December 7th

The rest of the day, Arthak opts to just take the day off as a day of resting and reflecting. Meanwhile, Halno was splitting his time between a spell scroll and teaching Sagaz common.

Azgadaan returns with Rehgar about halfway through the day, and he is able to catch up with everything that happened after he helps Rehgar get the skarvyn to where he needs them. Arthak approaches Azgadaan after he returns to Gramgun’ker.

Azgadaan says: What the hell happened to you?
Arthak Saurfang says: Rough meeting. Um. Azgadaan. It seems the the skarvyn was successfully?

Azgadaan confirms, mentioning he got most of the group that attacked them--they actually had to leave a few behind.

Arthak Saurfang says: Impressive. I won’t keep you, but sometime when you have an opportunity, I would like to talk.
Azgadaan says: Will you be at your tent? I’ll be by.

Arthak confirms, and after Azgadaan finishes helping Rehgar getting the skarvyn into a secure frostwolf pen he does some shopping.

However, as he is wandering around, he spies Sadras with the Frostwolves. She doesn’t notice him at first.

Azgadaan says: Good to see you!
Sadras says: Oh, you’re back, hey.
Azgadaan says: How have things been?
Sadras says: Yeah. Been fine. Everything is just fantastic.
Azgadaan says: How have you been doing?
Sadras says: Great. Absolutely wonderful. Anything you need? I’m kind of busy at the moment.

She has a number of satchels, and she is lashing some things onto a few bags. Summerpaw is sitting nearby.

Azgadaan says: Would you like me to help with your packs?
Sadras says: I’m fine. Really, I’m fine. Thank you for offering, but I’m alright. I know how to pack. I’m a Frostwolf-- was a Frostwolf.
Azgadaan says: Would you like to talk about the big green man we know?

Sadras takes a deep breath.

Sadras says: I’m going to be honest, right now I would rather talk to you about literally anything but Arthak.
Azgadaan says: Well if there’s anything I can do to help, name it, and I’ll see what I can do. I don’t like the state you’re in… if that makes things…
Sadras says: We all have bad days, Azgadaan. I’m trying to make mine better. Don’t worry.
Azgadaan says: If you need anything. Even just to talk.
Sadras says: Unless you can end this war, fix Draenor, and send everything back to 50 years ago, then there’s not much you can do.
Azgadaan says: ...maybe not, but I’m here to help. Have a good day. Hopefully, you’ll be in better spirits.
Sadras says: Yeah. I hope that too.
Azgadaan says: Oh. And I wanted to apologize. About that battle where I… rode you?
Sadras says: Oh! Don’t worry. It’s fine. I’ve never been a beast before. It was exhilarating.
Azgadaan says: if you want, I can turn you into a frostwolf sometime?
Sadras says: That would be phenomenal. Not right now, but maybe next time. Then you and I can put a rest to whose faster, eh Summerpaw?

She elbows her frostwolf, who whines back at her.

Sadras says: Don’t give me that. It’s not important. Hush or you’re not getting anything else.
Azgadaan says: Well, if you ever want to, we can play games or something.
Sadras says: You continue to be a strange eredar, but maybe I’ll take you up on that sometime.
Azgadaan says: Sounds good.

They part ways, and Azgadaan gets the sense that there is definitely a lot on her mind. As soon as he’s far enough enough, he opts to send Arthak.

Azgadaan says: What did you do?!
Arthak Saurfang says: ...hello Azgadaan.

The reply is left at that. Azgadaan sighs and then heads back to Gramgun’kur with the stuff he purchased. He finds Arthak without much trouble.

Azgadaan says: So. What happened? Your mate is extremely upset.
Arthak Saurfang says: Well, I lost an eye, Azgadaan.
Azgadaan says: I’m aware of that. You’ve been losing a bunch. It’s been, what, 9 months and--
Arthak Saurfang says: Two fingers, one eye.
Azgadaan says: Walk me through what happened?

Arthak walks Azgadaan through what happened.

Azgadaan says: So you did that...I can imagine why she’s so angry. She just got together with you and she’s losing a bit more of you. We have some time before we go to the mansion. You, my friend, need to take a break before something terrible happens between you two.
Arthak Saurfang says: Azgadaan. I appreciate the concern, and I know you mean well. But what happens between me and Sadras is between me and Sadras. That being said, in regards to the manor, Halno has something he is going to be doing for a time, so that delays things, whether I like it or not.
Azgadaan says: Alright. I’ll go talk to Halno and see what his timetable is for his… thing.
Arthak Saurfang says: Before you go. Urm… what happened with Bitterstrike and Zokk. Things turned out poorly, but I wanted you to know that you didn’t make the wrong call. If that was bothering you, I mean. Under different circumstances had that been someone with Bitterstrike, reacting that quickly might have saved lives. It was a good instinct, it just unfortunately didn’t pan out well.
Azgadaan says: I’ll take that under consideration. I still need to make it up to that old orc for crippling further. Has he seen other medical attention?

Arthak confirms.

Azgadaan says: is there anything else you’d like to discuss while I’m here? Need anymore pieces to the manor?
Arthak Saurfang says: All that’s left is Runesight, but that’s just money. So no, with your aid in Rehgar’s support, all that’s left is that. As soon as Halno, and everyone else, is ready to proceed, I can make the final arrangements.
Azgadaan says: Alright. If you need anything, contact me at my place of residence. I’ll be moving around for the next few days. Doing a project or two, depending on how much time I have.
Arthak Saurfang says: Hrm… very well. In that case, I won’t hold you up. I apologize if I come off as harsh sometimes. You were trying to help. So.
Azgadaan says: All that I ask is you take my words into consideration. But being harsh is part of who you are.
Arthak Saurfang says: ...That it is.
Azgadaan says: And if you need me to do anything, or if you need my help, just ask and I’ll do what I can. But not as an underling. A partner.
Arthak Saurfang says: When have you been an underling?
Azgadaan says: I’ll let you think on that. Have a good day, Arthak. Lok’tar.
Arthak Saurfang says: Lok’tar, Azgadaan.

As they are about to part ways, someone walks in through the southeastern palisades that lead toward the Sunwell Plateau. The figure is unfamiliar, but the answers come to them as they see them. It’s an ethereal. There is a satchel slung over his back. The energy under his wrappings is a brilliant white, and the clothing this individual wears is set for traveling, but it is also very nice. He doesn’t seem to have any weapons on him.

He is taking a look around.

Azgadaan says: They did say they were going to contact us soon. That must be the contact.
Arthak Saurfang says: Must be.

Azgadaan messages the ethereal and draws his attention to the pair of them. He raises a finger in their direction and ducks his head down and makes his way over.

Ethereal Contact says: A thousand pardons if my pardons has caused any concern. It’s a pleasure to make my way here. I was led to believe this was the home of Arthak Saurfang. Correct?
Azgadaan says: He’s right there.
Ethereal Contact says: Ah! That saves me the trouble.
Azgadaan says: We were expecting you.
Ethereal Contact says: Excellent. My superiors said as much. My name is Viridius. I am one of the fleshhandlers of the Protectorate.

Arthak approaches as they are speaking.

Arthak Saurfang says: Diplomat?
Viridius says: Yes, among the Protectorate there are individuals that are trained to deal with those of flesh. I understand in many tongues it doesn’t convey the purpose of what we are… the word in our tongue is elegant, and there is only so much influence I have. I come bearing a line of communication for you. If you’ll give me a brief moment to prepare it.
Arthak Saurfang says: By all means. I am not going anywhere.
Viridius says: Good. My pleasure, lord demon, I didn’t know you would be here as well, but, here we are.

He pulls out a small metal device with a focusing crystal in it. He kneels down and tinkers with it, then holds it into the sky and looks up at the barrier.

Viridius says: Hm. It appears there is some degree of interference with the signal. I did not realize that would be the case.
Azgadaan says: Yes, the ban’dinoriel, the barrier, is blocking all communications. Unless you’re an elf.
Viridius says: I see. Interesting. I wonder how the strike team got in. I’ll have to ask them. I was supposed to establish a line of communication with you and my commander, Ameer. He was to speak with you of suitable payment for your assistance in the field. I was to facilitate this, or deliver a message back. My communications were working beyond the portal…
Azgadaan says: Draenor?
Viridius says: Yes. I believe that was it.
Azgadaan says: Well, I was planning on going to the Vitiator, if you want to come along Arthak.
Viridius says: I could also deliver a message to Ameer. I am happy to act as a mouthpiece. It is one of my many talents as a fleshhandler.
Arthak Saurfang says: No. I can accompany you back to Draenor.
Viridius says: Of course, as long as you are not overburdened by my presence here in this settlement.
Arthak Saurfang says: I imagine you will need someplace to lodge?
Viridius says: Oh, no, not necessary. But thank you.
Arthak Saurfang says: If you need anything, let me know.
Viridius says: Very good. If there is anything you require from me, consider me a friend, ally, and ambassador.
Arthak Saurfang says: My thanks.
Viridius says: Of course!

Viridius bows and then takes another look around, finds a more sparse area, and he then begins to pull things out of his bag. There’s a small rod which magically grows. He does that three more times, and there’s a tarp that follows as he sets up a tent.

Azgadaan also sends Levia, and asks if she is doing okay and if she can get a curse removing spell. She confirms she can, and she’s doing alright. Azgadaan also asks if she wants some orcish lessons and if she can help with some things, and she confirms she can.

Azgadaan goes to collect his armor from Gel’nok, and the mok’nathal does have it done.

Gel'nok says: I was wondering if you’d be getting back. Come here. It’s in this other room.

In the other room, there is an armor stand with the armor on it. The gemstones of the Vindicator armor have been replaced or reinforced. It still has hints of draenic origin, but the colors are more unified, and any amount of ornamentation has been replaced with flat metal.

Azgadaan says: Good work. Thank you very much.
Gel'nok says: Of course. Not my proudest work, but hope it’s up to your standards.
Azgadaan says: Just happy to have some armor that isn’t stuck to me.

Gel’nok holds his hand out to collect the rest of the payment, and Gel’nok pockets it.

Gel'nok says: All yours.

He lumbers away and leaves Azgadaan to collect his armor and shield. The rest of the day he heads off to start working on his projects, though he stops by to check on Levia.

Azgadaan opts to send Nyxxa to inform her that Levia is doing okay, as Nyxxa remained on the mainland. Azgadaan also informs her that they got a lot of skarvyn, but they weren’t able to help the elven spirits. Not yet, anyway.

Levia Blackflight says: I’m not an expert, but if I can assist, I will.
Azgadaan says: Thank you. So where you doing anything today?
Levia Blackflight says: I was helping Mother Kaza, yeah. I believe that’s her name? I’ve been trying to communicate without any magic. She’s been helping me learn a bit more of the greenskin’s tongues… it’s not easy. Hurts my throat a lot.
Azgadaan says: Oh yeah. You’ll get used to that. It’s not as refined as eredun or… common. Your common. Definitely not as refined as… you don’t understand this language do you?

He speaks in Darnassian.

Levia Blackflight says: No. I think it’s an older dialect.
Azgadaan says: Would you like to help me out?
Levia Blackflight says: What are you working on?
Azgadaan says: Have you ever made a magical item? And while we’re doing that, I can help you with orcish.
Levia Blackflight says: Um. Not particularly. I suppose I would have in time. I know the basics… about enchantment, but… I never made anything before.
Azgadaan says: Seems like it would be fun. If you want to. Not forcing you to, but it seems like you could use something to occupy your time.
Levia Blackflight says: I can at least take a look at what you’re doing when I have a moment. I wouldn’t want to distract you. In order to really learn anything, I’d have to distract you too much.
Azgadaan says: perhaps. If you ever feel like it, come hang out.
Levia Blackflight says: yeah, I’ll do so.
Azgadaan says: I’m going to head back to my place. Have a good one. Lok’tar.
Levia Blackflight says: Oh, they say that a lot. I think it means… victory? Lok’tarrr…? I’ll get it eventually.
Azgadaan says: You’re getting there.

Azgadaan heads back and starts working on his project at his home.

Back on the mainland, Nyxxa was spending her time scouting. She has been slipping her sleep schedule so that she can do most of the scouting at night. She does receive a notice from Azgdaan that Levia is doing well, and learning orcish, and Azgadaan himself is trying to make a sending stone.

Nyxxa says: Good to hear. I’ll be back in a day or two… three at most. Let me know if you need anything.

As Nyxxa is lazing about waiting for evening and resting, she finds a pile of corpses that were likely thrown there from the many battles. It is obvious that the corpses are of not only orcs, but also elves, and the smell is powerful. There are also hundreds of rats swarming over the pile. The rats seem to be pretty distracted, but fearless.

Nyxxa does know that the lowest forms of creatures, like insects and vermin, can sometimes fall prey to more base natures and feed off the unnatural states they may be in. She realizes that she should likely not alert them to her presence, as the rats have likely gorged themselves on fel-infused creatures and become more violent.

Nyxxa uses detect evil and good, and she doesn’t sense any undead or fiends. It doesn’t seem the rats have become fiendish, but they are much more aggressive.

Nyxxa steers clear of them, but as she is starting to get to work, she notices that she is being followed. As she casts a glance back, she sees an orc with a gray leather hood covering the upper half of their face. The hood, at parts, seems to be dyed with blood. She has seen some of these orcs before--the orc’s right hand is missing and replaced with saw of some sort that has been dyed red. Otherwise, she has boiled leather shoulder pads and a harness that covers her breast. Her lower half is covered in a half-skirt or kilt.

Nyxxa says: Lok’tar. Can I help you?
Shattered Hand Orc says: That depends, I suppose. On a lot of factors.

The orc grins and gestures with her head for Nyxxa to follow.

Nyxxa says: And what are these factors, might I ask?

Nyxxa strolls closer.

Shattered Hand Orc says: What you have to tell me.
Nyxxa says: Ah…

Nyxxa follows the orc and she leads her into a ransacked alley. Nyxxa is keeping an eye out for exits. There is a lot of debris, and there are some small ingresses that would lead into the sewers. However, Nyxxa can hear skittering, and she sees a flash of dark eyes from down below. It’s skarvyn.

The orc stops, and Nyxxa can detect at least two others.

The orc then smiles again.

Shattered Hand Orc says: You know, you are far too trusting.
Nyxxa says: The worst thing that happens is I die.
Shattered Hand Orc says: You’re naïve to think that. But you piqued my curiosity, Nyxxa.
Nyxxa says: I see.

Nyxxa detects that her exit has been blocked, and a large skarvyn has stepped into the path.

Nyxxa says [Draconic]: I’m going to assume you’re not an orc.
Shattered Hand Orc says [Draconic]:: Astute. A little bird told me you wished to speak with me. And you have… attracted my curiosity enough where I was willing to entertain the idea. What could you possibly have to talk to me about, demon hunter?
Nyxxa says: Well. I suppose I heard word that had circumstances not arisen, we would have had a second meeting. Though quite different from the first.
Shattered Hand Orc says: Yes, I wager. Instead, that… woman came. Samaara was her name. Yes?

Nyxxa nods.

Shattered Hand Orc says: And you’re condoning this... Resistance meeting of her’s. You were supposed to be there, even.
Nyxxa says: Such as was said.
Shattered Hand Orc says: That is… quite interesting. I’ve gathered that much.
Nyxxa says: I assumed you would be cunning enough to garner that. Hence I wanted to speak with you.
Shattered Hand Orc says: And what did you wish to discuss? Let me guess. You’re afraid that I might spoil your little secret. Leak the information back to the rest of the pigs you wander with?
Nyxxa says: More or less.
Shattered Hand Orc says: No, no no, not unless you become an issue. Though if you did, I’d be more inclined to erase that.
Nyxxa says: Thus, I wanted to make sure I didn’t want to become an issue. I’ve been stepping on hooves, and you’re one I dare not cross.
Shattered Hand Orc says: Would that your friend Arthak and his pet demon held the same.
Nyxxa says: An unfortunate turn of events.
Shattered Hand Orc says: Yes, unfortunate. Quite. I suppose the easiest course of action would be for me to ensure you never make it back to them. Depriving them of such a useful servant would be a small victory. I know your demons return, but the process isn’t pleasant, that I also know. So, Nyxxa, tell me. What could possibly make you so useful that I shouldn’t just see how resilient your particular strain of demon is? I haven’t seen a satyr in thousands of years, and you’re not like most satyrs, that I can tell. I would be very, very curious how that’s affected what makes you tick.
Nyxxa says: I suppose I can be useful to you seeing I’m keeping an eye on both sides.
Shattered Hand Orc says: that’s true. That’s very true, isn’t it?
Nyxxa says: And as they say, war makes for strange bedfellows.
Shattered Hand Orc says: And what, exactly, would you be telling me? The secret plans of your compatriots? Don’t be foolish. I know you wouldn’t tell me anything that would be of impact to them. Sure, you’re helping the Resistance, but… you clearly care for your companions or you wouldn’t have stood up for them to me when we last met.
Nyxxa says: I suppose it wouldn’t look good for me if I were to just let my allies take a blow during such a public meeting. But you’re right, I don’t know what I could offer you.
Shattered Hand Orc says: There is one thing I could think of.
Nyxxa says: And what is that?
Shattered Hand Orc says: I think you know. The whole Horde will burn for what Arthak did, eventually. But… I have to make it sting. And Arthak has crossed me in a way that no mortal has done and survived in far too long.

The orc steps forward.

Shattered Hand Orc says: You’re going to help me get revenge.
Nyxxa says: And what revenge do you find the most suiting?
Shattered Hand Orc says: You are an intrepid young woman, that much is clear. I will leave the exact details to you. You are a satyr, and your kind delights in inflicting suffering. There is clearly something wrong with you, but it’s still there. So I have a deal for you. Make Arthak bleed and suffer for what he did to me. Make him bleed and suffer and burn. And I will grant you boons beyond your wildest dreams. Or. Or you could refuse. And if you do, you will burn like all the rest. No, no. Not like the rest. Likely worse. Demons… you reform in the Nether when you die. Have you died before? Have you felt your flesh torn, strip by strip, bones broken one by one. Have you felt that agony, because that is just the beginning.
Nyxxa says: I understand.
Shattered Hand Orc says: I’m sure you do.

The orc, clearly Sinestra, offers a hand, and Nyxxa takes the hand. As she does, Sinestra grips it, and there is a sharp pain in Nyxxa’s hand, and she takes necrotic damage. And Nyxxa feels dizzy suddenly. She staggers back a bit, but she retains her stance. However, her hand is paler, and she feels light-headed. There is a single drip of blood that falls to the ground.

The skarvyn behind her climbs back into the building and disperse.

Nyxxa says: This is something to ensure that--
Sinestra says: That there’s nowhere in this world you can hide from me, should you choose to play hero. I’ll be watching, my friend.

Sinestra, still in the guise of the orc, turns and slips into the sewer grates.

Nyxxa takes a moment to go over everything that just happened, then she heads off to do scouting. Khadgar also messages Nyxxa that night, and she relays any info she found about the boats.

She also uses see invisibility to look for any spies, and she mentions she followed through with the conversation she spoke about earlier.

Khadgar says: Oh. And how did that go?
Nyxxa says: I think I made a mistake.
Khadgar says: When did you speak with her?

Nyxxa gives the general time.

Khadgar says: I will have to do what I can to learn about where she was. We have people with her at all times… if she managed to get out, that alone is suspicious.
Nyxxa says: She cast a spell on me.
Khadgar says: Did she. Do you know what?
Nyxxa says: No.
Khadgar says: Can you describe what happened?

Nyxxa does.

Khadgar says: Hmm… I can’t be certain, but it sounds like she may have extracted some of your blood. I wager she intends to use that to keep tabs on you. Blood can be useful for scrying, among other things… seeing you are a demon she may have a degree of control over you. If this was her, and she is what you think she is, which I’m starting to believe you’re right, that could be bad for you in the future.
Nyxxa says: I’m aware… but…
Khadgar says: I will try and see if I can find where those vials are stored. If she has them, she will likely still have them unless she was able to stash them.
Nyxxa says: Don’t worry for now. If it’s scrying, I’ve already caught someone scrying on others…
Khadgar says: it’s not scrying I’m worried about. She could use that to bind you in some manner in the future. Forcing you into her subjugation. It wouldn’t be easy, but possible, and the blood would make it more possible.
Nyxxa says: Oh. You’re right. That is a problem.
Khadgar says: Don’t fret too much, not now. But should you ever face her, just be careful.
Nyxxa says: I will.
Khadgar says: There is almost as much power in a demon’s blood as their true name.
Nyxxa says: Well thank you, I didn’t know.
Khadgar says: it varies from demon to demon. For you, I cannot say. I don’t know much about satyrs.
Nyxxa says: She apparently does…
Khadgar says: Just use caution.
Nyxxa says: I know. Thank you.
Khadgar says: Thank you for the information. Every bit you give me is another bit of evidence to reveal her, and when that happens, we’ll make our move.

Sadras does not return to Gramgun’kur as the sun sets.

December 8th

The next day there is a light rain and a strong wind blowing through the trees. Arthak makes some inquiries as to where Sadras was. Those he asked say they saw her storm out, jump on Summerpaw, and ride toward the Frostwolf camp.

He then goes to meet with Azgadaan outside Gramgun’kur as he is finishing a casting on a spell that Arthak had never seen. A flaming portal opens and a large, four-wheeled, infernal machine appears. It’s much more spiky and garish than Azgadaan likes, and there is a hatch in the top the two can climb into.

Azgadaan says: Ready to go?
Arthak Saurfang says: This is new.
Azgadaan says: I got tired of walking. I remembered how much easier it was to get around back home, so I brought a bit of it here.
Arthak Saurfang says: Impressive. You never have been fond of slow travel. Well, lets go then.

They get in after fetching Viridius, and they take off. It seems to be powered on straight fel energy. They drive straight into the Dark Portal and materialize back on Draenor. They can see the Vitiator above them, and Azgadaan knows that nearby is a teleporter.

In the distance, some ways away, Arthak can see a Frostwolf banner.

Arthak Saurfang says: Azgadaan. That magic you contacted me with. Does it work between worlds?
Azgadaan says: Yeah. It could work across any plane. I just need to know about what location they are.
Arthak Saurfang says: I see. Could you do me a favor?
Azgadaan says: Potentially, yes.
Arthak Saurfang says: Would you mind sending Sadras, specifically towards the banner of the Frostwolves over there?
Azgadaan says: Over there?
Arthak Saurfang says: Yeah, that one.
Azgadaan says: Would you like me to say anything specific?
Arthak Saurfang says: No.

Azgadaan casts sending to Sadras.

Azgadaan says: Hi Sadras. I was wondering how you are doing today. I just wanted to check in and see if you’re alright.
Sadras says: Azgadaan, told you I was fine. Thank you for checking, but really, I’m fine.
Azgadaan says: She answered. Said she was… fine. Which I’ve grown up with a lot of women around. That’s not good.
Arthak Saurfang says: I think a worse thing is her going to another world without telling me.
Azgadaan says: Yes.

Arthak sighs.

Arthak Saurfang says: Would you mind doing me another favor?
Azgadaan says: That’s two now, but who’s counting? But yes.
Arthak Saurfang says: Would you mind sending her again and asking her if she’ll talk to me. Since we’re in the area.
Azgadaan says: Just give me a moment.
Arthak Saurfang says: Take your time.
Azgadaan says: Sadras. I was wondering if you’d be willing to talk to Arthak because we are in the area. I brought him out here so we could get some personal business done. But we saw you.
Sadras says: Business huh? Tch. Sure. If he wants to talk so bad. Why not?
Azgadaan says: Alright. We’ll be right over.

They get back in the vehicle and drive over to the Frostwolves.

Arthak Saurfang says: Apologies, this is a personal matter.
Viridius says: Should I give you more privacy?
Arthak Saurfang says: I will need some in a moment.
Viridius says: Of course. No rush.
Azgadaan says: Technically she was part of the favor.
Viridius says: Of course. Of course.

They stop the infernal machine just outside the Frostwolf camp. They see Go’el, and about a half dozen orcs. Sorak and Wintermaw are also there with Sadras. Azgadaan hops out to talk to Go’el and Sorak to give Arthak and Sadras some privacy.

Go’el says: Azgadaan, wasn’t expecting you here.
Azgadaan says: I wasn’t either.

Sadras has a look, and has not stood up.

Viridius says: I shall stay in the vessel for now. If you need me, I’ll be here.

Go’el looks at Arthak, and then to Sadras, who did stand up to walk away from camp.

Go'el says: Did she not tell you she was coming?
Arthak Saurfang says: ...

Go’el sighs and shakes his head.

Arthak follows after Sadras, who walks a short distance from the encampment. She stops and turns back to him.

Sadras says: What do you want? How did you find me?
Arthak Saurfang says: I saw the banner and I had a feeling.
Sadras says: And what?
Arthak Saurfang says: You didn’t tell… I thought we were going to be able to talk again.
Sadras says: Yeah, and maybe we would. I don’t… I don’t even know what to say to you right now. It would have been a lot easier if you just let me do this.
Arthak Saurfang says: Just go? Is this what you want?
Sadras says: I don’t KNOW Arthak. But this, right now, what you feel right now? This is how I felt. Every time you run off to whatever big schemes you have.
Arthak Saurfang says: ...I know.
Sadras says: I don’t want to just leave, but it hurts right now to stay. I can’t watch you do this to yourself, and I can’t do anything to help you. I’ve never been able to. Maybe here I can do some good. Help Go’el. Maybe you were right the whole time. Maybe I’ve just been too stupid to see it.
Arthak Saurfang says: You’re not stupid. I... don’t know what to say.
Sadras says: I don’t either. You mean so much to me Arthak, but I can’t just sit here and watch you kill yourself. I can’t do anything to help you, and it’s burning me up inside. Nothing I do…
Arthak Saurfang says: You were there with me at the academy. The gronnmaster. You listened when I… was trying to figure out what to do about Blackhand.

Sadras looks down.

Sadras says: So what happens next? Do I just… go back and continue watching you just… destroy yourself? I don’t know if I can help you, Arthak, not really. I was a fool to think I could.
Arthak Saurfang says: You’re not a fool.
Sadras says: You keep saying that, but I’m not convinced. I’d have to be to fall in love with you. Go’el told me everything. About why he needed to go. About what we could find here.
Arthak Saurfang says: That’s why I ran off to talk to him that night. What I’m doing… I’m trying to save our people from what we’ve been becoming. And I… I have no right to ask you to stay. I’m trying not to fall apart or die or any of these… I want to see this through to the end but there are no easy answers, no promises I can make that it’s going to be alright. I want to. I really want to. But I don’t know what’s going to happen, and I’m just trying to do what… I’m trying.
Sadras says: What do you want me to do, Arthak?
Arthak Saurfang says: I just want you to be happy.

Sadras shakes her head with a quiet laugh.

Sadras says: That’s a low blow. Calling back to that day we spoke. When we first got to Azeroth. That was low. It worked. But it was low.
Arthak Saurfang says: I still mean everything I said. I love you. I’m sorry I’m so bad at it.
Sadras says: And I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. That was… also a pretty low blow, wasn’t it? Childish. Thinking I could just run away and teach you a lesson. It’s not really what a mate should do. I’ll go back with you. I won’t lie and say that part of me didn’t want to be a part of this quest Go’el’s going on. But I want to be a part of your life more. I want to see your life more. You’re more important than any adventure. Any glory. Any hunt. Even if you’re a damned bastard sometimes. And even if the path is hard… it would be irresponsible of me to let you walk it alone just because I can’t keep up. I’ll just have to get better at moving faster, or at least dragging you backwards to keep an eye on the road. Maybe both.
Arthak Saurfang says: That sounds safe.
Sadras says: I’ll have to talk to Go’el. Tell him I can’t go with them. Sorak will probably be annoyed, but he will get over it.
Arthak Saurfang says: When we get back… after this meeting with the ethereal, if you want, I can… I can see about making it safe so I can tell you everything. The way I should have. The whole plan.
Sadras says: I would like that. I want to be able to help you. I want to be able to watch your back. And I guess now you, uh… you could use a little extra help for that.
Arthak Saurfang says: until I get around to making a new eye.
Sadras says: I can pick up the slack in the meantime.
Arthak Saurfang says: There’s no one I trust more. Thank you.

Sadras smiles and she wraps her arms around Arthak and presses her forehead against his. Then she turns back to the camp with Arthak’s hand in her’s.

In the meantime, Azgadaan was speaking with Go’el.

Go'el says: Yes. Me and the warband I’ve gathered are doing some reconnaissance. Trying to find out more about the Dragonmaw.
Azgadaan says: Have you asked the big guy over there?
Go'el says: We learned as much as we could, but I’d rather trust the evidence of my own eyes.

Azgadaan is sure Go’el isn’t telling him everything, and it is passing strange that the chieftain of the clan would be leaving now, of all times.

Azgadaan says: Strange. Did the Dragonmaw sleight you in any way?
Go'el says: Not directly, but they present a danger to the Horde as a whole, and ultimately they are a threat that I fear won’t be addressed unless someone does something about it. There are problems that perhaps I should see to.
Azgadaan says: Well, I hope you see to them.

He winks, and Go’el cocks his head.

Azgadaan says: By the way, did you still want us to see about that elemental business so when you come back?
Go'el says: Oh. There’s no obligation. I won’t say no, but you all have many things on your plate. When I return, I’ll see to what needs to be done.
Azgadaan says: It seems I need to find a few pieces. Some ore connected to that world. So hopefully I can find something of that kind, and I can begin construction.
Go'el says: I wish you luck.
Azgadaan says: And I hope you all fair well out here.
Go'el says: We will. Draenor is our home, after all.

Azgadaan expresses he wanted to apologize to Sorak, but he’s busy, and Go’el says he’ll pass a message along.

Shortly after, Arthak and Sadras return.

Sadras says: Go’el.
Go'el says: When were you planning on telling me you didn’t tell your mate?
Sadras says: Ideally, much later than this. But…

Go’el shakes his head and puts a hand on her shoulder.

Go'el says: You don’t need to say anything. It’s fine. You can go back. We’ll be alright.

Sadras smiles sheepishly and heads into the camp to gather her things. Go’el gives Arthak a nod, and Arthak returns it with a faint smile. In a matter of moments, Sadras returns with her things. The rest of the Frostwolves gather their belongings and ride off, bidding one last farewell.

Sadras says: Ready when you are.
Arthak Saurfang says: Eghh… well, Azgadaan, you also have business on the Vitiator?
Azgadaan says: We do. But we all have business with our friend.
Arthak Saurfang says: Correct. I was figuring we could take care of that, then Sadras and I could wait while you see to your business.
Azgadaan says: Yes. Or, if you like, we can go through the Vitiator together. I don’t think either of you have been up there.
Arthak Saurfang says: Eeerghh….
Azgadaan says: But, that’s up to you. Sadras, I have room in the vehicle for your belongings.
Sadras says: Convenient. What is this?
Azgadaan says: It’s a non-military transport that my family has.
Arthak Saurfang says: … I sort of want one.
Azgadaan says: Well, give me a bit more time and I can make us a big boat, or even… I’m not strong enough yet, but maybe an aircraft eventually.
Arthak Saurfang says: An aircraft?
Azgadaan says: No weapons though.
Sadras says: Don’t you think your father would be upset?
Azgadaan says: He has thousands of them.
Sadras says: I guess I can give it a go. Summerpaw, you don’t mind trying to keep up with us?
Azgadaan says: We can bring Summerpaw with us! I can turn her into a pup.
Sadras says: As adorable as that would be, I think she wants to prove herself.
Arthak Saurfang says: In regards to your invitation, do you want us to come?

Azgadaan just says he’s intending on doing some shopping, specifically a jeweler’s kit.

Arthak Saurfang says: if you need one, Azgadaan, I have some tools for that purpose. I’m not sure if they are eredar standard, but…
Azgadaan says: That’s why I’m going to the Vitiator. I’d rather have familiar things.
Arthak Saurfang says: Fair. I understand that. Well. Again I’ll leave it up to you. Do you want us to come?
Azgadaan says: Depends on how curious you are. It’s an experience.

Arthak looks to Sadras.

Sadras says: I’d personally rather stay on the ground, if I’m being honest.
Azgadaan says: Alright. I’ll be quick. You can take the vehicle for a spin if you want, but you’re not familiar with the controls… neither am I, but the spell helps.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’ll… leave it stationary, but I may take a look.

Azgadaan opts to run to the Vitiator first before dealing with the ethereal, and he is back relatively quickly.

Arthak takes a look at the vehicle while Azgadaan is gone. It’s very heavy and sturdy. The wheels are large and can likely drive over a lot of difficult terrain. He looks into how it runs, and he can tell whatever powers the vehicle has a fel green glow under the back two wheels. He can’t get a real good look at it. The best he can tell is that the power source is a magically, mechanical hybrid that burns fel fire. Inside the heated core is a flaming, pulsing heart of fire.

Arthak Saurfang says: Hmmm. Interesting. Viridius, do your people have machines like this?
Viridius says: We have other crafts, but nothing like this. The technology of the Legion is impressive, and I can say for certain that some of the weaponry and craft they have is an amalgamation of many different sources. The Legion tends to draw from many peoples, both demonic and otherwise. The weapons and siege equipment that has been used has been assimilated into what you see here at a baseline. I know in the past there have been some groups, the Consortium one of them, that have done trading with the Burning Legion. I imagine the technology they gathered from my people have also joined theirs. In addition to other technologies. It’s an impressive array of magical weaponry and technology.
Arthak Saurfang says: Interesting.

As Arthak continues to poke around, Viridius sets up his communication device as Azgadaan returns.

Viridius says: I’m prepared when you are.

They give him the go ahead, and the device crackles to life with purple energy. A translucent image of another ethereal appears. He has a long armored skirt, and battle armor that covers much of his body. He also has white energy beneath his bandages.

Viridius says: Establishing connection with Commander Ameer. This is Fleshhandler Viridius.
Commander Ameer says: Communications established, fleshhandler. Well done. Greetings, I am Commander Ameer, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. To whom do I owe the pleasure of speaking?
Azgadaan says: Prince Azgadaan of the Burning Legion. And to my left, this is…
Arthak Saurfang says: Arthak Saurfang, chieftain of the Broken Blade.
Commander Ameer says: Karim mentioned the two of you. It’s a pleasure to speak to you personally. Allow me to thank you for your assistance.
Arthak Saurfang says: Also this is my mate, Sadras.
Commander Ameer says: Ah yes, you too were there. Good good. I believe we have something to speak us. You have done my people a great service, as such I am prepared to render whatever aid I can to you. You have a friendship with the Protectorate, and what assistance we can render, and how we can further this partnership depends on what we decide here.
Arthak Saurfang says: Prince Azgadaan, do you know what arrangements you would like for yourself? I imagine you have your own advantages you would seek from this relationship?
Azgadaan says: I do. I’m requesting help in building a strong magical item in the future. I don’t have the materials, but I will be gathering them.
Commander Ameer says: I see. We can accommodate something like that. Depending on the nature. If you are able to describe it to my agent, I imagine he will be able to reach out to whatever resources we have. We have partnerships with many other Nexus Princes, the Consortium being one of the more prominent ones.
Azgadaan says: Good to know. Thank you.
Commander Ameer says: Of course. And for you, chieftain? I understand that you have a clan of orcs under your protection, yes? I have an offer if you would like a suggestion.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’m more than happy to hear.
Commander Ameer says: If you would allow it, I would station Viridius as a more permanent ambassador. He would be able to act as an intermediary, and be able to offer his assistance. He will also will be able to get in contact with traders from the Consortium, the Nexus Traders, or any other groups that may be able to provide their wares or services, not to mention a number of mercenaries should you be able to hire them.
Azgadaan says: Do you have your own currency?
Commander Ameer says: We do, but we pride ourselves from taking currency from all worlds. Provided it is authentic, of course. You will find most of the mercantile consortiums share that. Those that you would wish to consort with, of course. While I cannot guarantee that the Protectorate will be able to provide you military assistance, there are many military groups from within many sectors of the ethereal influence that will fight for your coin, if that’s what you require.
Arthak Saurfang says: Speaking for myself, commander, I am more than happy to hear your offer as it is in line with what I was going to ask. As it stands, my clan is… very young. Though it has grown quickly, but its youth still holds it back. It lacks access to certain resources.
Commander Ameer says: I see, we could assist you with this. The protectorate has a small amount of resources if that’s what you desire?
Arthak Saurfang says: No, establishing a relationship is what I desire. Having Viridius here on a more permanent basis would be quite suited for that purpose. I hope with his presence here, he would be able to educate my people about yours and what lies out there beyond Draenor and the world on the other side of the portal.
Commander Ameer says: Absolutely. There is a great deal to be found in the Great Dark Beyond, and we can share that knowledge. We can at least warn of dangers.
Arthak Saurfang says: And should our relationship continue to grow, perhaps we can make further arrangements. Viridius mentioned your technologies, and in the future I’d be interested in knowledge of that down the line. Perhaps engineers to educate my clan.
Commander Ameer says: That is something that could be arranged with the right contracts in the future.
Arthak Saurfang says: Of course.
Commander Ameer says: I do wager, that likely sometime in your lifetime an arrangement could come to pass. Unless there are any oppositions to this Viridus, consider this your posting.
Viridius says: Copy that, commander. I will do my best.
Commander Ameer says: Very well. If you require need of me, Viridius should be able to establish contact. But for the time being, I have things I must take care of.
Arthak Saurfang says: Of course.
Commander Ameer says: Very well. It was a pleasure. Ameer over and out.

The image then cuts.

Arthak Saurfang says: Well. That went well.
Azgadaan says: Yes. It did. Well, once the barrier is down we can do that on the other side.
Arthak Saurfang says: Indeed. Well. Is there anything else you need to do here, Azgadaan?
Azgadaan says: No, I’m done. For now. But I think we need to find a better spot for our new friend seeing he will be with us for a while.
Viridius says: yes, I suppose I can create something more permanent.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’ll ensure a place is found for you.
Viridius says: Much appreciated.
Arthak Saurfang says: Of course.

The group heads back through the portal to Azeroth.

December 8th-12th

During the brief time skip, Halno continues to work on his scroll, and he then once again tries to talk to Sylvos.

However, this time, as Halno tries to do the same thing he did before and segment his essence to the scepter. His senses dull and he almost blacks out. He has trouble tracking a lot of things.

He comes back to and he finds himself in the same place he was. He’s not sitting exactly where he was, and his things are a bit of a mess. An ink well is spilled completely. But the ink is long dry. As he looks outside, it's a drastically different time and weather. As he checks, Halno finds that he had been comatose in a meditative trance. At one point Sagaz heard a ruckus, and when he checked on Halno, he was sitting and rocking back and forth strangely, muttering something in a language he didn’t understand, but when Sagaz tried to say something, he slipped back into the trance. It had been about three days.

As Halno rationalizes what happened, he wages that because the connection had already been tampered with, but the more time that passes between the time at Falthrien Academy, and Sylvos’s emergence, and now, the harder it is going to be to coax him out. Also, keeping track of the passage of time in the comatose state is exceptionally difficult. However, he is able to get a pretty good grasp of what happened.

It seems Sylvos had a panic attack, tried to leave, stumbled, and then had a bit of a breakdown.

Halno opts to try sending Sylvos.

Halno says: If this is Sylvos and you can hear this, I’m attempting to get in contact with you. But I’m unsure how. Next time you arrive, I need you to leave clues.

Halno waits for a moment, but there is no response. He can’t tell if it worked or not. The spell did not seemingly fail.

Halno has Sagaz fetch Levia.

Levia Blackflight says: What do you need?
Halno says: Thank you for coming, Levia. I’m having a bit of an issue with the past.

Levia blinks.

Halno says: Did you know Sylvos Windrunner?

Levia's mouth flaps for a moment.

Levia Blackflight says: I knew of him by reputation. Not him personally. Most elves know about Windrunners. It’s one of the more prevlent noble families… was.
Halno says: No, I’m sure they’re still a thing. Anyway. I’m sure you know he died defending the docks. However, he decided to remain.
Levia Blackflight says: How is that possible? Is his spsirit here? I know they discovered something like that on the mainland.
Halno says: His spirit could be here, but I would not be aware of it. It would seem he’s trying to take possession of his body back. His body of which I am in possession of.

Levia blinks again.

Levia Blackflight says: Oh.
Halno says: Of course, this body I didn’t choose. You’re aware I’m dead, yes?
Levia Blackflight says: Yes, I surmised.
Halno says: Also not my body. What I need from you… in all the chaos at the Falthrien Academy, that celestial creature afflicted me with a fear that penetrated through my senses, and Sylvos made a total recovery. I’m intending to strengthen that connection. I’m not sure why I want to. I’m sure he’d be interesting to talk to. And that’s where you come in, Levia.
Levia Blackflight says: And what do you need me to do?
Halno says: Well. I believe you did something to those ghosts on the bridge that caused them to flee?
Levia Blackflight says: That’s correct. I don’t understand why, but I understand how.
Halno says: Well you nearly affected me.
Levia Blackflight says: I had a feeling.
Halno says: I’m hoping you may try again. Obviously, this is up to you.
Levia Blackflight says: I… Um… I’m… I’ll think on it… I’m not exactly sure… I don’t know how he’ll react. He might attack me. I don’t exactly… he was a powerful archmage. I’ll think on it. I don’t really understand how such a thing is possible, but I promise I’ll answer soon. If that’s okay.
Halno says: I mean I can’t force you.
Levia Blackflight says: Right. Right.
Halno says: Well, I suppose I could attack you and force you to fear me.

Levia eyes him warily.

Halno says: I’m not going to attack you. You’re free to go.
Levia Blackflight says: O-okay…

She nods and watches Halno closely as she leaves.

Halno says: Oh, Levia?
Levia Blackflight says: Yeah?
Halno says: Don’t tell anyone.
Levia Blackflight says: Right. Right.
Halno says: That is not a request.
Levia Blackflight says: I understand.
Halno says: Have a lovely day.

Halno turns his back to her and continues what he was doing. Which is continuing on his scroll he was working on.

In the five days that Nyxxa had, she continued to keep an eye on things, and then heads back to Gramgun’kur. She passes all the info to Samaara, and Samaara gives her a note in draenic to pass off to her second-in-command, Hama, who is the blacksmith of the Ati-kaso.

Before Nyxxa leaves the mainland, she finds Caria and tells her she’s going back to Quel’danas, but when she comes back she wants to go hit up the Shadowsword to find some recruits.

At Gramgun’kur, Nyxxa catches up with Arthak and learns everything that happened. Including that he’s missing an eye.

Nyxxa processes the situation. And accepts the situation. It could have been worse.

But she asks what the plan is.

Arthak Saurfang says: For now, waiting on Halno. Him. Azgadaan. They both have business to see to. When they’re ready I’ll make arrangements with Runesight and we will hit Kilnar’s manor. That being said, I have a favor I need to ask you.
Nyxxa says: And what is that?

Nyxxa uses see invisibility.

Arthak Saurfang says: Actually make that two favors. One is personal, the other is business. Business first. I need you to pass word to your contacts. I need them to act fast regarding the Mist. The situation with Blackhand… changes how I can handle things.
Nyxxa says: So you’re requesting they move on it sooner?
Arthak Saurfang says: However you need to frame it. They have until Kilnar’s manor falls. After that, it will see use if it’s not taken care of.
Nyxxa says: I see.
Arthak Saurfang says: You can have overheard it, you can have contacts, whatever you need to tell them.
Nyxxa says: I understand.
Arthak Saurfang says: It’s a favor. Like I said. But it is also important. You don’t have to.
Nyxxa says: I can make it so I’m not the one that delivers that news, but… it’s good to at least let them know.

Nyxxa rubs her temples.

Nyxxa says: What was the other favor?
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes. I need to tell Sadras some things, and I need to make sure it’s safe when I do. That being said, for matters of… I need your eyes, but there are things that I need only Sadras to hear.
Nyxxa says: I understand. So you want me to scope the premises.
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes, and keep an eye. It shouldn’t take too long.
Nyxxa says: I understand, who am I to keep… I can’t think of the words… disturb the sanctity of lovers?
Arthak Saurfang says: I guess that’s one way you could put that.

Nyxxa shrugs.

Nyxxa says: But I can definitely do that for you.
Arthak Saurfang says: I appreciate it, Nyxxa. How is everything else going? I need no details, but…

Nyxxa grimaces.

Nyxxa says: I… Sinestra found out about me. I’m looking to have it dealt with, but… she didn’t cast any spells preventing me to speak about it, so that’s good. Essentially, imagine someone who viewed what you did to her as a slight, and then just… worse.
Arthak Saurfang says: So she intends on revenge on me personally.
Nyxxa says: And the Horde.
Arthak Saurfang says: ...not unexpected.
Nyxxa says: I don’t think… she seems to be an interesting individual, but...I will do what I can about that, but I made my bed when I decided to do what I did, so do what you need to do… she said she wouldn’t unless I do something against her, but… I already said you can throw me under the cart if needed.
Arthak Saurfang says: Good to know. You’re not expendable, Nyxxa, so no, it’s fine.
Nyxxa says: Thank you. Let me know when you want to speak with Sadras, and I can oversee.
Arthak Saurfang says: I’ll let you know. And given your situation, Nyxxa, I should let you know… my intended target, should the Resistance fail, Sinestra’s manor.
Nyxxa says: … Oh. Do you want me to share that information?
Arthak Saurfang says: I would personally rather you not, but I take it that any information I give to you that can be used by the resistance will be used. If you can avoid using it, I’d appreciate it. But. Do your job. Whatever that means.
Nyxxa says: Well. Thank you for letting me know. It’s… a sound choice, really. Better than… I don’t like it, but… wait.

She snaps her fingers.

Nyxxa says: Wait. If I can tell Sinestra, or them, that her manor is the target, then she specifically may be more inclined to take action. She might be the one that’s powerful enough to do something about it, to be honest. It’s risky, but…
Arthak Saurfang says: it’s not the move I would make, but I don’t know your situation.
Nyxxa says: Regardless, she controls all the skarvyn.
Arthak Saurfang says: Another reason I intend to hit her manor. Whatever she’s doing in there, whatever she’s started, the Resistance, everything that’s happening is a vehicle for her to push it forward. Even more than my desire to see the Resistance disrupted, I want to see what she’s doing stopped. It serves no interest but her’s, and she is insane.
Nyxxa says: I’m tempted to not argue with you, I’m just fearful at this point if I can. I apologize for this. She is a wild card that… could not be ignored. I will do what I can.
Arthak Saurfang says: If you have to betray me, you have my blessing, if it makes it easier. We both know what’s involved, Nyxxa, and just feel guilt for it after.
Nyxxa says: I don’t want to betray you, Arthak.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know. Just as I would not want to betray you, but…
Nyxxa says: Should the need arise.
Arthak Saurfang says: We both have jobs to do.
Nyxxa says: Anyway, I have much to ruminate about. I’ll be on my way.
Arthak Saurfang says: Very well.
Nyxxa says: I’ll be back later tonight.
Arthak Saurfang says: Of course. Take your time.

That evening, Nyxxa gets a sending from Khadgar to check in.

Nyxxa says: I am… remiss to have to tell you this. I’ve recently learned that after the raid on Kilnar’s manor, unless something is done before that point, the Red Mist will be implemented.
Khadgar says: Do you know it’s target? Do you know where they are keeping it?
Nyxxa says: I know it’s at the tower that was attacked the day of that one meeting.
Khadgar says: I surmised that, I’m just worried they may have more elsewhere.
Nyxxa says: I can start trying to scope for that, but… I have an idea of what the target might be, but I’m afraid that doing so would jeopardize…
Khadgar says: I see. Take no unnecessary risks. We will do what we can to track it down and see if it can be destroyed. Any time you can buy would be appreciated.
Nyxxa says: The good news is that when the barrier around Kilnar’s manor falls, you’ll notice.
Khadgar says: Most definitely. We’ve been keeping an eye on it for a long time.
Nyxxa says: I’ll likely be on the team that raids that place.
Khadgar says: You will do what you must. Kilnar, from what I understand, is crafty. Try not to get yourself killed.
Nyxxa says: I understand.
Khadgar says: Are there any other updates?
Nyxxa says: Nothing for the moment. I’ll be on the island for a few days, but then I’ll return. Once return to the mainland it may be dangerous to contact you.
Khadgar says: if it’s too dangerous, just ignore the message.
Nyxxa says: Will do. I am sorry I had to give you that news.
Khadgar says: I’m glad you did. We’ll do what we can, and hopefully we can save some lives.
Nyxxa says: Indeed. Though… I think something I can tell you, is knowing the high priority targets you know the orcs would know of, you can make a few assumptions based on that.
Khadgar says: We will do what we can.
Nyxxa says: Thank you, and good luck.
Khadgar says: Take care of yourself.

Over the next few days, Nyxxa spends some time with Levia, and she also makes some daggers.

Nyxxa also thanks Mother Kaza for teaching Levia, and Kaza expresses that she had been useful, especially given Sazget is due to give birth soon. Nyxxa asks Levia if she wants to wait to go back to the mainland until after the birth, given more hands on deck are always good, and Levia agrees. Nyxxa tells her to meet her on the mainland after.

Azgadaan was working on his sending stone during the entire time.

Arthak was focusing on his clan, and he was able to tell Sadras about everything. She primarily just sat listening and digesting.

Near the end of the five day period a voice calls Arthak’s name. It’s low and smooth and unfamiliar.

Arthak looks to the source of the voice. It’s a male eredar, and he is tall and a bit more lithe than Azgadaan, and he’s also much smaller. He is wearing a heavy cloak, but his burning green eyes peer from beneath it. He bows.

Mysterious Eredar says: Greetings. I’ve been sent to speak with you by a mutual contact.
Arthak Saurfang says: I see.
Mysterious Eredar says: My name is Val’zuun. My client sent me to inquire if you put any thought to his offer. I know not the specifics. I am merely a messenger. I am a broker of sorts. I’ve been sent as an intermediary to fulfill my client’s debt.
Arthak Saurfang says: I have an answer.
Val'zuun says: What would it be?
Arthak Saurfang says: My clan hungers. It needs resources to grow.
Val'zuun says: So monetary value? I see. That shall be done. On his behalf, I shall acquire the payment that he is willing to offer. It will be in a collection of gemstones and other untraceable pieces from across the stars. Is that sufficient?
Arthak Saurfang says: Yes.
Val'zuun says: I’ll pass it along.
Arthak Saurfang says: There is one more thing.
Val'zuun says: Of course. Messages are on the client’s payroll.
Arthak Saurfang says: Remind him to stay in touch.
Val'zuun says: of course. I wager he will do so, either through me or personally.
Arthak Saurfang says: Very well.
Val'zuun says: There are two additional things that were wished to be conveyed to you. One from my client, another from a different client. Firstly, a matter of concern. One regarding a companion of yours. My client wishes for you to… keep an eye on the young prince Azgadaan. It appears that he’s taken an interest in him. In time I would not be surprised if he reaches out to him again. You may inform him that should Prince Azgadaan require guidance, he is willing to speak with him.
Arthak Saurfang says: I see.
Val'zuun says: I was told to deliver this message to you, so you may choose to give that information to him, not to give it to him directly. Thus I am doing that.
Arthak Saurfang says: And the other client? Might I know who they are?
Val'zuun says: I… do not believe it will require such, how do you say…
Arthak Saurfang says: The message will make it clear?
Val'zuun says: Precisely.
Arthak Saurfang says: Proceed.
Val'zuun says: I thought it safer to transmit her words verbatim. I will allow you to read it. I would not speak them here.

He opens his cloak and his hand seems to disappear in his cloak, and he pulls out a small strip of paper and hands it to Arthak. The handwriting is neat and a bit loopy. It’s clearly from someone Arthak knows.

Remnii’s Note says: I do not have much time to speak. Not a day goes by where I do not think of you, and though much work needs to be done, this world is warm and vast. Keep your heart and head up.
