Warlock: The Wyrm
Original Inspiration: ROYal Brews
Be it for wealth, power, or some other desire, you have made a pact with a dragon. No two Wyrm pacts are the same, but each results with a morsel of the dragons power within you. Such warlocks are often devout followers to their patrons, and go at length to destroy warlocks of other dragons. Known as Wyrms, these patrons may have chosen you for your possibilities in expanding their wealth and power, or to observe what you would do with such powers. Rare do these warlocks work with those of a different patron, but they are truly a menace to their foes when they do.
Patron Spells
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Wyrm Patron Spells table, based on the ancestry of your patron. Each of these spells counts as a warlock spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of warlock spells you know.

Draconic Patron
1st-level Wyrm feature
The type of dragon your make a pact with determines certain features from this archetype. The damage type associated with each dragon is used by features from your Warlock pact. The Wyrm also lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The spells associated with the dragon of your pact are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Draconic Blast
1st-level Wyrm feature
Upon taking this subclass at 1st level, your patron's power empowers your Eldritch Blast. You can choose to have your Eldritch Blast feature deal damage of the type associated with your draconic patron. Additionally, you gain the following benefits as long as you meet the prerequisites.
Bite of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Ray
Your Eldritch Ray scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
Claw of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Smite
Immediately after you deal your Eldritch Smite damage to a creature, you can target a second creature that you can see within 10 feet of the first creature. Roll half the number of your Eldritch Smite dice for your level (round up), and the second creature takes damage of the type associated with your patron equal to the roll’s total, as a claw of energy lashes out at them.
Presence of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Disruption
When a creature fails its saving throw against your Eldritch Disruption, it is Frightened of you until the end of its next turn.
Tail of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Whip
The D20 die result required to activate a flourish with your Eldritch Whip is reduced by 2. When you flourish with your Eldritch Whip, you flourish as if the attacks are Called Shots, and creatures have disadvantage on any saving throws they make against your flourishes.
Gift of the Greatwyrm
1st-level Wyrm feature
At 1st level, you learn to speak, read, and write Draconic, and you become proficient in two of the following skills: Arcana, History, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, or Stealth. Then, choose one of these skills. You gain expertise with the chosen skill.
Draconic Might
6th-level Wyrm feature
At 6th level, you gain resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic patron. Additionally, when you cast a spell that deals damage of the type associated with your draconic patron, add your spellcasting ability modifier to one damage roll of that spell.
Eye of the Dragon
6th-level Wyrm feature
You have gained the ability to channel some of the legendary supernatural senses of your patron. As a Bonus Action, you can use one of the following abilities:
- You take the Search or Study action.
- You have blindsight out to a range of 60 feet, or darkvision to a range of 120 feet, for 1 minute. If you already have blightsight or darkvision from another source, its range increases by 30 or 90 feet respectively.
- You double the range your special senses not gained from this ability for 1 minute.
- You magically detect any gemstones or metallic coins within 60 feet of you. For the next minute, you can tell the exact location and value of any treasures, as well as the presence and rarity of any magic items. The ability can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your spellcasting ability modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.
Devastating Blast
10th-level Wyrm feature
You gain an additional way you can use your Eldritch Blast. You gain the following abilities as long as you meet the prerequisites:
Awe of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Disruption
As an Action, you channel forth the mighty roar of your draconic patron. Creatures of your choice within 60 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened of you for 1 minute.
While Frightened in this way, a creature cannot willingly move closer to you. At the beginning of its turn, a creature takes psychic damage equal to your Eldritch Disruption but with d6 instead of d12. At the end of its turn, the creature may repeat this saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
Breath of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Ray
When you use your Eldritch Ray, you can channel the strength of your patron's dragonbreath to devastate your foes. As long as you deal the damage type associate with your patron, each ray that hits is an automatic critical hit. If you score a critical hit, you deal maximum damage with that ray.
Spine of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Whip
When you flourish with an attack with your Eldritch Whip, you can try and crush your foe with the overwhelming might of your patron. You can spend your flourish to force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC (with Disadvantage due to Tail of the Wyrm). On a failure, the creature is Stunned for 1 minute. At the end of each of its turns, the creature can repeat this save, ending the condition on a success.
Wings of the Wyrm
Prerequisite: Eldritch Smite
When you deal damage with your Eldritch Smite, you can choose to cause the energy to lash out with the spectral wings of your patron's majesty. Creatures of your choice within 15 feet of you or the target of your attack must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw equal to your spell save DC or take the damage of your Eldritch Smite and be knocked Prone, or half as much damage on a success. You may then move up to half your movement speed.
Once you use one of these abilities, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest, even if you have multiple Eldritch Blast options.
Greatest Treasure
14th-level Wyrm feature
At 14th level, the pact boon your patron grants you takes on an aspect of the greatest treasures in their hoard.
Pact of the Blade
Your pact weapon is infused with the power of your patron. You can use a Bonus Action to speak your patron's name, causing energy to surround your weapon. While the weapon is activated, it deals a number of extra d6s equal to half your proficiency bonus of the damage type associated with your patron. The energy lasts until you use a Bonus Action to speak the command word again or until you drop or store the weapon.
Pact of the Cards
Your divination tool is of unmatched quality. While holding it, you can cast scrying at will, without spending mana. If you spend mana while casting it, you can communicate telepathically with creatures you can see within 30 feet of the sensor.
Pact of the Chain
If your familiar is a pseudodragon, it can transform into a larger draconic creature. As a Bonus Action, it can transform into a dragonnel, or back into its pseudodragon form. While in its dragonnel form, your familiar retains its Keen Senses, Magic Resistance, Stealth proficiency, and Intelligence score, but otherwise its stats are replaced with those of the dragonnel except its hit point total is equal to 20 x your proficiency bonus. It otherwise acts using the same rules as your Pact of the Chain familiar.
Additionally, while your familiar is within 1 mile of you, you can communicate with it telepathically, and while mounted on it, you can make any spell you cast that targets only you also target the mount.
Pact of the Talisman
Your talisman is infused with the power and secrets of your patron. Creature wearing your talisman gains resistance to the damage type associated with your patron. If you wear it, you gain immunity instead.
Additionally, the creature wearing your amulet is immune to any effect that would sense its emotions, read its thoughts, detect lies, alignment, or creature type, as well as any Divination spell that it refuses. Creatures can telepathically communicate with you only the creature only if it allows it.
Pact of the Tome
Your Book of Shadows contains ancient lore gifted to you by your patron. While you have your Book of Shadows on your person, your spellcasting ability score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score.
If you have more than one Pact Boon, only one of them may be your Greatest Treasure. You may change which boon is your Greatest Treasure when you finish a long rest.
