September 23rd

As the strength of the deceased druids of the pack enveloped Tol’vas, he swung his scythe at Alpha Prime with two slashes. He then conjured [Web of Fire] and crashed the radiant flames into the enemy worgen as fire erupted around him.

Alpha Prime raked his claws against Tol’vas, and drove them into Tol’vas’s side, but he didn’t go down. Alpha Prime continued to rake and tear at Tol’vas and tore him down to the ground.

Alpha Prime says: Why. Won’t. You. DIE!
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: We’re stronger than you.

Valorinn leaped onto Alpha Prime’s back and bit into the side of the worgen’s back. Alpha Prime struck back at Valorinn and hurled him off the scaffolding, but Valorinn easily caught himself in the air.

At that moment, Tol’vas got back to his feet and used [Swiftmend] on himself before swinging the scythe into Alpha Prime again and again. The scaffolding was starting to break beneath him, but he pushed the dark-furred worgen back and reclaimed some of the ground as the scythe clipped across Alpha Prime’s eyes. The worgen growled in fury as the blood dripped into his sight. He flailed his claws at Tol’vas, and Tol’vas was able to deflect the attack aside. Alpha Prime leaped on Tol’vas and tried to gore him.

Alpha Prime says: I don’t need eyes to rip out your throat!

Tol’vas was able to shove Alpha Prime off as the attacks all missed. Valorinn took the opportunity to claw at Alpha Prime again. Alpha Prime wiped the blood from his eyes and launched at Tol’vas with a snarl. He tried to sweep Tol’vas’s leg, but there was the roar of the bear as the spirit of Tol’vas bear totem infused Tol’vas and allowed him to push Alpha Prime back.

Valorinn flew forward and grabbed Alpha Prime by the throat, but Alpha Prime shoved him off, now bleeding profusely.

Alpha Prime says: I. Will. Not. FALL TO YOU!

Valorinn howled and a storm whipped around him as he slammed into Alpha Prime and gave Tol’vas an opening to cleave Alpha Prime from hip to shoulder with the scythe of Elune. There was a moment as the blood and magic dripped to the scaffolding. He coughed up blood as he pulled a claw away from his chest, soaked in blood.

Alpha Prime says: It wasn’t supposed to be like this… this was supposed to make me… make all of us… strong.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You forgot what strength is. Restraint is an important part of strength.
Alpha Prime says: I have moved well beyond Her sight… but by Elune I hope you’re right, Tol’vas. Because if you’re not… then this world will burn.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: If it burns, it won’t be from doing the right thing.
Alpha Prime says: We thought we were doing the right thing.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: And we were wrong.
Alpha Prime says: I… I’m not convinced… but… I don’t think that matters anymore.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Okay. You can rest now.
Alpha Prime says: It’s funny… I rested for so long. But that… that doesn’t sound so bad.

Alpha Prime looked skyward, and the last life faded from his eyes, and he went limp. Tol’vas gathered himself up and stared down at Ralaar Fangfire. He felt the power of his brethren fade. He looked up, and he watched as the moonlight that coursed around him started to leave him. Motes of light danced from his body and spiraled into the night sky and filled the air around the city with dozens of witchlights. The clouds started to open, and a gentle rain started to fall on Gilneas.

Tol’vas watched the witchlights, as did Vel as she swooped through the sky. A smile came to Tol’vas’s face, and the magic that was giving him his strength left completely. As the pain of his myriad wounds began to overwhelm him, it didn’t hurt. It sent his mind backwards, and Tol’vas collapsed.

Valorinn shouts: Tol’vas! TOL’VAS!

Valorinn howled, looking for help, and Vel promptly landed and shifted into her elven form. She began to channel the magic of [Dimension Door] to get them both back down to the ground, and Vel observed he had a scar like Alpha Prime’s beneath his eye, and he had long, ibex-like horns shooting from his temples.

The magic connected, and she and Tol’vas’s body disappeared as she carried them both to the ground. Valorinn leaped into the sky to pursue her, and Seria pulled diamonds from her pouch and hurried over to help. A crowd had gathered, including Qiana.

Qiana Moonshadow says: Tol’vas!

She looked at Seria.

Qiana Moonshadow says: Can you help him?!

Seria didn’t say anything, but she started to incantate the magic for [Revivify]. As the magic finished, she raised her hand and smacked Tol’vas across the face.

In Tol’vas’s mind, he had found himself in a familiar meadow. He felt a familiar warmth.

Echo of Goldrinn says: You planning on sleeping the whole night away?

Tol’vas opened his eyes and saw the eyes of a familiar ancient looking down at him, his white fur shining in the moonlight.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I figured I’d just nap.
Echo of Goldrinn says: I could have gotten up. You would have gone flying. It would have been entertaining. But I was feeling kind.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I could have been grateful without you threatening me.
Echo of Goldrinn says: If I was threatening you, you’d know it. What do you think you’re doing here?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Did I die?

The wolf shrugged his shoulders.

Echo of Goldrinn says: Beats me. I’m not even really here.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: No… you were… your soul… that’s too much thinking.
Echo of Goldrinn says: You never were good at that. I'm just what you remember of me. And I’m only here because I need to be, for some reason.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I need to get back. I have so much more I need to do.
Echo of Goldrinn says: I’m surprised. I thought you wanted to stay here. Like the old days. But you do need to get up. You can’t just sleep the night away.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You’re right.

Tol’vas got to his feet.

Echo of Goldrinn says: This doesn’t mean much. But… good work, Tol’vas.

Tol’vas grinned.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Means more than you think.
Echo of Goldrinn says: That’s what matters. Guess I’ll be seeing you on the other side. One way or another.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You’re always kind of with me.

The massive wolf got to his feet as well, and he started to walk in the opposite direction. Tol’vas could hear other voices, from the sky. Then, suddenly, he winced as a raw smack crossed his face.

Seria says: Wake up!

The magic surged through Tol’vas, and Tol’vas breathed again. He opened his eyes, and he was staring up at Seria, and Qiana, and beyond them, he saw everyone else.

Tol’vas reached up and touched his cheek.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: That… wasn’t part of the spell.

He also felt the same scars under his eye that Alpha Prime had. He tried to prop himself up, but his arm buckled, as it was very broken.

Velameestra Windrunner says: You shouldn’t move.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I don’t think I can.
Liiraluma says: Glad you’re less fucked up. How are you feeling?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Awful.
Liiraluma says: About right.
Uther Menethil says: Feels strange, doesn’t it?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: That’s a word.

Qiana buried her face into Tol’vas chest, which caused him immense pain. She immediately recoiled.

Qiana Moonshadow says: Sorry, that was such a bad idea. I’m just so glad you’re okay.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I’m glad you’re okay.
Qiana Moonshadow says: Honestly, you might be better than okay…

She gestured toward his head with a nod, and Tol’vas reached up with his good hand to touch the horns.

Qiana Moonshadow says: You did good kid.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Oh. Okay. That’s… new. I… I’m very tired.
Qiana Moonshadow says: Lets get you to the other druids. They can start healing you. I’m going to pick you up. Don’t tense.

Qiana gently picked Tol’vas up.

Valorinn says: I’m going with you.
Qiana Moonshadow says: Of course. I would never tell you otherwise.

Qiana looked up at the tower.

Qiana Moonshadow says: We can see about retrieving Alpha Prime’s body as well.

Tol’vas recalled, in that moment, that Alpha Prime hadn’t reverted to his elven form when he died, which was not how that was supposed to work. A series of mournful howls echoed through the air, and some of those loyal to Alpha Prime started to flee. Others surrendered.

Either way, the battle for Gilneas City was over. Liam turned toward the forces that had gathered and raised his rifle into the air.

Liam Greymane says: The day is ours!

A cheer echoed across the entire city, and Liam smiled broadly as the rain drenched his hair. For the first time in two decades, Gilneas was theirs again.

The next several hours, or even days, were a blur to Tol’vas. Qiana had carried him through the city.

Qiana Moonshadow says: You know, this kind of reminds me of when you were young. When you and Shandris would get into trouble. You’d fall, scrape your knee, and ask me to heal it.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Glad I could give you practice to be a healer.
Qiana Moonshadow says: If I was a better one, you’d probably be in less pain right now. But we’ll take care of you. And I’m really proud of you, Tol’vas. You did something I don’t think any of us could have imagined was possible.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I had a lot of help.
Qiana Moonshadow says: Yeah, well, that’s how packs work, right?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Exactly.

Tol’vas was taken to the outskirts of the city, and he had started to fade quickly. He was brought into the druid grove they had created, and he saw Belysra standing at the edge of the grove. There was a wolf made of radiant starlight staring at her from a nearby rock. He couldn’t hear what they said, but he could see her step toward the wolf. Then the wolf was the spectral figure of Arvell, and the two of them embraced. When Tol’vas blinked, his figure was gone, and Belysra was holding her own shoulders. A wisp circled her, and rested against her forehead, then disappeared. Belysra looked over at Tol’vas, tears streaming down her face, and mouthed “it’s over, thank you.”

The rest of the day was spent finding the dead, healing the injured, and rounding up the remaining members of the Wolf Cult that could be found. Genn, Liam, and Darius were instrumental in the process, and the remainder of the party was working to aid where they could.

Uther searched for survivors and tended to the wounded, as did Seria, who also helped remove the worgen curse from those that were recently bitten. Luma maintained their turrets to help maintain a safe zone. Vel mentally called her undead back to her and also took control of the rogue bats as she worked to help round up Wolf Cult members and prevent further casualties. Before she left, she barked at Uther to have Seria fix the worgen bite he had received.

Vincent Godfrey, however, was one of the people not accounted for. Uther and Vel broke off to locate him. One of the bats informed Vel they had found someone that matched the description. The bat led the duo to a battle scene where there were three more Starlight Slasher murderers, all dead on the ground.

The bats led them to an alleyway. There were more worgen, but on the far end, slumped in the wreckage, was Vincent Godfrey. He was still breathing, his eyes just barely open. His monocle was shattered on the ground, and his pistols cast aside. One of the grenades was dispersed and empty at his feet. Unconscious nearby was a Gilnean, his clothing torn to shreds, but recently transformed. Godfrey’s clothing was tattered, and he had several grievous mortal injuries.

He instinctively reached for one of his guns, but then his hand went limp.

Vincent Godfrey says: Guess I won’t be needing that. For a moment, I thought you were another one, come to finish me off, though I’m not certain how much work they need to do.

Uther rushed over and began to channel his healing magic. However, none of the wounds closed.

Vincent Godfrey says: Save your blessings, boy, there are people that need them more than this old man.

He was well beyond normal healing magic. He was past death’s door.

Uther Menethil says: I’m not certain if you’ve heard, Lord Godfrey, but we won. Gilneas belongs to the Gilneans again.
Vincent Godfrey says: I heard cheering. And howling. I could have only hoped. So that son of a bitch actually did it.

He laughed weakly.

Vincent Godfrey says: It’s a good thing I’m not a betting man. You were right, Velameestra. It wasn’t my time to die, back then. But I’m glad to… I’m glad I got to see her free.
Velameestra Windrunner says: And play a part in her freedom.
Vincent Godfrey says: I went more than twenty years without letting one of them get me.

There were obvious bite marks on his arm.

Vincent Godfrey says: But one of them finally caught up to me. Make sure… he gets back. I don’t know if that contraption worked, but…
Uther Menethil says: Of course.

Vel noticed that Godfrey had been brought into an inch of his life fending off the Slashers, but then a feral worgen found him. But instead of killing the worgen, he had let it bite him, so he could use an ECG.

Velameestra Windrunner says: We’ll take care of him. You can rest easy now, Lord Godfrey.
Vincent Godfrey says: Not yet, girl. Velameestra. Come here.

Vel approached and Godfrey pulled something out of his pocket, which he placed into her hand. She looked at it, and found a key.

Vincent Godfrey says: I lost anything resembling an heir over the last few decades. This should open the vault… I can’t imagine all of it is there after the looting that took place, but what’s there is yours. Use it, both of you. Let it be the silver bullet that helps you take out that bastard, since I can’t do it myself.

Vel closed her hand around the key.

Velameestra Windrunner says: You’ll see that victory even if it's from the other side.
Vincent Godfrey says: I don’t know what comes next. But I hope you’re right, girl. I hope you’re right.

The last light faded from Godfrey’s eyes as he took his last breath. Vel placed a hand on Uther’s shoulder and gave a gentle squeeze as he blinked tears away from the eyes.

Velameestra Windrunner says: We should get them back.

Uther nodded and got to his feet.

Uther Menethil says: You know… part of me wishes… that perhaps he chose to help that man. In favor of killing him.
Velameestra Windrunner says: He did.

Uther smiled faintly as he bent down to lift the men onto his shoulders.

The duo headed back to the others with the unconscious Gilnean and Godfrey’s body. It was a very long day, and there was far more to do than could be accomplished in a single day. But regrouping and rebuilding began.

A massive crowd gathered in the cathedral square, where Genn Greymane and many of the other leaders were giving an address.

Genn Greymane says: Citizens of Gilneas, and friends from distant lands. We have won. But our victory has come at a great cost. Many of the ones who mattered to you in your life, family, friends, are not here to celebrate. And they never will be. And I owe you an apology for my part in depriving them of the chance to see the brighter tomorrow you have created. I say you for it was not I. Until not long ago, I was an architect of our suffering. As were many of you. As are many more that have yet to awaken or realize… or overcome the beast. I have not been a good king. And no I do not just mean in the last decades. For before that, I was responsible for bringing this curse to our very homes. I was responsible for building a wall that cut off our own countrymen, and divided our families. I do not regret doing so. For had I not, perhaps this curse would have spread further. Already did it find its way beyond our walls, but… here at least it became our curse. All of ours. But I hid that knowledge from all of you, and in doing so I nearly damned us all. I have come here to celebrate with all of you, and also to mourn, but also to face justice for what I have done. For my part in this terrible tale. I will not be given special treatment for the reason that played out of my command. Nay, I will face judgment for my crimes, for my sins against each and every one of you, and against those who are not here. My son, Liam, has done far a greater job leading you in these past years than I could have ever done. And so I offer myself to the king’s justice. The true king’s justice.

Liam stepped forward.

Liam Greymane says: My good people of Gilneas. Before you stands one of your countrymen. One, who as he says, has brought darkness to our lands. But so too is he one that dreams of a brighter tomorrow. But many of you may never see that, not without your loved ones at your sides. Some of you have never known a brighter Gilneas. And that is because of this man. And so I would lead his face in your hands. For it is you who he has wronged. You whom he should, as the former king of Gilneas, answer to. Not I. I do not believe it wise for his fate to be decided by me. I am a biased party. But you are my people, and the people I can trust. The people who helped retake our home. So please, help me, so that I may deliver your justice.

The crowd started to murmur amongst themselves. Some called for Genn to be hanged, as he was beyond forgiveness, and it was the least he could do after orchestrating the deaths of his countrymen. Others called for his exile. But others still asked for his mercy, so that he could be given the chance to rebuild a brighter tomorrow.

Darius Crowley was the one that finally stepped forward.

Darius Crowley says: I’d like to say something! I understand a lot of your rage. This bastard is responsible for the death of plenty of my friends, my people, and my family. I understand a lot of your blokes are asking for blood, but there’s been enough spilled. That old bat doesn’t get to add himself to that pile. I say we force him to fix those mistakes. But I respect what the people say as a collective.

Ashbury then stepped forward.

Benedict Ashbury says: We cannot simply forget all the good that Master Greymane did for us. Yes, he is responsible for no end of troubles, and I fully agree he should not be given full pardon, but he was our king. A man who was beloved to us. Surely that is worth something.

Another man then stepped forward. It was the man that Uther and Vel had found next to Godfrey.

Young Gilnean Man says: We have been given another chance. It’s only right that he should too.

More and more voices were added, and eventually the overwhelming vocal groups swung towards mercy.

Liam Greymane says: Alright. All in favor of him to be hanged for treason?

Some hands went up.

Liam Greymane says: All in favor of exile?

More hands raised.

Liam Greymane says: All in favor of him being given the chance to rebuild?

The majority raised their hands.

Liam Greymane says: The ayes have it. Genn Greymane. Father. You will be spared. But you will be expected to help us. Help Gilneas and her children. If we seek to turn this curse into our strength, we will need men like you to help us every step of the way.

Genn looked genuinely humbled and surprised.

Genn Greymane says: Your Majesty, I accept the mercy of Gilneas. I would simply refute one thing, and one thing only. You say that you need my help to turn this curse into our strength…

He shook his head, and he held up a hand. His body started to shift into his worgen form.

Genn Greymane says: We have turned this curse into our strength! You do not need me to make that dream a reality! But I swear until my dying breath to serve each and every one of you, to strengthen our bonds, to strengthen Gilneas, and rebuild her brick by brick! So thank you all for your mercy, and I will not take it in vain, or for granted. For Gilneas!

The crowd raised in a cacophony of cheers.

September 24th - September 25th

The next day, the group discussed their next steps, and the fact that the well-known faces would likely need disguises going forward.

Elissa’s eyes go wide.

Elissa Cross says: Wait here! I think I have the perfect person to help! She’s a friend I met. She’s super nice! One of the most stylish people I know! I’ll go get her.
Uther Menethil says: Alright!
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Who do you think it is?
Velameestra Windrunner says: I don’t know everyone here.

Before long, Elissa returned with a worgen girl. She was short with torn up clothing and wild, heavily dyed hair that faded into a bright pink.

Punk Worgen says: Elissa! Slow down! I can walk by myself!

She fixed her hair as she came to a stop next to the group.

Punk Worgen says: Hey. You guys are the ones that saved everyone, right?
Velameestra Windrunner says: That’s us.
Punk Worgen says: Elissa drug me over here. I don’t know what’s going on.
Elissa Cross says: They need to dye their hair and stuff! I thought you could help seeing your hair is so cool!
Punk Worgen says: I mean… yeah, I can help, I guess…

Her eyes kept flitting over to Vel. Vel had seen her around, as she was a woman that was rather hard to miss, but she had never spoken to her directly.

Velameestra Windrunner says: We welcome your expertise on the matter.
Punk Worgen says: Yeah… it’s nothing really. You’re, uh, you’re… are you really a vampyr?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Yes. I am.
Punk Worgen says: I heard when they told everyone else in the grove… that’s pretty cool.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Well thank you.
Punk Worgen says: Well… my name is Halveria. Halveria Darkraven.

Vel knew enough about the culture of Gilneas to know that her surname was certainly not a Gilnean name. And she was clearly a human worgen.

Halveria Darkraven says: I can definitely do something with your hair…. What were you looking to do with it?
Uther Menethil says: Well. I know I didn’t have a beard before, so that can stay. Perhaps black hair?
Halveria Darkraven says: Yeah that’s a pretty good choice. You’re a prince, right? Heh. I’ve never talked to a prince before… um. Yeah! That would look really good I think! Yeah, totally.
Uther Menethil says: Excellent!
Halveria Darkraven says: I have a few ideas. We can definitely do something with that. What about you?

She looked over at Vel.

Velameestra Windrunner says: Velameestra.
Halveria Darkraven says: Oh. Velameestra. That’s a cool name.
Velameestra Windrunner says: You can call me Vel.
Halveria Darkraven says: Oh. Really? Wow. That’s… well, you can call me… Halveria. I guess I don’t really have a short name. But if I had one I’d let you call me it too. You know. Just because you’re… pretty cool. Did you have something in mind for your hair?

Vel smiled faintly.

Velameestra Windrunner says: I thought about just changing up the color.
Halveria Darkraven says: What about red or something? Like blood? That would be pretty cool. Like some lowlights or something?
Velameestra Windrunner says: That would work.
Halveria Darkraven says: That would be cool.

She started to reach out to touch Vel’s hair, but then stopped herself and pointed instead.

Halveria Darkraven says: Like at the ends. That would be cool.
Velameestra Windrunner says: I’m going to trust your expertise.
Halveria Darkraven says: Wow. Cool. Where do you want to do it? Actually what are you guys doing after this, because you’re going to probably go and save the world again, aren’t you?

Uther laughed.

Uther Menethil says: Something like that, yes!
Velameestra Windrunner says: I… suppose we can see if Moroes has outfits or something at Karazhan…
Halveria Darkraven says: Oh. You have like a super secret base or something? That’s pretty cool. I guess we can do it here before you leave if you want… I don’t really… have anywhere where I’d be able to cut it, and I don’t really have a lot going on…
Velameestra Windrunner says: Did… you want to come to Karazhan?
Halveria Darkraven says: I mean, if you want me to! You don’t have to or anything, it’s no big deal. But if you want, I can come along. I’m not doing anything. And if you want me too. I mean, you guys are pretty cool and this is pretty cool… so.
Velameestra Windrunner says: If you would like to come, I think that can be arranged.
Halveria Darkraven says: I really would!- I mean. Yeah. That would be pretty cool.
Uther Menethil says: So you’ll be joining us then? Then as acting captain, allow me to welcome you to the Death Adders!
Halveria Darkraven says: What’s… what’s the Death Adders?
Velameestra Windrunner says: I believe that may be… is that our mercenary group name? Is that what we’re going with?

Uther stopped and just looked at Vel, mouth agape, as if she had just said the most brilliant thing in the world.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I think you just gave him the idea.
Halveria Darkraven says: That’s pretty rad. That’s a cool name. I’d be cool with that. Do you guys have patches or something?
Liiraluma says: I can make them.
Elissa Cross says: Oh! I can design a logo!
Halveria Darkraven says: Yeah. You’d probably be pretty good at that.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Then I suppose that’s the plan.
Halveria Darkraven says: I’ll pack my things! I mean… when I get around to it.
Velameestra Windrunner says: If you need any extra room, I can put things in my portable hole.
Halveria Darkraven says: I don’t have too much. Just my guitar.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Oh you play?
Halveria Darkraven says: A little bit.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Ah, my brother does as well.
Halveria Darkraven says: Oh cool. Maybe we could rock together. Is he with you guys too?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Not currently.
Halveria Darkraven says: Maybe later then.

Halveria went off to get her things. When she returned, she was in her human form, and she was substantially smaller. She looked to be about the same age as Elissa, and she was actually shorter than Elissa was.

Halveria Darkraven says: It’s easier to cut hair without claws… I’m still practicing that. I don’t want to hurt anyone, but I guess I probably couldn’t, you’re all heroes.

She also had a few magical tricks at her disposal, as it was revealed she was actually a hedge mage.

The plot of land that remained of Godfrey’s land was set aside to create a public school and a small park in Godfrey’s honor, as it was decided that was most in the spirit of what he fought for. Uther and Vel went to retrieve the treasury. It was shifted into Vel’s demiplane, and the account was closed.

Tol’vas got Elissa, Vel, and Luma’s assistance to help design a grove for his new circle. Nandos was among those that had returned to Tal’doren.

Nandos says: Tol’vas. Things have been going well. The last of the Gilneans are gone. We’ve been getting everything situated and helping with the Ritual of Balance…

He had taken his night elf form for the first time in a long time.

Nandos says: We’re ready to start turning this place into our new home. I presume that’s what you’re all here for. Before we get started I feel I owe all of you an apology. I did try to kill you earlier.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Nothing stuck.
Nandos says: I suppose that’s fair. My name is Nandos. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Not on a battlefield.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Velameestra.

Vel offered her hand and there was a moment of confusion as Nandos was not sure what to do with it. It also became clear that Vel was not keen on touching either, though the handshake was polite, and they decided to just bow to each other instead in a typical night elf greeting.

Together they worked to create the baseline of the druid grove, including a meditation chamber beneath Tal’doren, an open-air place to speak, and meet, and lecture, and a statue of Elune and Goldrinn. Vel also suggested windchimes that served as a means for wisps to alert the druids of their presence.

Vel used [Major Image] to help mock up some ideas and some of Luma’s structural suggestions.

A funeral service was held for Vincent Godfrey. The man that Godfrey had saved was present. He looked to be around Vel’s age. There were also other nobility, Liam, and even Darius Crowley.

Several people speak on his behalf, including Uther.

Uther Menethil says: The walls around Gilneas were erected before I was born, and I only arrived a short while ago. But in that short time, I feel like I was able to obtain an understanding of Vincent Godfrey. He was a patriot. A man of iron conviction. Wit sharper than any sword. His contribution to the survival of Gilneas cannot be overstated. For all his words that the worgen were a threat, at the end, he had the choice to slay his assailant, or take a mortal wound to give that man a chance to become who they once were. The world is a weaker place without Vincent Godfrey in it. But by looking to his example, and remembering the man he was, I believe that those who survive him will make it even stronger. He lived and died without regrets. We should all be so lucky. Walk with the Light, Lord Godfrey.

Eventually, the ceremony proceeds, and they were all given the chance the offer a final word to Godfrey as he was interred. They were each given a single silver coin that they could drop into the grave with the last words.

Luma dropped their coin in and spoke in draenic.

Liiraluma says [draenic]: You were kind of a fuck.

Vel approached and spoke in quietish, the language of the dead.

Velameestra Windrunner says [quietish]: Find guidance and peace beyond the veil.

Uther spoke out loud as he dropped the coin.

Uther Menethil says: We’ll take it from here.

Tol’vas, meanwhile, was helping with the burials of the kaldorei worgen. All of them were buried beneath plantlife, and their names were marked on the stone. Where Ralaar Fangfire was buried, Tol’vas planted the dryad seed.

Vel had spoken with the royal family and they did decide to take the opportunity to have a final goodbye with their daughter. Lorelei and Lorna were also there. She opened her spellbook and chanted the incantation of [Commune with Dead].

Velameestra Windrunner says: Testament Greymane… if you can hear me. Follow my voice beyond the veil… your family would like to speak with you.

Genn had his arms around Mia, and Lorelei and Lorna were sitting together with Liam, Lorelei’s hands on both of her parents.

The magic danced across Tess's face on the portrait, and it drew a translucent figure forth. She was a young girl. The spitting image of Lorelei if she was nine or ten years old.

Testament Greymane says: Is that you Lorelei? It’s about time! I’ve been counting for so long. Where have you been?
Lorelei Crowley says: Tess…?
Testament Greymane says: Of course silly. Don’t you recognize me? I thought we were friends. You look different. You… all look different.

Mia’s hand went to her mouth, tears streaming down her face.

Mia Greymane says: My sweet little flowerbloom… it’s been…
Testament Greymane says: What’s wrong mother? I know it’s been a bit, but why are you crying?
Mia Greymane says: My dear… you don’t know, do you?
Testament Greymane says: You’re acting very strange, mother. I don’t know what?
Liam Greymane says: I don’t think she knows… all this time…
Genn Greymane says: My sweet peacebloom. I’m so sorry. I should have never sent you and your mother away. I should have kept you by my side. Maybe I could have protected you. Maybe I wouldn’t have lost myself. My… I don’t know what to say.
Lorelei Crowley says: Tess. I’m so sorry. I got busy and I couldn’t find you. But I won’t let that happen again. Can we start over? The game?
Testament Greymane says: Of course, Lorelei! It’s alright. You’re all crying. Is everything alright? You all look like you’ve seen a ghost… We can start again! Did you get scared of the dark? I know you’re not a big fan of thunder. You can hold my hand if you like. I can be brave enough for both of us.

Lorelei looked down and shook her head.

Lorelei Crowley says: I’ve gotten pretty brave, you know. I had to. You know how I did it?
Testament Greymane says: How’d you do it?
Lorelei Crowley says: I just acted like you. Tess… I’m ready to start again. If you are.
Testament Greymane says: It’s been an awful long time. Is that alright, mother?

Mia, choking back tears, nodded.

Mia Greymane says: Of course dear. Just make sure you’re back before dinner.
Testament Greymane says: Of course mother.

Lorelei reached out and tapped the image of Tess on the nose.

Lorelei Crowley says: Tag. You’re it.

Tess giggled.

Testament Greymane says: I’m going to go hide now!

She turned away and vanished into the painting. Mia started to sob, and Genn was holding back his tears with all his might.

Genn Greymane says: There there.

Liam was stone-faced, trying to be strong, but even Lorna was tearing up.

Lorelei Crowley says: We have to go and find her. There has to be a way to bring her back.
Genn Greymane says: Lorelei… she’s…
Lorelei Crowley says: I don’t care. I’m not letting her go. I’m not letting her be lost in a game that I ended. I’m going to give her a chance! There has to be a way!
Velameestra Windrunner says: Priests. Powerful priests. They have the means to resurrect the dead. I… know someone. Remnii can. I can ask, once we get in contact with her again.
Lorelei Crowley says: Anything I can do to bring her back. I will do anything! If you need me, I will trade myself-
Velameestra Windrunner says: It’s not that dire. It’s not blood rites.

Lorna squeezed Lorelei’s hand.

Lorna Crowley says: I just got you back, dear. The last thing I’m going to do is let you trade your life for someone else. This ritual, what would it require?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Diamonds. They serve as a catalyst that helps focus the magic.
Lorelei Crowley says: I know where we buried her… I see the place in my dreams, I can take us there!
Liam Greymane says: Lorelei, now is not the time for that. Gilneas is… we have rebuilding to do. The world beyond our borders is in chaos.
Velameestra Windrunner says: There is also time. The effectiveness of such a ritual lasts for a while.
Liam Greymane says: If this is possible. If we can bring my sister back, we will ensure the world is safe for her to return to.

Liam turned Lorelei toward him.

Liam Greymane says: I promise you, we will do what we can. We will bring her back. We just need to be patient. Alright?

Lorelei nodded.

Lorelei Crowley says: When she returns, we’ll give her the life she deserved. All of us.

Lorna stood up and hugged Lorelei and rested her head on her back.

Lorna Crowley says: Together. You won’t do this alone.
Liam Greymane says: I never would have even thought of it. What are you waiting for?

He looked over at his parents.

Liam Greymane says: Get over here.

Mia collapsed into the group, and Genn drew in and embraced them as well. He hesitantly gave Lorna a berth, but Lorna elbowed him and told him to just hug fully. Genn relented, and he gave Vel a small nod before focusing on his family, as she gathered up her spellbook and then left.

The group started to prepare to leave for Karazhan and were saying their final goodbyes. Liam met with the group.

Liam Greymane says: The road calls again.
Velameestra Windrunner says: There’s still ample to do.
Uther Menethil says: Aye. No shortage of work outside the walls.
Liam Greymane says: And in them. There is much I would say, but if I said it all, we would be here until Daval Prestor claimed everything. Thank you. All of you. I can’t even fathom how grateful I am. There are people in the streets and they are not afraid. Our nation has a fighting chance because of all of you. I will not let this be forgotten. And I know that none of us here are in any state to make this decision, but when the time comes, I will make sure Gilneas rides at your side when justice is to be brought to Daval Prestor. I don’t care if he’s a dragon. What he is doing is unforgivable. And luckily I believe the nobles here will be more than happy to oblige such justice. One way or another, Gilneas will be at your side. We may need to work on some things, but I’ll ensure we are as ready as we can be. When the dust settles, I would hope I could begin talks with the rest of the Alliance. It is beyond time we opened our borders again, and that we rejoined the rest of the world. I hope that the others will agree.
Uther Menethil says: Very glad to hear it.
Liam Greymane says: The wall may remain for a time. Breaking it down will simply take a great deal of effort. But I believe those stones are better used elsewhere. Who knows, maybe one of our new friends in the Blackwald will have a trick to make the process faster. But go forth, and I wish you the best of luck. May the light, the spirits, or lady luck, or whatever else, be on your side in your future endeavors, and I hope you can restore orders to your own homes with as little bloodshed as we managed.

Genn nods.

Genn Greymane says: I won’t bother repeating what my son said. You know I’m grateful, and my thanks is no more than that of another GIlnean, but you have it. I am looking forward to tearing out Prestor’s throat. I always knew he was no good. No one listened, but no one ever does.

Liam shot Genn a glance.

Genn Greymane says: Regardless, what I’m trying to say, is if only one Gilnean rides with you, it’ll be me. And… I’m going to say this once, and I’m going to do it here and now, but… Arthas.

Arthas’s eyes rolled.

Arthas Menethil says: What?
Genn Greymane says: I told you so. I know you don’t remember, but I reserve the right nonetheless. Now go on and get your kingdom back.
Arthas Menethil says: Yeah. That’s the plan.

Lorna laughed as she spoke up.

Lorna Crowley says: Good huntin’, everyone. And good work. On everything. And thanks for looking out for her when I wasn’t.
Velameestra Windrunner says: That is what friends are for.

They heard laughing behind them with Lorelei demanding she be let down. They looked behind and saw Darius Crowley carrying Lorelei over a shoulder.

Darius Crowley says: Not a chance, lassie, I lost your little years so I’m getting them in now!

He let her down as they fully approached.

Darius Crowley says: Glad I didn’t miss you. I can’t speak for his Majesty, but if only one Gilnean rides with you, it’s going to be me!

Genn crossed his arms.

Genn Greymane says: I’m going to tell him.
Mia Greymane says: Don’t you dare.

Darius clapped Uther on the back.

Darius Crowley says: You did good work. I’m going to make sure we return the favor. Tenfold! And I think it’s safe to say that his majesty agrees with me. We just need to make sure the rest of the nobles understand.

Darius cracked his knuckles.

Liam Greymane says: And we’ll do it with words.
Darius Crowley says: Of course we’ll do it with words, your Majesty! There is one bloke I’m going to focus on. Ivar Bloodfang. He’s out beyond the walls. I’m going to reach out to him and see what’s going on. He didn’t march to Alpha Prime’s tune. He started his own pack. Now that he knows what’s going on, I’ll see if I can get him on our side. Times have been changing, and I’d like to get the brotherhood back together. If we can get Ivar on our side, we’ll have quite the surprise, let me tell you!
Uther Menethil says: Glad to hear it.

Mia took Uther’s hands.

Mia Greymane says: I want to thank you for everything your family has done, and I intend on thanking Jaina as well. You are such a good son! And such a good man! And I just know she’d be so proud. So since she’s not here to do this!

She kissed Uther’s cheek.

Mia Greymane says: I’ll take care of it! Eat. Stay healthy. Make sure you eat your vegetables, or I’ll tell your mother. Because clearly your father won’t.
Arthas Menethil says: What did I do?
Mia Greymane says: Thank you for helping me fix my family. I know I don’t have many years left on this earth, but if I’m able to spend them with them, that’s all I could ask for.

Uther was unable to stoneface through the interaction and he started crying a bit.

Uther Menethil says: I will.

Mia hugged him.

Mia Greymane says: I know you didn’t meet your grandmother much, but if you ever need a seasoned view on anything, know you’re welcome here. As for the rest of you!

She released Uther and looked to the rest of the group.

Mia Greymane says: You are such wonderful people. I know I will rest easy knowing that my granddaughter, and perhaps my daughter one day, and my son, can grow up with such wonderful folk at their backs. And perhaps not so young folk.
Liiraluma says: It's fine. I appreciate it nonetheless.

She then approached Vel and took her hands.

Mia Greymane says: Take care of yourself, dear. I know what type of person you are. You don’t need to carry all these burdens yourself. It’s okay to ask for help.
Velameestra Windrunner says: …alright.

Mia lowered her voice slightly.

Mia Greymane says: And if you ever need to talk, about anything, know that you can talk to me. My lips are sealed.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Thank you.
Mia Greymane says: I should be thanking you, dear.

She gave Vel’s hands a squeeze and then looked over to Seria and asked if she was one for hugs. Seria said she wasn’t, and Mia asked her to take her thanks instead. She then looked at Luma. Who was much taller than her.

Mia Greymane says: You know, you’re very unlike Remnii. And I think that’s a very good thing.

Luma smiled and squinted.

Liiraluma says: I don’t like that you know what to say.

But they opened their arms for a hug, and Mia happily approached with a laugh.

Mia Greymane says: If Remnii was here, we may not have rescued as many people as we did. Not in the same fashion, at least. You are… you remind me of a comet I think.
Liiraluma says: Ah.
Mia Greymane says: You streak through the sky, grand wishes, and inspire them to great lengths of their own. I would not be surprised if there were some novels featuring a character like yourself in the future.

Luma laughed.

Liiraluma says: I almost was one of those once! Ever see the Violet Star? This was a piece! I guess I carry it with me always.

Mia nodded.

Mia Greymane says: I hope you continue to.
Liiraluma says: I don’t have much of a choice if I want two hands! But thank you for your kind words. Seems you have a bevy of them. Much like Remnii.
Mia Greymane says: I mean. I did marry my way into the royal family. One doesn’t become a queen consort for decades without knowing what to say.
Liiraluma says: I like it!

Mia winked and then went to Tol’vas.

Mia Greymane says: I know you’re not leaving.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I’ll be around.
Mia Greymane says: But I’m glad our new neighbors are so trustworthy. I’m in a huggy mood, if you don’t mind.

They also hug.

Mia Greymane says: Safe journeys, everyone, until I see you again!

Everyone waved the group off and bid them farewell for the time being. Tol’vas walked with the party for a short bit, and he handed Vel several vials of the blessed moonwell water.

Velameestra Windrunner says: I… was going to ask for those. You saved me the trouble.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Sometimes I have good ideas.
Velameestra Windrunner says: You have given me a smattering.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I just figured you could use them.
Velameestra Windrunner says: There are other worgen about. I imagine the further this spreads, the better.

Tol’vas nodded.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: But they’re not only for worgen.
Velameestra Windrunner says: …a non-zero percentage of my cohorts would burn if they touched this.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Okay. I didn’t say throw them at every undead you see!
Velameestra Windrunner says: I appreciate the gesture, Tol’vas. And if someone needs it, I’ll be sure to give it to them.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Good luck on your journey. All of you.
Velameestra Windrunner says: It was good to know you.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: It was surprisingly good to know you as well.

Vel smirked.

Velameestra Windrunner says: For a practitioner of the arcane.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: For a lot of things really!
Uther Menethil says: And it’ll be good to continue knowing you! After all, we’re neighbors now! Or at least we will be.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Yeah, your country isn’t far is it?
Uther Menethil says: Closest I’ve been for nearly a year.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Going back is strange after any length of time.
Uther Menethil says: I suppose it’s not 10,000 years?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I did sleep through most of it. I don’t imagine that counts. But imagine waking up one day and realizing that much time passed.
Velameestra Windrunner says: That sounds terrible. I will not.

Tol’vas laughed.

Uther Menethil says: I’ll miss you until our paths cross.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You know where to find me.
Uther Menethil says: Very true!
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I wish I could see the rest of this through, but there’s so much that needs to be done.
Uther Menethil says: At the very least, I’ll save you some of the Legion.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Oh. No. You can take care of all of that.

Uther laughed as Elissa stepped forward, wringing her hands.

Elissa Cross says: I’ll miss you, Tol’vas.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: It was good getting to know you. I’m glad I was able to show you pieces of yourself? Your past–

Elissa darted forward and hugged Tol’vas.

Elissa Cross says: I owe you so much. Take care of yourself, okay?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You’re marching into… several wars?
Elissa Cross says: I know. I just… I just want you to be safe too, okay?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: I’ll be safe if you promise to be safe.
Elissa Cross says: That’s a deal I can make!

Elissa beamed up at him, and Arthas regarded Tol’vas with a furrowed brow, and just nodded. Tol’vas nodded back.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Seria, I know we didn’t get to know each other well because we don’t talk because of who we are as people. But I continue to be impressed by the magic you’re mastering.

Seria blinked, caught off-guard.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: And actually… I have something for you.

He handed over the seed-spore quarterstaff that had been made on Kalimdor.

Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Maybe you’ll find someone that can use it better than us.
Seria says: …I don’t know what to say. I’ll see you around.
Liiraluma says: I’ve pretty much known you for like… a few weeks. I didn’t need to be last. But good luck with everything. It’s big building, I know. We’re building from literal nothing. So I’m going to thank you on Remnii’s behalf.

She started facetiously imitating Remnii’s crying, and Elissa started to cry again from Luma’s fake crying. Luma patted her head.

Liiraluma says: But thank you for helping us, and if you need a hand, I have at least four.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Useful amount of hands!
Liiraluma says: Lose one, get three! Good luck.
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: You are being credited with the architectural foundations. Your name is there.
Liiraluma says: Good!

Tol’vas stepped into a tree and disappeared.

Uther Menethil says: Wow. Right into a tree. I suppose if I could travel like that, I wouldn’t do anything different.
Velameestra Windrunner says: You… literally have.
Uther Menethil says: Well, right, but I can’t do it.
Velameestra Windrunner says: …If you had kept up on your studies, you could.
Uther Menethil says: I hardly think this is the time!
Liiraluma says: Oh, it’s always the time, tell me more!
Uther Menethil says: You can scold me for neglecting my studies when we get back to Karazhan!

Celestine thanked Vel for showing her a side of magic she had never explored before, and she and the other harvest witches agreed they look forward to seeing what the Cenarion Circle teachings can show, though they weren’t going to join formally, as they valued their freedom.

Celestine says: Take care, all of you. If you ever need anything, reach out. And don’t worry about Sazzmi. Vassandra and the others are working on that modified ritual to see if she can take it. She agreed. She’s quite cooperative. May the ancestors guide you wherever you go.

Tobias also meets with the group.

Tobias Mistmantle says: This is goodbye, eh? We’ve got a nation to rebuild, you got more baddies to take care of.
Liiraluma says: Take care.
Tobias Mistmantle says: You too! And don’t forget to have fun. I don’t think you need much of a reminder, but hey, always good.
Liiraluma says: I’ll keep it in mind.
Tobias Mistmantle says: If you’re in the area, stop by. Might be nice to reminisce. And other things.
Liiraluma says: Sounds good!
Tobias Mistmantle says: Rest of ya, take care of yourselves, eh?
Uther Menethil says: To the best of my ability.
Tobias Mistmantle says: I’m not one for goodbyes. So.

He waved them off and sauntered away.

Ramsey also found them as they were getting ready to leave. He straightened his glasses as he caught up with them.

Halford Ramsey says: I’m glad I got you all before you left! Last thing I wanted to do was let you go without another tearful goodbye, I’m sure. I won’t waste your time. You already know you’re the saviors and all that. But!

He withdrew some small cards from his coat and spread them out.

Halford Ramsey says: If you ever need the help of a detective…

He handed each of them a business card with his name and postal information.

Halford Ramsey says: You need only ask. Safe travels. And miss Velameestra, are you certain you don’t want to do more collaboration in the future? I find myself suddenly absent of a partner.
Velameestra Windrunner says: I never said I was opposed to collaboration. I’m just not in a position to take a permanent career offering. But I do have something.

Vel reached into the pouch on her belt, and she pulled out an ornate pocket watch with an onyx gemstone inlaid in the face of the clock.

Velameestra Windrunner says: I made this for you.

Ramsey took it and examined it in his hands.

Halford Ramsey says: Heavens, this must have cost you a fortune.
Velameestra Windrunner says: If you ever need someone to bounce ideas off of, feel free to give me a sending. It’s attuned to mine.
Halford Ramsey says: A functional pocket watch and a sending stone… you truly are brilliant.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Takes one to know one.

Ramsey laughed.

Halford Ramsey says: I don’t even know what to say to that! An incredibly heartfelt gesture! I appreciate it.

Vel also extended the same offer she had given to the Greymane family if Ramsey wished to have a chance to someday get some closure with his sister, though Ramsey refused and expressed that he felt he got the closure he needed with the Ritual of Balance.

Halford Ramsey says: But I do thank you. And I believe she would too. But I have enough gray hairs, and you all need to be off!
Velameestra Windrunner says: Keep in touch.
Halford Ramsey says: You as well. Ta ta, everyone!

Ramsey bowed and headed off on his way.

Vassandra, Lyros, and Talran also bid their farewells. Vassandra stopped Seria briefly and told her that if she ever needed more advice to reach out, but ultimately the grove in the Blackwald would ever be open to her. Qiana also thanked everyone for watching out for Tol’vas, and everything else they had done.

Belysra, likewise, thanked them, and said that eventually she would be heading back to Kalimdor. However, she felt that wasn’t going to be the last time they spoke. She told Elissa she would love to introduce her to her cousin in the future as well, and Elissa was very excited about the idea.

Morra, however, was leaving with the group, and Belysra gave her a hug goodbye.

Belysra Starbreeze says: Let's not make it quite so long before seeing each other again, okay?

Morra nodded.

Morra Starbreeze says: Okay.
Belysra Starbreeze says: Alright, I’m going to leave before I start crying! Goodbye everyone!

As the group started to prepare to make their way back to Karazhan, Isiden Perenolde flagged Uther down. He was carrying a large satchel.

Isiden Perenolde says: I’m glad I found you before you left! Isiden Perenolde, I know we met before. I was wondering… you’re taking this fight to Daval Prestor, yes?
Uther Menethil says: That is the plan, yes.
Isiden Perenolde says: Well, Alterac is my home, despite the fact I’ve lived here for most of my life. If there’s anything I can do to help you, I want to, so if you’ll have me, I’ve already prepared my things, as you can see. That was presumptuous of me… but I would like to assist. I don’t know what Alterac will look like, but if I can be a part of this, I can maybe begin to heal the wounds left by my bastard uncle.

Uther smiled and held out a hand.

Uther Menethil says: Well then. Welcome to the Death Adders!
Isiden Perenolde says: Is that the name of your group?
Velameestra Windrunner says: For right now.
Liiraluma says: Wasn’t there some hand gesture that went with it?

Luma made some vague striking motions with their hands.

Velameestra Windrunner says: It’s not really… formal… it’s more of an... inside thing. But. Yes.
Isiden Perenolde says: Regardless, I’d be happy to help! I won’t be the most useful in martial matters. I have gotten adept with the crossbow over the years, but my expertise is elsewhere. If there are any sorts of logistics or diplomacy that you believe I could help with, I would be glad to assist.
Uther Menethil says: We’ll be happy to have you.
Isiden Perenolde says: Thank you for your generosity! And that’s all I have to say. I’ve held you up enough. Lets get going, shall we?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Have you ever teleported before?
Isiden Perenolde says: …Uh… pardon me, what?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Have you ever teleported before?
Isiden Perenolde says: Teleported… like with magic? Oh, heavens no.
Velameestra Windrunner says: Then you had best hang on to someone if that’s the case.
Uther Menethil says: You’ll probably throw up, it’s alright.
Isiden Perenolde says: We’re going to teleport… like now? That’s how we’re getting back? Oh. Oh heavens. Okay. I did not eat breakfast yet, I was too nervous, but that may be a boon in this circumstance… Anyone terribly mind if I held on to their arm?

Uther just put an arm around Isiden’s shoulders as, on his other side, one of Luma’s arm turrets came out of their bag and extended a hand to him. Isiden took it without thinking as it was handed to him.

Vel counted down for Isiden’s benefit, and then released the spell as they teleported back to Karazhan.

Over the next few weeks in Gilneas, Tol’vas spent his efforts settling around Tal’doren and truly building his new circle. Qiana had decided to eventually shift to her nephew’s circle, and Nandos had been rapidly deputized into his second of command.

Several of the Gilneans had also joined the circle, and Sazzmi also stuck around. Notably, they had kept an eye on her when she interacted with some of the children, and they quickly realized she had started to cry because they were kind to her. She had truly thrown herself into helping where she could.

Tol’vas took moments to meditate at the grave of Ralaar Fangfire, taking care of the seed that he had planted there. He focused on the man Ralaar was before he lost his way. He was headstrong and powerful, but also devoted in his own way. A younger Tol’vas may have seen him as the strongest druid beside Malfurion. He imbued those thoughts into the seed that Thalyss had gifted him.

Valorinn sat next to Tol’vas through it all.

As Tol’vas focused his magic, he saw the seed sprout from the earth, and roots grow into the soil, drinking in the life and light of the man who would now feed the roots. It wasn’t fully grown, but it had started. It was like a dance as the bark spiraled and spun, and its branches spiraled out like a dancer striking a pose. It was almost humanoid in shape. The leaves of the white tree were a deep, beautiful purple

It was the first time Tol’vas had ever seen a dryad tree planted. Leaves fell and regrew, and eventually he and Valorinn were surrounded in a bed of purple leaves.

Then there was a sneeze, and several leaves flew into the air. Tol’vas looked down, and saw a young nymph in the leaves. She resembled a night elf with the lower, unsteady body of a young fawn. She had large green eyes, and her head of leafy hair was the same color as the bed of leaves around them.

Newly Grown Dryad says: Hello!
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Hello.
Newly Grown Dryad says: I’m Taryndrella. What’s yours?
Tol'vas Moonshadow says: Tol’vas.

The dryad started to stand, but then stumbled.

Taryndrella says: This is harder than I thought it would be!

Tol’vas offered a hand to steady herself, and the dryad took it and stood on unsteady legs. She looked up at Tol’vas with a warm and loving smile.

The rest of the group returned to Karazhan. Moroes was already present, awaiting them when they teleported in. He bowed.

Moroes says: Welcome back, everyone. I take it things went well?
Uther Menethil says: Better than expected, to be certain.
Liiraluma says: Almost aggressively fine.
Moroes says: I presume Master Tol’vas stayed behind?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Correct. He has a circle to foster.
Moroes says: Very good. I shall make arrangements that his room be prepared again should he need it, but we could use those supplies elsewhere. I see there are three new arrivals. Welcome to Karazhan, my lords and my lady.
Galadin Windrunner says: Holy… fuck. This is insane. You guys just… you can just come here whenever you want, Vel?
Velameestra Windrunner says: Yes.
Galadin Windrunner says: Holy shit.

Isiden was looking around, wide-eyed.

Isiden Perenolde says: So this Karazhan… I’ve heard stories about it but this is amazing…

Halveria was similarly looking around, but was just nodding her head.

Halveria Darkraven says: Cool.
Moroes says: I shall have rooms prepared for all of you forthwith. My name is Moroes. I am the majordomo. Should you need anything, you need only ask and your wish shall be my command. Master Medivh is out at the moment, but I’m sure he’ll be happy to introduce himself to all of you when he arrives. He should be here either later this evening or tomorrow, hopefully before the rest of you leave, I assume.
Velameestra Windrunner says: We have preparations that need to be made. We will probably be here for a couple days at least.
Moroes says: Wonderful. Is there anything I could get for any of you in the meantime? A bath perhaps? Food? Drink? I would of course be happy to launder your clothing in the meantime and I am more than able to prepare replacements if need be.
Liiraluma says: Bathing. Bathing sounds good!
Moroes says: That’s one bath to be drawn. I’ll draw them for the rest of you should you require them.
Liiraluma says: Magic baths are nice, but there’s something about real ones.
Moroes says: Our baths are both real and magical.

Luma laughed.

Within moments of the group walking in, there was the aggressive flapping of wings, and Riff collided into Seria with a big hug, shifting into his troll form mid-air.

Riff says: You’re back! I’m so glad you’re back!

Seria hugged him back.

Riff says: Did you all win?
Velameestra Windrunner says: We won.
Riff says: Ha! I would expect nothing else from the Death Adders!
Liiraluma says: See?!

Isiden: The Death Adders… that makes sense!

Liiraluma says: They say it’s not a thing, but I have heard it enough to think that it is a thing.
Velameestra Windrunner says: There are different layers of things. The mercenary company known as the Death Adders is new.
Liiraluma says: But you’ve already been calling yourselves the Death Adders. So it’s not all new. Remnii told me about it. Are you just anti-nickname?

Luma smirked at Vel.

Velameestra Windrunner says: There are different categorizations of… I’m not explaining this.
Liiraluma says: No, I want to hear! As a fellow academic.
Elissa Cross says: Are you being mean?

Elissa pointed at Luma.

Liiraluma says: I’m teasing.

Luma put one of their fingertips against the tip of Elissa’s.

Liiraluma says: I do want to hear it though.
Velameestra Windrunner says: The Death Adders is a friend-related… no. I’m not explaining it. Galadin, this is Riff.
Galadin Windrunner says: Hey.
Riff says: Hey!
Liiraluma says: I’m not the only one that needs to learn how to have fun.

Luma squeezed Vel’s shoulder and headed off to investigate the baths.

Riff says: I’m Riff! That’s my mother. Do you want to go play or something?
Galadin Windrunner says: Uh… sure?

Before Galadin could even fully react, Riff had turned back into his blood serpent form and the half-elf was swept away by a creature that was much stronger than him.

Galadin Windrunner says: I’ll catch you later, Vel!

After everyone had gotten settled, they spoke with Moroes about getting outfits that could be used as mundane disguises going forward.

Moroes says: Oh most certainly. We’ve a sizeable wardrobe between costuming and clothing left by former guests. We should have no problem outfitting you with anything you need. I’ll be happy to help as well. Hair trims and colorations and the like.
Halveria Darkraven says: I can help! Um. I mean. I was brought here as the expert. On that kind of thing. So… I can handle that part.
Moroes says: As you wish, Miss Halveria. I look forward to seeing your obviously impressive skills in action.
Halveria Darkraven says: Oh. Yeah. It’s no big deal. I’d be happy to.

Moroes smiled.

Moroes says:: Very good. Lets get to work then, shall we?

Moroes opened a closet that was filled with all sorts of different outfits. They only had to touch an outfit to try it on. Elissa immediately started poking around in the outfits

Vel waffled about whether or not to do a mask, and Halveria told her she absolutely should. Elissa also agreed.

Velameestra Windrunner says: I… suppose that would save me the effort of disguising my face.

Halveria helped do the dye jobs, and Uther also had the sides of his shaved and his hair dyed black. Moroes was looming over Halveria watching her every move and gave kind critiques that Halveria immediately latched on to.

Uther had managed to find something more Stromgardian, and he appeared with a strong accent and introduced himself as “Angus the Bastard”.

Elissa had found regular adventuring armor and had her hair dyed dark brown and cut shorter with bangs.

Vel had taken the name Zelda Morrowsworn, and Elissa had taken the name Hope Daisyfield.
