December 6th
The battle keeps raging on in the sewers as Azgadaan, Nyxxa, Rehgar, and Throkta continuing contending with the skarvyn. Nyxxa attempts to attack one of the large skarvyn abominations, but her blows deflect off his scales.
Rehgar looks over at Nyxxa as he starts to engage a few of the smaller skarvyn. He holds a hand out to her, and there’s a crash of lightning which strikes into the satyr, manifesting in four orbs of lightning that spiral around her like a shield. One of the smaller skarvyn gets caught in the lightning shield and is electrocuted, slipping into the water dead. The abomination is also not looking good.
Rehgar then swings at one of his own skarvyn, but the blow misses.
One of the skarvyn swings in at Throkta, and it attempts to disarm the orc with its tail, but the orc manages to hang onto his weapon. However, another skarvyn fires at Throkta, and the blow also connects, but once more, Throkta hangs on to his weapon.
A skarvyn’s arrow digs into a gap in Azgadaan’s defenses, and he stumbles back, but he is able to keep himself from falling prone.
The charmed skarvyn abomination is still trying to keep his allies from fighting, and he now has two of them grappled, which are squirming to get free.
Azgadaan gestures at a large group of the skarvyn and casts sleep. Many of the skarvyn fall asleep, as does Throkta.
Samaara holds her action, taking aim at the still-awake abomination near Azgadaan.
Many of the skarvyn continue snoozing, but one slips on the other side of Rehgar. It cuts through Rehgar’s defenses, and Rehgar drops the concentration on lightning shield.
One of the other skarvyn starts to wake his allies, and Rehgar takes more damage from one of the skarvyn. He is tripped up by the attacking skarvyn, and he drops to the ground.
The abomination that is fighting Nyxxa attempts to grapple her, but she slips out of the way. The abomination takes a step back from her.
One of the other abominations steps over his unconscious friend, and he gets pinged by Samaara’s readied action. He attempts to also grapple Azgadaan, but Azgadaan is able to parry him away, and Samaara fires again, but it misses. She disengages and moves over to Nyxxa.
The abomination near Nyxxa attacks her again, but his strike once more misses. He no longer wants to take this fight, and he leaps off the edge into the water. Nyxxa tries to strike him, and her glaive cuts through the thick skin of his back.
The skarvyn continue to beat up on Rehgar with some minor blows. He looks more annoyed than anything.
Nyxxa switches out her warglaives for her bow, and she fires at the skarvyn across the way. It immediately drops as the arrow pierces through its head. However, her second attack isn’t as lucky, as the skarvyn ducks under the arrow.
Nyxxa then goes to try and help Rehgar.
Another skarvyn wakes up one of his buddies.
However, Azgadaan casts sleep again! Several skarvyn drop to sleep again, including the abomination that’s underwater.
The charmed abomination puts his two buddies gently on the ground for their nap. However, one of the other skarvyn wakes up one of his companions.
Rehgar swings at one of the skarvyn with booming blade, as well as the second one. He drops them both unconscious instead of killing them.
A skarvyn reaches down and wakes the abomination in the water, while another abomination swings at Azgadaan. He then charges forward and leaps into the water with Azgadaan grappled.
Rehgar moves past the unconscious skarvyn to help Azgadaan. His eyes flare orange-red, and he casts bloodlust on Azgadaan, then drops another sleeping skarvyn fully unconscious.
Several of the skarvyn start to flee, seeing themselves unmatched. However, the skarvyn abomination that was in the water jumps across the stream to look down at the unconscious form of Throkta.
The abomination that is pinning Azgadaan tries to crush the air out of him. Azgadaan breaks free of the grapple and he casts sleep for a third time. The really wounded abomination falls asleep, along with the remaining normal skarvyn.
Samaara releases a barrage of arrows into the skarvyn abomination near Azgadaan. Nyxxa runs and wakes up Throkta, and he jerks awake and scrambles to get back to his feet. Throkta then knocks the abomination near Azgadaan unconscious.
They then go through and knock all the sleeping creatures into true unconsciousness, and they pile them along a walkway. However, some of the skarvyn that were not asleep did get away.
However, one of the skarvyn abominations continues to attack, but he is getting piled on by the warband. One of the sleeping abominations is also shackled, and he struggles to break free, but he is unable to do so.
Nyxxa speaks in draconic.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: We mean you no harm. We just want to try and understand you.
It seems that the abomination starts to calm, and Nyxxa suggests they head back to the surface as it’s likely that the skarvyn that escaped will bring back reinforcements.
Rehgar offers to bring the skarvyn they captured to the surface with the help of the charmed abomination if the rest of the party wanted to keep pursuing the spirits, however, Nyxxa is concerned that they will encounter resistance on the way back.
Throkta says: It’s probably another hour to the site. There’s no telling if we’ll get ambushed.
Azgadaan says: Thank you, Throkta. I’m sorry my spell spilled over on you and put you to sleep.
Throkta says: That was you? Be more careful. There are better places to sleep. But. No harm, no foul.
Nyxxa says: Nevertheless, it was useful.
Nyxxa looks at the pile of skarvyn, and mentions she would like to speak with the charmed abomination.
They start to lift the skarvyn up to carry them to the surface. They opt to leave a few behind to show they meant them no harm, and Rehgar asks the charmed abomination to get his friends back to safety once they get a few of them to the surface. The abomination grunts eagerly.
Nyxxa chats with the abomination in draconic.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Where do you come from?
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Where do… come from?
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Do you know how long you’ve been around? How many suns? Moons?
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Not… like sun. Not sure. Sun bright sky. Stay underground. Less ouch.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: I see.
Nyxxa translates back to Rehgar.
Rehgar says: That makes sense. These guys normally try to avoid sunlight. It seems they survive better underground.
Nyxxa says: It hurts them.
Rehgar says: Hm. Maybe their vision is better underground.
Nyxxa says: Most likely.
She goes back to draconic.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: You answer to Sinestra, correct?
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Me answer? What answer?
Nyxxa says [draconic]: You follow. Who do you follow?
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Follow… follow her.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: What do you call her?
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Me don’t understand. She not know name. Name?
Nyxxa gestures to her hair.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: She has this but black, correct?
The skarvyn thinks really hard.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Many have… that. She… me not know. Head hurt.
Azgadaan says: What are you asking him?
Nyxxa says: I’m asking him who he answers to.
Azgadaan says: Oh. I can make a picture.
Nyxxa says: That would be helpful!
Azgadaan uses mold earth to make an image of Sinestra.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: She.
He nods.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: She tells you something and you do it.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: She say fight, so fight.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Why?
The skarvyn’s eyes look at Nyxxa and then down.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Me not… understand.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Others fight. Listen to someone for reasons.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: Yes. Me listen to you because you friend.
Nyxxa says: Ah.
She looks at Rehgar.
Nyxxa says: This may be a bit counter productive.
The skarvyn abomination seemed genuinely confused when she asked him why he listened to Sinestra.
Nyxxa says: It seems like it’s almost in their nature to obey her.
Rehgar says: That makes sense. If these creatures were created, in some capacity, it makes sense there was some sort of deep-seated programming that would require them to listen.
Nyxxa says: But it seems that it’s not so deep-seated that the magic can’t tamper with it.
Rehgar says: It may not be a spell. For so many to be under her control would be a feat of magic that would be unprecedented, unless there’s some other degree of alchemy or magic at work.
Azgadaan says: I believe Sinestra to be a… black dragon, considering her scale color when she flashed it at us.
Rehgar says: That is exceptionally terrifying, I imagine. What is a dragon?
Azgadaan says: Do you remember the great red wyrm in the sky? That’s a dragon.
Rehgar says: And she’s one of them?
Nyxxa says: And she killed him. So she may be just as powerful or more so.
Azgadaan says: And what knowledge I got from Lady Shaspira, the black dragons are not mentally well.
Rehgar says: And Arthak picked a fight with her?
Nyxxa says: Well, he didn’t know.
Azgadaan says: And I helped him, so I did as well.
Rehgar says: Well, you got balls. Nonetheless, if our little scaled friends have some secrets we can crack, maybe we can learn more.
Azgadaan says: Nyxxa. Could you ask our friend to see if there are orders to target myself or Arthak?
He makes a picture of Arthak on the ground, and Nyxxa asks the skarvyn as much. The skarvyn seems confused, like he can’t differentiate between individuals. Nyxxa thanks him, as he’s trying really hard.
Nyxxa asks him to describe each of the individuals with them.
Skarvyn Abomination says [draconic]: You horned and colors are not red. You tall, not big horns, but red. You fast and hard to squeeze, you strong and squeeze back.
Nyxxa praises him, and he smiles. Nyxxa then asks if he knows the name “skarvyn” and he confirms that’s what Sinestra called them. The skarvyn just nods along.
Nyxxa asks if anyone is okay with giving names, and Rehgar is okay with it, so Nyxxa introduces Rehgar. She then asks if the skarvyn has a name, and he doesn’t, so she asks if he wants a name, and the skarvyn is unsure.
Rehgar says: He wants a name? I almost want to keep this guy.
Nyxxa says: I doubt he’ll be as friendly when he wakes up.
Rehgar says: Maybe not.
Nyxxa says: But maybe he’ll remember it.
Rehgar says: He’ll remember it. He’ll also remember I used magic.
Nyxxa says: Do you think he’ll understand that?
Rehgar says: probably not.
Nyxxa says: My concern is his mistress may kill him for this.
Rehgar says: Well. I guess we’ll find out. The guy says he follows because he doesn’t have a reason, right? What about dabu? It means “to obey” in orcish.
Nyxxa says: I like it. Any objections?
Azgadaan says: I just find that name a bit at odds for what we want from them in general. So maybe not Dabu. We don’t want him to obey…
Rehgar says: It’s not that that’s his destiny, it’s what he’s currently defined by. What he becomes in the future is up to him.
Azgadaan says: Hm. It’s your spell, and I hope he’s not with her much longer.
Rehgar says: Well, I hope we can put that to an end. Or at least learn some more about them. What makes them want to serve.
Azgadaan says: Indeed. And if it’s magical, I can hopefully help.
Nyxxa says: That’s what we can start on the rest of today.
Rehgar says: I’ll bring them back to the island, but then I’ll come back here to help you get into the manor. This is more than I was expecting, and I have you to thank.
Nyxxa says: Well, that was mostly Azgadaan.
She looks back to the skarvyn.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: How does Dabu sound, big guy?
Dabu says [draconic]: Hmm… that me? Me Dabu and skarvyn too?
'''Nyxxa says [draconic]: You are all skarvyn, but just you are Dabu.
Azgadaan fashions a small plaque with the name and shows it to Dabu.
Azgadaan says: This is what your name looks like.
Nyxxa translates.
Dabu repeats his name periodically as they go, and Azgadaan tucks the plaque into one of the skarvyn’s pockets.
They arrive at the sewer entrance, and they squeeze their way up the ladder. Azgadaan uses mold earth to make a bit more room. As this is going on, one of the skarvyn that is contained is just seething.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Do you want a name as well?
Skarvyn says [draconic]: Names… why?
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Some people like their names.
Dabu says [draconic]: Dabu likes name.
The unnamed skarvyn snorts and doesn’t respond further.
Dabu says [draconic]: It okay. We go back, and you stay with friends. Maybe you get name later.
The skarvyn bares his teeth in response, but Dabu just looks a bit sad.
Dabu says [draconic]: Me not want other skarvyn angry, but lots of fighting. Understand.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Yes. If you don’t want to make them upset, maybe keep your name to yourself.
Dabu says [draconic]: Me tell lady mage. She nice. Other her. We help. Guard deep place.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Who is lady mage?
Dabu says [draconic]: She have name, think.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: What is her name?
Dabu says [draconic]: Hard to think.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: It’s okay you can do it.
Dabu says [draconic]: We, um… we… Dabu not remember. But she ask lots of questions. Work with small ones. Smarter than Dabu. Stinger? Um. She very brains. Not like Dabu. She look at scary. Try to figure out scary with other hers and hims. We watch area to stop bad from coming into scary.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: What is scary?
Dabu says [draconic]: Me not sure. Something down here scary. Make noise. Throw. Sometimes make people act weird until Dabu bop on head, then scary go back into ground.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Oh. Maybe those are called ghosts.
Dabu says [draconic]: Maybe. Me go find her and tell about name. Me ask her name again. Try better to remember. But she not Her. We listen to her because friend, like you, and you, and you.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Sinestra.
Dabu says [draconic]: That other her. She is kind.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Lady mage?
Dabu says [draconic]: Maybe. Not sure. But you smart.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Okay. So Lady and Sinestra are the two ladies.
Dabu says [draconic]: Me not know many ladies. But yes.
Rehgar suggests that, maybe, if they want to look into the spirits, Dabu could get them there and perhaps dissuade the Resistance from attacking. Though it is risky.
Dabu says [draconic]: Me know tunnels. Tunnels easy to navigate. Can bring to scary if want?
Nyxxa says: Hm. It seems incredibly risky, and we have less than an hour with him.
Rehgar says: It’s true, but he may know some back routes, and if we take a rest I can make sure he remains amicable. But I am loathe to leave our guests unattended.
Nyxxa asks Azgadaan what he thinks, and Azgadaan said they can always double back if they run into issues.
Nyxxa suggests that they send a note with the skarvyn that they want to put the spirits to rest to avoid some risk, and Samaara agrees that may be a safer plan.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Now, Dabu. Would you be able to give a message to mage lady?
Dabu says [draconic]: Dabu can do, yes.
The group takes a short rest while they get the note written up to give to Dabu. Nyxxa continues some small talk with Dabu in draconic. She asks him to tell Sinestra that Nyxxa wants to speak with her, and Dabu said he will try to remember.
The Bleeding Hollow scouts are just watching this all happen.
Dabu says [draconic]: Dabu will see again someday. Take good care of Dabu skarvyn friends.
Nyxxa says [draconic]: Rehgar will.
Dabu says [draconic]: Rehgar friend.
He puts a clawed hand on Rehgar’s shoulder, and Rehgar clasps it for a moment. Then he returns to the sewers with the note and his little nameplate.
Rehgar says: I’m gonna miss that guy. Maybe fate will have us cross paths again when we get to the bottom of this.
Nyxxa suggests that they go back with Rehgar to meet up with Arthak on the island, and it’s agreed, and Rehgar arranges for a ship to get the skarvyn back to the island.
Azgadaan asks Nyxxa what she’s planning on doing, and Nyxxa looks to Samaara.
Samaara says: Should you not require my presence further, there are things I would take care of. But should you require me for something further.
Nyxxa says: It depends on you, Azgadaan. We can do what we want, and I don’t know where to stay here. Unless you had some business here.
Azgadaan says: Currently I have no business here I can think of. Hopefully they’ll be able to deal with the spirits, but… I hope they can. Anyway, I’m going to go to the boat and hopefully get to the island. Maybe Go’el needs help, or I can do some gardening.
Nyxxa uses thieves’ cant to speak to Samaara.
Nyxxa says [thieves' cant]: I don’t want to leave too much in your hands. Do you want me to stay?
Samaara says [thieves' cant]: Do what you can, but don’t overextend. I can move about easier than you.
Nyxxa looks back at Azgadaan.
Nyxxa says: There’s some scouting I want to do, but, Azgadaan, you said that you wanted to talk, yes? We can do that while Rehgar is securing the boat.
Azgadaan tosses Throkta 15 iron coins for his help, and he thanks them, and apologizes that they didn’t make it all the way down to the haunted caverns. However, Throkta is clearly relieved.
Late that night, Arthak had convinced Thura to go see the Frostwolves. They mounted up on her boar, and they ride into the camp. The sounds of frostwolves barking in the night meet them. Some guards draw their weapons, but they are lowered upon seeing the banner of the Broken Blade.
Go’el's frostwolf and her pup awaken as they approach and stare at them.
As they hop off the boar, they also hear a low growl from an invisible force. The moonlight just barely reveals spectral wolves lurking near the entrance of the tent as feral guards.
Arthak Saurfang says: I need to speak with him.
The feral spirits growl for a moment, and Snowsong--Go’el’s frostwolf--lumbers over to Arthak, sniffs him, and then offers a low bark. Not long after, the tent flap opens to reveal Go’el. He is wearing just some trousers.
Go'el says: What’s going on? What do you need Arthak? What--
He then sees that Arthak is down an eye.
Go'el says: What happened?
Arthak Saurfang says: Blackhand wants me dead. Unimportant. We need to talk.
Go'el says: ...Blackhand wants you dead and that’s unimportant. Sure. Fine. He can pass.
He looks at the feral spirits then opens the tent. Arthak apologizes for the lateness, and Go’el thanks Thura for ensuring Arthak didn’t stumble his way there alone. Thura nods, and then hops off to take care of her boar.
Once Arthak and Go’el are back in the tent, he tells Arthak to start the beginning.
Go'el says: And remember to breathe, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: Many things make sense that didn’t before. There’s a lot that’s been going on that I haven’t felt like I could tell you, and now I can, and I have to.
Go'el says: I heard about your arrival, and that you had a meeting with Blackhand. I’m assuming that’s where you lost your eye?
Arthak Saurfang says: It was a show. I killed his spy.
Go'el says: So he was spying on you.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes. Thinks I’m a threat. I didn’t dissuade him of that, but lines have been drawn. But I learned something, Go’el.
Go'el says: What is it that’s driven you into such a frenzy?
Arthak Saurfang says: Are you sure we’re safe?
Go'el says: As safe as we can be.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know we haven’t seen eye to eye much lately, but Blackhand is false. I’ve been told it.
Go'el says: Blackhand is false?
Arthak Saurfang says: The Doomhammer. He doesn’t carry it.
Go'el says: How could that be possible?
Arthak Saurfang says: he’s a talented smith, and Gul’dan would not be well-served if his puppet seemed illegitimate. I think they made it together. A fake.
Go’el leans back a bit, his eyes widening, and his hand stroking his beard.
Go'el says: Well… that’s something.
Arthak Saurfang says: That’s what I learned tonight.
Go'el says: How did you come about this information?
Arthak Saurfang says: One of Orgrim’s blood came to my clan recently. He taught me things, and after my show with Blackhand he saw fit to tell me this. He’s seen it. He knows where it is.
Go'el says: And where's that?
Arthak Saurfang says: Where Blackhand found it. The core of the world.
Go'el says: On Draenor?
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes.
Go'el says: And you’re sure. You trust this supposed kin of Doomhammer? I didn’t know he had any living kin.
Arthak Saurfang says: He’s half-ogre. Half-breed. He’s shown me things. Enough that I’m willing to trust this.
Go'el says: And what do you aim to do?
Arthak Saurfang says: Give it to you.
Go'el says: Give it to me? For what purpose, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: Blackhand is only part of the problem. He does not run the Horde, Go’el.
Go'el says: You speak of Gul’dan.
Arthak Saurfang says: And more. Chieftains. Warlocks. A group of them in the darkness steering everything. Blackhand is powerful and he is far from a fool, but he is the public face.
Go'el says: So it’s true. Long I had suspected such puppeteering behind the scenes. But to hear you say it, I believe you. Do I want to know how you came across this information? It has not gone above my notice that you’ve spent a concerning amount of time speaking with Gul’dan.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m being scouted. Watched. Tested. Am I a threat? Like my father and your father before you, or am I an asset.
Go’el shakes his head.
Go'el says: This is a great deal to take in.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know.
Go'el says: You can’t mean to work with Gul’dan and these shadowy masters that he commands.
Arthak Saurfang says: If it paves the way for something better, yes.
Go'el says: If it does that, he will cut you down.
Arthak Saurfang says: And that’s why I want his attention on me and not the one that’s going to do the work. I think if I impress him enough he’s going to look for a replacement for Blackhand. A new puppet. I’ve done well. I’ve shown promise. So let him think that will be me.
Go'el says: You want me… you want me to find the Doomhammer and bring it back and challenge him? Is that what this is about?
Arthak Saurfang says: You knew Doomhammer. No orc alive holds to what we were once better than you.
Go'el says: I am humbled you have such a high opinion of me, Arthak, but I do not believe that I’m the orc that’s fit to lead the Horde.
Arthak Saurfang says: Then who is? Look around you. We have the one currently holding the position, we have Grom--brave and strong, yes, but a strategist no--we have Gul’dan, we have traitors, and cowards, and worse. You don’t want to lead, and I understand that, and that is why you can. You care. You want us to be better, and you actually act better. No one else is worthy of the hammer. No one else can follow in Orgrim’s steps. Just you.
Go’el sighs deeply.
Go'el says: Arthak… I… I am not Orgrim Doomhammer. I could never dream to be an orc as great as he is, as he was. I could only hope that the ancestors would see me to be half the orc of my father and mother. Doomhammer and Grommash. Any of the heroes of our time. I don’t know if you are right. If this is the course of action I should take. If this is… the path that the ancestors wish me to walk.
Arthak Saurfang says: Please. They killed everyone else.
Go'el says: But you’re right. They did. Precious few orcs remain. Orcs of honor and perhaps… you have a point. That I don’t believe I can lead the Horde means I can at least take a step in making the orcish people into what they used to be. The orcs of my father. Of your father. However, I cannot go to Draenor without a proper reason.
Arthak Saurfang says: Dragonmaw.
Go'el says: Heh. I suppose they did provide an ample cover, didn’t they?
Arthak Saurfang says: Your enemies and mine will assume you want to avoid the war to come. And because they are not idiots, they will see the advantage of you not being here. Blackhand knows you would defend me, and he will be happy to send you on your way. Gul’dan doesn’t want you here to begin with, and he will be happy to send you on your way.
Go'el says: Very well. I’ll assemble a team. Make my case to the warchief, to the elder, and I’ll chase this legend of yours, Arthak. I would be lying if I said there were not reasons I wished to return. Though it is dying, it is our home, and there are people there who need me as well.
Arthak Saurfang says: All the more reason why you need to go.
Go'el says: I’ll put Nazgrel in charge in my absence, and I’ll have to find people to accompany me. I’d be lying if I said that you at my side wouldn’t put me at ease.
Arthak Saurfang says: I can’t go, and you shouldn’t trust me. You should also know that when you come back, look to Garrosh.
Go'el says: He knows, I assume.
Arthak Saurfang says: More than most. Whatever I become, whatever I join, whatever I do, if you come back and Garrosh still lives, tell him that the Sons of the Horde need your hammer. And after that, don’t hesitate.
Go'el says: You’ve grown fast, Arthak. Too fast, I fear. May the spirits of our ancestors guide us on our journeys and keep our sight clear of darkness and shadows. No matter what nights we travel through. All of us. There’s one thing I don’t believe I can listen to you about. One piece of advice I will not follow. I will continue to trust you. You said yourself that the orcish people are surrounded by cowards. Those of us who desire to see a Horde that we can all be proud of must believe in each other. That, I believe. I would see you be a part of that Horde, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: Maybe.
Go’el leans back again and sighs.
Go'el says: I suppose I should see to who I’m going to bring with me. Perhaps Sorak would be willing to come with. I’ll speak with him in the morning. You should get some rest too, Arthak. This has been a lot. And I may not see you again. Not for some time, at least.
Arthak Saurfang says: Not for some time. Thank you, for everything.
Go'el says: And thank you for trusting in me, Arthak. It means more than you know. You’re not the only one that is still trying to figure out this chieftain thing.
Arthak Saurfang says: You’ve never failed me. And you try harder than most. Finally, a lot of things make sense.
Go'el says: When Garrosh returns, send him my regards.
Arthak Saurfang says: I will.
Go'el says: And watch over Sadras, would you? You’re not alone. Don’t pretend that you are. Now go on. Get some rest. We have work to do, it seems.
Arthak Saurfang says: We do. Just one last thing. Remnii.
Go'el says: What of her?
Arthak Saurfang says: Did she speak to you of a vision?
Go'el says: We spoke of many things, yes.
Arthak Saurfang says: Alright. Good. Good.
Go'el says: A shame. Were she still here, I would have asked her to come as well, but I hope the spirits watch over her as well, wherever her journeys have taken her.
Arthak Saurfang says: She’ll make friends. She’s good at that.
Go'el says: Of that, I have no doubt. Ancestors watch over you, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: And you, my friend. Until next we meet.
Go’el nods, and watches Arthak get up and leave the tent. The feral spirits allow Arthak’s passage, and Thura looks to her chieftain.
Thura Saurfang says: Are you ready? We should head back.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yeah. We should. Thank you for bringing me, cousin.
Thura Saurfang says: It’s the least I could do. Whatever plagues you, Arthak, I’m here to support you. Even if I don’t need to know all of it. I wish you would tell me all of it, but I understand that you can’t. Not everyone will understand that.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know.
Thura Saurfang says: Not everyone will be okay with that either.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know.
Thura Saurfang says: As long as you know.
They mount up again, and they head back to Gramgun’kur.
Azgadaan and Nyxxa go on a walk as Rehgar prepares the ship. Nyxxa suggests they speak in Darnassian or Common for safety.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: You said you wished to speak?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I was wondering how… you think I might deal with Arthak seeing every time I try to bring something up it gets shot down. He doesn’t consider my… options much.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Arthak has been rather stubborn, but you’ve been with him longer. Has he always been like this?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I only have a few month’s advantage.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: But has he always been like this?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Stubborn, yes. He was more open to my ideas before, but that’s when I was a terrifying demon.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: And was that before the clan?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Before the clan, yes.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Well. Something I have noticed about Arthak is that word on the winds is that he only recently came about this clan. Of course, by the time I met him, it was established, but it’s plain to see that this is something he lives and dies for. I believe that anyone, even a blind woman, can see that.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Indeed.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Something I’ve noticed is that everything he’s done since he got here is to benefit his clan or his cause, as his cause does benefit his clan. The reason he was shooting your ideas down is that they were not cohesive, which is understandable, but I understand that can be frustrating.
Azgadaan nods.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I guess having the benefit of knowing him from before the clan, he would have bene a lot easier to get along with. Or more willing to go into uncharted territory.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: He was much more flexible back then, but there was a point where things changed, then it got better, then worse again. It was around the time he touched a giant eye.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: ...what?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: It was the one that he cleaved in two. But we saw it elsewhere.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: What eye are you referring to?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: The eye of the titan.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I don’t follow.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: The eye changed him a little. He got better, but that was the eye Arthak cleaved in two at the gate.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Ohhh… so it was a… hm. He hasn’t been the same since then?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Not quite.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I suppose you should simply talk to him about it. Explain how you’ve been feeling. And, you are an eredar, and while you are not exactly like one… how do you feel about manipulating others?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I’m not fully against it. I’ve been taught to do so.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Perhaps the best way to convince Arthak to do something is to bring up how it would benefit his clan or his cause. That would seem the easiest way. If you’d rather not do that…
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Perhaps a mixture of both.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: But Arthak is a man who is responsible for the lives of a thousand people. Orcs and others. I’m not sure he’s set up if something happens to him. I don’t know his plans, and I wouldn’t put it past him to know what happens to his clan if he dies.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Maybe he has it written down somewhere, or his mate has something.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: The eye could have changed him, but ultimately, power changes people whether they want it or not. You and me have more flexibility, though.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Not particularly tied down to an organization.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Or our people.
Azgadaan looks a tad more hesitant at that, like he may be attached to some people.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Demons, I mean.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Oh. Yeah. Not quite attached.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I have been thinking, Azgadaan. Perhaps I should start something for demons like us. I imagine we aren’t the only ones like that.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I assume so considering my mother had a support network somewhere. I can’t imagine her doing that alone.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: What?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Oh. I guess you weren’t there for it. My mother was the biggest reason why the draenei were able to escape Draenor.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Oh.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: She was able to confuse their systems and buy them time to slip away.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: So she was a spy?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Yes. And then she was executed.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: … Ah. But she did much good.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: She did.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: She died a hero's death then. And I take it you are deciding to follow in her hoof steps?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: In my own.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Well, as I recall, one of the first things we spoke about is you said you were a good liar. I must admit it made me hesitant to trust you, but if I can count on you to keep secrets like that, perhaps we can build something of our own. And join like-minded individuals. People who are unbound from our own people. From their decisions. What they are. So even though others call us demons, that doesn’t define us. So what do you think, Azgadaan?
She extends a hand.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I think it’s worth a try.
His eyes have been wandering.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Is something wrong?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: No. It’s just the method of execution.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: What did they do?
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Nothing to be spoken of right now.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I understand, and I’m sorry if I…
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: It’s fine. But it sounds like a good plan, and a good thing to do.
He shakes Nyxxa’s hand at that point.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Alright. I will leave you with Rehgar then, unless you had something more to discuss.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: When you asked about things on Draenor, I held some things back… but do these names remind you of anyone? Tyrande Whisperwind, Malfurion Stormrage, Illidan Stormrage, and Kur’talos Ravencrest?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Two of those I don’t know, but Tyrande I know she’s… still the leader of what used to be my people.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: So Tyrande is the leader. What of the other name?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: It’s… difficult to explain. The name sounds familiar-ish, but… what do you know of Illidan?
Azgadaan provides what he remembered from the information in Aracyra’s room, which is basically nothing. He was just mentioned during the war.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I recognize the name, but I don’t know… I think he’s important to the organization I used to be a part of. I don’t know how, but promise me you won’t tell anyone this, Azgadaan.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I promise.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: The Illidari. Though I suppose Caria would have blown that out of the water. We called ourselves the Illidari.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: And I’m assuming you don’t know the significance of that name?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: No. I don’t remember an Illidan. But… If I happen to remember anything, I’ll let you know.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Thank you. Follow up question, how long do your people live for? Do you know?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I don’t remember.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Do you think it would be worth contacting them?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I’d worry for your safety in that regard. If the demons knew about them, I assume they would be prepared for that and they were powerful enough to fight back once. I believe any countermeasures they have now might be worse, and I don’t think they would be above shooting a messenger. It may be best to hold off, and they might know already. I also worry about the Legion intercepting it.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Indeed.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Even I am hesitant to contact them, and I knew them once.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Maybe we can use someone to contact them that’s not a demon. In the future.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Yes. Plans for another time, and we seem to be trapped for now, so we should have time to think, but if I have any ideas, I’ll let you know.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: What are your plans for now?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: There’s some… business. I’ve been looking to make some allies in unlikely places. It’s best I leave it at that for now so you have the deniability.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: True enough.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Plus I don’t know what will come of it, and if anything happens to me, I leave it to you to continue my mission.
Azgadaan laughs.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I already spoke to Levia, but we found someone is keeping an eye on her. Something to be mindful of. She is aware, but…
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Then, I need to collect many magical things, and perhaps we can get something for her.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: If she lays low, eventually they’ll have other things to keep an eye on. And I can check.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Oh, I have a request. If you find or know where I can find something that’s deeply connected to this plane, please tell me. I need it for an item that would allow me to stay here. So I can’t be summoned or banished. That way if my father gets the go-ahead from someone, he can’t just tear me from reality.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Hm. How eredar-like.
A myriad number of things comes to mind. Special ore on Azeroth. Gemstones that are tied with elemental energy. Technically, a vial from the Sunwell potentially. Also anything that is magically secure. One thing to consider, is the ethereals clearly have a master of inter-planar travel and they may have an item.
Nyxxa offers the information, and strongly recommends against the Sunwell.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Things to consider. Thank you. If nothing else, I can start digging.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I don’t know specific names, but anything that’s purely from this world.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: I’ll look into it. Especially seeing we have that mission from Go’el. It may be useful to him too.
At that moment, there’s a bell, as the ship is getting ready to leave.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: Also look after Levia while I’m away.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: If she has nothing else to do, I could teach her orcish.
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: And she may have an idea about things that are native to this world. I wouldn’t pester her too much though. She’s been through a lot.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Was there anything you wanted me to tell her?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: ...For the time being, tell her a bit about yourself and adventures you’ve been on. If you wished to. I think it would be good for the two of you to get to know each other better.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Possibly. I may take her with me. Alright. I’ll leave you to it. I trust you’ll be with Samaara?
Nyxxa says [darnassian]: I’ll watch her back when I can.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Thank you. By the way, do you think any of these items would be good for a sending stone?
Azgadaan produces the materials from the spirits.
Nyxxa looks at it. The spirit cloth is likely not good for it, but the spirit cloth could be sold or it could be refined into leather or armor or cloaks of some kind. Or possibly bags. The ectoplasm she has no idea about, but she has a feeling something will happen if it’s consumed. Likewise, the adhesive ink from the mimic bindings would probably not be good for a sending stone.
Azgadaan says [darnassian]: Perhaps there is the potential for trading components…
They part ways, and Azgadaan and Rehgar board the ship to head to Quel’danas while Nyxxa spends the rest of the time on the mainland working with Samaara on the Resistance mission. She opts to sleep for the rest of the day so she can work at night.
Samaara reconvenes with her later, and then Nyxxa goes off to do her part in the night. She is able to take note of some guard patrols and generalized information.
Later on, she did get a sending from Khadgar, and this time Nyxxa is able to respond, and she explains that the previous night she had been being tailed. She mentions that Sinestra knows about her, but she is still working toward the goal.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: Good.
Nyxxa says: I hope me showing you up doesn’t sour anything.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: Not for me, but the rest of the individuals were curious. Our mutual friend seems quite enthusiastic, however, so it worked to our advantage.
Nyxxa says: I’m glad she can be of help. That means I can tell you less things.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: Which is good for your own safety. As far as Sinestra is concerned… she has not acted strangely, as of yet. I have not yet noticed anything that would confirm nor deny your claim. Some others remain suspicious, while others believe her to be genuine. From those who have heard your warning.
Nyxxa says: Also did Dabu make it back safely?
Khadgar says [telepathically]: I’m not sure who that is.
Nyxxa says: An orc friend of mine was researching the skarvyn to break the hold Sinestra has on them.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: You believe she has a hold on them? They seem to revere her for her role in freeing them from orcish slavers.
Nyxxa says: She’s saying they are from Draenor?
Khadgar says [telepathically]: She’s saying the orcs created them, and she freed them.
Nyxxa says: Hm. Well. It makes a convincing story, but when she was speaking to the orcs she was very… either way.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: I understand and appreciate your candor.
Nyxxa says: I’m just concerned about what she’s planning.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: I am too, and for what it’s worth, she’s guilty until proven innocent. I know a thing or two about dragons of Azeroth. If she is a black dragon and she is manipulating us, I will not allow her.
Nyxxa says: That’s reassuring, but seeing she knows my secret, and seeing what I suspect about her true colors, I’m worried she may use it against me. I’m going to try and deal with that and potentially reveal her true colors.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: That would be good. The resistance has reclaimed the manor that belonged to her and her husband. I have trusted individuals looking into it to find any secrets. If she is as cunning as you say, I imagine it will be well hidden, and it will take some time to find anything of note.
Nyxxa says: Well, in the meantime, if she’s wanting for a pet. I’m in no position to refuse.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: You are more than willing to reach out to her. I wouldn’t want to tip her off.
Nyxxa says: I’ve attempted to do so.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: I assume through this Dabu?
Nyxxa says: A skarvyn. A friend we made. I spoke with him.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: You named him.
Nyxxa says: He didn’t have a name, but he wanted one.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: That is endearing.
Nyxxa says: He was adorable.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: I’ll try to reach out to this Dabu. Do you know what he was doing?
Nyxxa explains the phantom activity in the sewers.
Nyxxa says: he spoke of a kind mage lady that was different from Sinestra and asked him many questions.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: He was likely speaking of Magistrix Anice Erona. She was a former instructor at Falthrien Academy. She has been looking into the activity with the risen dead for a number of reasons. Some hope they can be turned against the Horde. She is not inclined to agree.
Nyxxa says: A friend of mine wants to put them to rest. We were investigating that today. But there is a lot of projects going o0n, so we sent a message with Dabu offering our help in putting them to rest.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: Well, I don’t know her personally, but I can try to pass on word that your desire to help is genuine. I appreciate you wanting to do this. You are an increasingly curious individual, Nyxxa.
Nyxxa says: I cannot help what it is in my nature to do.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: Whatever you say your nature is, I can say I’ve gotten a good grasp over the last few days.
Nyxxa says: Well, they say only the foolish fight the Legion, and I’m an idiot.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: A convenient defense. Thank you for your updates. I’ll alert you if anything changes.
Nyxxa says: Thank you for trusting me.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: of course. Call it a hunch, but I believe I made the right decision.
Nyxxa says: I’m indebted to you.
Khadgar says [telepathically]: And I you.
December 7th
The morning rolls around, and it’s quite chilly. Azgadaan and Rehgar arrive sometime in the early afternoon on Quel’danas. Azgadaan works on a protection from evil and good scroll.
Halno is working on teaching Sagaz while he works on a scroll of his own. After all, he doesn’t want to go messing with his body too much before teaching Sagaz something substantial.
When Arthak wakes up, Sadras comes to see him, looking a bit irritated.
Sadras says: Thura told me about your wild ride last night. What were you thinking?
Arthak Saurfang says: I needed to talk to Go’el.
Sadras says: And you had to do it right then?
Arthak Saurfang says: Things are moving fast. I had to, yes.
Sadras sighs.
Sadras says: Things are moving fast, but you’re going to wear yourself thin, Arthak. That’s not the only thing. You’ve been running back and forth doing errands for every fucking person but yourself, and you listen to advice from no one. People care about you, Arthak. A lot of people. And if you don’t take care of yourself, you’re going to die. What then? What happens to everyone that’s followed you? There’s a thousand orcs in Gramgun’kur that have joined you, and I’m one of them. And now you run and pick a fight with the warchief, and instead of getting rest when you lose an eye, you run off to to a meeting with a chieftain in the middle of the night after I asked you to rest!
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m working on getting the clan to a point where it can exist without me.
Sadras says: That shouldn’t. Be. The. Goal. A clan is only as strong as its chieftain, Arthak. As you. The clan will survive because it’s chieftain is strong. Not because the chieftain set them up well before the chieftain got himself killed. This clan is only months old. Its culture isn’t even decided. It won’t be figured out for generations, Arthak. They joined because of you. If you die, the clan dies. It’s happened before. How many other clans have started following a strong person only for them to get themselves killed. They splinter. They break. And they are either consumed by other clans or fall back into obscurity. Only the greatest clans can survive something like that, and the people in this clan are great, but it is not. Not yet. And if you keep running around like a fatalistic martyr for the Horde, it won’t change. I’m sorry. This isn’t what you need right now.
Arthak Saurfang says: What would you have me do?
Sadras says: People haven’t seen you, Arthak. You’ve been running around. Ever since our ceremony. You’ve been so busy either locked up in the forge, or off doing errands for whoever asks. The ban’dinoriel can drop any day, yes, but the rest of the Horde will survive without you for a few days.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know. And you’re right. But with Blackhand after me… you’re right the clan won’t survive if something happens, and Blackhand knows that, and if he gets me, he won’t stop there. He’ll grind this all into the dirt out of spite, ensuring nothing I left behind can rise against him. That’s why I was trying to avoid this fight.
Sadras says: You sound like you already made up your mind. Go on. Go back. Keep running yourself in circles. I’m sure the clan will be able to keep up for a while. They’re strong orcs.
Arthak Saurfang says: I can change my mind. If you have… I’m not always right. Tell me what you want me to do.
Sadras says: I want you to be here. I want to know that you love your people, that you love me.
Arthak Saurfang says: Everything I’ve done, I do because I love my people. And because I love you. I don’t want to lose that. I don’t want to slow down and take time and relax and then that is when I should have been paying attention. That’s when the dagger comes in and it crumbles down.
Sadras says: Don’t lie to me, Arthak. There will never be a time that you believe that you can sit down and breathe. You’ll keep working yourself until there’s nothing left. You’ll keep losing pieces of yourself until there’s nothing left. I don’t have all the answers for you, either. Maybe you’re right. Maybe you’ve been right this whole time. But I hate this. I hate this war. I hate this planet. And I hate what it’s done to you. I know we both changed, Arthak, but when we spoke those months ago, I still saw the orc I fell in love with. When I looked into your eyes. But now you’ve lost even one of those, and it’s getting harder to see. And I don’t want to lose that. I don’t want you to lose that.
Arthak sighs heavily.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m sorry. I just don’t know. I don’t know how to deal with anyone who is not an enemy.
Sadras’s shoulders sink.
Sadras says: Maybe you’re right. Maybe you’ve been right about everything. Ancestors watch you, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: Sadras, I don’t want to be right. I never have.
Sadras says: You have a funny way of showing it, Arthak.
Sadras turns and storms out of the tent.
However, after a bit of self-contemplation, Arthak goes to talk to Halno.
Arthak Saurfang says: Halno. Sagaz, can we have a moment?
Sagaz nods and bows, then sees himself out after trying really hard not to look at Arthak’s empty eye socket.
Halno says: Arthak… what can I… do for you today?
Arthak Saurfang says: I need you to talk me out of an idea.
Halno says: Don’t do it.
Arthak Saurfang says: Good start. Hold to that.
Halno says: Wow. It must be really bad. I don’t know if I should be impressed or disappointed.
Arthak Saurfang says: Probably the latter. I think I need to use the Red Mist.
Halno says: Ah. Definitely disappointed. And why is this suddenly your go-to move? Actually, before this…
He looks at an hourglass on the table and checks on his private sanctum.
Arthak Saurfang says: Are we safe to talk?
Halno says: Yes, we’re still good.
Arthak Saurfang says: Blackhand changes my situation. Before the ideas we had to cover the trail between the information and the Resistance… I was confident would hold because I doubted anyone was going to look. That’s changed.
Halno says: I see. That’s… an interesting take on it. What led you to believe that no one would be paying attention to you after you’ve grown in such power in such a short time?
Arthak Saurfang says: Because it… because of Samaara and Nyxxa. I’m not exactly discreet, but I’m an amazing distraction. But. I don’t know this for certain, but I’m confident either Nyxxa or Samaara both have plans. For when the barrier drops. Absences that can be noticed, and I will not have answers for. Not without seeming incompetent or a traitor.
Halno says: And so the… Red Mist…?
Arthak Saurfang says: I can either interfere with their plans, or the Mist can be used publicly, at which point, there’s no reason to suspect a leak.
Halno says: Trueee…. But you still have the issue of looking incompetent if two people get caught doing whatever it is they’re doing. Because Samaara and Nyxxa are, without a doubt, your people.
Arthak Saurfang says: If they vanish, that’s one thing. People come and go, especially satyrs. And draenei… as long as there’s no threat to the Horde, there’s no damage, a problem, yes, but, not an insurmountable one. Not the same as a major information leak being traced to me. But if there’s no leak, it’s escaped slaves.
Halno says: Escaped slaves… again.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes. But I can weather that better. I can’t disrupt what they’re doing.
Halno says: You can, you just don’t want to.
Arthak Saurfang says: Correct.
Halno says: So you use the Red Mist, which will damage everyone involved.
Arthak Saurfang says: Sinestra’s manor is my target. Yes, it will be a public use. Yes, it will cause problems. But whatever Sinestra is planning, whatever she is using the resistance to achieve, I have no doubt it is as awful as the Red Mist. It doesn’t make it right or honorable, but it is the best I can think of. It serves multiple purposes. Protects me. Protects my clan. Strikes out against Sinestra.
Halno says: It makes you the public face enemy for the elves, and by default, your clan.
Arthak Saurfang says: Quite likely, yes.
Halno says: Not to mention just being a blatantly dishonorable display.
Arthak Saurfang says: Is there a third option?
Halno says: I’m sure there are many options, but you brought this to me all of five minutes ago, and I’m a bit baffled as to logic.
Arthak Saurfang says: Why I came to you?
Halno says: No, why the Red Mist was your first choice.
Arthak Saurfang says: Because the leak is the Red Mist.
Halno says: So spin the leak as something else. There is a tower full of scrolls that I’m sure they will love to get their hands on. Magical items. Artifacts. Not to mention it would be a base of attack, which they seem quite fond of.
Arthak Saurfang says: I can’t predict what they will do. I already set it in motion.
Halno says: You’re asking for alternatives. Neither of us specialize in misinformation. That would be your satyr and Samaara’s area, but I’m sure they could spin it as many things. If they only grab the Red Mist, that’s targeted. If they grab anything that’s not attached to the floor, anything that looks important, anything secured, anything people would be upset is gone.
Arthak Saurfang says: … Possible. They’d have to convince the Resistance to make that move.
Halno says: The alternative is they all die. I don’t see why they wouldn’t. Seems a bit of a no-brainer situation. Do it, live. Sure they may not do it the way we want, or they leave it alone or it gets used by you or someone else, and it potentially kills a lot of them. Now of course, that sounds like a threat. I don’t know if they noticed, but we have been helping them a bit.
Arthak grunts.
Halno says: You asked me for alternatives. That’s one I came up with in less than ten minutes. Or is it that you want to use the Red Mist to send another message?
Arthak Saurfang says: I don’t want to use it at all. I can try this. At the very least, it hopefully buys time. If it doesn’t work, maybe something else will happens.
Halno says: Well, if it doesn’t work, they’re not going to be so worried about the Red Mist.
Arthak Saurfang says: Also true. I’ll have to convince Nyxxa and Samaara, but, the alternative…
Halno says: Is they all die, yes. Can’t see why anyone would refuse this. I guess they may kill Nyxxa, but she seems pretty indifferent towards death.
Arthak Saurfang says: Seemingly. She can recover from it. Okay. Good. Thank you, Halno.
Halno says: Of course. This is… not technically what I’m here for, but sure. Anything else I can help with?
Arthak Saurfang says: No. I need to set this in motion. I don’t know what next.
Halno says: Well the problem with plans is they never work.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know. So very few of mine have. Not how I want them to.
Halno says: So it’s best not to dwell on it.
Arthak Saurfang says: I just don’t know what my next move is.
Halno says: You’ll know when the next move becomes available. You can stress about it, worry about it, brood about it, and grunt about it, or you can deal with it as they arise.
Arthak Saurfang says: Alright. You’re right. Talk to Nyxxa and Samaara, and then we move against Sinestra.
Halno says: I wish you luck with that. If there’s nothing else, if you could send Sagaz back in, I need to catch him up on lessons.
Arthak Saurfang says: Of course. Thank you again, Halno.
Halno says: You know where to find me.
Arthak Saurfang says: Are you ready to move against Blackhand? Can you? Will you?
Halno says: Am I ready? This is the first I’ve heard of it, so no.
Arthak Saurfang says: Not that… will you?
Halno says: Well Arthak. That’s up to you to convince me to, isn’t it? I’m not against it, but that’s quite the power play, even for you.
Arthak Saurfang says: Agreed. I have a plan, but, it’ll take time.
Halno says: I look forward to the discussion. But a word of warning. Gul’dan doesn’t like his toys taken away.
Arthak Saurfang says: I can imagine.
Halno says: Excellent. Well, unless you’re interested in learning common, I have a lesson to continue.
Arthak Saurfang says: I am, but I have--
Halno says: Plots and such.
Arthak Saurfang says: A plan and I guess, perhaps, trying to rest for a day.
Halno says: My. I didn’t know you knew how.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m experimenting.
Arthak sighs, and then calls for Sagaz.
Halno says: Oh. He can’t hear you. You need to exit the area.
Arthak Saurfang says: Ah. Magic.
Halno does sparkly hands, and Arthak scoffs, then leaves to fetch Sagaz.
