Arvel was a druid of the pack that once tapped into the power of the Pack Form. However, when the Pack Form was forbidden by Malfurion Stormrage, he dutifully obeyed the edict during the War of the Satyr. In the process, he unfortunately fell to a satyr attack.

Chapter Five: Civil War
When Tol'vas Moonshadow was seemingly bested by Alpha Prime during the attempt to retake Gilneas City from the Wolf Cult, Arvell appeared to Tol'vas in his fading consciousness as a spirit wolf. He encouraged Tol'vas to keep fighting, and he, along with the spirits of many other former druids of the pack, joined their powers with Tol'vas in order to give him the strength to continue the fight against Alpha Prime and ensure Ralaar's rage could finally be put to rest.
