Outland Day 1

Before settling in to rest, Nyxxa gathers Sadras, Halno and Lantresor after the group’s brief meeting.

Nyxxa says: Well Sadras, got you that meeting.
Sadras says: Yeah! Guess you did. Um. I… I don’t know if this is a good idea, but if you trust him, then it’s worth a shot, and… I mean, it’s probably not a trap, right? That seems like it would be a bit much.

Nyxxa nods.

Nyxxa says: He trusted me with a lot. At this point, if this was the long game, I’d be surprised.
Sadras says: Yeah, I guess there would be a better way to do that than this.

Nyxxa looks at Lantresor.

Nyxxa says: And I guess I accidentally drug you into this.

Lantresor smirks.

Lantresor says: When I agreed to come to the shattered bones of my home, I expected something like this would occur. I am neither surprised nor concerned with the results of this.
Nyxxa says: Still, wanted to apologize. It’s a lot to get drug into.
Lantresor says: This is by far not the worst thing I’ve been drug into, my friend. I acted as Samuro’s second for many years. Trust me, I am no stranger to surprises.
Nyxxa says: Well, now you got me curious.
Lantresor says: Stories for another time.
Nyxxa says: And what about you, Halno? You’re technically still an orc.
Halno says: I look forward to seeing what magical insights he has.
Nyxxa says: Fair enough. Though it goes without saying, I expect everyone to be on their best behavior.

She’s not looking at Halno. Largely because she has no eyes.

Nyxxa says: Plus there is the aspect of...

She gestures at Halno.

Halno says: I was expecting to introduce him to this immediately.
Nyxxa says: Ah.
Lantresor says: There is honor in honesty, even if there too is risk involved. Better for it to come out now than for that information to be outside your control.
Halno says: If he’s half as powerful as she thinks he is, he will find it out on his own. I’d rather tell him myself than him think she is holding something from him.
Nyxxa says: True. Best pull off the bandage at once.

Sadras grins, because Halno is in fact wearing bandages.

Sadras says: We’ll be ready if this is a trap, but I don’t think he is. He didn’t seem the deceptive sort, though my common isn’t perfect.
Nyxxa says: We’ll just practice on the way over. There is plenty of time to discuss on the way over, but this might be big.

Lantresor nods.

Lantresor says: I personally lack the capacities to communicate directly, so I’ll need help on that front.

Nyxxa nods.

Nyxxa says: That’s that. We should probably catch Azzy too to see what he wants to do…

She follows up with Azzy and he states he doesn’t want to hide himself and some other ideas he had.

Nyxxa says: Not bad… but we should probably see what he wants first before you bring these up?
Azgadaan says: Oh, of course. Not friends yet.
Nyxxa says: But, that was probably the best first impression she could have made, Azgadaan. I thought it was endearing.

Azgadaan chuckles.

Azgadaan says: It just sort of happens.
Nyxxa says: Best thing you can do!

Arthak also grabs Sadras while they are tending to the people in the village before heading to rest.

Sadras says: Hey. You sure you’ll be alright heading to Hellfire with just the two of you?
Arthak Saurfang says: We should be fine. Azuka’s gotten stronger and she has her new talents. And it’s not far. Um. Unless you want to come, but… I did want to talk about that I guess.

Sadras nods.

Sadras says: What is it?
Arthak Saurfang says: You, um… helping Nyxxa with her… whatever she’s doing. It’s good. It’s important work. But it does present something of… a difficulty.
Sadras says: I know. I don’t want to make things more difficult for you Arthak, but I feel like I need to do this. I need to start getting to know the people that our people are warring against.
Arthak Saurfang says: I understand and I applaud it, but… I promised you when last we were both here, I would tell you everything. But there is a… I don’t know most of what Nyxxa’s doing, and there are things Nyxxa doesn’t know that I’m doing, and there are good reasons for that.
Sadras says: You’re afraid I would compromise it.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m afraid I can’t keep that promise if you are working with Nyxxa.
Sadras says: I understand.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m sorry.
Sadras says: It’s fine, Arthak. You… you’ve compromised a lot trying to keep me in the loop, and I appreciate that, but I also know that you don’t like it. You’re doing it because you feel like you owe it to me, and you do, but I want you to be safe more than anything, and if that means I don’t get to be in the loop about everything you’re doing, I’ll manage. I won’t like it, but I’ll manage. I’m not the same person I was last time we were here, and neither are you, and I think that’s going to keep… I guess what I’m trying to say, is I understand.
Arthak Saurfang says: Thank you.
Sadras says: Just don’t forget you’re not alone in all this, alright?
Arthak Saurfang says: How could I?
Sadras says: I want you to take Summerpaw with you to Hellfire. She’s plenty strong enough to carry the two of you, and if she gives you flack, remind her of who you are. I can’t go, but if she’s there, it’ll be almost as good.
Arthak Saurfang says: Alright. That’s… not any trouble.

Sadras grabs Arthak’s hands and pushes her forehead against his.

Sadras says: Stay safe, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: You too.
Sadras says: And try not to miss me too much while I’m gone.
Arthak Saurfang says: Don’t ask the impossible.

Sadras chuckles. However, Arthak can tell that Sadras has a lot on her mind. But then again, who amongst them didn’t?

Nyxxa, later on, approaches Sadras with Mischief in hand.

Sadras says: Wait, didn’t you leave her behind?
Nyxxa says: Yes.
Sadras says: Yet here she is.
Nyxxa says: Yes. She snuck in in the supplies.

Mischief squirms and Nyxxa sets her down. Sadras laughs.

Sadras says: Do you want me to try and talk to her for you?
Nyxxa says: Yes please.

Sadras crouches down and centers herself as she casts speak with animals.

Sadras says: What do you want me to tell her?
Nyxxa says: That she probably shouldn’t be here, and there’s food at home.
Sadras says: Alright.

As she finishes ritual casting, Sadras’s eyes get a cat-like look as she starts to talk to Mischief. The cat meows back and purrs as they converse. Sadras gets a sad look on her face.

Sadras says: She um. Heh. She believes that you… didn’t mean to leave her behind.
Nyxxa says: Oh. I. Shit.
Sadras says: She said, heh… she said that she didn’t think you would do something like that, so she decided to follow.
Nyxxa says: Oh. Wait.

She looks down at Mischief.

Nyxxa says: Are you guilt-tripping me?
Sadras says: I think she doesn’t want to be left behind again. Because of what happened last time.
Nyxxa says: Oh. Ah. Could you let her know this place is super dangerous?

Sadras turns to Mischief.

Sadras says: Nyxxa… Nyxxa feels for you, but she doesn’t want you to get hurt. This place is a bit more dangerous than the tree back home, and she doesn’t want anything to happen to you.

The cat hisses back. Sadras looks back to Nyxxa.

Sadras says: She said she’s definitely not leaving now, because if this place is dangerous, she doesn’t want you to… her last companion died when she was gone.
Nyxxa says: Oh.
Sadras says: I don’t think she wants that to happen again.
Nyxxa says: Well, if she’s got a warrior’s spirit, no point making her stay home.

Mischief turns and looks up at Nyxxa. Nyxxa cocks her head down at the cat, and the cat walks to the base of her hooves. Mischief looks serious. Nyxca gets the sense that Mischief wants to hear something from her, not via the third-party translator.

Nyxxa gets down to her knees. She considers, then opts to try in eredun.

Nyxxa says [eredun]: Um. Well I guess you’re along for the ride then.

Mischief’s eyes search Nyxxa’s face, and there is a sense of hurt, and a little sense of anger. As if she wants to get an apology.

Nyxxa says [eredun]: I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left you behind.

Mischief growls, and Sadras translates.

Sadras says: She wants a promise you won’t do it again.
Nyxxa says [eredun]: Ah. I promise it won’t happen again. I guess I’m gonna take you on all the crazy adventures… it won’t be easy, but I won’t leave you behind again.

Mischief stares at her, and then lashes out and slashes at her cheek. Nyxxa winces back, and a drop of blood hits the ground and fizzles. Nyxxa reaches up to pat the injury, and it seems to be gone.

Nyxxa says: … Huh.

Nyxxa doesn’t really know what’s going on, and as she’s thinking, her vision goes blank for a brief second, and she finds herself blinking. Then she sees herself from Mischief’s viewpoint. Nyxxa blinks again, and she’s back in her own vision.

Nyxxa grips her head.

Nyxxa says: What… what? Did you do that?

She looks down at Mischief. The cat doesn’t answer, but she rubs against Nyxxa’s knee, then climbs up on top of her back.

Nyxxa says: Huh…
Sadras says: Well, I think she likes you again. Or at least, she forgave you at least.
Nyxxa says: I just saw through her eyes for a moment. Is that normal?
Sadras says: Uh. No.
Nyxxa says: Should we talk to one of the smart guys?
Sadras says: I can do that for short periods of time, perceive through the senses of the beasts of nature, but I don’t know how they would have been able to do that with you… unless she forged some sort of bond?
Nyxxa says: Can you do that?

Mischief just curls up on Nyxxa’s shoulder and bumps Nyxxa’s head in affirmation.

Nyxxa says: Oh. She can.
Sadras says: Well look at that.
Nyxxa says: Huh. Full of surprises.

Mischief stretches, digging her claws into Nyxxa’s shoulder, and then disappears in a burst of green smoke. She had seen Azgadaan do that with Ini before as well.

Nyxxa says: Well, I guess I’ll ask Azzy later if this is normal… I didn’t know they could do that. I’ve never been good with magic though.
Sadras says: Well, Nyxxa, I don’t know either, but it looks like she picked you, so that’s something.
Nyxxa says: Well that puts me more at ease if she has somewhere to be safe. I do feel bad though… I hadn’t thought about that.
Sadras says: It’s alright. It’s not easy to think like one of the beasts… we understand reasons people do things, but a lot of times their lives are more simple and more complex in ways that even baffle me. And I’ve dealt with them my whole life.
Nyxxa says: I guess you’re right. I wouldn’t have had a problem if she was a saber, but she’s a small thing.
Sadras says: But like you said, a warrior’s spirit.
Nyxxa says: Well, thanks Sadras.
Sadras says: Sure thing. I got your back. But I’ll never understand what you see in cats. They’re so fickle.

At that moment, Mischief reappears and bites Sadras’s foot.

Sadras says: Hey!
Nyxxa says: That’s fair, but I could say the same about dogs… but I also nearly got mauled by them before.
Sadras says: Ah. Well, keep the cats to you, and the dogs to me, right?

Sadras wiggles her foot, which Mischief was trying to disembowel, and the cat disappears into green smoke again.

Nyxxa says: Well, I guess I have two people listening to me. One’s a cat, and one’s an asshole.
Vaerux says [telepathically]: Well, good thing she’s not in here. I hate cats.

Nyxxa and Sadras bid farewell, and part ways as Sadras wanted to try and catch some time with Arthak before they split.

That night, before he goes to bed, Azgadaan messes with Spiritsong and the crystal chronicle. The snippets he is able to get from the chronicle are refreshing, and the visuals are interesting--including in seeing how Akama was before he turned into the man he is now.

He puts the items away, and then drifts into a dream spell targeting Kroll. It’s the same dreamscape he normally summons, the black sand beach. Before too long, Kroll appears, walking at a slow pace.

Kroll Gravenight says: Nice place you got here, Azgadaan!
Azgadaan says: Thank you. Looking good for a dead man.
Kroll Gravenight says: What can I say, the Shadowmoon clan taught me a thing or two about death.

He approaches Azgadaan and clasps his wrist.

Kroll Gravenight says: I see you’ve made it back to our lovely home. Not exactly what it used to be.
Azgadaan says: No, it doesn’t seem to be. Seems our homes got a bit closer.
Kroll Gravenight says: Yes, so it seems. And yet, there’s still a bit of individuality all the same. This world may be dying, but so am I. That doesn’t stop me from having a few surprises.
Azgadaan says: That’s true. But, you wanted us to contact you so we could find Garadar?
Kroll Gravenight says: Right! Right right, you know us old men. We tend to prattle on.

Kroll holds his hand out to Azgadaan.

Kroll Gravenight says: If you’d like, I can show you how to find us. There’s a place you need to go, and once you get there, I can make sure I can show you the way.
Azgadaan says: I have an old map of Draenor…

The sand they are walking on turns into a map of Draenor.

Kroll Gravenight says: That might help a bit, but the land has changed in some place, and in others not at all.
Azgadaan says: Right. And we’re about right here, and where was Garadar?

Kroll points out an area in northeastern Nagrand.

Kroll Gravenight says: There is a lake here that still stands. It’s called Skysong Lake. It borders a sacred place called the Throne of the Elements. Find that lake, and we’ll find you, and bring you to Garadar. You won’t be able to find it without our help. It’s shielded. But I can lead you there. If not me, I’ll send someone else trusted.
Azgadaan says: Sounds good. It may take us some time. We have a few meetings to get to, but it shouldn’t be too long.
Kroll Gravenight says: There is… there is peace to be found in contemplation. While the sooner you arrive the better, you need not rush on our behalf. Things are safe and stable here, at the very least. Off the corner of the lake there is a place called the Stones of Prophecy. Find it, and you will have made your way. But be careful. I can only imagine the lands between here and you are not what you may remember.
Azgadaan says: I look forward to finding out.
Kroll Gravenight says: Spirits guide you.
Azgadaan says: And you keep you safe.
Kroll Gravenight says: Of course. And failing the spirits, run like hell.

Kroll laughs.

Azgadaan says: If it comes to it.
Kroll Gravenight says: Tell everyone I wish them the best. I’ll take care of things here.
Azgadaan says: Alright. Good night.
Kroll Gravenight says: You too, my friend.

Kroll disappears as the dream begins to fade.

As Azgadaan leaves the first dream, he conjures another, this time reaching out to Kaylaan. He waits for a bit, making some things in the sand. After the better part of the time passes, he hears the familiar crunching of hoofprints on the sand. As Azgadaan turns, he sees Kaylaan strolling, a smirk on his face.

Kaylaan says: Well well well, if it isn’t the only prince of the Burning Legion that I wouldn’t destroy on first sight!

Kalyaan stops about twenty paces away.

Kaylaan says: What brings you here to… wherever this is? I assume this some sort of communication magic? I can’t imagine why you would appear in a dream otherwise.
Azgadaan says: Just a bit of magic. You don’t sleep much do you? Or you’re on a different clock?
Kaylaan says: A bit of both. When you run with people like I do, you don’t stay in one place for long. But no, I don’t sleep much.
Azgadaan says: I’m contacting you because I wanted to see how you were doing. To see if you were safe after the world came apart.
Kaylaan says: Well. I’m still in one piece, for the most part.

He laughs, raising his shoulder with the missing arm.

Kaylaan says: But we are operating just fine. But thank you for your consideration. It’s good you came to me and not someone else.
Azgadaan says: I was warned about the someone else.
Kaylaan says: If you reached out to Akama, I could not guarantee your safety. He tolerated your presence, but I would not push it.
Azgadaan says: He didn’t seem to take the Child of Argus thing well…
Kaylaan says: I can’t imagine why!
Azgadaan says: Maybe should have used better phrasing.
Kaylaan says: Tell him that to his face.
Azgadaan says: Maybe someday.
Kaylaan says: It’s your funeral.
Azgadaan says: Maybe not. But I’m glad you’re all alright. I was wondering how everyone is doing.
Kaylaan says: If you’re wondering about the Ashtongue, we are fine. Picked up a few members, lost a few others. Normal for the circumstances.
Azgadaan says: Good to know. I may contact you in the future but… yeah, just knowing you guys are safe for now is enough.
Kaylaan says: Of course. And if you do contact me, I’ll be sure not to pass that information down the line. Unless you piss me off, then we’ll see what happens.
Azgadaan says: I’ll try not to, but hey, sometimes I rub people the wrong way.
Kaylaan says: It’s not your fault you were born a demon, but there’s something in your genetics I learned. Just very good at rubbing people the wrong way.
Azgadaan says: Ah, yes. Well, I guess do you have any news? Things have changed a lot since we left this planet.

Kalyaan smiles.

Kaylaan says: I have plenty of information, Azgadaan, but nothing I can share with you. Likely as not, you’re still with Arthak, and with all respect, I don’t want anything I know to reach his ears, and I am traveling with someone that wants you dead. It’s best that we keep our information quite separate.
Azgadaan says: Well, that’s fine. If anything comes up on my side, I’ll inform you. Especially if it pertains to the Ashtongue or the draenei.
Kaylaan says: Of course, and perhaps if there’s anything I learn, maybe I’ll share it with you.
Azgadaan says: Perhaps.

Kaylaan smiles, and then walks away, and the dream fades away.

Halno spent a good majority of the night communicating with Sagaz to inform him how he will be in contact with him.

Outland Day 2

The group’s rest goes fairly well, and they wake up refreshed and ready to help with the evacuation of any of the orcs that want to return to Azeroth. Azgadaan shoots a sending to Shaspira, and she informs him that she will send him just before she opens the gate.

Nyxxa gives a note to Mahka to deliver to Gramgun about the cat situation.

The portal appears in the midst of Varokmar, and in an organized fashion, orcs move both ways through the portal: some returning to Azeroth while others come to Outland to be reunited with family that perhaps chose to stay. Kaza effectively had taken over leadership of the settlement, as Mahka and Mankrik had chosen to leave.

After the portal closes, supplies had been moved to Outland, and everyone seemed to be able to get to the side they wanted to be on.

The group then finishes preparations for their travels, Arthak and Azuka headed for Hellfire, while the rest prepare to take off to meet Khadgar.

At some point, Arthak approached Azgadaan.

Azgadaan says: Good morning!
Arthak Saurfang says: Morning. Something I wanted to mention real quick. Given we are back here… there’s the Ashtongue. They are a presence that we may need to be concerned about. And… there is Kaylaan. I was thinking it best we attempt to, um… handle that carefully. I was thinking after we got a better grasp of the situation, it would be good to reach out. But not before then. I don’t want him to know I’m here. Magic is your specialty, so… it’s best if we move softly for the moment. At least from the Ashtongue, and for my sake, from Kaylaan.
Azgadaan says: Mmhm… he won’t know you’re here.
Arthak Saurfang says: Thank you, Azgadaan. Well. Safe travels, and um, thanks.
Azgadaan says: You as well, Arthak. Keep yourself and the little disappearing act safe.
Arthak Saurfang says: She doesn’t need me to do that, but I’ll try.
Azgadaan says: Sounds good. I’ll keep the rest together.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know you will.

Azgadaan gives Arthak a good side hug with a double back pat.

Arthak Saurfang says: Um. Okay.

Sadras also gives Arthak one last hug.

Sadras says: Keep her out of trouble, will you?

She gestures to Summerpaw, and Summerpaw comes up to Arthak with her tongue lolling out, completely innocent. Sadras goes to Azuka next.

Sadras says: And you keep him out of trouble.

Azuka nods stoically.

Sadras then goes to Summerpaw.

Sadras says: And you be a good girl. I’ll see you soon.

Summerpaw immediately flops over for belly rubs. Veena is zooping around the area, just watching as people make their preparations. Arthak looks to Sadras.

Arthak Saurfang says: Be careful. I love you.
Sadras says: I will. I love you too.

Sadras punches him in the shoulder affectionately, and Lantresor gives Arthak a brief bow.

Lantresor says: We will reach out to you once we have a better grip on what we are doing.
Arthak Saurfang says: Makes sense. Eyes out for them.
Lantresor says: Of course. My eyes are yours, Arthak. After all, one of us needs to ensure we keep them around, don’t we?

Lantresor gives a small smirk as he looks at Arthak’s eyepatch, and Arthak grumbles.

Lantresor says: May your blade never dull, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: Maybe one day I can get it as sharp as your wit.
Lantresor says: We shall see, won’t we?
Arthak Saurfang says: Unlikely.

Lantresor gives a slight flick of his tail as he turns to return to the group. Levia waves Arthak and Azuka off. Arthak tosses Levia a cigarette.

Arthak Saurfang says: One for the road.
Levia Blackflight says: Don’t need to tell me twice.

She lights the smoke, and Sadras groans and goes to the other side of the group.

Nyxxa also exchanges a brief goodbye with Arthak, and promises she won’t get into trouble, and she’ll keep his mate safe. Sadras pipes up, overhearing that.

Sadras says: Or I’ll keep her safe!
Arthak Saurfang says: That’s more the one I was counting on.
Nyxxa says: Wow. Low blow. But I’ll stay dead here! I need to remind myself of that. But no, I’ll be careful, and we’ll see you soon.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yeah. Good luck with… whatever it is.

Nyxxa leans forward, out of Azuka’s earshot.

Nyxxa says: By the way, she takes after you.

She pats Arthak on the shoulder.

Nyxxa says: See you later!
Arthak Saurfang says: ...low blow.

Arthak and Azuka mount up on Summerpaw, and she whines a bit as the second orc gets on, but she’ll be fine. They then start to ride off while the rest of the group loads into Azgadaan’s summoned vehicle.

Kaza is also seeing them off, and she’s looking up at the sky. The sky is different, seemingly filled with storm clouds made of smoke. Azgadaan looks into the distance with his spyglass.

Mother Kaza says: You might want to be careful heading out. Those thunderheads aren’t the kind that spew water.

Azgadaan is familiar with the phenomenon. Thunderheads of soot and fire can form in the sky and make localized flame showers that drop small droplets of liquid fire. Azuka, however, seems to be able to predict the weather using druidcraft, and she assures Arthak they can try to predict the passage of the storm.

As Arthak, Veena, and Azuka ride across Outland, they can see the bones of the shattered world spreading out around them. However, it’s harder to see Hellfire Citadel than it was before. It seems the area immediately around Hellfire is partially collapsed, and it looks like there is a basin with rivers of boiling fel fire around it. It looks even more impenetrable. Arthak sees that the steel doesn’t seem to be Blackrock iron. There’s no small amount of Legion architecture that has been added, including fel cannons. Hellfire Citadel is far from abandoned.

After the first day of travel, they settle down to make camp. Veena also seems to sleep, in a sense, rootlike growths reaching into the soil as she enters some sort of trance. Arthak had observed it, and he is far from an expert of agriculture, but the area around where Veena was resting seemed a bit less fel corrupted than the rest of the area around them.

With the rest of the group, they are heading towards Honor Hold--specifically the ravine that Khadgar had referenced. They are able to arrive the same day, and they fortunately manage to not get attacked. They encounter some scorching storms, but the vehicle is immune to the firefall. They slow down as they draw closer.

They opt to get to the rendezvous point but wait a sleep cycle before arranging the meeting, just in case they wound up followed. They keep a low profile as best as they can, using the terrain as they drop low to the ground. They emerge right along the edge of the cliffside that leads up to Honor Hold, and they find themselves in a deep valley to the southeast of the hold.

It appears this is the location that had been described by Khadgar. The terrain is littered by countless bones. They land the vehicle and plan their next move. They set up watches to rest before the next day.

The first watch, with Azgadaan and Levia, is uneventful.

Halno and Sadras take second watch, and once more, things are uneventful. Sadras is pacing a bit, seemingly concerned, but is mostly keeping herself busy.

Nyxxa and Lantresor take third watch, and most of their watch is uneventful, as Lantresor is meditating. However, Nyxxa feels like she’s being watched. She could have sworn she heard something behind one of the larger skeletons. Nyxxa narrows her eyes.

Nyxxa says: Who goes there?

Lantresor opens a single eye.

Lantresor says: You hear something?
Nyxxa says: Yeah. I think we’re being watched.
Lantresor says: Do you wish to take a closer look?
Nyxxa says: It could be an animal. I’m just… on edge.
Lantresor says: We are behind enemy lines. If it is a scout, we could be in danger.

Nyxxa nods, and then goes to investigate. Lantresor steps behind her, and illuminates his blade, and then disappears from sight.

Lantresor says: I will be with you.

Nyxxa ventures forward, slowly and quietly. She doesn’t see anything. She uses see invisibility, and once more, there’s nothing.

Then she hears the softest sound of rapid foot movement, and the gleaming of steel across steel. Suddenly, there is the warmth of a blade on her throat.

Deep Voice says [darnassian]: You have five words to speak, traitor.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Wait! I have the Slayer’s scrim!
Lantresor says [orcish]: Lower the blades.
Nyxxa says [orcish]: No. No! It’s fine.

She looks at the other individual.

Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I have the Slayer’s scrim. It was a ruse. I’m sorry.
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: Hmph. Lets see. Call your man off.
Nyxxa says [orcish]: Lantresor, it’s fine.

Lantresor lowers his blade, and a hand clasps around Nyxxa’s blindfold and pulls it off.

Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: Hmph. This is unmistakably her work. So you did not turn traitor then?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: No. It was… trying to make a convincing infiltration. I also don’t remember any of you.
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: We never met. I know you only by reputation. But… this is something that she would do. Headstrong as she can be.

The scrim is placed back in Nyxxa’s hand, and then he pulls Nyxxa close to whisper in her ear.

Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: This had best not be a ruse.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: No ruse.
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: I’m counting on it.

Halno had also come to investigate, and they see a tall, lean, and dangerous night elf man. A blood red scrim is over his eyes, and there are two steel blades at his waist that seem to be almost permanently stained with the blood of demons.

Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: What are you doing here?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Continuing my mission as best I can. Or do you mean here specifically?
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: Yes.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I’m meeting someone here. A contact.
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: I see.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: What are you doing here?
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: Hunting demons.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Yeah, um. Well the ones in camp that are sleeping are my allies, so please don't hurt them.

The demon hunter glances in direction of camp.

Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: My quarry is greater than them. They need not fear unless they get in my way.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Ah. Well. Nice to meet you, I guess.
Looming Demon Hunter says [darnassian]: Charmed. Loramus Thalipedes.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Pleasure to meet you as well. So, uh, what do we do now?
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: I leave, now that I’ve determined you’re not a threat to be destroyed?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Understood. Is there another out here, or am I not supposed to know?
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: There is another. Shadowsong is in Nagrand investigating the forge camps. Seek him out if you want to know more, but I’m not here to hold hands.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Ah. Thanks. Oh, I happened to kill the other traitor. Not permanently. She is still out there.
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: Felsoul. She’ll be dealt with one way or another. Is she your hunt?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I think she’s coming for me, so yeah.
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: Tell me, Nyxxa. Have you seen the nathrezim on this world?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: No. But I just got here.
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: Of course. I’ll sniff them out eventually.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Understood. Well, I’ll be seeing you then.
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: Yes, perhaps you will. Don’t get yourself killed.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I’d say the same, but I don’t think I need to worry about that.
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: It is always a risk of what I hunt.

Beneath Loramus’s belt, there are four or five daggers, which is strange, but noteworthy. Each of them seems to be uniquely made with eredic script on some of them.

Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Those are nice knives. Trophies?
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: Implements. Without them, the hope to defeat the nathrezim are slim to none, even in the Nether. Without their true names, they will escape. I ensure they can’t.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: A hard task, but you see perfectly up to it! If the Slayer doesn’t know I’m here yet, and you here from her before I do, could you let her know?
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: I’m not a messenger, but I’ll tell her.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Anything you want me to tell her?
Loramus Thalipedes says [darnassian]: If I can’t report to her myself, it can be assumed I’ve been compromised. And stay away from the marshes. These fools in this hold have been sending scouts, and there’s an inquisitor demon there. He’s my target.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Ah, noted.

Loramus leaves, and Nyxxa exhales, and then apologizes to Lantresor and Halno.

Lantresor says: I did not expect to run into one of your associates…
Nyxxa says: Yeah, me neither.
Lantresor says: You didn’t know him?
Nyxxa says: No. He was one of the ones I never met. Even so, I don’t remember any of them purposely. Their protection. There’s apparently another.
Lantresor says: In Nagrand?
Nyxxa says: Yes.
Lantresor says: I suppose you may have opportunity to reach out to them if you’re lucky. Hopefully with less hostilities.
Nyxxa says: I hope so, but most think I’m a traitor. Fortunately, I have this.

She puts the scrim back on.

Nyxxa says: At least that’s handled up front.
Lantresor says: Lets hope the other can identify this… marking that this Loramus was able to.

They return to camp to finish their rest.

Outland Day 3

The next day, as Arthak wakes, he regards Veena after noting what he had seen last night.

Arthak Saurfang says: Azuka. Veena.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: What?
Arthak Saurfang says: It may be for the best that she does not join us when we enter Hellfire.

Azuka thinks for a moment, then nods.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: I think you’re right.

She turns to Veena.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: When we get closer to the Citadel, would you be able to hide?

Veena nods. It seems that whenever she speaks words Arthak can understand, it’s directly into his mind, but in her own language, she seems to speak by rubbing various parts of her body and wings together. It’s almost harmonic.

Veena says: Azuka!
Arthak Saurfang says: For your safety.

Veena looks to Arthak, then to Azuka, and does a small backflip in the air and nods affirmatively.

They continue on, and they start to get rather close to Hellfire. Periodically, Azuka will check the weather with druidcraft, and a few miles outside Hellfire, Azuka curses.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: We might want to--

In that moment, the thunderhead above them starts to open up, flames raining down from above. Arthak activates his giant’s might, and he grabs Summerpaw and Azuka and starts to book it. Summerpaw yelps and begins to paddle as she is lifted, and Arthak chugs a fire resistance potion and runs.

They manage to find shelter that Veena points to, and a deluge of fire starts to rain down. Veena is buzzing wildly, the sound her wings make almost sounding like her name.

The flames that hit the ground make spontaneous bursts of fire. After about four minutes, it begins to slow, and the clouds are still overhead, but it seems like the fire itself has subsided. However, that’s when Arthak sees something else. Up ahead, he sees something on the upper part of the southern side of the canyon.

It’s a cowled figure, who seems to be looking down at the group from a rather high precipice. The silhouette looks orcish, and he is carrying a staff, which seems to be a spike made of Blackrock metal that is pierced through an orcish skull.

The figure raises the staff in the air, and the fire in the skull’s eyes begins to seep out. Then the fire is launched down to the group in erratic, purple-white patterns. None of them hit the small group, but the wind starts to pick up into localized twisters. Bones, scorched from the rain, get drawn into the storms, and there is a warcry from the east.

Arthak sees clouds of dust, as five orcs are riding mangey worgs, wielding all manner of sharpened blades. Their skin is various hues of bright red and dusty orange.

One of the swirling twisters of bones slams into Summerpaw, but she is able to smash some of the bones out of the air as she darts around it.

One of the worgs rushes into Arthak’s face, and the fel orc on its back swings at Arthak with his great axe. It clips into his armor, and another twister hones in on Summerpaw, blasting shrapnel at the frostwolf.

Arthak enters a rage, and swings at the worg closest to him. There is a hissing, yelping roar as a gaping wound opens up in the worg. He brings his blade around once more, bisecting the worg and sending the fel orc rider flying. He lands on his feet, but is winded, and seemingly Arthak’s blade had caught his leg.

Veena flies into the air and uses bless on her allies, rubbing her wrists together as she closes all five of her eyes. There is a soft purple glow around her.

One of the twisters rolls into Arthak, the bones inside attempting to cage him, but he is able to get out of the way just in time.

Another worg closes on Arthak, and a twister tries to restrain Azuka. The bones clatter around her, and she is lifted off the ground, bones battering and bashing her.

Another twister closes on Summerpaw, but she is effortlessly jumping between them.

Azuka activates her crimson rite, and the vines grow up her arm. She strikes at the bones that have her restrained, but she is unable to land a hit.

Summerpaw snarls and tries to wrestle out of the twisters, nipping at the bones.A fel orc hurls a javelin at Summerpaw, who dodges around it. A fel orc swings at Arthak with his axe, which connects, and two more javelins are hurled.

The group of fel orcs has now closed on the small group.

Fel Orc Killer says: Hehe, little chieftain!

A barrage of attacks is assailing the group--bites from the rabid worgs and weapons from the fel orcs alike. The twister in Arthak’s space lifts him up into the whirling bones.

Azuka recovers with second wind, and she is able to land a hit on the storm she’s trapped in. Lightning courses around her weapon, but it doesn’t seem to be as effective as she would have liked.

A worg starts to wrestle with Summerpaw, attempting to pull her to the ground, but she remains standing. She then disengages and leaps over the worgs, howling before she starts to run away--drawing some of the aggression from her allies.

Arthak gets giant once more, and bones go flying in every direction as the twister is unable to keep restraining him. Arthak drives his blade into the nearest worg, and he hears bones break. Then he swings his blade on another worg, ripping a large wound in the beast. One of the fel orcs is bucked from his mount.

He rounds back on the first worg as he uses action surge. The worg slams to the ground, and he swings his blade around, killing a second worg, and then dropping the wounded fel orc to the ground--who just barely managed to stay up.

Arthak then closes on one of the last worgs, ripping a bleeding wound open in its side.

Arthak Saurfang says: If you know who I am, then you should know how stupid this was.

The fel orc on the worg that was on Summerpaw dismounts and swings at Arthak, but he is unable to land a hit.

Veena floats up and holds a hand out. Thorns begin to launch from her arm, which float next to her, and then shoot downward. Unfortunately, neither of the thorns manage to hit the severely wounded orc.

Azuka, however, is able to clip the fel orc with her sword, and the orc drops down, dead. She then downs a potion.

Summerpaw sinks her fangs into the injured worg and tears its throat out. She then backs up to try and draw more attention.

Sparks fly as fel orcs clank against Arthak’s armor, and Azuka continues to get battered by bones.

Another of the storm fires its shards of bones at Arthak. Veena is able to pull Azuka out of the storm.

Arthak swings his sword at one of the other orcs, and it is able to dodge, but his second swing lands true. The fel orc survives, laughing maniacally, but Arthak then activates his fire rune, and the flaming chains erupt around him, burning the orc alive.

He then rounds on the other fel orc. The fel orc tries to stand after the blow, but he falters and dies.

Arthak then goes to one of the last fel orcs.

Arthak Saurfang says: I know this was targeted. And I will find out who. And I will kill them, and everyone.

The twisters--the Storms of Glory--continue to fire shrapnel at Arthak, but they fail to connect. The fel orc tries to strike him, but is unable to land an attack. The other remaining fel orc throws a javelin at Azuka, but she is able to dodge aside. The worg snaps at her, and the fel orc atop it swings down, his axe clashing into the rock.

The storms of glory swarm around Arthak, trying and failing to lift him.

Azuka tries to dart beneath the worg’s legs, but she is unable to get an opening. She growls and jumps onto the worg, kicking the fel orc in the face and sending him flying off the worg’s back and into the nearby storm of glory.

The fel orc engaged with Arthak tries to disarm him, but fails horribly.

Summerpaw tries to intercept another storm of glory going for Arthak.

Veena channels her energy, and a translucent barrier of pollen appears around Azuka.

The storm of glory the fel orc was thrown into tries to restrain it, and the orc is lifted into the air.

Arthak decapitates the fel orc in front of him, and then closes on the remaining worg and fel orc. Arthak severely injures the worg while the fel orc curses about the warlock magic that was restraining him. Arthak puts down the worg, and swings his sword around into one of the storms or glory.

Azuka goes off on the retrained fel orc, killing him with a twist of her blade and a blast of lightning. She then runs from the storm of glory that was closed in on her.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: Arthak! We might be able to outrun these things!
Arthak Saurfang says: Hm. Just wait there. Let me resolve this.

He continues to slam into the twisters with his blade. One of the storms dissolve, and another is smashed into splinters.

Veena fires a thorn at one of the remaining storms.

Summerpaw takes another hit of shrapnel, and snarls, but then dashes after Azuka and out of harms way, as she is heavily injured. All the storms coalesce on Arthak. Azuka holds out her hand, and thorny vines shoot from it, but it is unable to land a direct hit as the vines wrap around a solitary bone and snaps it.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: Dammit.

Arthak continues to decimate the twisters, and Azuka brings down her thorn whip on the last one that remains, smashing it into shrapnel.

Arthak sees the warlock retreating over the ledge, and Azuka says she’s good at climbing. Arthak nods, and throws her a potion to feed to Summerpaw. Then Azuka and Arthak begin to climb up the ledge, while Veena stays with Summerpaw.

Arthak maintains his giant form, and they heave themselves over the edge. They see the cowled figure sitting next to a hellboar. The boar’s greyish flesh is poxed with bright green.

The warlock gets up on the hellboar, and Arthak starts to charge at him. The warlock flees, but Arthak is gaining on him. They are both getting winded, but the boar is getting more winded.

The warlock turns around as Arthak closes, and he blasts a shadowbolt at Arthak. It strikes him right in the chest, but Arthak keeps running. The warlock’s hood drops, and Arthak sees an older orc with white orc. He looks concerned, baffled, and angry.

Then a black skull appears in the warlock’s hand and he uses fear on Arthak, but it takes no effect. Arthak is grumbling angrily as he continues to gain.

And then three green orbs slam into Arthak. He sees his body continue to run, and his soul is seemingly chained by these orbs, as if they were being blasted apart, but he succeeds against the banishment. Arthak lurches at the old orc, and he pulls him to the ground, off the boar.

Orc Warlock says: Wait! Stop. I believe that’s enough. I’m not getting out of here unless you’re dead.
Arthak Saurfang says: Then. Talk.
Orc Warlock says: You are Arthak Saurfang. There are people who want you dead, and I was here to accomplish that. Now I believe I could succeed in that mission, but not without losing something, and I’m not finished yet. So instead of the two of us rolling around on this dead and forgotten world, lets speak.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m listening.

The warlock looks over at Azuka as she is catching up.

Orc Warlock says: The girl. She is your daughter.
Arthak Saurfang says: What of it?
Orc Warlock says: When I accepted this… assignment. I did not know you had a child. I wouldn’t deprive someone of their father.

The warlock crosses his arms.

Arthak Saurfang says: Funny you came to that decision now.
Orc Warlock says: When you get to be my age, you come to a lot of funny decisions, which is what led me to be chosen for this assignment in the first place. My name is Oronok Torn-heart. And the warchief wants you dead, Arthak. And he doesn’t want Gul’dan to know about it.

Arthak grunts.

Arthak Saurfang says: So. You’re Blackrock?
Oronok Torn-heart says: No. But I believe you and I have… unfortunate contacts from beyond. I was born Shadowmoon. But that is irrelevant. For now, I serve the same shadowed hand that you do, and I would come to a deal with you. Blackhand chose me because he knew I would not tell Gul’dan. He knows the Shadowmaster is fond of you, and he would not approve of this. I presume that’s why he wants you dead.
Arthak Saurfang says: Why did the warchief know you wouldn’t tell?
Oronok Torn-heart says: I have no love for the Shadowmaster. I was there when he perverted this land. When he tried to sever the Furies. Though I turned my back on the spirits long ago, that didn’t prevent me from feeling its loss. I was young and foolish, but you could say that in my age, I want to do something I’m proud of. I want to build a world where my boys can grow, and not lose their fathers to assassins.

Arthak doesn’t sense any deception, but it’s hard to tell if that’s just because he’s a good liar.

Oronok Torn-heart says: You’ve been making waves, Arthak. A lot of people are paying attention, and I would not be surprised if the warchief found more people to send after you. I have no love for what you’re doing, for what you’re trying to become, so I am asking you now: what are you trying to become? If I like what I hear, no one will have to die today.

The warlock looks to Arthak expectantly.

Arthak Saurfang says: I’m trying to… become the person who makes a Horde we can all be proud of.

Oronok nods.

Oronok Torn-heart says: And what of the Shadowmaster? Would you become his puppet? Or would you cut the strings?
Arthak Saurfang says: How do I know the Shadowmaster didn’t send you? If I say something unwise, it ends up around my throat.
Oronok Torn-heart says: It will be no matter what you say, Arthak. But you and I don’t have to leave this world as enemies.

Azuka catches up at this point and Oronok looks to her with a smile.

Oronok Torn-heart says: I’ll be watching, Arthak. But one of us will not be returning unless I get an answer.

Arthak growls.

Oronok turns and heads to the hellboar, which is panting. He smiles and hushes it with a pat, and he sets some mushrooms next to it, which it quickly gobbles down. He then mounts up on the boar.

Arthak Saurfang says: Azuka, wait here a moment.

Azuka is panting, and nods as Arthak approaches the warlock again.

Arthak Saurfang says: I can’t afford to have you over my shoulder.

Oronok locks eyes with Arthak.

Arthak Saurfang says: If you’re asking my plans, my intentions move past the Shadowmanster.

Oronok smiles.

Oronok Torn-heart says: Then maybe we’ll both leave this world after all. Make sure you don’t get killed between now and then. The world won’t be worthwhile if you’re not there to see it.
Arthak Saurfang says: I don’t suppose we could just… skip the tricks and the drama.
Oronok Torn-heart says: No. Not yet. There are things I’m going to need to take care of. We’re in a unique situation, right now. One where the Shadowmaster’s eyes can’t be constantly upon us. If things are going to change… there are some things I need to take care of. But I will find you. Perhaps then we can skip the drama and double-talk. For what it’s worth, I have no love of it either. Perhaps when you’re my age, you won’t have to.
Arthak Saurfang says: Hopefully. See to your business. We’ll talk at a later point. If any of this is deception just to save your skin, I will find what you care about.
Oronok Torn-heart says: You have the same capability. Should you wish my death, I would be but a whisper away. You do have the Shadowmaster’s ear, after all. But someone who defends his child with such vigor, there may be hope for you yet.

He reaches into a pouch and pulls some mushrooms out and tosses them to Arthak.

Oronok Torn-heart says: Consider this an apology for nearly killing your companions. It will help to heal your injuries. They’re not good, but they’re effective. An old trick I learned down in the valley.

Arthak looks at the mushrooms and grunts.

Arthak Saurfang says: Apology accepted. Alright. I think we’re done here.
Oronok Torn-heart says: The next ones won’t be from me, Arthak.

The orc turns on his boar and trots off.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: What was that all about?
Arthak Saurfang says: The warchief finally got around to trying to kill me.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: Oh.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yeah.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: I guess he probably won’t be the last one?
Arthak Saurfang says: No.
Azuka Stormbreaker says: So… are you just going to let him go?
Arthak Saurfang says: I guess. He apologized.

Azuka looks at the mushrooms.

Azuka Stormbreaker says: You’re weird.
Arthak Saurfang says: Let me try them first in case they’re poisoned.

Arthak takes a bite from one, and they are not good, but they are restorative.

Arthak Saurfang says: Not poisoned. Alright. Lets go… rest.

They head back to where Summerpaw and Veena are resting, and they take a moment to rest before they continue their trek to Hellfire Citadel.

The next morning, with Nyxxa’s crew, they prepare breakfast, and Nyxxa informs them there are demon hunters in the area.

Levia Blackflight says: Wait, you found one yesterday?
Nyxxa says: He found us, middle of the night. It’s fine, probably.
Azgadaan says: You mean a few hours ago?
Nyxxa says: Yes. He’s after dreadlords right now, so he’s likely going to do his own thing.
Levia Blackflight says: If you say so.
Nyxxa says: He seemed very straight forward about that. Ultimately, he’s on a different mission than I am, so I can’t get too much into his business.
Azgadaan says: If he wants to kill a dreadlord, have fun. Kill as many as you want.

There are nods in agreement.

Nyxxa says: He did mention to avoid the Zorammarsh to the south. The alliance has been sending scouts.

At that moment, Nyxxa gets a sending from Khadgar.

Khadgar says [sending]: Greetings! Hope I’m not interrupting, I’m just checking to see when I could expect you.
Nyxxa says [sending]: Oh, we’re here!
Khadgar says [sending]: Oh, my apologies. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting.
Nyxxa says [sending]: Oh, we figured we’d get here and wait it out to make sure no one followed. That was for your safety.
Khadgar says [sending]: How very considerate.
Nyxxa says [sending]: I aim to please!
Khadgar says [sending]: I’ll be there shortly. I just need to make sure I can slip any unwanted followers.
Nyxxa says [sending]: See you soon!

Before long, something flies overhead, and Nyxxa recognizes the unmistakably raven that Khadgar takes the shape of. He clearly is scoping around for a bit before he flies low and heads toward the group.

The raven stops 60 or so feet from the camp, and he hops, and then transforms in a cloud of violet dust into the form of Khadgar. He’s alone. He smiles and raises a hand in greeting.

Nyxxa says [common]: Good to see you again, friend!
Khadgar says [common]: You as well.

Khadgar steps forward slowly and looks about.

Khadgar says [common]: For the sake of convenience, what would be the best language to speak in?
Nyxxa says [common]: All but one of us can speak common.
Khadgar says [common]:I see. Who among you?

Nyxxa points to Lantresor.

Khadgar says [common]: Let him know I can assist him in that matter.

Nyxxa relays and Lantresor looks at Nyxxa, and then the tiny man, and nods.

Khadgar says [common]: Excellent!

Khadgar’s eyes glow, and the glow emanates around Lantresor.

Lantresor says: What did he do?
Khadgar says [common]: Just a simple spell so we can understand each other.
Lantresor says: My thanks.
Khadgar says [common]: Don’t mention it, friend! Well, hello, my name is Khadgar, and it’s a pleasure to meet all of you. I know Nyxxa of course, but I don’t recognize the rest of you.

He looks at Azgadaan.

Khadgar says [common]: You, you’re the one I conversed with before?
Azgadaan says [common]: Yes. My name is Prince Azgadaan, it’s a pleasure to meet you Archmage Khadgar.

Khadgar tells him that formalities aren’t needed with a laugh, joking that if those involved in his archmage business knew he was here, they would have his head. Azgadaan returns that if people in the Legion knew he was here, they would have his own head as well.

Sadras says [common]: Sadras. Sorry. My common is… okay at best.
Khadgar says [common]: Truthfully, I’m already impressed you started to master it so quickly.
Levia Blackflight says [common]: Levia.

Khadgar looks at Levia for a moment, lingering, but nods. Lantresor also introduces himself.

Halno says [common]: My name is Halno, and if I would understand it, your friend would have my head too.

Halno pops his mask off, and Khadgar studies him for a moment.

Khadgar says [common]: Well, I can’t say I recognize you my friend. You must be… a member of the Magistrate, or you were, perhaps?
Halno says [common]: There is plenty of explaining to do. Uh. Huh. I’m glad you didn’t bring this body’s brother-in-law.

Khdagar’s eyes search.

Khadgar says [common]: You refer to Turalyon?
Halno says [common]: I… did I? Yes.
Khadgar says [common]: That would make… I don’t believe he had a brother-in-law named Halno, so there’s something more complex here.

His eyes light up as he casts detect magic.

Khadgar says [common]: Ah. There is.
Halno says [common]: There’s a whole mess.
Khadgar says [common]: I’d be interested to hear the story.
Halno says [common]: I have the person to explain it to you.

Halno summons Sylvos.

Sylvos Windrunner says [common]: Greetings, archmage! My name is Sylvos Windrunner.

Khadgar looks incredulous, and then looks at Nyxxa.

Khadgar says [common]: This is fascinating, if not disturbing.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yeah… he’s sincere and he figured it would be better to rip the bandage off rather than obs...fucation.
Khadgar says [common]: Excellent word choice. Ah. Sylvos… are you under any duress?
Sylvos Windrunner says [common]: Ah, no, there is no pain. I have already expired, so I cannot feel pain.
Khadgar says [common]: I could write a dissertation on this, but another time.
Halno says [common]: Hit me up on that.

Khadgar’s mouth flaps.

Khadgar says [common]: One step at a time.
Halno says [common]: Well, I don’t think I have any other bombs to drop.
Khadgar says [common]: For the best. This is a… mess. This will not endear you to the members of Honor Hold.
Halno says [common]: If it’s any consolation, I might be able to bring him back in the future.
Khadgar says [common]: That… is an avenue worth pursuing. But, another time. The first thing we should focus on is getting you all to a position we can speak on less secretive terms.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yeah. It would be good to move in that direction. Don’t you agree everyone?

There is a series of nods.

Khadgar says [common]: I presume you have plenty of guesses as to what would happen if I waltzed back through the gate with a handful of orcs, a handful of demons, and you, Halno. There would be torches if we were lucky. There would be worse if we were not.
Nyxxa says [common]: We don’t want to sully your reputation.
Khadgar says [common]: Appreciated. I am here for my own interests as well as those of the Kirin Tor. The Kirin Tor is neutral, and the war has not touched us. We have our neutrality to consider, but we are formerly members of the Alliance, and we are making plans to address that consideration. It’s clearly more complex than it seems. A good first step is to help behind the curtain. I may be able to slip things you can do to help the Hold. Get you a resume of sorts so you may not be murdered the moment you step through the gates. Turalyon is formaly in charge, and he is one of my best friends. However, that only goes so far. Were I to become a problem, I have no doubt he would cut me down. He wouldn’t enjoy it, but he would. So we need to be careful.
Nyxxa says [common]: Yeah, I get that.
Khadgar says [common]: But, on that notion, I have a few ideas. I can tell you basics of our goals, and it involves crippling the Legion. I’ve been led to believe that none of you are friends of the Legion. AThis world has become intrinsically tied to Azeroth. The strength of my enemies here becomes the strength of my enemies in my home. So, the more you can help with that, the better both our causes would be. That reminds me. I do have individuals that may not be happy to know I’m speaking to you.

Khadgar claps his staff and he casts see invisibility. He glances around.

Khadgar says [common]: Well, no one is trying to scry, so that’s fortunate. But beyond that, there is a more acute problems. Scouts have gone missing, south of Honor Hold, It’s led by one of the members of Guardians of Eternal Spring. A man named Kayne Sunfury. If you can find him, you may be able to find out what happened to the rest. If you can find him, at least bring back proof of their demise, that may not be a bad idea.
Nyxxa says [common]: I was afraid you were gonna say that… we can talk about this later, but…

There’s a small, dainty sneeze from behind them. It’s not from any of the group. Nyxxa turns around.

Khadgar says [common]: You can come out.

There’s some movement, and there are footsteps, but no one is visible.

Voice says [common]: Apologies archmage. It seems the dust of this land doesn’t do her any good. I didn’t intend to follow, but I saw you land. But truly I don’t mean any harm. Neither of us do. Here allow me to drop our cover.

The magic disappears from the pair, and there is recognition in Khadgar’s face. He crosses his arms, a bit perturbed. One of the individuals that appears is a half elven man, and the other an elven woman. The man is dressed simply with a spellbook on his hip, and there is a stripe of bright sapphire blue hair. The woman is comparatively dainty. She’s wearing a fancy silken skirt and a tight corset and bodice with a far-dipping v neck. Her hair is dark purple and tied back in intricate braids and ponytails.

Half Elven Man says [common]: My name is Kalec. I’m just a party trying to find out what the archmage was snooping on. This is my companion, Tyri.
Tyri says [common]: Companion. It’s always companion with you. Fiancé is more appropriate.
