Veneratus the Many was an ancient observer that had spent the majority of his long life traveling the multiverse to learn as much as he could. He was close friends with Kanrethad Ebonlocke.
Description
Veneratus was a large creature with rubbery blue skin and a nest of tentacles that he used to manipulate the world. His body was nothing more than a spiked, floating sphere with collection of seven bright blue eyes and a massive maw of jagged teeth.
Despite his fearsome appearance, Veneratus was very talkative, jovial, and curious and quick to share tales of his experiences through his long life. He found a great deal of joy in mundane mortal pleasures such as puzzle books and cheese, but would also casually mention the fact he knew horrors and secrets that could break mortal minds simply by learning them.
Biography
Chapter Five: Civil War
Veneratus was present in Venetia visiting his friend Kanrethad Ebonlocke when Uther Menethil and party arrived pursuing Heigan Capless following the outbreak of the plague of undeath in Andorhal. Gilveradin Windrunner had opted to pose as an aspiring mage lord of Venetia in order to draw attention away from the investigations of his fellows, which caught the attention of Kanrethad, who invited him back to his estate so they could speak.
Veneratus was jovial and eager to learn about the interests of the mortals of Azeroth, having proudly declared that he finished the human puzzle book Kanrethad had given him, and he and swiftly engaged "Camtheas Glowsun" in a conversation about cheese as well as other matters until he was asked to give Kanrethad and his new guest some privacy.
He later appeared again when Velameestra Windrunner and Remnii returned with Gilveradin to speak with Kanrethad about the matters surrounding Heigan and the plague of undeath, where he was happy to explain to Velameestra about his species and their supposed origins.
