Legba was a powerful, ancient loa that served as a guardian of the transition between life and the afterlife. As a result, he was also beloved to watch over children when they were first born, as that was the moment of life. He was also believed to be something of a messenger, as he was the loa trolls would pray to if they wished to send a message to the Other Side.
Appearance
Legba had dark blue-purple skin and was typically shirtless, though he wore a variety of necklaces of bones and feathers around his neck. His face was covered in thick black and white skull makeup, and he had violet hair that was braided in locs that fell thickly around his head. One of his most iconic features was a large top hat that was decorated with skulls.
Personality
Legba was said to be the kindest of the ghede loa and he frequently was viewed as something of a big brother figure, which resulted in his moniker of "Papa". He frequently went out of his way to watch over the living, and there were stories of how a man matching his description would lead lost children home. He was very patient and compassionate, which made him very beloved among those that worshipped him.
Biography
Chapter Five: Civil War
Legba appeared briefly to the satyr Nyxxa following an emotional conversation with Zar'Kaa and Bru'kan. The loa casually mused whether or not what Bru'kan was doing for Zar'Kaa would be enough to allow the old man to finally move on, which initiated a somewhat dumb-founded exchange with Nyxxa as she tried to wrap her head around the fact she was talking to a loa. It appeared that Legba was watching over both Zar'Kaa and Bru'kan, but was ultimately rather cryptic in the conversation before he bid Nyxxa farewell, sending the satyr racing to Zekhan for an explanation of who she saw.
