegos says: Please. Flying here myself would have been a hassle, but to project my conscencess a few hundred miles is nothing for a dragon my age.
Zar'Kaa says: Yeah. None of us can do that.

Senegos landed in the area.

Projection of Senegos says: Perhaps if you were a dragon. Though I wouldn’t be opposed to teaching a few tricks if you were interested in learning.
Zar'Kaa says: I think I might.
Projection of Senegos says: I was just filling in your Slayer on the results of your visit. I hope that is alright. I promise to keep the embarrassing parts to myself.

He winked at Nyxxa.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: They’ll know soon enough…
Projection of Senegos says: We reached an understanding. Though our resources are limited, safeguarding the world is the calling of all the dragonflights. So I will aid in what ways I can.

Illysanna smiled down at them.

Illysanna Ravencrest says: It seems that you continue to impress with your dedication to your duties, Nyxxa.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Thank you. Fortunately this was easy to clear up. It seems it was just a misunderstanding.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: I didn’t expect such a genial dragon to be in charge.
Projection of Senegos says: Flattery will get you nowhere, Lady Ravencrest, but I do appreciate it.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: You can’t blame a girl for trying.

The warband went into the full report of the situation, as well as introducing the new arrivals.

Khadgar says: It’s a pleasure to meet you Miss Ravencrest!
Illysanna Ravencrest says: You can call me the Slayer.
Khadgar says: Of course! I would like to pledge my assistance! Normally it would be the responsibility of my dear friend and mentor, as the Guardian of Tirisfal, but seeing he is absent at the moment, I would be remiss if I did not pick up his slack.

Velameestra Windrunner, drawn to the commotion of the arrival of what seemed to be a massive draconic illusion, had wandered into earshot just in time to hear Khadgar’s statement, and she immediately froze upon seeing him.

Velameestra Windrunner says: A-archmage Khadgar?

Khadgar turned and looked at her with an equal amount of surprise.

Khadgar says: Velameestra Windrunner! You’re supposed to be dead.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Yes. Um. I suppose I should inform you that the Guardian is back. We… found him. While we were… dead.
Khadgar says: I beg your pardon?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Medivh is back at Karazhan.
Khadgar says: He’s… truly!?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Yes.
Khadgar says: He… one moment.

He turned back to address Illysanna.

Khadgar says: A slight change of plans, Slayer, I need to go and collect the Guardian of Tirisfal. Once I return, however, *then* I will pledge myself to aiding in the repelling of the Legion threat. With the Guardian as well!

Khadgar then turned back to Vel.

Khadgar says: How did you find him!?
Velameestra Windrunner says: He was… actually on Kalimdor. Across the sea. Imprisoned by the kaldorei. We… broke him out. That’s the short of it.
Khadgar says: Fascinating. Well I suppose it’s serendipitous that you were able to rescue him on top of your other duties! I wouldn’t mind talking to you a bit more briefly. Before I go. But thank you for telling me.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Of… course. I was… not expecting to see you here.
Khadgar says: I was not expecting to see you here! But full glad am I that you are! We can speak later. I apologize for the start.
Velameestra Windrunner says: As you will.

The simulacrum made herself scarce as Khadgar turned back to the warband, Nyxxa could see a look of overwhelming shock and joy on his face.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That’s great news!
Arthak Saurfang says: What is this Guardian? Out of curiosity?
Khadgar says: A special individual chosen by a conglomeration of mages that is charged with the protection of the world against the Burning Land. Medivh went missing after the violet star fell. Seems he was rediscovered and returned. I will need to go and speak to him. He’s a dear friend. The fact he’s alive is… ha! Absolutely wonderful!
Arthak Saurfang says: Interesting. Congratulations on your friend’s return.
Khadgar says: I will introduce you once I drag him back by his ear. His knowledge will be invaluable.
Arthak Saurfang says: Is this Guardian position connected to the blue flight?
Khadgar says: No. But members have befriended the blue dragons in the past.
Arthak Saurfang says: Interesting. Thank you.
Zar'Kaa says: I have a question about that too. This… Medivh. He’s the first guardian, or just the most recent?
Khadgar says: Heavens no. The position is about as old as the kingdom of Dalaran itself.
Arthak Saurfang says: Which is?
Khadgar says: One of the kingdoms of the Eastern Kingdoms.
Arthak Saurfang says: The age.
Khadgar says: Oh. Yes. Back to the time of the first troll wars. About three thousand years. The first magic was taught to the humans by the elves, and Dalaran was founded by those first human mages. The Guardian of Tirisfal was established by many of them, as well as their elven allies, including some unfortunate folk who are no longer with us.
Arthak Saurfang says: Ah. Interesting.
Zar'Kaa says: Yeah.
Khadgar says: I will explain to him the nuances of the situation here. Complex as it obviously is…

He looked out across the orcs, the forest trolls, the high elves, the Illidari, and others.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We’ll be glad to get whatever help we can get.
Sol'chi says: So with the disturbance… wouldn’t going to get him take a long time?
Khadgar says: Theoretically, yes, but I should be able to manage.
Zar'Kaa says: So we won’t see you for a while?
Khadgar says: A short time. I need to reach the Guardian, speak with him, and ensure his business is finished. Don’t wait for us, but hopefully we won’t miss out on all the fun.
Zar'Kaa says: Just some of it.
Arthak Saurfang says: Best of luck on your travels, and your ear pullings.
Khadgar says: Perhaps more than just his ear.
Arthak Saurfang says: I don’t judge.
Khadgar says: 'Ere I leave, I wouldn’t mind getting a closer look at this place. That I can handle myself. The rest of you… I imagine you’ll be leaving before I, so we’ll have time to speak. I should make introductions. I have a feeling I might know some people here.
Sol'chi says: Let them know we have our friend here, Runas. And… let Shinfel know we have cadavers.

Sol opened his demiplane, and Shinfel seemingly just materialized alongside Zaeneas.

Zaeneas Emberlight says: Holy shit, there are a lot of bodies in here.

Shinfel caressed one of the body’s cheeks.

Shinfel Blightsworn says: Wow… this will be absolutely delightful.

Runas swallowed hard.

Runas says: Are you sure she’s on our side?

Everyone confirmed.

Runas says: Very well. Shinfel Blightsworn, correct?

Shinfel looked up at him.

Shinfel Blightsworn says: That’s right.
Runas says: Runas! At your service.
Shinfel Blightsworn says: You’re beautiful.
Runas says: I beg your pardon?

Shinfel reached out and grabbed Runas’s hand.

Shinfel Blightsworn says: We’re going to have so much fun together.

Runas laughed nervously.

Runas says: I’m… sure of it… my lady…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Set boundaries and you’ll be fine, Runas!
Arthak Saurfang says: It’s too late.

Sol directed Runas at the camp of elves, and Shinfel said that she would introduce him once they were finished.

Illysanna Ravencrest says: So. What’s next on your list?
Zar'Kaa says: well. We received a number of different leads. One that seems to stick out to me is… the hammer of Khaz’goroth. It was apparently in Highmountain somewhere. It’s something that Gul’dan is likely to go after, and it’s better if sooner rather than later we obtain it first, before he can get his hands on it.
Sol'chi says: It holds the power to probably get to the underwater area guarded by the Xhilag.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: You believe this artifact would be a tool to further his goals. That would be a wise idea.
Zar'Kaa says: It’s a target.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Once we do that, I would say our next order of business should be Aszuna.
Zar'Kaa says: Yeah. There’s plenty to do down there.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: And there’s a time limit if the Legion is planning on turning the spirits there.
Arthak Saurfang says: Or something else. Agreed. That is an active situation. One that we cannot put off for too long.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: Of course, with the things we have in place, we will be able to keep as much information flowing as possible. If there are things that must be secured, go where you think you will do the most. We will do what we can to support you.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: In Aszuna, we can leave it in Kor’vas and Izal’s capable hands, and we’ll have more information to work with when we return.
Arthak Saurfang says: I concur with Zar’Kaa’s assessment. Highmountain gives an opportunity, and we may be able to acquire allies amongst the tauren.
Zar'Kaa says: Exactly. If it helps, I have limited experience with the tauren on Kalimdor. It might come in handy, even if just breaking the ice.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: It seems they are friendly people at least.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: There is also Trueshot Lodge. If you reach out to Shadewarden, they may offer a base of operations you can utilize.
Arthak Saurfang says: For a number of reasons, Stormheim is also of interest, but if we have an active lead to something Gul’dan may want, we should act on it.
Sol'chi says: It also gives time for some things to develop in Aszuna with the dead drop.
Zar'Kaa says: Well, at the very least, we ensured there are no more tensions between the dragonflight and the Illidari. Maybe we can count on them as an ally when we press the offensive on Aszuna.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: There is another thing. Nyxxa. You needed to find someone?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Yeah. I was going to see if Levia would be willing to scry on her. She received a vision of her, and can do so easily.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: That would be wise. If you can identify where she is, you can make plans to collect her. I understand she’ll be important for your personal mission.
Sol'chi says: If we successfully scry her tomorrow, technically if I see the location, we can try to teleport straight to her. It’s a bit iffy, especially here.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I fear… that would scare her.
Sol'chi says: Yes, scary, but almost as scary, we’re still going to be hunting her down.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: An option at least.
Illysanna Ravencrest says: I leave that in your hands, of course. But I understand the Reliquary and the night elves will be leaving. They will have representatives remaining behind, but if you want to speak to their leadership, do it before they leave.
Zar'Kaa says: We can speak with Tyrande and see if she can put in a word with the Wardens.

The group agreed to disperse briefly, and Jace showed them to the Nether Crucible, which is a flat piece of felsteel that resembled a mirror.

Jace Darkweaver says: All that one needs to do is attune to it, then one need only write the person’s name they wish to communicate with or scry upon. The name does need to be written in eredun across the surface.

Nyxxa attuned to the item and she focused herself into the object. She peered into the mirrored surface, and she almost felt like she was falling into it. She wrote Driana’s name in eredun. A trail of felfire followed the writing like oil burning on water.

The black reflective surface began to shift and change, and on the other side, Nyxxa saw Fallen, the satyr that she had not seen since a couple deaths back. She was inside some old ruins. She was alone, picking through wreckage.

Driana says: There has to be something here… I know it’s been a while… but… there has to be, right?

As she looked around, she started to get more and more frustrated.

Driana says: She acts like this place is no different than it was! But she never would have let it get to like this.

She kicked at a piece of debris.

Driana says: Damn you Ilanya!

She squealed and grabbed her hoof. Then there was another voice.

Feminine Voice says: Who goes there?

A night elf ghost stepped into the frame, and the satyr covered her mouth and then turned invisible. She backed into a corner as the night elven ghost looked around. She appeared to be wearing some sort of mage attire. In her translucent hand, a spell was prepared.

Highborne Ghost says: Is someone there?

Nyxxa could still see Driana, sheltered in the corner and completely silent. The ghost stepped down to the rubble and picked something up, but it wasn’t anything physical. It was a translucent ghost image of an item.

Highborne Ghost says: It seems this had fallen off the stand.

She moved over to where there was once a stand or a desk and placed what looked to be a portrait of some kind in place.

Highborne Ghost says: Oh Driana… please come back.

The satyr then bolted out of the room, still invisible. The clopping of the hooves drew the attention of the ghost, who declared for the hidden creature to stop, but there was weeping from Driana as she ran through the edge of the ruins of Nar’thalas. She ran until she couldn’t run anymore, and collapsed next to a crude lean-to. She started to sob into a moldy pillow, and the scrying ended.

Nyxxa’s fists were balled, and her claws were digging into her palms which made her fists start to bleed. Levia and Sol immediately snapped her out of it.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We know where she is. We can’t reach her until we go into Nar’thalas in earnest.
